Wheel of Fortune fans have called on Vanna White “to retire,” following Pat Sajak’s retirement on season 40.

Wheel of Fortune viewers believe it’s time for Vanna White to step down.
The 68-year-old has been swapping letters on the game show since 1982 and is not slowing down.
Following the retirement of longtime host Pat Sajak after Season 40, fans speculated about White’s future – following rumors the current host Ryan Seacrest might leave the show.
She admitted she was “scared” about working with new host Ryan Seacrest but has since formed a strong working bond with him.
Despite their chemistry, some viewers argue that White’s role is outdated due to technological advancements. Still, she remains a key part of the show.

Still, some critics are insisting it is time for her to retire.
Taking to Reddit users voiced their opinions.
One user wrote: “Vanna needs to retire.”
“I thought when Pat retired, she would too,” another added.
Some suggested she should pursue other roles, such as appearing on a panel talk show or guest-starring on other game shows.
One Redditor even proposed that the show eliminate her role altogether.
“I’m not sure what the appeal is of having a grandmother pretend to turn letters and do a fashion runway for clothes most women her age would never wear,” one critic commented.

Another suggested Pat Sajak’s daughter, Maggie Sajak, should replace White.
“It feels like they are half-assing this aspect,” the user stated.
Despite the criticism, White is not ready to retire.
In a 2024 interview with TV Insider, she reflected on her future with the show.
“When I heard that Pat was retiring, I thought maybe I should retire too. But I’m not ready!” she said.
White’s contract runs through 2026.
