The Voice has kicked into high gear for Season 28. The Battles are almost done, and the Knockouts are on the horizon — with a brand-new twist, the “Mic Drop.” Unfortunately, fans of the hit NBC singing series won’t get to see Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, Snoop Dogg or any of their artists in the show’s usual Tuesday night slot.
Here’s the reason why The Voice isn’t on tonight.

Is The Voice on tonight?
No! The Voice will be taking the rare Tuesday night off, meaning it aired only one episode this week.
Why isn’t The Voice on tonight?
The Voice is being bumped by a very different arena: The basketball court! Tonight, NBC will kick off their big deal with the NBA by airing both opening night games. The Houston Rockets at Oklahoma City Thunder will air from 7:30-10 p.m. ET, followed by the Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers from 10 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. ET.
This will also give a late start to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which will air at 1:05 a.m.
Additionally, next Tuesday, Oct. 28, The Voice will be pre-empted once again by NBA Basketball with Regional Coverage of the New York Knicks at Milwaukee Bucks from 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. ET.

When will The Voice be on next?
The Voice will return next Monday, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. The coaches will begin pairing up their teams for the Knockout Rounds with help from this season’s Mega Mentors, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and multi-Grammy Award-winning Joe Walsh and Grammy Award-winning multi-hyphenate Zac Brown. Episodes stream next day on Peacock.
