A recent Price Is Right player wildly jumped on model Devin Goda after winning a massive prize on one of the hit CBS game show’s most difficult games.

During the Monday, April 21 episode, player Elsa guessed the nearest retail price of an LED-powered jukebox with a CD player, an AMFM stereo, and four speakers.

When she excitedly made it to the stage where longtime host Drew Carey stood, announcer George Gray revealed that she had the chance to win a 2025 Volkswagen Jetta Sport if she was victorious at a game of Hole in One, one of the hardest games on the show.

“We’re playing a game called Hole in One. Do you golf?” Carey asked Elsa. “No, but I’m going to today,” she replied.

“I don’t golf either, but you could win this game,” the host replied.

During her game, Elsa has to arrange the small items on the stands in order from least expensive to most expensive.

The more correct prices she guessed, the closer she got on the small golf course.

Models Rachel Reynolds and Devin Goda moved the flags behind the items in order of how Elsa called them.

She picked the licorice candy first, which was $4.79. The cooked beets were next, at $2.99, so Elsa had to putt from the furthest away line on the course.

Carey demonstrated how to make the shot and landed a perfect hole-in-one before Elsa took her shot.

“He made it for me! I take your putt!” Elsa joked before Carey said, “No.”

Getting up to make her show, Elsa paused before saying, “This is nerve-wracking.” She ended up getting a hole-in-one and screamed and jumped up and down excitedly when she realized she won.

As Elsa ran towards the car and jumped into Goda’s arms, screaming “Oh my God!” as the model stumbled back a bit in surprise at the force of her hug, before putting her down.

Elsa then high-fived and hugged Carey and Reynolds.

Later, she spun the wheel and got an 80, proceeding to the Showcase round where she bid on six pairs of designer sneakers, range and countertop appliances, and a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Premium.

Elsa bid $32,500, but was over by only $166 for a total of $32,334.

Price Is Right posted Elsa’s impressive win on the difficult game on their YouTube channel, and fans couldn’t help but be stunned, with one person commenting, “All the way from the furthest line, and didn’t even need the second chance.”

Another added, “Nice shot and congratulations on your win.”

A third praised, “That was a lucky hole in one, but unlucky she was only over by just more than a hundred dollars.”

A fourth joked, “Thanks Drew for showing how to center the ball,” as a fifth gushed, “That was crazy!”

Others added, “Holy moly, she got it in one shot.. Congrats on your new car,” and “Great job here on Hole in One! Had to putt from the furthest line back, but wow, what a putt she made!”

‘The Price Is Right’ Player Does Cartwheel After $25,000 Win on Fan Favorite Game

The Price Is Right contestant Ashia winning $25,000 on Tuesday, May 20, 2025
    The Price Is Right/YouTube

The Price Is Right contestant celebrated in a big way when she won $25,000 on a near-perfect game. She jumped and skipped around the game show stage and ended her celebration with a cartwheel.

Ashia, from Miami, Florida, won the fifth item up for bid, which was a 75-inch 4k QLED smart television, on Tuesday, May 20. She bid $2,100 and was only $100 off the actual retail price of $2,200.

When she won the item, she got to play To The Penny. In To the Penny, The Price Is Right contestant is shown five grocery items and is handed five pennies. They have to correctly guess the price of the item with the number of prices increasing every time (from two to six).

If the contestant doesn’t guess the correct amount the first time, they have to give up some pennies in order to eliminate wrong answers. They have to have at least one left by the end in order to continue and win $25,000.

Ashia was enthusiastic from the time she stepped on stage, jumping up and down at Bidder’s Row. When host Drew Carey told her that she could win up to $25,000, she jumped up and down and clapped.

The first item that Ashia had to pick the right amount for was Poppi prebiotic soda. If she got it correct, she would win $1,500. She had to choose between $2.49 and $5.19. Ashia went for it and guessed $2.49 without giving up a penny. She was correct and banked the money.

The next item was Zicam cold remedy medicine. The three prices she had to choose from were $4.49, $10.49, and $17.99. Ashia went for it again and picked $10.49. She was incorrect and had to give up two pennies to stay in the game. Ashia then picked $17.99 and was correct, pocketing $3,000.

The third item was Yellowbird hot sauce. Ashia had to choose between four prices — $3.49, $5.49, $7.99, and $10.19. She picked $7.49 and was right again, earning $6,000.

