Kelly Clarkson loves to keep things real.
Her fans saw this play out during the opening night of her Chemistry Las Vegas concert residency when The Voice alum dropped an unexpectedly hilarious comment in front of the entire audience. In between performing some of her famous hits, Kelly noticed a woman holding up a sign that indicated her girlfriend offered her a “hall pass” to date the performer.
“If I was into chicks, I’d take up the offer,” Kelly responded, which you can see in a Twitter video posted on July 29. “I just unfortunately like d–ks.”

“I love Kelly! She tells it straight!” one person wrote on Twitter. “I’m done lol 😆,” another cracked up. “🤣🤣🤣 Love her! ❤️,” a different follower chimed in.
Although Kelly’s remark left people in hysterics, she also struck a serious tone during her 10-show residency. During the same performance, she sang a cover of Harry Styles’ “As It Was,” which she revealed was meant to be on a segment of her daytime program The Kelly Clarkson Show.
“We’re gonna go a little Kellyoke every night,” she explained ahead of time. “We were supposed to sing this actually on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and then all the [SAG-AFTRA and WGA] strikes happened and nobody has a job now. So, we didn’t get to perform it on the show.”
As for the status of her own romantic life, she is focusing on being a single mom to daughter River and son Remington (who she shares with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock). “I’m just enjoying me and I’m enjoying my children and I’m enjoying my work,” she told E! News. “I love what I’m doing right now… If something were to happen, I’d say, ‘Oh I’m interested, I’d do it. But I’m just not looking.”
