First Look! “Big Bang Theory” Creator Chuck Lorre Drops Explosive Trailer for His Next Must-Watch Sitcom!
Netflix Unveils First Trailer for The Big Bang Theory Co-Creator Chuck Lorre’s Next Sitcom
Sitcom mastermind Chuck Lorre is back at it with Leanne. Lorre, known for co-creating Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory, developed Leanne with Susan McMartin (Mom) and funnywoman Leanne Morgan. It is heavily based on the comedy of Leanne Morgan, the comedian whose stand-up special, I’m Every Woman, was a big hit on the Netflix streaming charts.
Leanne will premiere on Netflix on July 31, and now the show has gotten its first official trailer. It reveals the first footage of the new series, which will have 16 episodes in total for its freshman season. It’s a sitcom that picks up on a down note, starting after Leanne’s husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. However, fans should also still expect for there to be plenty of laughs, as Morgan’s character uses humor to cope with her emotions. Check out the new trailer below.
“This is something I’ve dreamed of since I was a little girl, and it was just as exciting as I imagined,” Morgan told Tudum about getting her own sticom, which has the added benefit of allowing her to put her own unique brand of comedy into it. “Learning a new medium was definitely a challenge — memorizing new scripts every week was totally new for me — but I loved it. As a stand-up, the comedic timing felt natural, and filming in front of a live audience was especially comfortable. By the end of the season, it really felt like home.”
Leanne Morgan’s Stand-Up Fans Will Love the Sitcom
Lorre added, “If you’ve seen even 10 seconds of Leanne Morgan’s stand-up, then you know what a unique comedic force she is. The theme of starting over is universal, and I cannot think of anyone better to combine heart and comedy than Leanne. I knew I had to work with her, and I’m so excited to bring this story to Netflix.”
The series also stars Kristen Johnson (Mom, The Righteous Gemstones) as Carol, Leanne’s sister. Other stars include Graham Rogers (Ray Donovan), Hannah Pilkes (Would I Lie to You), Ryan Stiles (Whose Line Is It Anyway?), Celia Weston (In the Bedroom), and Blake Clark (Toy Story 4). Morgan is executive producing alongside Lorre, McMartin, Nick Bakay, and Judi Marmel. Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. produces in association with Warner Bros. Television.
“It truly felt like I’d known them my whole life,” Morgan said of her co-stars. “There was an instant bond and chemistry that made it feel like family from day one. We still keep in touch, and I think that says a lot.”
Leanne will premiere on July 31, 2025, on Netflix. For fans of Morgan, Netflix has also ordered two more stand-up specials.
The Big Bang Theory IS CHANGED And It Was Never The Same After 2 Accidental Changes Overhauled The Show.
The Big Bang Theory was CBS’ top comedy throughout its 12 seasons, but two accidental changes in its storytelling led to a different path. While it has been over half a decade since the Pasadena gang said goodbye on-screen, Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady’s sitcom continues to be a fan-favorite. Aside from its thriving universe, with Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage heading for season 2 on CBS and Stuart Fails To Save The Universe coming to Max, The Big Bang Theory was 2024’s most binged show on streaming. Somehow, Sheldon and his friends’ antics are still enjoyable to watch.
Young Sheldon had its own charm as a family comedy, as it eventually outgrew its original premise as Sheldon’s origins story. Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage builds on what its parent show established, moving further away from The Big Bang Theory’s tone, despite also being a multi-camera sitcom. Ultimately, there’s just something special about the Pasadena gang that makes them easy to watch. Revisiting the show as a whole, however, certain details become more distinct, including how it changed over the years.
The Big Bang Theory Was A True Ensemble Show In Its First Seasons
Friendship Was The Main Theme Of The Big Bang Theory’s Beginning
When the nerd-centric spinoff started, it was patterned from true ensemble peer shows that became the staple of comedies in the ’90s and early 2000s, such as Friends, Seinfeld, and even How I Met Your Mother. Lorre and Prady’s comedy went through various iterations, with the original The Big Bang Theory pilot going through some changes before CBS officially greenlit the project. Despite the alterations, its core premise as a friend-group-focused show remained.