For the small container of parsley, there were five prices to pick from — $2.89, $4.29, $5.79, $6.99, and $8.49. Ashia looked to her family in the audience and then picked $5.79. She was right and won $12,000. Ashia jumped up and down.

“Not a lot of people make it this far in the game,” Drew Carey said.

The last item, worth $25,000, was the Finish Jet-Dry rinse aid. For this one, Ashia had to pick one price out of six — $3.29, $4.99, $6.29, $7.69, $9.49, and $11.49. For the mouthwash, Drew Carey told her that she could spend her last three pennies to get rid of three wrong prices, but if she was wrong on her guess, she would leave with $12,000. Ashia chose to spend her pennies. $7.69, $4.99, and $11.49 were taken off the board.

“I know it!” she said. Ashia guessed $9.49. Before the price was revealed, she started skipping around the stage. Ashia was correct, winning $25,000. She ran around the stage and then went into a skip before coming back to Carey. Ashia ended the celebration with a cartwheel before leaving the stage.

Ashia only spun a 25 on the Showcase Showdown wheel, so she did not advance to the Showcase.

Malcolm In The Middle’s Revival Can Finally Reveal What The Family’s Last Name Is

It’s Been A Long-Running Gag That The Family’s Last Name Remains A Mystery

The cast of Malcolm in the Middle smiling in a promo photo

Across the entire original Malcolm in the Middle show, viewers never officially learned their real last name. There were some bits that included Francis and Malcom’s surname as “Nolastname,” which became a running gag on the series, but the official standing was that their last name remained a mystery. Although a general fan consensus has determined that the family’s last name is Wilkerson, the actual show never confirmed or upheld that notion. The Malcolm in the Middle revival could finally give an official answer to what their last name actually is or continue to make the bit a longstanding and signature joke.

Early Malcolm In The Middle Drafts Revealed Their Last Name As Wilkerson

The Pilot Script & Episode Indicated That Francis’s Last Name Was Wilkerson

A deleted scene from Malcolm in the Middle season 1, which was included on the original DVD box set, reveals that the family’s last name was actually Wilkerson before the scene got cut. Early drafts of the Malcolm in the Middle season 1 scripts also stated that the family’s surname was Wilkerson, and the main cast are currently credited as “Malcolm Wilkerson,” “Hal Wilkerson,” etc. on IMDb. However, neither Fox nor series creator Linwood Boomer has cleared the air on the Wilkerson debate. Perhaps, now that the show is being rebooted at Disney, the name will finally be revealed in a satisfying way.

Why Malcolm In The Middle Kept The Family’s Last Name A Mystery

Linwood Boomer & Fox Wanted To Keep The Family’s Ethnic Background Vague

According to a 2003 article from the New Bern Sun Journal, series creator Linwood Boomer explained that the family in Malcolm in the Middle was intentionally not given a distinct surname. “The family’s last name has never been mentioned directly on the Fox sitcom hit because series creator Linwood Boomer did not want to put any specific ethnic label on the characters.” While Wilkerson was established in early drafts of Malcolm in the Middlethe decision was made to remove the Wilkerson surname to avoid categorizing Malcolm and his family by a particular ethnicity.

Malcolm and his family aren’t necessarily what you would call ethnically ambiguous, so hopefully the Malcolm in the Middle reboot will finally provide a definitive answer.

The article also states, “Malcolm trivia buffs will tell you that Boomer’s original pilot script included the family surname Wilkerson, which appeared in some very early drafts of Fox promotional material and on the military-school uniform worn by Francis in the pilot. A Fox publicist emphasizes, however, that officially the family’s last name should be considered a mystery.” That said, this statement was made over two decades ago and hasn’t been completely effective in detaching Malcolm and his family from the Wilkerson surname. Additionally, Malcolm and his family aren’t necessarily what you would call ethnically ambiguous, so hopefully the Malcolm in the Middle reboot will finally provide a definitive answer.

For any sitcom fans out there, you were probably tuning into The Middle weekly from 2009 to 2018. The show follows the dysfunctional lives of the Hecks — a middle-class, middle-America family — from the fictional town of Orson, Indiana.

