Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings takes brutal swipe at New York Jets as fans make feelings clear
Following a miserable season for the team on the field, New York Jets fans unexpectedly saw their sorrow compounded after a swipe from host Ken Jennings on hit TV show “Jeopardy!”
Fans saw the funny side after “Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings took a savage swipe at the continued struggles of the New York Jets – as he referenced the team’s agonizing wait for another Super Bowl appearance.

Some 55 years have passed since Gang Green last contested football’s storied showpiece, with their only victory in the spectacle coming back in 1969. To date, that 16-7 win over the Baltimore Colts at the Orange Bowl stands as the franchise’s only Big Game triumph.
This current season has been a campaign to forget too for the Jets, with the dismissals of head coach Robert Salah and general Joe Douglas typifying a turbulent year. On the field, the Big Apple outfit has 4-10 record for the season and will miss out on the playoffs for the 14th season in a row.
Now, their misery has been compounded after a round on “Super Bowl History” on TV show “Jeopardy!”, which included a question with the clue: “It’s the only team to play in the Super Bowl before Neil Armstrong’s moon walk that has not been back to the Big Game since.”
The contestants gave Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and Houston Texans as their suggestions, before host Jennings revealed that the correct answer to the puzzle was the Jets, before brutally adding: “The winners of Super Bowl 3, the Jets, are having a pretty rough 55-year streak.”
The savage moment did not pass NFL fans by on social media either, with one viewer admitting to being left somewhat irked by what they had witnessed, saying: “Even jeopardy is s—— on the jets today. I am in hell,” as second said: “Jets fans can’t even watch jeopardy in peace these days.”

A third said: “No one on Jeopardy knowing that the Jets were in a Super Bowl might be the lowest moment of their franchise. Even lower than being in a Final Jeopardy question that’s kinda s—— on them,” while another added: “Damn Final @Jeopardy why you gotta be so hurtful to us Jets fans? We suffer enough!”
After a season to forget for the Jets, it remains to be seen whether quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be sticking around beyond this season. Speculation has abounded in recent times that the 41-year-old could finally hang up his cleats in the near future after what has been a campaign of mixed fortunes.

Speaking out his own future at MetLife Stadium, the veteran star said: “I’m going to wait and see what happens at the end of the season and if they want me back, and what happens with (interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich) and what happens with the offensive staff and obviously the GM at the time, and then they just fired Joe (Douglas).
“There’s a lot of things out of my control when it comes to that. But I really have enjoyed my time in New York,” he continued, before adding that he is undecided about whether to call time on his career, adding: “I don’t even know if I want to play yet, but New York would be my first option.”
