Ryan Seacrest has admitted working with Vanna White has been ‘out of body’ for him as he discusses their relationship after rumors the pair were feuding.

Ryan Seacrest has been opening up about his working relationship with Vanna White ahead of their Wheel of Fortune co-hosting debut.

Speaking in a special interview to promote the new era of the show Ryan gushed about their collaboration to ABC News’ Ginger Zee on Good Morning America as he said: “I mean, it’s ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ How could you not be happy?”

Vanna meanwhile shared her own excitement adding: “It’s energetic, it’s positive, it’s fun. I’m so excited.”

Ryan then elaborated on how it feels to work with Vanna as he enthused: “I mean, it’s out of body. It’s out of body for me, you know, to have watched Vanna, and watched this show and Pat, and what they’ve built with audiences across this country.

“And what this show means to people in their living rooms every night, and their families, and generations of people who have watched this show, it is a very special thing that just doesn’t exist anywhere else.”

The New York Times confirmed that Ryan is signed to host “through the early 2030s,” which means he’s set to spin the wheel for at least six years.

They wrote: “The chairman of Sony said that one reason he signed Mr. Seacrest through the early 2030s was to help the show transition to the streaming world.”

Wheel of Fortune fans slam Ryan Seacrest for ‘inexcusable’ error during episode

On a recent episode of Wheel of Fortune, Ryan Seacrest upset fans by appearing to make a mistake during the bonus round

Ryan Seacrest is having a hard time filling Pat Sajack’s shoes.

The new host of Wheel of Fortune was recently called out by fans after he seemingly didn’t hear a contestant’s correct answer during the bonus round. Typically the round started with the winning contestant spinning a bonus wheel and whatever envelope they land on is the prize if they guess the bonus puzzle right.

On the episode of the long running game show that premiered Wednesday December 18, Noel Ballacco was able to make it to the bonus round. For her puzzle board the category was “people” and she was given the traditional letters “R, S, T, L, N, and E” to help her out.

As usual she had to choose three consonants and a vowel, picking “G, L, M, and I.” Once her ten second timer started, Noel didn’t waste any time guessing: “Great kids.”

    Wheel of Fortune

Noel appeared to say the correct answer multiple times (Image:Wheel of Fortune)

Vanna White appeared to smile and nod, seemingly nodding that Noel was correct. However, Ryan stayed silent.

Noel continued to think, repeating the phrase once more as Vanna held out her hands like she was waiting for Ryan to say that the contestant was right. Soon enough, Ryan said: “yes, that’s it!” and celebrated with Noel as he revealed she won $50,000.

Fans watching at home noticed this interaction and took to Reddit to share their thoughts. “Did anyone else catch she said the correct answer, but Ryan didn’t call it out as being correct at first?” one person asked.

“She had to say it a second time before it was acknowledged,” they continued, “I even back tracked my TV to make sure I heard it right the first time around.”

Another pointed out Vanna’s nodding but said that when Ryan stayed silent they “started thinking [Noel] messed up.” Meanwhile others thought it was Ryan who messed up.

“If we’re this far into Ryan’s first season and he’s still making inexcusable errors like this, and others, then I don’t see him as taking the job seriously enough to continue,” a third claimed, “I want to like Ryan, the show has gotten better since he started, but stuff like this keeps happening over and over.”

Hollywood sex therapist Harwick is believed to have been thrown over a balcony by an ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, 41, who was charged with murder and residential burglary last Wednesday.

Speaking of his relationship with Harwick, Carey, 61, said on Friday’s show: “Back in September 2018, I was in a beautiful, great, best relationship of my life with a woman named Amie Harwick.

“She was a sex therapist and mental health advocate. She had a PhD and a master’s degree, and she was beautiful and fun, and cared deeply about people and improving their lives and was just a joy to be around.

“I was so in love with her.”

Carey and Harwick, 38, ended their engagement in 2018, but even after they broke up, Carey said, the pair still “loved each other very much.”

During the segment Carey explained how he would send Harwick the set lists for his show, and one week he even made a set that was especially for her.

    EMOTIONAL SET LIST

Carey, who is also the host of The Price Is Right, said: “This one week, I said, ‘Hey I made a set for you.’ And she said, ‘Oh really?’ And I said, ‘Yeah.’

“I played it for her and she teared up.

“We would sing the words in each other’s ears.