In the show, working-class parents Frankie and Mike Heck struggle to make ends meet, frequently shopping at the Frugal Hoosier, a discount food store that sells expired items, and eating fast-food takeout most nights. Frankie works her day job at a car dealership, where she can’t seem to sell a car or get a raise, while her husband manages a quarry.

Together, the couple has three kids: the athletic but lazy Axl, the cheerful, optimistic Sue, and the quirky, often forgotten Brick. Though they have their own special qualities, the Heck siblings emulate a typical family: Axl often teases his younger sister, and Sue, the middle sibling, looks for the bright side in everything. Brick, the youngest brother, often keeps to himself (and his books).

Though the series came to an end in 2018, the Heck family lives on with its fans. The Middle cast, which was full of stellar actors, has gone on to do great things after their time on the show.

    Patricia Heaton as Frankie Heck

    2009/2025Brian To / Contributor // Roy Rochlin / Contributor
Everybody knows and loves Patricia Heaton as Debra Barone in Everybody Loves Raymond, but she also perfectly portrayed her role as Frankie Heck in The Middle. The overworked, overly stressed mother of three serves as the narrator for almost every episode of the series. Though she can often come off a tad overbearing to her children, Heaton’s character is a loving mother, willing to do almost anything for them.

While the actress has played a mom on-screen twice, as Frankie and Debra, she is also playing the role in real life. Heaton said, “So much of what Frankie Heck went through on The Middle was paralleling exactly what I was going through with my kids, filling out college applications, your kids looking for work.” For future roles, she explained, “I would like to play something different.”

But in 2018, when the series came to an end, Heaton continued creating characters we adore. She voiced the character of Mama Bear in the movie, Smallfoot (2018), part of a star-studded cast which included Channing Tatum, Zendaya, Danny DeVito and James Corden.

In 2019, Heaton reentered the sitcom world in her new series, Carol’s Second Act, portraying a retired schoolteacher who starts a second career as a doctor. Unfortunately, the series was canceled after just one season in 2020. Two years later, she starred in Mending the Line (2022).

Most recently, Heaton appeared in projects including The Beldham (2024), three episodes of Frasier (2024), The Unbreakable Boy (2025) and the horror film, The Ritual (2025).

    Neil Flynn as Mike Heck

    man smiling
    2009/2023Heather Holt / Contributor // Hollywood To You/Star Max / Contributor
The hilariously stoic character of Mike Heck is portrayed by none other than Neil Flynn. Mike tends to keep to himself and hardly ever smiles, but audiences start to see his soft side throughout the series. Oftentimes, the character only focuses on his oldest son, Axl, because of their shared love of football, but as he opens up over the years, you can clearly see the love he has for his other children.

His lack of emotion is a significant plot point for the series, as is his love for wearing flannel shirts every day. But despite all his flaws, Mike Heck is a hard-working father who cares for and supports his family.

Flynn, who was previously cast as the janitor on Scrubs (2001), was grateful for more of a major role on the sitcom, commenting, “With a bigger part comes many, many more hours at work. But I was 100 percent happy to be there; I welcomed the weightier part.”

Since his time as Mike Heck ended, Flynn has made a splash in the television world. He has done multiple voice-acting projects, including Superman: Man of Tomorrow (2020), Clone High (2023) and The Santa Clauses (2023). In 2019, Flynn starred in the sitcom Abby’s, but the series was canceled after just one season.

Flynn starred in the movie Unexpected in 2023, but has mostly made guest appearances on TV shows, including Girls5eva (2022), PBC (2022) and Shrinking (2023).

    Charlie McDermott as Axl Heck

    man smiling
    2009/2017Kurt Krieger – Corbis / Contributor // Paul Archuleta / Contributor
Charlie McDermott takes on the role of the classic older brother as Axl Heck. He’s a big-time athlete in high school, makes jokes at his sister’s expense (often referring to her as a dog), doesn’t clean up after himself and lounges around in nothing but his underwear.

Though it’s hard to imagine The Middle cast without McDermott, he almost didn’t make the cut. When he first auditioned, the series wasn’t picked up for about a year, but at that point the role was up for grabs again., McDermott said, “The audition came back again and it was the exact same audition sides [sample script pages] except the character name was scratched out and it said Axl instead of Elvis.”

Axl grows up a lot by the end of the series, caring for his family and offering advice to his siblings. When his sister attends the same college as him, despite his resistance, Axl takes it upon himself to make sure she is as comfortable as possible.

