Piers Morgan slams Voice Coach John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen, call him virtue signaling horror story
Piers Morgan slams John Legend and Chrissy Teigen over Baby It’s Cold Outside rewrite

Piers Morgan is not too impressed that John Legend has rewritten the lyrics for Baby It’s Cold Outside.
The class Dean Martin Christmas song, from 1944, has come under scrutiny from the #MeToo movement in recent years for several lyrics which suggested the man was pressuring the woman to stay.
John Legend and Kelly Clarkson have now revamped the song with lyrics such as ‘say what’s in this drink?’ replaced by Clarkson singing ‘What will my friends think if I have one more drink?’

John Legend then replies by singing ‘it’s your body and your choice’.
The new song was up for discussion on Good Morning Britain and Piers Morgan wasn’t holding back about John Legend’s rewrite of the song.
Susanna Reid introduced the conversation saying: ‘John Legend has rerecorded the controversial lyrics because they think it’s not appropriate’.

And then Piers let rip at John and, bizarrely, Chrissy Teigen.
‘What is wrong with these people,’ Piers asked. ‘John Legend, you virtue signaling horror story and that dreadful wife of his.

‘They’ve sat there plotting how to ruin a great Dean Martin classic just in time for Christmas’.
Susana then asked Piers why he thought Chrissy had anything to do with the rewrite.
‘You don’t think she wrote these lyrics?’ he questioned.

‘She’s awful. Absolutely awful.
‘She’s Ms. Wokeville on Twitter. She’s got a hold of poor old Legend, who used to be great.
‘Why? Who wanted this rewritten? What a load of nonsense’.

Piers isn’t the only one unimpressed by John Legend’s rewrite.
Dean Martin’s granddaughter, Deana Martin, says the rewrite is ‘absurd’ and that he has made the lyrics ‘more sexual’.
