‘Price Is Right’ Audience Members Reveal On-Set Secrets From Filming
Come on down!
Two diehard fans of The Price Is Right named Andrew and Amanda took to YouTube to share their behind-the-scenes journey on the beloved game show.
After applying to be audience members on The Price Is Right in December 2024, the married couple got their wish in March!
“Ever since kindergarten, I would have my chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese sandwich and watch The Price is Right,” Andrew gushed in the video. “I wanted to be on the show, or at least the studio audience.”
During the pair’s time on set, they learned a bit about the lay of the land! According to Andrew, host Drew Carey, who stays in his trailer between filming, is all about interacting with fans during commercial breaks. In fact, the social media personality called Carey, 66, “sweet, genuine, and nice.”
Although Amanda and Andrew didn’t get chosen out of the audience, they still had a blast — and spilled some secrets!
For starters, The Price is Right, which takes an hour and a half to film, is shot in the back of a church in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Moreover, outside of the staging area there’s a lobby with refreshments.
Fellow fans of The Price Is Right were happy to engage with Andrew and Amanda’s content while reminiscing about their own love of the show.
“When I see these clips and hear the music, it takes me back to being out sick from school and watching TV,” one user commented on YouTube. “That was awesome. What a fun video,” another added.
The Price Is Right, originally hosted by Bob Barker, premiered in September 1972. Drew Carey took over hosting in 2007. In February of this year, the series hit 10,000 episodes.
The Price Is Right airs on weekdays at 11:00 a.m. ET/10:00 a.m. PT.
