Inside Price is Right Drew Carey’s hard life and how he got through after fiance passed away
Drew Carey has talked about his past relationship with the late Amie Harwick, who died in 2020.
Their relationship moved quickly, leading to an engagement in 2018 that ended the same year.
“Amie and I had a love that people are lucky to have once in a lifetime,” Carey said in an earlier interview.
Harwick, 38, died in February 2020 after suffering blunt force injuries at her Hollywood Hills home.
Police arrested her former boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse.
Investigators say Pursehouse waited outside Harwick’s apartment and attacked her after she returned home.
Harwick had obtained two restraining orders against him.
Carey expressed.
“I can barely remember the guy’s name — that’s how much I’ve put him out of my life,” Carey said.
“Since the final sentencing, it feels like we’ve all let out a breath and can finally move on.”
Carey, who hosts The Price Is Right, keeps several photos of Harwick in his home.
He also keeps a picture of her in his dressing room, which he looks at daily before filming.