Unlike his character, who loves attention, McDermott hasn’t been in the spotlight all too much since the series ended. He had a very small part in the Mark Wahlberg movie, Instant Family (2018). Then in 2019, McDermott had a small arc in the mini-series, Unbelievable. The same year, he appeared in the movie Countdown. He is cast in an upcoming project titled Rhubarb, but no release date is known.

McDermott has also been busy releasing his own music since his time in The Middle cast. He issued an album in 2020 titled Some Things Just Fall Out of Your Hands and a 2022 EP titled Blind Warm Light. McDermott got married in 2017 but keeps his relationship very private.

    Eden Sher as Sue Heck

    woman smiling
    2009/2025Jeffrey Mayer / Contributor // John Sciulli / Stringer
Sue Sue Heck (which is how her name appears on her birth certificate due to a mistake made by her parents) is equivalent to a ray of sunshine. She has inspiring animal posters hung on her walls, she wears bright colors and patterns (that usually don’t match) and she never quits at anything. Eden Sher perfectly portrays the dorky, yet adorable teen.

Because she is often forgotten by her classmates and teachers, Sue has dozens of other names throughout the series. Some are sweet nicknames, like Suzy Q, courtesy of her neighbor and future husband, Sean Donahue (Beau Wirick). But many others are because nobody can seem to remember her name, so she’s credited as Ana Hajarajanaan in the yearbook.

But like her character, who tries many different activities, Eden Sher has been cast in a variety of projects. Since The Middle came to an end, she’s continued her series regular role on Star vs. the Forces of Evil (2019).

Sher also appeared in a small part on the series Jane the Virgin (2019), and in 2022 voiced a character in a video game, High on Life. She also appeared on How I Met Your Father (2023) and Chibiverse (2024).

Sher married her husband, Nick Cron-Devico in 2020, and the couple welcomed twin daughters in 2021.

    Atticus Shaffer as Brick Heck

    man smiling
    2009/2018Steve Granitz / Contributor // Paul Archuleta / Contributor
The often-forgotten youngest child, Brick, who is more concerned with his books than the world around him, is portrayed by Atticus Shaffer. In fact, he’s so forgotten that Brick was even switched at birth, but switched back a month later. He has his own designated “Brick chair,” which is simply a lawn chair, because there weren’t enough regular dining room seats to accommodate him.

Brick has many weird quirks — such as his need to whisper certain words after he says them or when he says “whoop” in the middle of a sentence. But despite his special qualities, Brick is one of the most hilarious characters in The Middle cast.

Atticus Shaffer has done a wide array of projects since his time on the series ended. The actor was in the 2018 movie, I’ll Be Next Door for Christmas. He was also in the middle (pun intended) of his own series, The Lion Guard (2019), where he voiced the character Ono.

Shaffer also had an arc in the series Harvey Girls Forever! (2020), Never Have I Ever (2020) and Adventures in Odyssey (2020). He even booked another series in 2017, titled Pete the Cat, where he remained until 2022.

“The Middle” Star Breaks Silence on Explosive Reboot Rumors – Fans Are Going Wild!

The Middle Star Shoots Down A Potential Reboot Despite The ABC Sitcom’s Surging Popularity: “It’s Like A Great Work Of Art”

Frankie from The Middle (Patricia Heaton) is looking suspicious while leaning against a chair

One of The Middle stars shuts down the idea of the ABC sitcom coming back for a reboot. Following the lives of the Heck family in Indiana, The Middle was a sitcom that ran on ABC from 2009 to 2018. It had over 200 episodes across nine seasons. The series featured a leading cast including Patricia Heaton, Atticus Shaffer, Neil Flynn, Brock Ciarlelli, Eden Sher, and Charlie McDermott. Despite the show ending seven years ago, the series has come back into the public eye through clips circulating online.

Speaking with Yahoo Entertainment, Heaton shares her opinion on a potential The Middle reboot. In her opinion, The Middle (along with her other major series, Everybody Loves Raymond), is “perfection” and does not need to be revisited. The actor pointed out that “people have such a good feeling about the show” and its ending provided closure, making it good as it is. As for its return to popularity, she thinks it is a “beautiful thing.” Check out the full quote from Heaton below:

The way they wrapped it up, where we got to flash-forward in the lives of the Heck family and see where they all ended up, it was so beautiful, and I think people have such a good feeling about the show.