“We would hold each other and dance in the kitchen to it and slow dance in the bathroom to it, and the office, living room or where we were.

“I would hold her and we would hold hands in the car and listen to it.

“We would sing to each other.

“All these songs were so important to us and I want to play them for you, so you can hear how much we loved each other through these songs.”

Carey opted to play a sentimental set during Friday’s show, saying that he could “never hear these songs again without thinking of her.”

The host went on to add that he would be taking a couple of weeks off work because he feels in “no position to work or entertain anybody right now.”

Since Harwick’s death, friends have expressed their previous fears over the sex therapist’s ex-boyfriend.

Police confirmed that Hawick, a specialist in family and sex counseling, had filed a restraining order against Pursehouse, but the restraining order had expired.

LAPD also confirmed Harwick had seen the man two weeks before her death.

According to reports, autopsy results showed the primary cause of Harwick’s death was blunt force injuries to the head and torso from a fall after an altercation.

There was also evidence of manual strangulation, the report said.

Harwick was found unresponsive beneath a third-story balcony at her home, Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement, adding her injuries were consistent with a fall.

She was taken to hospital, where she then died.

Pursehouse’s arraignment has been scheduled for March 4.

“The Price Is Right” on the Brink: Drew Carey Reveals the Secret Crisis That Nearly Destroyed the Iconic Show!

Drew Carey opens us about a time the Plinko game almost destroyed The Price is Right. Originally hosted by television personality Bob Barker, The Price is Right has clocked in over 9,000 episodes since its debut on CBS in 1972. Featuring a rambunctious studio audience and prize models as the core elements of the game show, The Price is Right named Carey as the replacement host for Barker in 2007 but kept most of the show’s structure and iconic games intact.

Last year, The Price is Right experienced numerous changes amid coronavirus concerns, including a redesigned set to promote social distancing and filming episodes without a live studio audience. However, all 77 games, including Plinko, remained part of the show’s structure. Hailed as the most popular pricing game on The Price is Right, Plinko was first introduced in 1983. Consisting of round Plinko chips, a board of pegs, and a chance to win $50,000, Plinko is renowned for creating some of the most memorable moments in the game show’s history. Now, Carey opens up about a time Plinko almost caused a scandal for The Price is Right.

The Price Is Right" To Air An All-Plinko Episode

Speaking on the SiriusXM show Jeff & Larry’s Comedy Roundup, Carey reveals how The Price is Right was almost destroyed by Plinko. During his second season as host, Carey experienced a mishap onset due to a manipulated game of Plinko. Remembering the incident, Carey explained that a college student winning $30,000 after three dropped Plinko chips was a behind-the-scenes glitch that almost cost The Price is Right a fortune.

There’s a college girl that got to play Plinko, and she dropped her first three chips right down in the $10,000 spot. People were on their feet, jumping up and down and cheering. I mean, the crowd was going wild. She dropped the fourth chip, the floor director comes over, stops the chip, and leans into me and he goes, ‘The game is fixed.’

Drew Carey hosts iconic game show The Price Is Right

After hearing this information from the floor director, Carey reportedly felt his hosting tenure of The Price is Right would have a short shelf life. “‘I’m going to jail. I’m losing my job. There’s gonna a scandal,’ all these emotions going through my head,” Carey shared. Apparently, before the season, a commercial for The Price is Right video game was filmed using the Plinko board adjusted with a fishing line to feature a winner. Reportedly, the fishing line was never removed before the college student’s turn at Plinko. However, the contestant was awarded $30,000 in Plinko earnings off-camera and The Price is Right‘s reputation remained unadulterated.

As it stands, The Price is Right continues to maintain its status as a wholesome daytime television show. Overall, The Price is Right has been a staple of weekday television and the game of Plinko continues to endure. Of course, after decades on the air, the game show continues to dole out legendary moments in television history. Despite a few setbacks,  The Price is Right has been around long enough to overcome any hurdle and continues to provide entertainment as one of America’s favorite game shows.

The Price is Right fans are not happy with longtime host Drew Carey. A recent episode saw contestant Lauren taking on the Plinko Game, and in a clip shared to the show’s official Instagram, it didn’t end the way she had hoped. She had a chance to win $500,000 with five chips, with the highest amount she could win with each chip was $100,000. While it seemed like a lot of pressure, there have been a lot of success stories from Plinko, and Carey gave her some good advice. Or at least, he thought it was good.

