Michael Bublé’s Had A Rocky Dating Resume Before His Rise To Stardom

In 2022, Michael Bublé revealed that he was “close” to quitting music. “I think I’m not loving it as much, I think I’m getting close to thinking maybe I can just go and be a dad,” he said of his career on That Gaby Roslin Podcast.
When he was making his comeback, his son had just been diagnosed with cancer. In the podcast, the married father of four said: “I have this picture in my head, of just me in a field with my kids and Ed Sheeran’s kids and we’re just hugging each other and picnicking and getting drunk.”
A lot has definitely changed in the Sway hitmaker’s personal life. But before and during the height of his fame, he had quite a scandalous love life — from past dates calling him an “egomaniac” to admitting that he was “a jerk” to ex-girlfriend, Devil Wears Prada alum, Emily Blunt.
Here’s a closer look at Bublé’s relationship history.
What Happened Between Michael Bublé And Emily Blunt?

In 2008, Bublé and Blunt broke up after three years of dating and admitting that “it’s not easy” being together with conflicting work schedules. “They are no longer a couple,” his rep told People at that time (per Hello). The two seemed head over heels with each other before. “I get tears in my eyes when I see him onstage. It’s overwhelming,” the actress said of the singer in 2007.
The Home performer also said of Blunt: “Every time I see her onscreen, I fall in love with her all over again.” While the latter never spoke of their relationship, the former told Entertainment Tonight Canada in 2008: “In my business it’s tough to go out with another artist because you’re never together.”
“You’re lucky if you can see the person once every two to three months, and with Em, she was on her movies and I was doing my thing so it made it more difficult,” he continued, saying that after their split: “I’ll go home and I’ll curl up in a ball and I’ll cry. I’m not kidding. I’ll just cry.”
The artist confessed to making mistakes in the relationship, too. “I was a jerk and I was careless and reckless with the hearts of women I was with. And I got my karma. I earned it,” he said. “I got my butt and heart kicked and it hurt me enough that I looked in the mirror and I didn’t want it to happen again. If I wanted to be a happy guy and really fall in love, I would have to love myself.”
What Did Michael Bublé’s Exes Say About Him?

In a Pop Culture Chat Reddit thread titled, “Does anyone have any ‘Knew them before the fame story’ for anyone,” a few netizens spilled some tea on Bublé being an “egomaniac” even to his pre-fame exes. “A friend went on a date with Michael buble before he was big. She said his ego was prematurely big. There was no second date,” one shared.
Another replied: “This tracks. There was a bit of a scandal back in 2010ish. An ex partner said he was an egomaniac/self-obsessed jerk who who boast about being great in bed.” Someone even said they’re “still not over that Covid Livestream oopsie where he was being rude to his wife and then quickly switched when he saw the camera was rolling.”
Bublé visibly elbowed his wife on the said video. A user said of the incident: “I am never going to be over that. I’m fully convinced it’ll come out that he’s a nightmare to live with and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was abusive to his wife behind closed doors. He gives me such a vibe.”
Who Is Michael Bublé’s Wife?

Bublé is married to Argentine actress, Luisana Lopilato. The two tied the knot in 2011, three years after meeting at his concert in Buenos Aires. He actually wrote his 2009 hit, Haven’t Met You Yet, for Lopilato. They welcomed their first child, Noah, in 2013. Three years later, they had another son, Elias. Unfortunately, Noah was diagnosed with cancer that same year.
Lopilato gave birth to their daughter, Vida Amber Betty in 2018. A year after celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary, they welcomed their fourth and probably last baby, another girl named Cielo Yoli Rose.
In May 2022, Lopilato appeared in Bublé’s music video for I’ll Never Not Love You. “I thought it would be really cool to be able to travel through those scenes with the love of my real life, my wife, who just happens to be a great actress and happens to be really beautiful and wonderful,” the musician said at that time.
“So, for me, it was this very cool family affair,” he added. In May 2023, he wrote a Mother’s Day tribute to his wife on Instagram, calling her “an INCREDIBLE person. Smart, funny, kind, driven, creative, curious and passionate!”
He said raising their kids together is his “greatest accomplishment.” Lopilato responded in the comments, saying: “I love you mi amor! Thank you for working hard and being happy to see me happy.”
