‘American Idol’ Star John Foster Leaves Fans Stunned After INCREDIBLE IG Announcement.
‘American Idol’ Star John Foster Leaves Fans Emotional After Posting “Dream” Instagram
The country singer is taking over Nashville as he makes his Grand Ole Opry debut on June 7!

John Foster probably never would’ve thought his appearance on American Idol would lead to this incredible career move.
The Louisiana native was runner-up to Jamal Roberts on American Idol season 23, and he’s been staying incredibly busy since then. Amid releasing his first-ever music video and reuniting with his fellow contestants, John also made a moving announcement about his next musical performance.
As John revealed on Instagram on May 24, he’s taking the stage for the first time at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on June 7. Given how iconic the venue is to those working in the country music scene, he penned a heartfelt note about what it means to him.
“The first time I went to the Opry, I fought back tears because I was so overwhelmed with joy,” he shared in an emotional statement. “As an amateur country music historian, there is no more significant place to my passion (country music) than the Grand Ole Opry. This has been my #1 dream ever since I started music, and now, because of your support, my dream will come true! I will NEVER be able to express my gratitude!”

“You deserve it buddy! Couldn’t be more proud 🧡,” one person wrote in the comments. “Wow!! You are such a ⭐️ and you will just keep rising!!” another exclaimed. “You definitely deserve to stand on that stage John !!!! Congratulations ❤️,” a different follower added.
And it turns out he isn’t the only American Idol season 23 contestant who debuted at the Grand Ole Opry this year. Just days earlier on June 5, Top 3 finalist Breanna Nix also performed on the iconic stage — and she had her own thoughts about the life-changing moment.
“Thank you @opry for letting me step onto such an iconic stage, surrounded by so many AMAZING people,” she wrote on Instagram. “Wow. 🔥. This moment is going down in the book of favorite memories—forever. 🫶🏽✨♥️.”