The Middle is having such a resurgence on TikTok, of all places, that kids are rediscovering or discovering it for the first time. … It’s a beautiful thing. ‘s like a great work of art — you don’t need to go in there and touch it up or change it or do anything to it. Just let it be what it is. And the wonderful thing about TV and about streaming [is] you’ll be able to enjoy it as much as you want.

What This Means For The Middle’s Reboot Potential

The Middle Almost Had A Reboot With Sue Sue In The City

Despite Heaton’s thoughts on The Middle‘s positive ending, the show almost returned in the form of a reboot. ABC had once planned for a spinoff based on the Heck family’s Sue Heck. Following her life and career after high school, the spinoff would have been called Sue Sue in the City and would have followed Sue as she went to live in Chicago. The creators even wrote and filmed a pilot for Sue Sue in the City, but the show ended up nixed by the network.

Now, there has also been a renewed interest in Sue Sue in the City in the years since The Middle‘s Sue Heck-based show was shut down. Just recently, Sher expressed hope about the spinoff coming back, saying she is going to find a way for people to see it somehow.” She has also described the pilot as “really good” and previously stated that it “was pretty devastating when it didn’t go.” Unlike Heaton, stars like Sher and Ciarlelli still have an interest in continuing the franchise.

Our Take On The Middle’s Continuation

Not All Spinoffs Are Created Equally

Sue Heck (Eden Sher) looking angry in The Middle.

In Heaton’s defense, extending The Middle would risk tainting the show’s well-received reputation. As it stands, the sitcom is well-received by audiences, getting an 88% Popcornmeter audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. While Sue Sue in the City could have been great, this is not always the case with reboots, as evidenced recently by the mixed reception of Suits LA. Reboots and spinoffs of long-ended TV shows may be on the rise right now, but that does not mean that they are always good ideas.

20 Years Later, A Beloved American Sitcom Makes a Surprise Return to Streaming Charts

Bryan Cranston as Hal in Malcolm in the Middle sips a slurpy while looking out his car window

Some might say that life is unfair, but life also has a way of creating full-circle moments that are more than fair. Right now, a beloved sitcom of millennials is making its rounds, as FlixPatrol reveals that Malcolm in the Middle is slowly but surely climbing the charts over at Disney+. Clocking in at the eighth spot on the platform’s Top 10, the Frankie Muniz-led show is reaching audiences all around the globe in countries such as Haiti, Panama, Bolivia, Saint Lucia, and more.

Seeing how there’s a sequel series on the way, there’s a good chance that audiences are either seeing what the original production was all about or engaging in the time-honored tradition of a rewatch before the next part of the story arrives.

Filming wrapped for the highly anticipated reboot back in May, so we’re creeping closer and closer to its inevitable arrival on Disney+. Most of the main cast will be reprising their roles, with Muniz returning to the world of the titular character alongside Bryan Cranston as Hal, Jane Kaczmarek as Lois, Justin Berfield as Reese, and Christopher Masterson as Francis.

The only primary member of the Wilderson family who is sitting the revival out is Erik Per Sullivan, who portrayed youngest brother Dewey during the title’s seven-season run. Sharing the reason behind Sullivan’s departure, his co-star, Cranston previously revealed,

“He’s actually going to Harvard. He’s really, really smart, and he’s getting his Master’s at Harvard right now. He said, ‘Oh God, no, I haven’t acted since I was 9 or something. So I’m not into it.’”

But that doesn’t mean that audiences won’t be able to catch up with the character. In Sullivan’s absence, The Silencing and Wyonna Earp alum, Caleb Ellsworth-Clark will step in.

Reunite the Wilkersons in the Reboot

Given that it’s been nearly 20 years since Malcolm in the Middle went off the air, there’s quite a bit of catching up to do with the entire Wilkerson family. The reboot is being billed as a follow-up set of episodes that will catch up with each of the boys — well, men — and see where they’re at today.

Many of them have families of their own, with Cranston’s Hal and Kaczmarek’s Lois now being grandparents. Eager to talk about what the experience was like for him, Cranston said,

“All the boys were around the same age, now, that I was when I started 25 years ago. They’ve got kids of their own. It’s just great to see… I’m asked to do physical comedy on that show and I realized, ‘Oh, it’s been 20 years since I did that.’ I have a few extra restrictions now, so it’s like I’m crawling around. I’m, of course, naked again. That’s no surprise, no surprise at all.”

