The news comes as Jeopardy! season 42 premieres on Monday, September 8, 2025.
Just as a new season of Jeopardy! begins, the show is celebrating an incredible TV feat.
The hit quiz show is getting ready to premiere season 42 on Monday, September 8, 2025, and viewers can’t wait to see contestants test out their knowledge of all things trivia. But ahead of new episodes airing on primetime TV, folks may have missed an incredible moment Jeopardy! achieved at the 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on September 7.
As the show had been up for two awards during the star-studded ceremony (including Outstanding Game Show Host for emcee Ken Jennings), Jeopardy! managed to snag a win for Outstanding Game Show. And if that’s not enough, the show’s social team shared how this major awards show achievement stacked up among other prizes the show received throughout its time on television.
“46 Emmys and counting, baby 🤩🏆,” the caption read alongside an image of Ken on Instagram.

As soon as viewers realized Jeopardy!‘s thrilling Emmy Awards milestone, they had to celebrate it on social media.
“Well deserved, my favorite show EVER,” one person wrote in the comments. “Alex will be looking down from heaven, beaming with pride. Congratulations to everyone at Jeopardy! for yet another thoroughly deserved win!” another agreed. “Congratulations one of our favorite shows to watch weekly!! 😎👊🔥,” a different follower added.
Now, fans may remember this isn’t the only time Jeopardy! has won for Outstanding Game Show over the last few years.
According to a report from the Television Academy, Jeopardy! has won in this category respectively in both 2023 and 2024. And if that’s not enough to cause a frenzy among longtime viewers, the show’s 2025 win saw them beating other popular shows like Wheel of Fortune, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Family Feud, and The Price Is Right.