Price is Right host Drew Carey left stunned after contestant wins thousands in 'hardest' and 'most-hated' segment | The US Sun

“One at a time, put them against the wall,” Carey advised. “Drop it, $100,000, right in the middle.” Sure enough, Lauren did drop each one in the middle or towards the middle, but it did not stay in the middle where the big prize was. Each chip ended up going to either the far left or far right side, getting only $500 or $1,000, and she came out with just $4,000 instead of half a million. While some fans were still happy that Lauren, who is actually a queer content creator by the name of poppylaur, still took home some cash, others weren’t very satisfied with the outcome.

“Drew Carey really needs to stop saying RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE when Plinko is playing because he’s annoying AF,” one fan expressed. “WARNING: if someone replies a mean comment about what I’ve said, I’m going to BLOCKED that person.” Another fan suggested that Plinko and the wheel “are rigged.”

“Hey Drew you don’t have to tell your contestants that the big money is ‘right down the middle’ every single time ffs,” another commenter said. One fan advised, “She dropped her chips in the same spot that was silly…If u really want to win BIG from PLINKO u gotta use common sense.” While not everyone is lucky with Plinko, there does seem to be some type of trick to it, and if it’s not working where you’re dropping it, then you should drop it elsewhere. Unfortunately, Lauren did not do that.

Most of the games on The Price is Right are about luck, but a lot of them are also about strategy, including Plinko. This could very well show fans that it’s not always smart to go straight for the middle, and one can hope that Drew Carey also learned his lesson.

How much do ‘The Price is Right’ models get paid? Surprisingly, it’s a lot more than you’d think

The entertainment industry attracts millions across the globe to make the most of their talent and earn big bucks. Although all contestants in TV game shows may not walk home with a grand prize, the host, the production staff and actors who appear in the background also get paid well. Among them are the models on the show “The Price is Right,” who earn a hefty paycheck while showcasing the prizes being offered. The game show gives members of the audience a chance to guess the price of some products and the person with the most accurate estimate takes the prizes home.

According to a Quora user, the models on the game show earn around $100,000 annually. Another user revealed in the comments that the daily rate at which they are paid is $800, and the models reportedly work on the show for six months out of a year. While due diligence hasn’t been done yet to verify the numbers, it is a pretty well-known fact that some of the popular models such as Rachel Reynold have a net worth of $4 million. Apart from appearing on the gameshow, the model has been a part of Hollywood projects including “Cellular” and “Lonely Hearts.”

Another popular model is Manuela Arbeláez who has been a part of the gameshow since 2008. Her main source of wealth is reportedly her career as a model and according to The U.S Sun, the model has a net worth of $1 million. Therefore, even if the figures cannot be corroborated, the net worth of the models does indicate that they are being compensated well, in addition to the popularity that they’ve achieved.

With high ratings translating into ad revenues, game shows can afford to pay high salaries to their employees while shelling out millions in prizes for the contestants. Game Shows such as “Jeopardy” and “The Price is Right” make money mostly thanks to the production network that charges the advertisers for ad space on the shows. Some of these game shows are syndicated, which means that most revenue comes from local affiliates who pay for the rights to air them. An added advantage of being a syndicated show is the access to hundreds of local markets with their respective networks paying for the broadcasting rights.

This whole system works as TV spots are pretty expensive, which was rightly pointed out by Reddit user u/kbergstr who claimed that a national 30-second ad spot costs between $100,000 and 120,000. The “Price is Right” television game show first aired back on September 4, 1972, on CBS, and Bob Barker hosted the show for the longest time from its first episode until his retirement in June 2007, which is when Drew Carey took over. The “Price Is Right” has been aired for more than 9,000 episodes since its debut and is the longest-running game show in the country. The 53rd season premiered this year in September with a daytime as well as a primetime episode.

‘The Price is Right’: Drew Carey Flings Money Into Air After ‘Future Star’ Has Wild Win

Drew Carey had a “future star” on his hands on Friday’s (November 8) episode of The Price is Right and offered some advice to the budding young actor.

On Friday’s show, a contestant named Malcolm made his way to the stage to play for a big cash prize. Before revealing the game, Carey spoke with Malcolm about where he was from and what he was doing in Los Angeles, California.

“Born in Baltimore, but New York raised me,” Malcolm told Carey before revealing he was in LA for “a quick table read.”

