‘Jeopardy!’ Ken Jennings Shocking Opinion Of Ryan Seacrest

Ken Jennings was set as the Jeopardy! host when Wheel of Fortune hired Ryan Seacrest. This move created rumors that Jeopardy! might consider watching Wheel’s ratings to see if a celebrity host might be better than a former contestant like Jennings.
This made some fans wonder if Ken found Ryan to be a threat. While some wondered what Ken thought of Ryan, the Jeopardy! host has finally admitted to his opinion of the Wheel of Fortune host.
Ken Jennings Reveals Thoughts On Ryan Seacrest
Ken Jennings and Ryan Seacrest host two of the most popular game shows on television. However, they come from different worlds. Jennings is a former Jeopardy! champion and brings that knowledge to his role. Seacrest is a celebrity who got the Wheel job thanks to his popularity.
Jeopardy: Ken Jennings
While some fans assumed that Ryan’s success could mark the end for Jennings on Jeopardy!, that might not be true. It turns out that Ken is very much underpaid compared to other game show hosts, and he doesn’t care about the amount of his pay. This makes him a great budget choice for his game show.
However, Ken felt the pressure, and he finally revealed his thoughts on his rival game show host. A Jeopardy! insider said that recently, Ken had a chance to go to the Wheel stage and watch Ryan and Vanna White working on their game show. Ken is rarely even on set when Wheel tapes, so this was a rare opportunity.
“Ken was sincerely blown away by how seamlessly Ryan has not just stepped into Pat’s shoes but made it his own,” the insider said (via The U.S. Sun). “At one point, he even joked that Ryan is a ‘much better’ host than himself. He was very complimentary of Ryan. You can tell there is a lot of respect there and it was fun to see them work their magic next door.”
Ken Jennings Solidifying His Place As Jeopardy! Host
While some people guessed that Jeopardy! was looking at getting rid of Ken Jennings, that is apparently not the truth. When Pop Culture Jeopardy! brought in Colin Jost, the idea was to see if fans preferred a celeb host. It turns out that Ken is better in his role than Colin.

According to one host, Sony knows “they can pay [Ken] a fraction of what they would have to pay a well-known celebrity, comedian, or even a professional game show host.” The rumor is that Ken makes $4 million a year, whereas Ryan Seacrest makes up to $28 million on Wheel of Fortune.
