Reba McEntire and Belissa Escobedo in Return in New ‘Happy’s Place’ Season 2 Image [Exclusive]
Reba McEntire and Belissa Escobedo in Return in New ‘Happy’s Place’ Season 2 Image [Exclusive]
Unlike Reba McEntire’s Bobbie in her latest hit series, Happy’s Place, we can’t pour you a stiff drink to help you relax after a long day of work. However, we can show you a never-before-seen image from the NBC comedy’s upcoming second season.
As part of Collider’s Exclusive Previewevent, we’re thrilled to invite our readers to take a first look at a Season 2 still that features both Bobbie and her younger half-sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), during a moment away from the titular bar. Today’s picture is just a sip of what’s to come when the title bellies up to screens for round two on Friday, November 7.
In our exclusive image, Bobbie (McEntire) and Isabella (Escobedo) are standing in a finely cleaned and well-kept kitchen having a chat by the sink. The former is zeroed in on what her sister is saying, which appears to be something light-hearted, as Isabella talks with a smile on her face. But, Bobbie’s death-grip on a bottle of wine leads us to believe that the smile might be a way of sugar-coating a much more serious matter.
Our exclusive shot puts the focus on the characters portrayed by McEntire and Escobedo, but the sophomore installment of Happy’s Place will undoubtedly welcome back many of the same characters to the story. We can expect another Reba reunion to go down with the return of Melissa Peterman as Gabby, the outgoing bartender at the titular pub, with Pablo Castelblanco likely returning as Steve, the business’ OCD accountant, and Tokala Black Elk as Takoda, the pub’s waiter.
Additionally, Season 1 did plenty to build up the blossoming relationship between Rex Linn’s Emmett and McEntire’s Bobbie, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the real-life spouses to make it official for their on-screen characters as well.
‘Happy’s Place’ Big Season 2 Comeback
Happy’s Place was an immediate hit for NBC when it premiered last October, with audiences everywhere thrilled to see McEntire back in the driver’s seat of a network sitcom. The title eventually received the go-ahead for a full season order, pushing the debut season to a whopping 18 episodes total.
When it makes its way back onto screens on Friday, November 7, the second season of Happy’s Place will be doing so with a two-episode premiere, which promises to start things off with a bang as we catch up with Bobbie, Isabella, and the rest of the crew.
Check out the brand-new image from Happy’s Place Season 2 above and stay tuned to Collider for more from our Exclusive Preview event.
