A contestant on The Price Is Right nearly had a wardrobe malfunction as she bounded onstage
Christianne of Fayetteville, Arkansas clamped her hans across her chest to keep her strapless dress in place as she jumped up and down
Despite her near wardrobe mishap, the participant still won the grand prize for the “Do the Math” game
A The Price Is Right contestant narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction as she ran onstage to greet Drew Carey.
On the Monday, April 7 episode of the long-running game show, Christianne, a fashion model from Fayetteville, Arkansas, was invited up to the stage after placing the winning bid on a fire pit.
After Carey called her name, she excitedly ran up onstage, but as she jumped up and down, Christianne had to hold onto the top of her red-and-white checkered strapless dress to keep it from falling down. In the process, she had to cover her name tag, which was attached to the oversized leather jacket she wore over the dress, prompting Carey, 66, to say, “I can’t see your name. What’s your name?”
The contestant also wore a baseball cap and cowboy boots to complete her game show-ready look.
Christianne went on to play the game “Do the Math,” and after winning, again jumped up and down in celebration while keeping a tight grip on the top of her dress.
When it came time to spin the wheel, Christianne didn’t struggle with her dress quite as much, but she did mention a few interesting people in her shoutouts. When Carey asked who she wanted to say hi to, she responded, “My mom and dad and Tracy and Zoey Rodriguez because they got me here and also Toby Keith and Tana Mongeau!”
The contestant didn’t explain why she shouted out the country singer who died in 2024 or the influencer.
Earlier this year, The Price Is Right celebrated reaching 10,000 episodes. In a PEOPLE exclusive sneak peak of the festivities, Carey revealed that the show will be giving away $90,000 in cash and rewards in honor of the special occasion.
“It’s the 10,000 episode. So the games are going to be supercharged,” announcer George Gray teased before Carey explained his personal connection to the show. “It started in 1972, I watched it in college and The Price Is Right just stood out because there’s people going bananas.”
The duo revealed that over the course of 10,000 episodes, 75,000 people have been “called on down” to participate and the game show has given away “over $300 million in cash and prizes.”
The 10,000th episode aired on Feb. 26 on CBS.

Drew Carey hosts ‘The Price Is Right.’
In March 2024, Carey spoke to PEOPLE about his role on the iconic game show. The actor took over the hosting gig in 2007 when Bob Barker, who helmed the series for over three decades, retired. Carey told PEOPLE that he initially turned down the offer to lead The Price Is Right.
“I said, f— no,” the comedian told PEOPLE. “I just wanted to be able to do things that were fun and interesting instead of having a ‘job-job’ or something I had to do every day, because I just had, after being on The Drew Carey Show and everything, I was done with the idea of just being on a show forever.”
However, he later changed his mind.
“One of the show’s producers asked me what my favorite thing to do was,” Carey told PEOPLE in March 2024. “I go, ‘I love leaving big tips when I go to restaurants.’ ‘Well, if you work on The Price Is Right, you’ll be able to do that all the time for a living,’ they said.”
The Price Is Right airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on CBS.
