Wheel of Fortune star Vanna White has made a surprising admission about her home life – and she didn’t mince words.

White recently appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show with her son, Nikko Santo Pietro, a professional chef who went viral last year for his good looks after he appeared in a video with her on Instagram.

The mother-son duo took to the talk show to make a fire-roasted salsa with Drew as they got to talking about Nikko’s love for cooking, and how he was inspired by his father’s Los Angeles restaurant, Santopietro’s.

Unfortunately, the restaurant, owned by Vanna’s ex-husband George Santo Pietro, closed a number of years ago, but it had a major impact on Nikko’s life.

‘Those garlic knots, the meatballs, the pizza, I mean, the best food, he still makes it,’ Nikko told Drew.

‘It was a hotspot in L.A. at the time for sure,’ he added.

The talk show host then turned to Vanna to ask about her own culinary skills, to which she gave quite the answer.

‘And do you cook in the kitchen?’ Drew asked Vanna.

The talk show host then turned to Vanna to ask about her own culinary skills, to which she gave quite the answer

‘No,’ she responded with a smile. ‘Why should I?’

Thankfully, however, her son is a great cook, as she shared that he makes great chicken and fish.

‘He’s been in the kitchen his whole life,’ Vanna said of her son.

‘His dad was an amazing cook, so he learned from his Dad, and he’s had it for 30 years now,’ she continued.

The two of them seemed quite comfortable on camera together, as they often take to social media to post adorable videos working together in the kitchen, or even answering questions from fans.

After a video of them went viral in December, Nikko responded to his newfound ‘heartthrob’ status by calling it ‘flattering.’

‘Of course, it’s flattering, and she turned to me and said, ‘Is it this what viral means?” Nikko said of his famous mom, as they sat down for an interview together with Entertainment Tonight. 

‘Obviously I’ve had an outpour from her fans, just really being kind and saying all kinds of interesting stuff in the comments.’

But at the end of the day, all of the recent attention doesn’t seem to bother Nikko very much.

In fact, it’s actually something that he embraces.

‘I always loved being in front of the camera, and I work really hard on my social media, and that’s a big part of what I do, so it feels natural and good,’ Nikko explained, as he often is posting videos for his real estate business on his Instagram page.

‘I think a lot of it too, people see me as this heartthrob and they’re thirsty for me and all this stuff, and it’s just really, I love it all, but it’s really good to remember the meaningful things in life and to just kind of dial it back,’ he continued.

‘Doing a lot of charity work, working hard every day, that’s what it is to me, just making an impact.’

In response, gameshow icon Vanna admitted that his commitment to giving back ‘touches [her] heart so much.’
