2 Former Coaches Among ‘The Voice’ Battle Round Advisors for Season 28
The star power on season 28 of “The Voice” just got even brighter. As the Blind Auditions were wrapping up on October 7, 2025 — with the artist lineups finalized for Team Reba, Team Niall, Team Snoop and Team Bublé — NBC announced that four megawatt stars, including two past coaches, will join the show as advisors in the Battle Rounds.
Check out which stars will be part of the next phase of the competition, starting on October 13.

Pop superstar Lizzo will serve as an advisor to Snoop Dogg’s team of 12 artists! Among the singers she’ll help mentor is Toni Lorene, who wowed the coaches with her Blind Audition, singing Lizzo’s “Cuz I Love You.”
To get a taste of what Lizzo and Snoop will be like together (so fun!), watch their appearance together in May on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen.
Team Reba Welcomes Nick Jonas Back to ‘The Voice’

Look who’s back! Nick Jonas is no stranger to “The Voice,” having been a coach on seasons 18 and 20. He was also an advisor on season 15 for Christina Aguilera’s team. In 2025, he’ll advise Reba McEntire’s team.
Jonas and McEntire go waaaay back. He made his Broadway debut in 2001’s “Annie Get Your Gun” when he was still a kid and McEntire was the star of the show. He just concluded his latest Broadway role in The Last Five Years,” which ended in June, and spent the rest of the summer on the road with the Jonas Brothers.
Team Bublé Welcomes Kelsea Ballerini Back to ‘The Voice’

Country sensation Kelsea Ballerini made her debut as a coach on “The Voice” in season 27, and now she’s back in season 28 advising Bublé’s team of 12. Bublé was also a coach on season 27 (which he won with Adam David) and formed a bond with Ballerini and her then-boyfriend Chase Stokes.
Ballerini’s been part of “The Voice” family for a while, though, previously appearing in seasons 15, 16, and 20, and filling in for coach Kelly Clarkson on season 21 (in 2021) when Clarkson was sick.
Team Horan Welcomes Lewis Capaldi to ‘The Voice’

This pairing will be so fun to watch! Niall Horan will get to work with Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi during the Battle Rounds — and they happen to be super close friends. To get a feel for their vibe together, check out their road trip documentary from 2022.
The Battle Rounds kick off on October 13, with two members of each team singing a duet — as their coaches decide who gets to move on to the next round. Usually, coaches choose which artists on their teams will compete against each other, but in season 28, NBC says that the artists will decide who to pair up with. The coaches will continue to pick the songs they perform, though.
