‘The Voice’ Fans Are Thrilled to See “Queen” Reba McEntire Back for Season 28 – And she Dropped the Best New Season Update.
The country star is back as a coach on the NBC series.

Reba McEntire is returning as a coach on The Voice season 28.
She posted an Instagram back on The Voice set for the Blind Auditions.
This is her first time back as a coach since she left The Voice after season 26 in December 2024.
Reba McEntire is back where she belongs — and she’s making sure fans know exactly where that is.
Fans of The Voice learned back in May that the singer would be returning to the show as a coach for season 28. Given her one-season hiatus back in December 2024, Reba took some time off in order to film her hit TV sitcom Happy’s Place. Now, she’s cluing viewers into where she’s at with The Voice, thanks to a new post on Instagram on July 10.

Uploading a photo of herself wearing a light blue fringed jacket, a black shirt, a large belt buckle and necklace, Reba revealed she’s back on The Voice set filming the Blind Auditions for the upcoming season.
“Back in my other Happy Place,” she wrote in the caption. “I’ve got my game face on and I’m ready to WIN 🏆 Just wait til y’all hear the incredible voices of Season 28!”
While Reba was elated to be back on The Voice set, fans were equally thrilled about the prospect about seeing her on the show again.
“Welcome back to the voice Reba,” one person penned in the comments. “Queen Reba back at it again. Love you ❤️❤️👑,” another declared. “Let’s go Team Reba!! Be telling those contestants how much they need to be with you. Brag on yourself!! 🙌❤️,” a different follower added.
Now, fans know Reba isn’t the only major star appearing on The Voice this year. Current winner Michael Bublé will be back as a coach for the third season in a row, while Snoop Dogg and Niall Horan will also return after their own times away from the show.
And if that’s not enough, it’s important to know Reba, Michael and Niall have all won The Voice over the last five seasons alone. Niall won seasons 23 and 24 with Gina Miles and Huntley, Reba won season 25 with Asher HaVon and Michael won seasons 26 and 27 with Sofronio Vasquez and Adam David.
Needless to say, we’re pumped to see Reba sitting on the iconic red chair where she belongs!