The Big Bang Theory maintained this storytelling approach during its earlier years. Narratives were focused on the group’s shenanigans, either at work or during their downtime. While Penny’s arrival introduced a romantic aspect of the show, she was incorporated in such a way that she also became everyone’s friend, regardless if she ends up with Leonard.
Bernadette & Amy’s Introduction Disrupted The Big Bang Theory’s Status Quo
Suddenly, Romances Became The Big Bang Theory’s Priority
Things changed, however, when The Big Bang Theory brought in Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik as Bernadette and Amy as series regulars. It’s worth noting that both were introduced in season 3, but both just in a guest-starring capacity, which meant that their stories were meant to only last for a few episodes. That said, when they were officially brought in as members of the cast, the overall composition of the show’s main players drastically changed. Instead of being primarily more about friends, suddenly, romances were at the forefront of The Big Bang Theory.
Incorporating Bernadette and Amy, who were clear romantic prospects for Sheldon and Howard, The Big Bang Theory had to explore those dynamics, which inevitably took away from other established plots in the show.
Leonard may have been pining over Penny during the first three years of The Big Bang Theory, but it was clear that it was the only long-term love narrative in the show. Both Howard and Raj were trying to date with very little success, while Sheldon didn’t have any interest in finding a partner. Incorporating Bernadette and Amy, who were clear romantic prospects for Sheldon and Howard, The Big Bang Theory had to explore those dynamics, which inevitably took away from other established plots in the show. Eventually, this became the norm until The Big Bang Theory‘s ending.
Why The Big Bang Theory Was Never The Same After Bernadette & Amy’s Arrival
Sheldon & Howard Were Forever Changed By Their Partners
Bernadette and Amy’s arrival changed the way The Big Bang Theory storylines are due to how they impacted the kind of narratives that their respective stories used to have. Much has been said about how problematic Howard was during the earliest years of the show, especially with the way he treated women. Being in a relationship with Bernadette changed him for the better.
Meanwhile, having a clear romantic partner helped pave the way for Sheldon to be The Big Bang Theory‘s unofficial lead. While his friendships with Leonard and Penny were still tackled, Amy became his automatic partner. There were even arguments that Sheldon should have won the Nobel Prize in Physics with Leonard to honor the show’s longest and arguably, most important relationship.

Tim Allen Brings Beloved “Home Improvement” Role Back — Fans Are Ecstatic!
We’re seeing double
While it’s not exactly an MCU crossover, worlds are about to collide on network television. Tim Allen will reprise his role as Home Improvement‘s Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor in an episode of Last Man Standing — and yes, Tim Taylor will shake hands with Allen’s Last Man Standing character, Mike Baxter.
Past will meet present when the Fox comedy returns for its ninth and final season in January.
Fox revealed a first look at the crossover in a preview for the final season, which shows Tim in a familiar Binford Tools shirt. He also shows off his signature grunts for Mike — who isn’t a big fan.
The jokes about Allen’s famous roles don’t stop there. Elsewhere in the preview, when Mike grows a beard, he comments, “I could play Santa.”
The episode featuring Tim Taylor is titled “Dual Time.” The logline teases, “The Baxters see double when Vanessa hires a home improvement repairman who bears an uncannily resemblance to Mike, who is struggling with an idea for his Outdoor Man 10th Anniversary vlog.” Mentally, we’re adding “wacky hijinks ensue” after that description. Will there be a manly men competition involving tools?
The ninth and final season of Last Man Standing premieres Sunday, Jan. 3 at 8:30/7:30c, then shifts to Thursdays at 9:30/8:30c on Jan. 7.
Congratulation! Reba’s Star Is Getting Married and She Had Reba McEntire & Melissa Peterman as Wedding Bridesmaids.
JoAnna García Swisher Had Reba McEntire & Melissa Peterman as Wedding Bridesmaids
The Happy’s Place stars stepped in big time for McEntire’s former TV daughter.
Some bonds between TV families will never be broken — just ask JoAnna García Swisher.
