Reba McEntire Reveals Her Sitcom’s Fate
After a wildly successful first season, NBC announced that “Happy’s Place” was sticking around for another year. Now, country music icon Reba McEntire and her fellow castmates have shared some exciting updates about the sitcom’s fate. In an Instagram reel NBC posted, the country queen takes fans behind the scenes as Season 2 filming gets underway.
“‘Happy’s Place’ Season 2, we’re in production now!” McEntire says in the video, which includes clips of the cast on set. Fans are loving this update, flooding the comments with excitement about what’s next for the lovable characters. “LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. Anytime we can get Reba and Melissa [Peterman] together again, I am overjoyed,” one fan wrote.

McEntire and the rest of the cast look as thrilled about Season 2 as their fans. “I love being here,” Tokala Black Elk said in the video. “I feel like I’ve been waiting and waiting to find my family inside of the industry, and I finally did.” Even McEntire’s boyfriend, Rex Linn, got in on the action, excitedly telling fans that the show is coming back.

McEntire has repeatedly shared that she and her castmates love working together, and she did so again in this new update. “We’re just so glad to get back to work with each other,” the singer said. “Because it’s not work, it’s play.” The show originally began as a potential reboot of “Reba,” but has clearly taken on a heartwarming life of its own.
One Fan Suggested an Amazing Idea For Guest Stars

Sitcoms are well-known for occasionally having fun guest stars on set, and “Happy’s Place” is no exception. However, one fan in the comments section shared an idea that both sitcom and country music fans could love. “I so think there should be an episode where [Lainey Wilson] and [Miranda Lambert] come into town and end up at “Happy’s Place!” the fan wrote. “That would be a barn burner!”
The trio have sparked new collective fame thanks to their single, “Trailblazer,” which lit up the ACM Awards stage this year. While the two country icons making an appearance on “Happy’s Place” is just a dream for now, both singers do have experience in front of the camera. Wilson already has some acting chops from her time in “Yellowstone” and her upcoming role in the film “Reminders of Him.” For her part, Lambert appeared in a 2012 episode of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”
