TODAY show fans are confused after Hoda Kotb returned to screens just weeks after quitting as a host.

Hoda wrote a letter to staff in September 2024 sharing her decision to leave the show, with the host departing in January once and for all.

But it wasn’t really once and for all, because just weeks after quitting, Hoda has returned to Today.

Returning to the show to announce some exciting career news, Hoda appeared on Today in a video link as she revealed the book she has been working on.

After working on a motivational book, which is titled Jump and Find Joy, the tome will come out this September.

In the video clip announcing her book, Hoda shared how she was “terrified” to “jump” and quit Today, before talking about how everyone is terrified to take a leap sometimes.

She then revealed: “I was thinking of a book,” before saying how the idea to incorporate “jump” into the title yubi hit her.

The clip, which was uploaded to Instagram, was initially broadcast on Today this morning.

And fans were taken aback by Hoda’s appearance, with many also overjoyed by her book news.

One confused fan commented on the video which was shared on Instagram, saying: “Just when you think she’s out…”

Another person then penned: “@hodakotb Can’t wait to jump into this book! Please have a signing in Philly.”

Teasing something exciting last month, Hoda said “we have something fun cooking” as she teamed up with Joanna Gaines.

Joanna is an interior decorator, television personality, and author, who co-hosted the home renovation show Fixer Upper.

The hit show began airing on HGTV in 2013, with Joanna known for hosting it alongside her husband Chip Gaines.

Taking to Instagram to share a slew of snaps and a caption that hints at her new project, Hoda penned: “Remember I was talking about repotting—- gotta take first steps….

“We have something fun cooking! Come along on the great adventure…..Stay tuned. I love @joannagaines.”

In the snaps, Hoda and Joanna were seen filming something with a group of people.

Reacting to the post, fans went wild in the comments.
