Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly revealed she has been diagnosed with a disorder linked to a Covid-19 vaccine on her podcast. The host of AM Update with Megyn Kelly stated that she is suffering from “an unspecified autoimmune condition.”
In conversation with her guest, Dr Aseem Malhotra, a British cardiologist, Kelly said: “I asked the rheumatologist if it could be linked to the Pfizer vaccine and booster, and she said ‘Yes, and you’re not the only patient I have who’s had this sequence of events,'” Kelly explained that she had misgivings about her vaccination: “I wish I hadn’t done it [gotten vaccinated], but I did.”
Kelly has been vocal about vaccine hesitancy in the past, mocking those on the left who contracted Covid despite vaccination. She was openly against Dr. Anothy Fauci, chief medical advisor to Joe Biden between 2021 and 2022, who advocated for vaccines.
The political commentator has continued to express her support for former President Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK), the newly-appointed US Department of Health lead. RFK recently denied ever being an “anti-vaxxer.”
Kelly’s vaccine remarks followed the release of a Yale University study, which found mRNA Covid vaccines are linked to a condition known as “post-vaccination syndrome” (PVS). Researchers at Yale revealed to the Daily Mail that PVS patients experience immune system changes, reports the Irish Star.

Dr Malhotra was taken aback by Kelly’s diagnosis, although she did not share specific symptoms. Malhotra, however, stated that he also believed he developed an autoimmune condition after receiving a Pfizer dose.
“The fact that one of the United States’ most popular public figures only just opened up about being vaccine-injured, feeling safe to discuss it with a doctor who understands the situation, suggests that many, perhaps millions of Americans are suffering in silence,” Malhorta said.
However, Malhotra, who has also been in the running for a key health advisory role, has a history of spreading misinformation about COVID-19. In 2023, he told the BBC that he advocated for a suspension of the pandemic vaccine rollout due to “uncertainty” surrounding excess deaths.
Following his appearance, another expert urged the news organisation to advise viewers to disregard Malhotra’s comments.
Prof Marc Dweck, chair of clinical cardiology at the University of Edinburgh, stated that Malhotra appears “more concerned with furthering his profile rather than the wellbeing of the public.”
