The Verdict is In: Future of the ‘The Neighborhood’ Revealed!

'The Neighborhood' renewed for final Season 8
From left: Max Greenfield, Tichina Arnold, Cedric The Entertainer and Beth Behrs in ‘The Neighborhood’ Sonja Flemming/CBS

A reliable Monday anchor, the series, starring and executive produced by Cedric the Entertainer, unexpectedly found itself on the bubble this year, not making the list of early CBS renewals last month. It is the first of the shows that were left off to get a renewal following the recent cancellations of FBI: Most Wanted, FBI: International and S.W.A.T. They all come from outside studios while The Neighborhood is produced by CBS sibling CBS Studios.

For The Neighborhood, the uncertainty over its future stemmed from its cost. As a series in its seventh season with a big-name cast, The Neighborhood is expensive. Deals with the actors for Season 8 have been made, paving the way for one final renewal.

The Neighborhood' Ending With Season 8 on CBS in 2025-26

“The brilliant cast and creative team at The Neighborhood led by the incomparable Cedric the Entertainer have brought levity, laughter and poignant storylines to Monday nights for seven incredible seasons,” said Amy Reisenbach, President CBS Entertainment. “A strong ratings performer for CBS and one of the top comedies on TV, we believe the show’s loyal fans deserve a proper farewell season full of the trademark humor and heartfelt moments that are synonymous with the series.”

This season, The Neighborhood is averaging 6.4 million viewers in 35-day multi-platform viewing.

The series’ upcoming Season 7 finale, which already has been shot, serves a backdoor pilot for a proposed spinoff, setting up Marty and Malcolm’s move to Venice. However, it does not provide closure for the other characters, something they will now get with the Season 8 renewal.

It is unclear yet whether the spinoff will be picked up by CBS. The Neighborhood and the offshoot, whose premises are somewhat of a mirror image, have been designed to run alongside each other, so the mothership series could help launch its successor next season.

The Neighborhood already spawned one spinoff, the upcoming Paramount+ comedy series Crutch starring Tracy Morgan.

With The Neighborhood picked up, remaining on the bubble at CBS are freshman multi-cam sitcom Poppa’s House as well as drama veteran Equalizer. (New drama Watson is a midseason entry; it looks good so far to come back.)

The Neighborhood' Renewed By CBS For Eighth & Final Season : r/television

The Neighborhood is living proof that pilots, especially on the comedy side, are useful proofs of concept. The sitcom’s original pilot was scrapped, two of the leads were recast with Max Greenfield and Beth Behrs, and a new pilot was shot by the same director, sitcom veteran James Burrows.

The series, which also stars Tichina Arnold, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, Hank Greenspan and recent cast addition Skye Townsend, went through multiple showrunners throughout its run, with series creator Jim Reynolds exiting after the first three seasons.

In its current incarnation, The Neighborhood, which is available to stream on Paramount+, is executive produced by showrunners Bill Martin and Mike Schiff, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, Cedric the Entertainer and Eric Rhone. CBS Studios is the studio.

[SURPRISE] Season 7’s Jaw-Dropping Twist Just Blew Up the Entire Show!

The Neighborhood Season 7’s Twist Ending Changes The CBS Sitcom’s Entire Premise

Sheaun McKinney's Malcolm Tichina Arnold's Tina and Cedric the Entertainer's Calvin stand in a front room from The Neighborhood season 7 finale

Although The Neighborhood season 8 will be the CBS sitcom’s final outing, that has not stopped the show’s creators from doing something genuinely new and risky with its last episodes. The Neighborhood season 8 will continue the plot of the CBS sitcom’s story directly from where the season 7 finale left off, but this is a long way from where the series started back in 2018. The Neighborhood was originally the story of Max Greenfield’s cheery Midwestern veteran Dave, who moved in next door to Cedric the Entertainer’s perpetually put-upon Calvin Butler.

Calvin and Dave’s struggles to see eye to eye defined the show’s first few seasons, although The Neighborhood changing showrunners in season 5 did broaden its focus a little. However, in recent seasons, Calvin’s sons Malcolm and Marty have become the show’s focus as much as Dave and Calvin. Although The Neighborhood’s spinoff will focus on Tracy Morgan’s minor supporting character, the show’s canceled spinoff was set to follow Malcolm on his move to Venice Beach.