Get caught up on the series that started it all with Malcolm in the Middle now streaming on Disney+.

A source shared with Radar that Dolly Parton’s friends were concerned about her workload and felt she should be spending more time at home with her husband, the reclusive Carl Dean.

While Parton had recently stated in an interview that she would “definitely pull way back” if Dean was “in ill health or needed her,” the situation has not arisen yet.

She also manages multiple product lines and works as a TV producer. The star further plans to put up a Broadway musical based on her life in 2026 and is overseeing its casting.

“Dolly is on the phone and taking meetings around the clock,” continued the source before stating, “She’s got Dollywood to run and all her other business ventures, from her publishing company to fragrance line – and she’s still thinking up new endeavors that take a lot of her time and energy.”

“The fear is if Dolly doesn’t slow down and start to delegate more responsibilities she’ll burn out and no one wants that,” they added.

Dolly Parton states she had no plans of retiring

Dolly Parton had expressed in multiple interviews that she did not plan to slow down her work any time soon, telling the Guardian in October 2024, “Oh, my Lord, I can’t retire.”

“I’m not one to sit around doing nothing. I’ll just hopefully drop dead in the middle of a song on stage someday. Hopefully, one I’ve written,” she stated in another radio interview.

While not engaged professionally, Parton shared that she enjoyed doing “simple things” with her husband in their Tennessee home.

“I don’t go out that much and just live a simple life actually. I look like a party doll, but I’m pretty much a homebody when I’m not working; I love to be at home. I love to cook and read, and do piddly things around the house, womanly things,” she revealed to Hello!

“My husband and I have always enjoyed each other. I love to do stuff with him; we have a little RV and like to travel around, especially in Tennessee — we love to get out just for the weekend or day trips. We’ve been all over the country in it,” she continued.

“He’s never liked going out to dinner and all that stuff. And although I love to go out with friends to a nice dinner and have fun, it just felt natural to me to keep my life private,” added the star.

Gayle King is “furious” about the recent controversies and changes at CBS, and she may be ready to leave the network’s morning show, “CBS This Morning,” altogether.

Furious' Gayle King could leave 'CBS This Morning' following scandalous year: report

The news comes after Page Six reported last week that the program was headed for a complete overhaul.

“There are real discussions about just starting over — anchors, format, producers,” a source said. “Everything is on the table.”

Among the biggest changes is the exit of executive producer Ryan Kadro, who decided to leave months ago. An insider told the outlet that news of his exit becoming public the same day as the news that CBS reached a settlement with three of former “CBS This Morning” co-host Charlie Rose’s accusers was simply an “unfortunate coincidence,” but hasn’t stopped people from connecting Kadro to the settlements.

It’s Kadro’s exit — and the misrepresentation in the media of his decision to do so — that has left King unhappy with how things are being handled behind the scenes.

“Gayle is furious,” a source said. “She very much has had to hold everything together on the show. But she’s particularly upset that Ryan is leaving — and that he was mistakenly linked with the CBS payoffs.”

In fact, the real reason that Kadro is leaving his post is actually in line with what CBS wants: “Fresh blood and a total revamp.”

Gayle King Poised To Remain At 'CBS This Morning' With New Contract

If King exits, it would definitely represent a revamp for the flailing morning show — and CBS in general. Not only would it follow the high-profile exists of CEO Les Moonves and longtime “60 Minutes” chief Jeff Fager, but it also comes as other recent changes failed to turn things around. Though John Dickerson replacing Rose initially resulted in a ratings boom after Rose’s sexual misconduct scandal, the numbers have since dropped and, with a year left on her contract, King’s future is up in the air.

“It remains to be seen what she’ll do,” an insider explained. “And what her future is at CBS.”

Gayle King has co-hosted “CBS This Morning” since 2012.

Drew Carey Finally Reveals His “Price Is Right” Retirement Timeline – Fans Are Stunned!

Drew Carey knows he’s the right man for the job.

The television host, 65, discussed his future on “The Price Is Right” during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the CBS Fall Schedule Celebration on Thursday.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he said.

Carey has been hosting the beloved game show since 2007 when he took over from Bob Barker.

