When will The View return for new episodes? ABC series summer hiatus explained
The View is set to be on a summer hiatus on ABC–here’s when fans can expect to tune in and see new episodes of the show.
Fans of The View will be without new episodes for a short while, as the ABC daytime talk show is officially on its summer hiatus.
The show, which sees the panelists Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin, discusses hot topics in politics and culture, including the ongoing Sean “Diddy” Combs trial, and interview an array of different guests.
On occasion, the show has also left fans curious about the hosts, as they make shocking confessions and face mysterious absences.
Now, fans may have been left confused as they tuned in to watch a new episode on June 30 but were instead greeted with a rerun.
The series aired a repeat episode from May 22 instead of a live broadcast, as it is currently on hiatus for a summer break.
The ABC show will similarly show repeat episodes throughout the current week, as it takes a break from the live show, the weekend version, and the Behind the Table podcast for summer break.
The show is expected to return from its hiatus on Monday, July 7.
That means that the show will air repeat episodes all week long.
Monday’s episode saw the May 22 rerun, which featured Hugh Jackman and Brian Kelly as guests.
The rest of the week will feature other reruns.
Tuesday’s episode will be a rerun of April 10, featuring Olivia Munn, Amanda Peet, Kit Connor and Michael Gandolfini. Wednesday will see a replay of the May 20 episode, with Angela Bassett and Dawn Staley.
Thursday is set to be a replay of the April 3rd episode with Laurence Fishburne and Audra McDonald, while the week will close out on Friday with a rerun of the April 8 episode with Geri Halliwell-Horner and Marsai Martin.
Fans can tune in beginning on Monday for new episodes.
