Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune suspend production out of safety concerns amid LA fires
Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune have joined the number of Television shows that have halted production due to the unprecedented wildfires in the Los Angeles area.
The game shows sent out a memo to audience members scheduled to attend tapings this week.
The popular Invitational Tournament, hosted by Ken Jennings, 50, was supposed to begin taping on Wednesday and go through Friday.
‘Due to the severe weather conditions and out of an abundance of caution and safety for all, all of next week’s Jeopardy show tapings have unfortunately been canceled,’ the notice read, according to The US Sun.
‘This tournament will likely move; however, we have not been given any information about new dates as of yet.’
‘We do hope to see you in the future at a taping of Jeopardy!’ the producers wrote. ‘We apologize for the inconvenience, but hope everyone stays safe.’

The sound stages for Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, 50, and Vanna White,67, are next to each other on the Sony Lot in Culver City, CA.
After shutting down last week, Grey’s Anatomy, Doctor Odyssey and 9-1-1 were set to return to work on Tuesday, according to Deadline.
Cast and crew from Abbot Elementary, All American and The Pitt reported back to work on Monday.
NCIS, NCIS: Origins, Poppa’s House and The Neighborhood, were all back online Monday, according to Variety.
The shows are shooting interior scenes and will not be outdoors, where the air quality is poor due to dangerous particulates caused by the fires.
No word yet on when work on Hacks, Suits: LA, Ted, Loot and Amazon’s Fallout Season 2 will begin again.

The show announced it would be collecting water, diapers, baby food, pet food and other essential items at its offices at 6901 Hawthorne Avenue from 10am through 6pm all week.
