The Voice fans rejoice as a famous judge makes a grand comeback for Season 27 – “Daddy is back!”
The Voice fans “have all the feelings” as OG judge Adam Levine is “back and taking charge” as he made his return to the panel for the season 27 premiere.
On Monday, Feb. 3 fans were ecstatic as the Maroon 5 frontman made his long-awaited return to the judges panel to kick off the brand new season. During the premiere episode, Adam took the stage alongside fellow music legends Michael Bublé, John Legend, and Kelsea Ballerini as they all judged the new line-up of artists auditioning for the series.
Tonight marked the 45-year-old singer’s first apperance on the reality singing competition since he exited in May of 2019. During his initial 16-season-long run, Adam was a fan favorite staple of the show and judged alongside chart-topping artists Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green.
But now, Adam is back and better than ever and fans are buzzing with excitement to see him take their screens once again. On X, formerly Twitter, one fan wrote: “THE OG ADAM LEVINE I HAVE ALL OF THE FEELINGS GUYS.” Another viewer added: “Happy that @adamlevine is back on @NBCTheVoice always Team Adam! Wish I could have #TeamAdam sweater. #TheVoice.”
A third fan penned: “Adam Levine said it was time for him to come back to #TheVoice!! Welcome back, Adam!! #VoicePremiere.” And someone else chimed in: “Daddy is back and taking charge.” While another supporter complimented: “Adam is still sexy AF. #thevoice.”
Ahead of his apperance on the episode, Adam opened up about his decision to return and how his much-needed break got him as energized as ever. In an interview with People, the She Will Be Loved hitmaker said: “I honestly feel like the stars aligned. It was one of those moments where we started talking about it and it felt right… and it hadn’t felt right until now.”
He continued: “I don’t really see it as a competition anymore, and I know they’re not going to like that, but that’s not what it is. It’s an opportunity for us to share our experiences with the people on the show. And it always has been that. I mean, you definitely get competitive that those juices flow for sure. But I don’t see it as a competition and I don’t think that I can bring anything other than what I have just from life and a career. And I think that’s really valuable for the people on the show that are needing that experience, or that push that help. And that’s what I think we’re there for.”