The actressshared the small screen alongside The Voice Coach Reba McEntire in the mid-2000s sitcom Reba, playing McEntire’s daughter — and during that time, they formed a beautiful real-life friendship that’s still strong today.
In an April 2025 interview with People, Swisher revealed that McEntire and fellow Reba co-star Melissa Peterman were bridesmaids in her 2010 wedding to New York Yankees star Nick Swisher.
Swisher explained that McEntire “stepped in” in a significant way in her own life after losing her own mom and dad.

McEntire being by the side of her TV daughter in her real-life wedding is on-brand for the queen of country. As Swisher told People, McEntire is “such an incredible human.”
“She’s just a girl that has big dreams … And so you see there’s like a very real humility, appreciation,” Swisher continued. “She is such a huge star, and she just still amazes me with her, you know, like, ‘I can’t believe this is happening to me’ vibe.”
McEntire has even impacted Swisher’s two daughters.
“The girls love her so much. She’s so good to my girls,” Swisher revealed. “I just told her, I was like, ‘You know, looking back on all those pictures in that time in my life, I was so lucky to be a working actress on a television show that was beloved, but also, you know, that I had, like, real people that cared about me and made sure I was safe.’”
As it turns out, there’s one more Reba star who is still close to Joanna García Swisher: Christopher Rich, who played her TV father. Rich officiated her 2010 wedding, which effectively doubled as a real-life Reba reunion.
Will JoAnna García Swisher appear on Happy’s Place?

Good news: Season 2 of NBC’s Happy’s Place — which stars McEntire and Peterman — looks like it could have a storyline involving McEntire’s former TV daughter.
During a May interview with Us Weekly, McEntire revealed that Swisher will “definitely” be part of a future episode.
“JoAnna is so busy. She’s producing, she’s got three movies and she’s [working on] Sweet Magnolias,” she said. “So she is a very busy lady, but she said she’d definitely be there.”
If her appearance comes to fruition, Joanna García Swisher would join Christopher Rich as another Reba alum who has guest-starred on McEntire’s current sitcom.
EXCLUSIVE: Reba McEntire Enlists a Cute (and Chaotic) New Co-Star for Latest Episode of Her Hilarious Sitcom-Style Realtor.com Campaign
Realtor.com
Award-winning country singer Reba McEntire is bringing a fresh dose of her comedic charm to the small screen—and this time, she’s teaming up with an adorable new co-star as she continues her mission to help every American find their dream home.
Having won over the hearts of homebuyers across the country with her debut campaign for Realtor.com® in May, the talented singer is back with another sitcom-style ad, enlisting the help of a fluffy friend to bring some joy to the house-hunting journey.
Enter Rhubarb, a spunky Boston terrier who stars alongside McEntire, 70, in “The One With the Zoomies,” the latest installment in the sitcom star’s Nearly HomeTM campaign, which highlights one of the many tools available to homebuyers (and their pets) on Realtor.com.
McEntire, who was raised on a farm and has made no secret of her love of animals over the years, knows better than many the importance of finding a dwelling that fits the needs of the buyer and their furry friends—particularly when it comes to securing a space that can accommodate even the most energetic of zoomies.
“The One With the Zoomies” stars one such couple, whose pet dog, played by Rhubarb, has outgrown their humble home and is desperate for a backyard around which she can zoom to her heart’s content—without driving her owners crazy in the process.
Reba McEntire is back with another hilarious episode of her sitcom-style Nearly Home campaign—and this time, she’s teaming up with an adorable new co-star as she continues her mission to help every American find their dream home.Realtor.comSpunky Boston terrier Rhubarb makes her on-screen debut in the new episode, which is titled “The One With the Zoomies.”Realtor.com
In the new episode, Rhubarb can be seen causing chaos as she runs wild around her home, leaping on and off the couch, and crashing into objects, prompting her owner to declare: “This place ain’t big enough for the three of us!”
Just as Rhubarb’s owners are reaching their breaking point, McEntire arrives to reveal how the duo can find a more suitable abode to fit their needs and their pet’s, telling the couple: “Looks like y’all got a case of the zoomies.”
