The Voice season 28 coach is worried no one is going to want to be on their team

The Voice season 28 will see some familiar faces in the red chairs. Some of them haven’t been seen for a few rounds, and one in particular is worried about what that time off means for him. We’re not that worried, though, considering who he is.
It’s all about Niall Horan, who took some time off to go on tour. It’s an understandable reason to take a year out of The Voice. After all, he’s still young and he’s an active musician. That’s what makes his appearances on The Voice so great. Yet, he’s worried that he’ll get picked last.

Niall Horan is worried nobody will pick him in The Voice
Horan took to The Voice’s official Instagram with fellow coach Michael Bublé. As Bublé made it clear that there was a coach coming back after taking a few seasons off, Horan fixed his hair in the mirror and then admitted his fears. He’s worried that taking a few cycles off will have caused him to lose his momentum, and he’s now worried that people won’t want to be on his team.

It’s an understandable reason, as there are plenty of contestants who come to the show to work with particular coaches. A lot of the time, it’s due to the style of voice, and the coaches want those contestants as well because they see a younger version of themselves in them.
Then there are others who want to work with particular coaches because they’re fans. And Horan certainly has plenty of people in that corner.
Niall Horan has been through it all before
The One Direction singer has something else to benefit from as well. He has the experience of going through these types of competitions. He auditioned on X Factor in the UK, originally as a solo artist. He joined with his bandmates when Simon Cowell realized that they had a better chance of winning together. Of course, Cowell was right, and One Direction went on to gain a huge following.

Coming with that experience helps many others on The Voice. He, like Kelly Clarkson, can offer tips on handling the competition with empathy.
It’s not like Horan doesn’t come from experience in The Voice, either. In fact, he has only been on two seasons before, and he won on both of those seasons. That’s sure to end up meaning plenty of people want him to be their coach. He should be worried about whether he can make it three for three!
The Voice season 28 premieres on Monday, Sept. 22 at 8/7c on NBC.
