For those fans used to seeing Carey run the ship on his other game show, this time on the reboot was certainly different for him.
Even though it’s technically extra work for Drew Carey to show up on Hollywood Squares, he does not have as much pressure on him here, as he is not the host of the rebooted game show. In many ways, Carey can just relax and have fun. So, there’s certainly some appeal to adding to his schedule for these appearances.

Carey Makes NSFW Joke On Hollywood Squares
Another aspect that comes with Drew Carey participating in and not hosting Hollywood Squares is that he does not have to keep it quite as PG as he would while hosting The Price Is Right. Based on recent scenes, it did not take Carey very long to take full advantage of this, either.
This time around, Drew Carey was up to bat to answer the question: “According to the classic slogan, what tastes so good that cats ask for it by name?”
The typically PG Carey took a raunchy turn when he responded with: “This cat says, ‘Your mama’s p***y.”
Shock and awe were present on the faces of everyone on the game show. Because of how PG Drew has to keep things on The Price Is Right, it’s easy to forget that a show like Hollywood Squares gives him the chance to be considerably less so, and he clearly took full advantage of it.

Shortly after giving this unexpected answer on the Hollywood Squares set, Drew Carey leaned in, adding: “Hi everybody, I host The Price Is Right.”
After having his bit of fun on the Hollywood Squares set, Drew eventually gave the correct answer to the question, which was Meow Mix, but, not before generating a memorable moment on the show that people are still talking about.