She then urges the stressed-out pair to check out RealView® Maps on Realtor.com, a powerful tool that helps homebuyers compare properties by lot size—enabling them to see which dwellings offer the most space for their money, an essential asset for anyone hoping to expand their pet’s horizons.
Speaking to Realtor.com, Rhubarb’s real-life owner and trainer, Emily Allred, emphasized the importance for all pet owners of finding a home that can comfortably accommodate your favorite furry friend—whether you’re shopping for a property with ample backyard space or seeking a dream apartment in a densely populated city.
Allred, who owns seven dogs and three cats, explained that it’s important to take into consideration what each breed and animal might need, whether that’s a huge backyard, a cozy nook in which to nap, or—as in Rhubarb’s case—plenty of fresh fruit to play with.
“We have a garden with blueberries, and [Rhubarb] loves to try to eat the blueberries,” she revealed. “She also loves to pick up the figs as they fall, then run around with them. She doesn’t want to eat them; she just likes to run around with them. She thinks they’re like a natural toy!”
When Rhubarb isn’t busy fetching or feasting on fruit, Allred said, she has two other big passions in life: sleeping and greeting guests at the door.
In the campaign, Rhubarb’s owners have reached their breaking point as they struggle to find a home that suits their needs—and their dog’s.Realtor.comLuckily, real estate expert McEntire is on hand to guide them to RealView Maps on Realtor.com, a tool that helps homebuyers compare properties by lot size.Realtor.comRhubarb, who is deaf, has ample space to run around in her own home, where she loves eating and playing with fresh fruit, her owner revealed.Realtor.com
“She loves meeting new people, so she loves when we have people over. She’s a big Walmart greeter, she loves to make new friends. There’s nothing that makes her sad,” Allred shared.
As for Rhubarb’s on-screen talents, her owner said she knew from the get-go that the pup was destined to be a star—despite the fact that the Boston terrier was born deaf.
“We ended up getting her because she was deaf, and so the home that wanted her backed out,” Allred revealed. “But it’s never gotten her down. It’s never been a problem. She has been one of the most delightful dogs I’ve ever trained.”
What’s more, Rhubarb’s disability has never prevented her from living life to the fullest—or from pursuing an on-screen career, which she’s kicking off in “The One With the Zoomies.”
“Most of the time when I tell people she’s deaf, they’re like, ‘Are you sure?’” Allred added. “She’s just a good dog.”
An in honor of all “good dogs,” Realtor.com is launching a new giveaway that will see one lucky pet owner winning a custom-built luxury dog house from renowned home builder Taylor Morrison.
However Rhubarb’s campaign debut is not the only new Nearly Home episode making its way onto screens this month. McEntire is also starring in a second spot, “The One With the Statement Wall,” in which she lends a helping hand to homebuyers seeking a property that is more conveniently located to “whatever is close to your heart.”
McEntire also takes center stage in another campaign, which helps homebuyers find a property that is located close to all of their favorite places.Realtor.comRather than creating a true-crime-style evidence map, McEntire encourages house hunters to use RealCommute, which helps buyers filter commute times between a potential property and any other location.Realtor.com
In this episode, our stressed-out house hunters are desperate to find a new dwelling that will provide them with access to their favorite places, from good schools to their go-to workout classes.
However, that quest has not proven easy, with the duo going to great lengths to locate this dream abode—even constructing a true-crime-style evidence map to locate the best area.
Thankfully, McEntire is once again on hand to provide them with a much simpler solution: RealCommute®, a tool that helps homebuyers filter commute times from potential properties to any location they choose, without the need for any in-depth detective work.
The latest installments in the Nearly Home series come two months after McEntire made her debut as the new face of Realtor.com, a role that she previously explained was a very natural fit.
Homebuying “is not only a serious subject, but it’s also something that is very near and dear to our heart,” she revealed to Realtor.com. “People are putting up their hard-earned money, their savings, and they want to find the right place.
“[Things like] the backyard, the front yard, the closeness of a school or a church of their choice, all of those things come into play. And if one is not there, it’s like a little piece missing from the puzzle of the pie.”

