Everybody Loves Raymond stars Ray Romano and Patricia Heaton, as well as creator Phil Rosenthanl, Maggie Wheeler who played Lisa (but may be better known for her role as Janice on Friends), and many others came together on June 16 at the Paley Museum to participate in a live discussion event, “30 Years of Everybody Loves Raymond: An Evening with the Legends of the Classic Sitcom.”
The event celebrated the opening of the Paley Museum’s new exhibit, “30 Years of Everybody Loves Raymond: A Behind-the-Scenes Tribute,” which includes rare behind-the-scenes footage, costumes, and even a photo opp that allows visitors to hang out on the Barone family couch.
The series, which debuted on September 13, 1996, ran for nine seasons and over 200 episodes, picking up 15 Emmys in the process — including multiple Outstanding Comedy wins, a Best Actor win for Romano, and multiple Best Actress wins for Heaton, multiple Best Supporting Actors for Brad Garrett, and multiple Best Supporting Actress awards for Doris Roberts.
