TV fans, it’s time to get excited as one of the most-watched comedy shows of the 90s is finally getting added to Netflix in just a few days.
Home Improvement first hit our screens in 1991 and ran for eight seasons on ABC before ending in 1999.
It followed Tim Allen as Tim ‘The Toolman’ Taylor, a dad living in suburban Detroit and hosting his very own home improvement series, Tool Time.
The series showed the presenter balancing fronting his hit series while taking care of his wife, Jill Taylor (Patricia Richardson) and their three sons.
Pamela Anderson, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Zachery Ty Bryan, Taran Noah Smith, Earl Hindman and Richard Karn also made up the cast.

Home Improvement became one of the highest-rated sitcoms of the 1990s and we can now relive all the fun once again as all eight seasons – and 204 episodes in total – will be coming to Netflix in the US on February 1.

The program currently streams on Disney+ and, according to People Magazine, will also remain on the platform.
Tim and co were catapulted to superstardom thanks to the series, with the lead actor taking home a Golden Globe for best performance by an actor in a TV series – musical or comedy – alongside a string of other nods, Emmy nominations and People’s Choice Awards.
Despite the show ending nearly three decades ago, the Buzz Lightyear actor previously teased the idea of a possible revival, sharing that the idea had ‘been floated’ by the cast.

‘And more than I would have expected said, ‘Yeah, that would be cool to do it years later,’ like Roseanne,’ he told Entertainment Tonight in 2018.
However, Patricia – who played the Taylor family matriarch – shut down speculation in a candid chat last year, insisting that the idea would be ‘weird’.
‘I’d hear that he was coming out publicly and saying this stuff about how everyone was on board to do a Home Improvement reunion,’ she said, during an appearance on the Back to the Best podcast.

‘But he never asked me, and he never asked Jonathan, who I talk to. So I called Jonathan one day and I said, “Has he asked you about this?”
‘And he went, “No. Why is he going around telling everyone that we’re all on board when he hasn’t talked to you or me?” I think that’s weird.’
‘It would be very weird,’ she added f a possible reboot. ‘It makes me sad to think about it. I think — we did it. We did it well. We quit at the right time before it got really bad. And it should just stay as it is.’