The Neighborhood Season 8 Focuses On Marty and Malcolm’s New Neighborhood

“Welcome To Venice” Introduced The Show’s New Setting

In season 7, episode 20, “Welcome to Venice,” Malcolm moved out of the neighborhood and into his new home in Venice Beach, spending his book advance on a fixer-upper. Seven seasons after setting up the sitcom’s original fish-out-of-water premise, wherein a Midwestern family moves to Calvin’s historically black neighborhood, The Neighborhood season 8 will now follow Malcolm and Marty moving into the comparatively white environs of Venice Beach. “Welcome to Venice” saw the brothers encounter all manner of quirky locals, from Justin Long’s tech bro Bruce to the glamorous influencer Matisse.

“Welcome to Venice” was originally intended to be the pilot episode of a separate spinoff show.

In a revelation that will surprise few viewers familiar with the tropes of sitcoms, “Welcome to Venice” was originally intended to be the pilot episode of a separate spinoff show. This cast of wacky characters, which also included Hunter King’s earnest activist, Bellamy, were intended to be the main stars of Malcolm and Marty’s new show. Since this series isn’t happening, there is an argument to be made that The Neighborhood season 8 will be the show’s riskiest outing so far. After all, it is now a show about a totally different neighborhood.

The Neighborhood Season 8’s Marty and Malcolm Story Was Almost A Separate Spinoff

“Welcome To Venice” Was Intended To Set Up A Separate Show

Originally, the characters from “Welcome to Venice” were set to populate a spinoff that would have focused on Malcolm and Marty’s struggles to fit in and find a modicum of peace in the chaos of Venice Beach. Malcolm’s literary agent was also added to the cast, but the canceled spinoff’s primary plot was clearly an inversion of The Neighborhood’s season 1 setup. This time, the Butler family members were the misplaced new arrivals getting used to unfamiliar neighbors.

When Malcolm and Marty’s spinoff wasn’t picked up, Cedric the Entertainer confirmed The Neighborhood season 8 would reincorporate this plot as part of the main series. The star said the sitcom could bounce between Venice Beach plots and stories set in the original neighborhood, thus allowing the series to enjoy the best of both worlds. While this sounds promising, the show must avoid one major mistake.

The Neighborhood Season 8 Must Maintain Its Original Premise

The CBS Sitcom Succeeded Thanks to Calvin and Dave’s Hilarious Relationship

Sheaun McKinney's Malcolm and Max Greenfield's Dave stand in a living room smiling from The Neighborhood

In Roseanne season 9, the working-class Conner family unexpectedly won the state lottery and became millionaires overnight. The show’s tone became absurdly cartoony and zany, with goofy plots involving saving the First Lady from terrorists on a train and a secret Satanic cult in New York. The result was a season that looked and felt nothing like Roseanne, which was roundly rejected by critics and dubbed one of the worst mistakes in sitcom history.

Malcolm and Marty’s canceled spinoff would have needed to use Greenfield and Cedric the Entertainer’s characters sparingly, since the duo were the original show’s heroes and could have easily distracted viewers from the new show.

This is relevant since The Neighborhood will end with season 8 and, already, Calvin and Dave barely appeared in “Welcome To Venice.” Malcolm and Marty’s canceled spinoff would have needed to use Greenfield and Cedric the Entertainer’s characters sparingly, since the duo were the original show’s heroes and could have easily distracted viewers from the new show. However, The Neighborhood season 8 can’t forget its original premise just because Venice Beach provides new characters to focus on and a flashier new setting.

CBS ordered a spinoff of The Neighborhood starring Sheaun McKinney and Marcel Spears that was set to premiere during the 2025–2026 TV season, but the network ultimately decided not to move forward with the series.

Viewers come to The Neighborhood to see Dave and Calvin’s families alternately clash and work together, so Malcolm and Marty’s story shouldn’t overshadow that. This might seem like it means relegating the Venice Beach story to the background, but arguably the opposite is true. With appealing new talent like Long and King, the Venice Beach plot should be pivotal to season 8, but Calvin and Dave should play a big role in helping Malcolm establish himself in this new setting (whether he wants their help or not).

