‘Live’ Fans, You Won’t Believe Which Co-Host Is Making a Surprise Return to the Show
A beloved star is coming back, and it’ll be an epic reunion for Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

Guess what Live With Kelly and Mark fans? It looks like the show is about to welcome a former co-host into their new house!
Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos are the current hosts of Live, but viewers may remember a time when Mark wasn’t sitting alongside his wife every weekday morning. Before his tenure on the ABC series, folks watched Ryan Seacrest as Kelly’s co-host from his first full-time appearance in 2017 until his last episode in 2023. And in a twist folks never saw coming, the two are set to be back on camera together soon.
As it turns out, the American Idol and Wheel of Fortune host shared his plans to appear on Live With Kelly and Mark later this spring in a new interview with E! News. As he shared with the outlet, it won’t just be him and Kelly on the air — Mark will be joining them for the appearance as well.
“I will be there,” he stated about reuniting with Kelly and Mark. “The trifecta, we’ll be on the set. I can’t wait to see them.”

Even though Ryan hasn’t revealed when he’ll be going on Live (or for what), it’s likely due to the American Idol season 23 finale airing on ABC in late May. And for those wondering what Ryan and Kelly’s current friendship looks like, he shared the two are still as close as they were when working together.
“I love that show,” he added. “I had a blast doing it. Kelly and are still the closest friends — Mark too.”
As fans remember, Ryan announced his exit from Live back in February 2023. After leaving the show two months later, he continued his work hosting American Idol while dabbling in new projects. He eventually succeeded Pat Sajak as the host of Wheel of Fortune, making his long-awaited game show debut in September 2024.
Even though Ryan isn’t a staple on Live anymore, we adore knowing just how much he still loves the show!
