NBC has made a decision about Happy’s Place’s future

There’s some great news for Happy’s Place fans. NBC has decided the future of the series, and it comes with renewal news!
If you wait until a confirmed renewal before you invest in a show, I get it. So many shows are canceled abruptly, and it’s hard to give a series a chance. The problem is if you don’t watch it from the beginning, you’re part of the reason why a show is canceled! A lot of people do this, and it leads to shows getting unfairly canceled.
The good news for Happy’s Place fans is people showed up! NBC has given this show a second season.
Happy’s Place season 2 is officially happening
Deadline confirmed the renewal with some updates on the viewership. Like fellow freshman comedy series St. Denis Medical, people have quickly shown up in support of this comedy series. Happy’s Place has improved the 8 p.m. ET/PT timeslot on Fridays by 54% according to the publication!
In fact, the bar-set comedy series is the No. 2 comedy series on Peacock. The only show ahead of it is St. Denis Medical, which has already been renewed for a second season. A total of 17.6 million people have watched the pilot episode across all platforms, which puts it up 338% since its initial airing on Friday, Oct. 18.
Let’s face it; Friday night is not the death night as long as the right show is on the air. Bones, Supernatural, Blue Bloods, and now Happy’s Place have proved that!
When will Happy’s Place season 2 premiere?
So, now eyes are on when we’ll get to see the series return. There are still episodes of season 1 airing, and this show was picked up for a full-season order after its initial successful run.
We’re sure to see Happy’s Place season 2 premiere in the fall, and I would love to see it remain on Friday nights. Starting the night off with comedy is a breath of fresh air! We’ll know more in May.
Happy’s Place airs Fridays at 8/7c on NBC. Catch up on Peacock.
