In a new interview, the host of The Price Is Right since 2007 gave an update on his contract with CBS.
While speaking with TV Insider, Drew discussed the major hosting milestone, shocking show moments, and whether he would ever retire.
“I just show up and punch the clock and hope I have a job every day,” he said.
“I do have a goal: I want to keep going until I die. This is my 18th season. I’ve got to get the 35 and 41 so I can catch Bob Barker and Pat Sajak.”
Bob Barker was the host of The Price Is Right from September 4, 1972, until June 15, 2007.
‘A GREAT PART OF MY DAY’
“The longest I’d been on TV was The Drew Carey Show, nine years. Once I hit 10 years here, I was like, ‘Wow, that’s the longest I’ve ever had a job in my life,” Drew continued.
“It’s such just a great part of my day, my year, my life. I can’t imagine giving it up.’
“I don’t like CBS to know that, but it’s going to be a few years ’til my next contract negotiation. So maybe forget I said this.
“I can quit anytime I want!”
In a Reddit forum dedicated to The Price Is Right, fans discussed Drew’s vow to host as long as he could.

“He brings so much light and love to the show!!” a second shared.
“He’s the perfect host. You can tell he really enjoys the games and meeting people,” someone else said.
“I remember thinking in 2007 that I’d never watch it without Bob. I’ve grown to love Drew as he’s grown into the role. Happy to see him keep going!” a fourth pointed out.
