The Price is Right contestant rolls on the floor after winning car
The Price is Right is gearing up for its 10,000th episode special on February 26, and it promises some of the biggest prizes.
In a sneak peek at the CBS game show’s huge milestone episode, which will be hosted by Drew Carey, it appears to have a “life-changing” cash prize in store for one lucky contestant.
“Come on down to the 10,000th episode of The Price Is Right!” announcer George Gray excitedly says before showing off a massive multi-tiered cake that pays homage to the show’s the show’s many games.
The clip, which was sent to People, then moves into a montage of fans squirming in their seats with excitement before Carey reveals that the show is giving away $90,000 in cash and rewards in honor of the momentous occasion.
“It’s the 10,000 episode. So the games are going to be supercharged,” Gray teases before Carey delves into his personal connection to the show.

“It started in 1972, I watched it in college and The Price Is Right just stood out because there’s people going bananas,” he said.
“It’s a really good cross-section of America,” Carey added as one contestant performed a cartwheel after winning big.
Over the course of its 10,000 episodes, the pair says that 75,000 people have been “called on down” to participate and the game show has given away “over $300 million in cash and prizes.”
Gray added: “I remember watching Price Is Right as a kid, and part of the magic is that everybody cheers for everybody.
“I grew up watching the show with my grandma, and I cried after just getting to audition,” model Amber Lancaster said, “I’m gonna get emotional!”
“It’s been one of the best experiences in my professional life,” Carey admitted, “No matter how my day is, as soon as I get to The Price Is Right and walk through the door, it all goes away. It’s just vibing all day!”
Carey will host the celebration alongside models Rachel Reynolds, Amber Lancaster, Manuela Arbeláez, Alexis Gaube, James O’Halloran, and Devin Goda.

The contestant that plays Grande Game will have a chance at winning $100,000.
The piggy bank for Any Number will also be 10,000 times more than usual and Lucky Seven will be temporarily called Lucky Ten, where ten $1 bills will be given to a contestant, which increases their chance at winning.
Price Is Right’s celebration will continue off-screen with a $10,000 donation to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, in an effort to commemorate Carey’s positive sign-off staple.
At the end of each episode, the host looks at the camera and advises: “Take care of yourself, especially your mental health. it’s so important, and I love you!”
Carey has previously opened up about why he closes the show this way during an interview with TV Insider, admitting: “It’s important to me. I went through a rough couple of years, and I needed to put my mental health first. It was such a help for me to do that and not succumb to sadness or grief.”
The host also closes the show telling the viewers “to spay and neuter your pets,” which he got from Bob Barker, who hosted the show for 35 years before stepping down and handing the role to Carey in 2007.
Carey has also said in the past that he wants to host the game show until he drops dead.
“I think Bob made a mistake by retiring,” Carey told Entertainment Tonight at CBS’ fall schedule celebration.
“I’m not gonna make that same mistake. As long as my heart is ticking and they want me to be on the show, I think I’m gonna do The Price Is Right. I just love it. I’m not going anywhere,” he continued, adding that he was “made for” the job.
The 10,000th episode of The Price Is Right will air Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. ET on CBS.
