Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? Trailer Offers First Look at Travis Kelce-Hosted Game Show
Just in time for back-to-school season, Prime Video has released a trailer for its upcoming game show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, which will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Hosted by Kansas City Chiefs tight end and recent Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce, Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? is a star-studded spin on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, which originally aired on Fox. Prime Video’s iteration will launch with three episodes, followed by one new episode weekly; the first season spans 20 installments.

Each episode of Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? features an adult contestant who will rely on a classroom full of famous faces to help them answer 11 questions on a range of subjects, all pulled from an elementary curriculum.
“Rather than compete against the stars, contestants enlist their help and, in some cases, can even ‘cheat’ off of them” in pursuit of the $100,000 prize, the logline describes. For the final question, which is always at the sixth-grade level, the contestant selects one celebrity to discuss the answer with before locking in.

The Season 1 roster of celebrities includes comedians Nikki Glaser, Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer and Ron Funches; Thursday Night Football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick; former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco; Real Housewives of Beverly Hills vet Garcelle Beauvais; Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent; social media personality/podcast host Sophia Stallone; and actress/comedian Lilly Singh.
Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? is part of Prime Video’s “Winning Wednesdays” line-up, which also includes Buy It Now (hosted by J.B. Smoove and premiering Oct. 30), Wish List Games (hosted by Nick Cannon and premiering Nov. 20) and Pop Culture Jeopardy! (hosted by Colin Jost and premiering Dec. 4).