The Neighborhood Season 8’s New Neighborhood Could Be Good For The Sitcom

The Neighborhood’s Final Season Can Benefit From A New Setting

If the show manages to balance these two settings, The Neighborhood season 8 could be the sitcom’s strongest outing so far. Malcolm and Marty’s scrapped spinoff means that the original show can now bounce between the two settings instead of relying entirely on Calvin and Dave or Malcolm and Marty, giving both pairings more room to grow and change. Already, Marty’s flirtations with Bellamy resulted in Courtney becoming possessive of him, even though she repeatedly rejected his offers to be in an exclusive romantic relationship.

Both Calvin and Dave and Marty and Malcolm needed a major change ahead of the show’s final season so that The Neighborhood season 8 didn’t end up feeling like an unnecessary victory lap for the long-running sitcom.

Venice Beach could truly shake up the character arcs of Malcolm and Marty, which were growing repetitive and stale trapped in Calvin’s home. Similarly, seeing Dave interact with the high-strung Bruce could allow the straight-laced character to realize how much he has changed since moving to Calvin’s neighborhood. Both Calvin and Dave and Marty and Malcolm needed a major change ahead of the show’s final season so that The Neighborhood season 8 didn’t end up feeling like an unnecessary victory lap for the long-running sitcom.

Max Greenfield and Beth Behrs standing together in The Neighborhood season 7

After how disappointing The Conners season 7’s ending was, it is fair to say that a family sitcom from 2018 ending by bringing in novel new characters isn’t necessarily a recipe for success. However, The Neighborhood season 8’s new setting means the show has the unique opportunity to reverse its own premise, putting Malcolm in Dave’s shoes and showing him what it was like for his affable neighbor to move into the neighborhood all those years ago. This means The Neighborhood season 8 could be a uniquely fun, poignant, and clever way to end the CBS sitcom.

‘American Housewife’ Co-Star Carly Hughes Exited ABC Comedy Over “Toxic Environment”; Investigation Of Claims Led To “Positive Changes”, Show Says

    Carly Hughes
    ABC

EXCLUSIVE: Carly Hughes has departed ABC comedy series American Housewife, where she was a series regular for the first four seasons, alleging toxic environment and discrimination as reasons for her exit. Hughes left after the end of Season 4. She was featured in the Season 5 premiere, the bulk of which was shot before the March production shutdown because of the pandemic. Beginning with Episode 2, her name no longer appeared in the opening credits.

American Housewife' Star Carly Hughes Leaves ABC Show, Alleges 'Toxic Environment' | HuffPost Entertainment

“I was no longer able to work in the toxic environment that was created on American Housewife,” Hughes said in a statement to Deadline. “I made the decision to leave to protect myself from that type of discrimination. As a black woman in entertainment, I feel the responsibility to stand up for what I deserve, what we all deserve — to be treated equally. I wish the show well, and I am excited for a new chapter and to be able to pursue the opportunities ahead.”

According to sources, the allegations made by Hughes, the only Black series regular on American Housewife, triggered an extensive HR investigation by ABC Signature, which also looked into other claims from production team members. Following the probe, American Housewife creator Sarah Dunn is no longer an active producer on the show, Mark J. Greenberg stepped down as line producer, and showrunners Rick Wiener and Kenny Schwartz underwent sensitivity training.

“Carly was a valued member of the cast, and we had hoped she would return to the show this season,” a spokesperson for American Housewife said. “The concerns she raised led to positive changes to the workplace and improvements to the culture, but we respect the decision she made to move on. We wish her nothing but the best.”

On American Housewife, Hughes played Angela, one of Katie’s (Katy Mixon) only real friends in Westport, along with Doris (Ali Wong). The trio got “second breakfast” together almost every day to gossip and work through their problems.

Her departure is one of two cast changes on the comedy heading into Season 5. The Anna-Kat role was recast with Giselle Eisenberg as Julia Butters exited the show. Meanwhile, Holly Robinson Peete is joining the series in a major recurring role as a close friend of Katie’s (Mixon).

Hughes is known for her work on Broadway, where she has appeared in eight shows, most recently starring as Velma Kelly in Chicago, The Leading Player in Pippin and Lucille/Shirley of the Shirelles in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. On TV, she also recurred on the Netflix series Insatiable. Hughes next will be seen headlining the Lifetime movie The Christmas Edition, set for premiere this Sunday, November 15.

Ryan Seacrest’s habit has Wheel of Fortune viewers questioning whether he can read

Some observant Wheel of Fortune viewers have a question about Ryan Seacrest’s performance as the host.

Ryan has only been hosting Wheel of Fortune for two months but seems to have grown on his critics.

