Price is Right fans were left fuming as the show was once again pre-empted for breaking news.

Some Price is Right fans were quick to vent about their frustrations after an episode of the game show was interrupted by breaking news.
The latest interruption came during the Monday, May 12 episode of the CBS show, which has been pre-empted for several different breaking news events in recent weeks, and has seen some fans miss out on blunders by host Drew Carey, where he made awkward mistakes, including telling a winning contestant he actually lost.
And while big news events like the election of the New Pope may have made sense to some viewers, the most recent interruption appeared to be the final straw for some.
As the game show aired its newest episode, and saw a contestant who had struggled to get off contestants row finally take the stage, the show was interrupted for a breaking news segment.
The news revealed that the last-known US hostage in Gaza, Edan Alexander, had officially been released by Hamas back to Israel.

While those have followed the conflict likely celebrated the news and found it to be wonderful, others were less than impressed by the interruption.
After it occurred, they took to X to share their complaints.
“@CBSNews why you interrupted my show again no other news had breaking news gonna see this later put my price is right on,” one wrote.
“@CBSNews PUT IT BACK ON PRICE IS RIGHT, I DONT GIVE A S–T ABOUT THE MIDDLE EAST,” another said.

The interruption lasted approximately five minutes before the game show returned.
However, while brief, the interruption did unfortunately keep viewers from seeing the entire game that was played.
The contestant, Rochelle, had finally won the bid in contestants’ row, but viewers didn’t see what game she played–or if she won or not.
The Price is Right airs weekdays on CBS.
