H0T! Britney Spears slams WOF Ryan Seacrest for asking such a stupid question
Britney Spears slams Ryan Seacrest for questioning her parenting in 2007 interview
Don’t hold her parenting against her.
Britney Spears slams Ryan Seacrest in her new memoir over a 2007 interview that focused on whether she was a “fit parent” to her two sons.
“Ryan Seacrest asked me questions like ‘How do you respond to those who criticize you as a mom?’ and ‘Do you feel like you’re doing everything you can for your kids?’ and ‘How often will you see them?’” the singer writes in “The Woman in Me.”
Spears notes in the book, which hit stores Tuesday, that the radio interview “was supposed to be about” her critically acclaimed “Blackout” album.
“It felt like that was the only thing people wanted to talk about: whether or not I was a fit mother,” she recalls.
“Not about how I’d made such a strong album while holding two babies on my hips and being pursued by dozens of dangerous [paparazzi] all day every day.”

Seacrest’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
However, the “American Idol” host, 48, went on to interview Spears, 41, multiple times after the conversation in question.
At the time, the Grammy winner was engaged in a lengthy custody battle with her ex-husband Kevin Federline over their children, Sean Preston, now 18, and Jayden, now 17.

The DJ, now 45, was given sole legal and physical custody of the little ones in January 2008 after Spears was committed to a psychiatric ward.
The following month, the Princess of Pop was placed under the conservatorship that would rule her life until November 2021.
Spears writes in her memoir that she “went along” with the conservatorship “for [her] kids.”

“Because I played by the rules, I was reunited with my boys,” explains the “Crossroads” star, who regained visitation rights in July 2008 and eventually shared 50/50 custody with her ex.
Federline obtained 70 percent custody of Preston and Jayden in September 2019 and recently moved the boys to Hawaii with Spears’ consent.
Although the performer is currently estranged from the teenagers, she dedicates her book to them as the “loves of [her] life.”

Page Six confirmed in September that Spears has not seen her children in nearly two years but does speak to them regularly and did discuss her book with them.
In addition to covering the breakdown of her marriage, her custody battle and her conservatorship, the memoir made headlines prior to its publication for many bombshell reveals.
In the bestseller, the “Toxic” singer writes candidly about having an “excruciating” at-home abortion in 2000 with then-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, shaving her head while “flailing with grief” in 2007 and more emotional moments.