There was a bit of apprehension about Ryan filling Pat Sajak’s shoes, but the American Idol host proved that he’s got what it takes – or does he?

Ryan Seacrest has been under the watchful eyes of Wheel of Fortune fans, who have been dissecting his every move.

First, Ryan was accused of not spelling well. Now critics claim he can’t read.

On Reddit, a curious Wheel watcher created a thread discussing Ryan’s technique during the Bonus Round. They called the post “Does Ryan know how to say numbers?”

Wheel of Fortune viewer wonders why Ryan Seacrest never says prize amounts out loud

A Redditor pointed out that they’ve never seen Ryan verbally announce the prize amount during the final Bonus Round.

They explained, “He just flips the gold envelope open, looks down at it, and then at the contestant.”

“SO you can see that the puzzle was worth $40,000, BUT HE NEVER says the dollar amount of the prize out loud. He doesn’t actually read it off the card and say the number that is written. He just shows the audience and cameras the card,” the Reddit user added.

Their explanation continued, pointing out that Ryan never states the prize number, only flipping open the envelope to reveal the amount.

“I’m starting to wonder if maybe he just can’t read numbers?” they added.

Ryan Seacrest’s supporters come to his defense

Many Wheel watchers expressed the contrary, such as u/nowords left, who commented that Ryan verbalizes every number on the wheel.

Another Redditor added that Ryan can read numbers and is not “numerically illiterate.”

“If you don’t like Ryan fine … but at least back your criticism up with substance. Saying he can’t read numbers is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard,” they added.

“He doesn’t have to say them. The contestant and audience reactions speak for themselves,” added another Ryan supporter.

A couple of Wheel of Fortune viewers recalled that Pat Sajak never vocalized the prize amount during his tenure as host.

Wheel watchers are still adjusting to Pat Sajak’s absence

It seems that Ryan’s critics are still poking around to find fault with the TV icon.

Pat’s departure shocked longtime Wheel watchers, but at 78 years old, it was time for him to retire.

Pat was a Wheel of Fortune host for more than four decades and earned himself a reputation as one of the most iconic television hosts in history.

Despite hanging up his hat after Season 41, Wheel of Fortune fans can take solace in knowing Pat hasn’t completely left the franchise.

Pat stuck around to host Season 5 of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and is still a consultant for the popular weeknight game show.

Pat Sajak was mostly loved and at times criticized by “Wheel of Fortune” fans, but he was a familiar face who they were comfortable with. Ever since Ryan Seacrest took over the hosting duties of “Wheel Of Fortune,”  he has naturally been compared to the iconic Sajak who led the show for decades. While most like the new host’s charm and personality on the show, die-hard fans of Sajak often feel he falls short. Recently, a player who shared the stage with Seacrest on the show shared some insight into how the host is in real life.

In a Reddit thread called “The new guy,” on the show’s unofficial forum, fans of “Wheel Of Fortune” discussed Ryan’s performance as the new host.

Further, lauding the host’s looks, one Redditor, u/Aggravating-Body-721 wrote, “He dresses nice, is personable & engaging with all the contestants & their families. I like the new guy!” In the replies to the comment, Cody Munger who appeared on the show’s “Big Tournament Championship” last year, chimed in to share his insight. He shared his experience with Ryan off-camera and claimed that the new host has an easygoing personality which is partly responsible for his success.

“I got to play recently and when my friends/family ask me about him, I say that I get why he’s so successful,” u/CodyyeMunger wrote. He further continued that Seacrest was very fun to be around as well. “He was so nice and fun to be around. He makes you comfortable and forget that millions of people are watching you play,” he wrote.

The former contestant even attributed his success on the show to the host. “He was a big factor in all of my week having as much fun as we did,” he added. This was evident in Munger’s bonus round where Seacrest talked to him like a friend. Going into the bonus round, Munger introduced his buddies Jason and Billy. “Well, let’s hope it goes really well tonight. I’d like to meet you up on stage this time around, so don’t screw it up,” Seacrest told Munger, putting his warmth on display.

Munger emerged victorious in the episode, winning the week-long BetMGM Big Winners Tournament with $27,150 in cash and a prize trip to Atlantic City. Going into the bonus round, he had a  $94,900 jackpot at stake.