“I think Bob made a mistake by retiring,” Carey added. “I’m not gonna make that same mistake.”

“As long as my heart is ticking and they want me to be on the show, I think I’m gonna do ‘The Price Is Right.’ I just love it,” he said. “I think I was made for it.”

“The Price Is Right” is the longest-running game show in the US. It premiered in 1972 with Barker as host, a role he continued to fill for 35 years. His final episode aired on June 15, 2007.

Barker died in August 2023 at the age of 99 after battling Alzheimer’s disease.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce that the World’s Greatest MC who ever lived, Bob Barker, yubi has left us,” Barker’s longtime rep, Roger Neal, confirmed to The Post at the time.

Barker never publicly announced he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, but did star in a 2013 PSA for PETA which claimed not eating meat could help prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.

After Barker’s tragic death, Carey paid tribute to the late TV host in a statement that he shared on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Very sad day for the Price Is Right family, and animal lovers all over the world,” Carey wrote. “There hasn’t been a day on set that I didn’t think of Bob Barker and thank him. I will carry his memory in my heart forever. #RIPBobBarker We love you.”

Carey also raved about his predecessor a month after Barker’s death in an interview with ET on the “Price Is Right” set.

“He was so good at this,” Carey said in September 2023. “He was so good at relating to people and getting them to be relaxed and be themselves. You watch his demeanor and his attitude. He never seemed stressed.”

In that same interview, Carey shared how he’s improved as the show’s host.

“I’ve learned to relax while I’m onstage and not be so uptight about what’s going on,” he explained. “I just have to own the show and make it like my living room, because he was so comfortable in front of a camera.”

The Price Is Right viewers were left stunned after Thursday’s (December 12) episode when multiple contestants made incredible errors that cost them big prizes.

Despite long-time host Drew Carey explaining the rules throughout the episode, several contestants made mistakes that some fans couldn’t believe. This included two contestants on Bidder’s Row bidding the same amount and another contestant bidding “ten-hundred.”

The contestants who made it up to the stage didn’t fare much better. One contestant took on Safe Crackers yet didn’t understand that the numbers could only be used once each. Even after he won a TV, the contestant seemed surprised, telling Carey, “Oh, I did? Where is it?”

Another contestant played Push Over, where the player must push the blocks until the correct price is shown in the window. This contestant continued to push all the blocks to the end, ruining any chance of winning the game.

Across the episode, there was only one contestant who won their pricing game. A contestant called Linda participated in the game Do the Math, where the player must decide whether to add or subtract from the price of a prize on the left to equal the price of the prize on the right.

Linda’s prize items were a washer-dryer combo and a game table, and she had $869 to add or subtract from the washer-dryer price to match the game table’s price. She figured out the washer-dryer was worth more and subtracted the $869, meaning she walked away with both prizes.

Fans took to social media after the game to compliment Linda on being the only contestant to win their pricing game while blasting the other contestants for their “stupidity.”

“Linda was the only one who won her pricing game!” wrote one commenter on YouTube.

“Well, today’s show just didn’t go well at all with Do the Math being the only game won,” said another.

Another referred to the Push Over player as “the most stupidest contestant on today’s show,” writing, “What in the world was he thinking?”

Meanwhile, a fan on the Price Is Right Reddit forum wrote, “We’re not even done watching the episode and I had to pause the DVR and come on here to see if anyone else was overwhelmed with the idiocracy of today’s contestants. Were the normal contestant selector people sleeping on the job today?”

“I have never seen such stupidity before on this show, it was so bizarre and irritating,” replied one commenter. “It’s like either nobody was listening or haven’t watched the show which is always obvious. I think it’s disrespectful to Drew and everyone if they don’t watch the show, they don’t even deserve to get called up. This episode was awful!!”

Another added, “Some of the blame lies with the producers. They pick contestants with big energy regardless of whether they’re fans. I don’t mind a dumb contestant now and then but the show is better with people who know TPIR, IMO.”

“I couldn’t believe the Pushover contestant,” said one fan, while another replied, “The audience was screaming at him to stop. He was in his own little world.”

One commenter added, “I feel like they all want to go viral now rather than win a gameshow.”

Another YouTube commenter wrote, “One of the worst episodes of TPIR so far this season because of the contestants and their stupidity.”