“Oh, what’s up, future star?” Carey replied before quipping, “Well, act like you love money because we have a pretty nice prize here.”

Announcer George Gray then revealed Malcolm would be playing for a chance to win $10,000 in the “½ Off” game. In this game, contestants are shown three pairs of small prizes and must guess which is marked with the correct price and which is marked at half its actual price. For each correct guess, half of the 16 boxes on stage are removed, giving the contestant a better chance of picking the box with $10,000 in it.

The half-off items included a fan, a massager, and a vacuum sealer, all of which Malcolm guessed correctly. He received a bonus $1,000 for getting all three items right, and it also left him with just two boxes to pick from to land the $10,000 prize.

“Can you give me a hint?” Malcolm asked.

“I wish I could, but I have no idea,” Carey responded.

Malcolm’s luck continued as he lifted the lid off the box to reveal $10,000 in cash. He was then joined by models Devin Goda and Alexis Gaube as they threw some of the dollar bills into the air in celebration.

“Alright! Malcom was a future star, now he’s a star, period!” wrote one fan on YouTube.

“I’m so happy for him,” said another.

Another added, “Played it perfectly CONGRATS BRO!!!!!”

Will Malcolm become a future star? Only time will tell, but it wouldn’t be the first time a famous face has appeared on The Price is Right before making it big.

Long-time Wheel of Fortune co-host Vanna White was a contestant on June 20, 1980, though she didn’t make it from Contestants’ Row to the main stage. More notably, perhaps, Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul appeared on the show on January 3, 2000, where he played and lost his pricing game and overbid on his Showcase.

A contestant on Wednesday’s (November 13) episode of The Price is Right had an absolute nightmare experience playing Plinko as she landed on FOUR zeroes in a row.

The player in question was Kelly LeBlanc, who made her way up from Contestant’s Row to the main stage. LeBlanc had a chance to play Plinko, the most popular game in the history of The Price is Right. There was a possible jackpot of $50,000 up for grabs.

For those unfamiliar, Plinko involves dropping a flat disc down the Plinko board in hopes of landing in one of the money slots at the bottom. The contestant is given one disc to start and can earn up to four more by guessing the price of four small prizes.

LeBlanc had to guess the correct digit in four different items from their two-digit prices; this included an 8-piece gardening set, a 17 oz water bottle, a fruit and veggie peeler, and a steam iron. She nailed each one, giving her five discs to play with on the Plinko board.

With encouragement from host Drew Carey, LeBlanc made her way to the top of the board and dropped her first disc. The nine slots (in order) include the values of $100, $500, $1,000, $0, and $10,000. That meant if LeBlanc could land each of her five discs in the $10,000 slot, she’d walk away with $50,000.

Unfortunately, her first disc landed in the zero slot. “Just forget that ever happened,” Carey said. “That was close.”

LeBlanc then dropped her second disc and once again landed in the zero slot. “Come on, y’all, give me some good luck,” she called to the studio audience.

After dropping her third disc and landing in the zero slot again, LeBlanc looked absolutely shocked. “What in the heck?” Carey said. “Three zeroes in a row!”

Unbelievably, LeBlanc’s fourth disc also landed in the zero slot. She hung her head in disbelief and said, “What is going on?!”

Thankfully, LeBlanc’s final disc landed in the $1,000 slot, meaning she didn’t walk away empty-handed, even if it wasn’t the $50,000 she could have had with some better luck.

“Thank god! A thousand bucks!” Carey stated before telling LeBlanc, “Don’t leave the house without an umbrella today.”

Fans couldn’t believe LeBlanc’s bad luck and took to social media to share their reactions.

“This was tough to watch. She had all those chips, and hit zero for times in a row. I’m glad she ended up with something. Never seen it and like that,” said another.

Another added, “I have never in my life seen anyone get so many zeros on Plinko.”

Others said LeBlanc didn’t have the best technique, with one viewer on Reddit writing, “If she would have tried putting the chips IN THE MIDDLE, she might have had better luck.”

“Seriously! Like even if you don’t know the math backs that up how is it just not common sense to do that?” replied another.

“That was not the best technique – Drew once said in an interview he thought putting the chip between the N & K were the best odds,” said another fan on Instagram.

While some fans suggested dropping down the middle is the best way to win Plinko, it didn’t help a contestant last month. In fact, Carey told the contestant to drop from the middle and it ended up backfiring big time.