The Bonus Round featured a four-word puzzle, which read, “O_T     O_    T_E    _ _ Y” after the standard letters “R, S, T, L, N, E” and Munger’s “C, D, Y, O,” were filled in. When the 10-second timer went off, Cody wasted no time to solve it by guessing, “Out of The Way.” While Vanna White immediately started clapping, it took a moment for Seacrest to register the answer. “Cody? That’s it,” Seacrest yelled after an awkward pause. The elated contestant finally threw his head back in relief.

“You got it! Congratulations,” Seacrest added as confetti was showered on the stage, and the camera showed the amount close to $100,000 that Munger had just won.

Price Is Right’s host Drew Carey said he was ‘blessed’ to have a cancer survivor return to show after she won a Showcase in 1999.

The Price Is Right’s longtime host, Drew Carey, was feeling “blessed” to have one contestant on the hit CBS game show.

During the April 15 episode, player Yolanda made her way to the stage after guessing the nearest retail price of an air purifier.

She got emotional while she announced to Carey and the audience that she was making her return to the show after she won a Showcase in 1999.

The player also divulged that she’s a cancer survivor and expressed her happiness with being able to return after her health battle.

Carey was moved by her tearful reveal and said: “Oh, my goodness! I feel so blessed to be next to you this morning.”

Sadly, Yolanda didn’t get the chance to win a new sedan during her game of Pocket Change or score bif once again during the Showcase round as she didn’t win on the wheel.

The Showcase came down to Kevin and Derek, who both spun $1 on the wheel, securing $1k, and a spot on the finishing game.

Derek passed on bidding on amart watches, inflatable motor boats, and a sedan. Kevin bid $27k on the items.

Meanwhile, Derek also bid $27k on trips to New Orleans, Spain, and South Africa.

Kevin wound up bidding only $50 over his price, allowing Derek to win despite being $4k under.

During yesterday’s episode of the game show, Carey jokingly scolded a player about complaing as they voiced their dismay about not getting to play Plinko.

Player James attracted Carey’s attention with his shirt that said: “I wanna play Plinko,” which prompted the host to say in dismay: “Ah, James we’re not playing Plinko!”

James replied: “That’s okay, I’m just happy to be here.” Carey asked: “Oh, you’re happy if we don’t play Plinko?” James replied: “Yeah, it’s totally fine.”

Carey told announcer George Gray: “George he says its okay we’re not playing Plinko,” which made James interject: “Unless you have it. I’ll take it.”

Gray then asked James: “What would you be okay playing?” before added: “Okay how about you just play for a brand new car!”

James then played the Dice Game for a chance to win the vehicle.

According to the game show’s website, the game sees the first digit in the price of a car revealed. The remaining digits in the price are all between 1 and 6.

The contestant rolls dice to predict the remaining digits and if they do not roll a correct digit, they must predict whether the digit is higher or lower than the number rolled.

If the contestant is correct about each digit, they win the car.

James ended up winning the car after a tense game, and it prompted Carey to joke: “You better not complain you didn’t play Plinko. That’s all I gotta say.

“I don’t wanna hear one word, ‘Ah I didn’t get to play Plinko, I just won a car.’”

A recent Price is Right contestant’s obscene gesture might have given her some luck.

Contestants are starting to win big on rarely-won games and it might be because many fans think they’ve cracked the code to one of the show’s toughest challenges.

During the latest episode of the CBS game show, another player left Drew Carey speechless with their unbelievable luck.

Contestant Janice was chosen after guessing the right price on a flat screen TV.

Once she realized she guessed correctly, she ran up on stage and pledged her love for the host.

“I love you so much,” she said.

Janice’s admiration grew once she realized she was chosen to play the beloved Plinko. She then ran around the stage and screamed in joy.

She admitted: “This is a dream come true.”

The famous game consists of dropping chips down a peg board to win cash prizes.

Before she could guess the price of several grocery items, Carey gave the contestant one to start. To focus on the game, she stored it in a peculiar place. Once she was handed the chip, she placed it in her bra.

Her gesture caused a burst of laughs from the crowd and a humored look from the host.

It seems her holding spot might have given her luck as she was able to guess the right price to two items, giving her three tries to play and win.

She didn’t need the extra chances as she won big on her first try.

Janice walked up the flight of stairs and placed her first chip on the board. Most people don’t get lucky during the classic game but that was the case for the contestant.

Her chip made it to the bottom and slid into the $10,000. She shocked the audience and Carey who responded: “That’s unbelievable.”

The play even stunned Janice as she asked: “Did I just win $10,000? Seriously?”

She jumped up and down before continuing to play and receiving another $1,000 from her other two chips.

Her luck continued later on in the show when she spun the Big Wheel and landed on the $1, which means she won an additional $1,000, a Bonus Spin and a spot in The Showcase.

Unfortunately, she did not win the final round but she still went home with $22,000.

Reba, who is partnering with Realtor.com on their “Nearly Home” campaign, spoke to Good Housekeeping about the exciting things to come when the series returns. When asked about if there were any personal touches viewers may have not picked up while watching Happy’s Place, the singer and actress (who’s also an executive producer for the show) made a surprise revelation. She revealed that the tavern actually has secret nods to all the guest stars and extras appearing on camera throughout the episodes — and they show up in a format folks will definitely need to keep an eye out for.

“The thing I love so much about the Happy’s Place set — especially the tavern — is the memorabilia everywhere,” she explained. “The extras and our stand-ins on our team are so good, that we’ll do polaroids of anybody that’s been on set. We then put them up in little strategic places in the tavern so that they can see themselves there … Any kind of final little small touches like that makes everybody feel welcome and a part of the show.”

Wait — now we need to pay closer attention and look for this surprise set detail on Happy’s Place! And that’s not all Reba shared about how special the show’s set design is for her.

The former Reba star also noted something special that production designer Glenda Rovello does with her team for the set of Happy’s Place. Reba stated how she gave Glenda personal photos from her own life to display in her character Bonnie’s late dad’s home. But Reba also realized there were other eclectic pieces around the set that immediately took her back to her own childhood, too.

“In Happy’s house, there was a little box and it had shells all around it,” Reba added. “I looked at it, took a picture of it and sent it to my sisters. I said, ‘Didn’t Mama have a box just like this?’ And [my sister] Alice [Foran] asked, ‘Where’d you get that?’ I said, ‘It’s on the set of Happy’s Place!’ She said there was one in Mama’s house, right there by her sewing machine.”

One of the longest-running game shows in the history of television, “The Price Is Right” is known and loved for its quirky games. The show features some age-old classics such as Plinko, Cliffhanger, and some new additions like the “Gridlock” game. While most are loved by the fans, there is one game that has recently come earned their ire. It’s called “Rat Race” and was created by Drew Carey himself. While the game is innovative, fans argue that it is too complicated and sometimes unfair.

“Rat Race” is a pricing game that includes a car as the top prize with a small and a medium prize. In the first part of the game, the contestant has to guess the price of three items within specified ranges to earn a colored rat. The three items are a grocery item priced under $10 which players must guess within $1, a small prize priced under $100 to be guessed within $10, and a medium prize priced under $500 to be guessed within $100.

For each bid in the correct range, the contestant gets to choose five colored mechanical rats. These rats are positioned on a large dollar sign-shaped race track and they are set in motion by a model who pulls a handle.

If one of the chosen rats finishes in third place, the contestant wins the small prize, if it finishes in second, it wins a medium-sized prize, and the rat wins the race, the player wins the car. Contestants can win more prizes depending on how many rats they choose to finish the race.

However, there is a chance that a rat may malfunction and not finish the race. Sometimes a rat may even fail to start the race. The show has a store of a couple hundred mechanical rats with each running at a different speed. The rats are picked at random for each episode.

As seen in the case of the player named Thomas, a contestant could only guess the price of one item in the specified range. Unfortunately, Thomas got the two relatively easier guesses wrong, so he had only one rat.

He chose the color blue which was his wife’s favorite color, and luckily for him, the rat executed a photo-finish for the first place winning him the car.

But in some cases a rat may even go off the track or not finish the race at all. Thus, fans of the show aren’t very fond of the game due to the mechanical jeopardy.

In a Reddit post titled,  “Rat Race, when will the madness stop?” user @Educational-Salad133 expressed his views on the game. The author explained that the malfunctioning rats are essentially unfair and the game should not exist.

Several fans joined the conversation adding convincing points to the argument. “What if Cliffhanger fell off while going up the cliff? “Oops, sorry. No chance of winning anything now. George, who’s our next contestant?” Cash register games. “Oops, looks like the keys jammed. No winners today. George, who’s our next contestant?” Agreed. The rat race malfunctions shouldn’t count against the contestant,” explained @JeanEBH.