Vanna White Drops The F-Bomb On Live TV
On the January 22 episode of Wheel Of Fortune, viewers had a mix of emotions with surprising moments, including a potential slip of the tongue by Vanna White that quickly caught fans’ attention. The episode was the show’s Winter Wonderland Week, in the episode was a featured skiing segment with hosts Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White in Park City, Utah. In the video, Ryan tumbles down the slope off-camera, and White’s shocked reaction led many fans to believe she may have dropped an F-bomb.
After watching the footage closely, several fans and viewers went on Reddit, convinced that Vanna had used profanity. One fan wrote “Did Vanna say what I think she said? I swear she says the F word!” Other fans agreed with the post, suggesting it was impossible to hear it as anything else. Some fans watched the clip over and over again to be sure, with one person jokingly saying “I keep trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she said ‘Duck’, but nope!” However, others pointed out that the closed captions read “Look,” which would be a less controversial explanation. The debate over what Vanna said is still being talked about on social media. Vanna White-YouTube
Vanna’s Clothing Style Changed
As the debate is still ongoing, fans also noticed White’s more casual outfit. She is known for her glamorous dresses and gowns, but Vanna surprised viewers by wearing pants on the show instead. The change in the wardrobe led to reactions from fans who had never seen her dress casually before. A viewer said they have “Never seen Vanna White not in a gown.” The game itself did feature a major comeback by contestant Kira Tebbe from Washington, D.C.

Kira then went on to the Bonus Round puzzle in the “phrase” category. With the letters she was given and the ten-second timer counting down, she got the answer pretty quickly, the correct phrase was “Take Your Time.” Her winning the round got her a brand new Ford Bronco Sport which is worth $41,655. Drew Carey Rushes to Console Tearful Contestant Overwhelmed by “Price Is Right” Nerves!
Price Is Right player refuses to look at game result due to fears as audience applauds
A recent Price Is Right contestant refused to look at the results of her game as host Drew Carey revealed them, but fans applauded her
The Price Is Right player celebrates after winning car
A recent Price Is Right contestant was too nervous to look at the results of her game as host Drew Carey revealed them, but fans applauded her.
During the June 6 episode of the hit CBS game show, contestant Cheryl, who wore a poofy red tulle skirt and a homemade shirt that said: “Pick Me, Pick Me. I’m Ready to Come on Down,” made it to the stage to meet Carey after guessing the nearest retail price of bespoke Helen Ficalora jewelry.
Announcer George Gray told the contestant, whose shirt also featured her bucket list for the game, including winning tickets, a spin on the wheel, and the Showcase, that she’d win a brand new 2025 Hyundai Kona SEL if she won a game of One Away.
One Away requires players to guess a number of either greater or lesser value than the displayed number on the board.
In Cheryl’s game, the numbers on the board were in the order of $38,216, which could’ve been the price of the new SUV.
With some support and guidance from the studio audience, the contestant began to guess the actual price of the car, changing the first number to two, followed by a seven, one, zero, and seven.
In feverish anticipation, Cheryl thought she won the game and exclaimed, “I got it!” However, Carey reminded her the round wasn’t over yet. “We don’t know yet. These aren’t right automatically as soon as we flip them over,” he said.
Cheryl then had to ask the sound effects lady to confirm how many of the board’s numbers were correct. After repeating the numbers in a sequence, she learned that she had three right.
The contestant then had the opportunity to change two numbers to reveal the right price. She first chose to change the first number to a three and then the middle number from seven to nine.
She also requested to change the last digit to five, which resulted in the final price becoming $27,305.
Cheryl quickly asked if she could close her eyes before Carey revealed whether she won or not. “Can I look that way?” she said.
She covered her eyes and turned her back on the audience as Carey slowly revealed if each number was correct, and all of them were, meaning the player walked away with the new car.
Unfortunately, Cheryl didn’t fulfill her entire bucket list, as she missed out on winning the Showcase Round.
Players Brenda and Brady battled it out in the Showcase, with Brady bidding $35k on a trip to Vienna and a sedan.
Brenda bid $25k on designer sunglasses, a trip to the Maldives, and a boat, but Brady ended up winning.
Still, fans were more interested in Cheryl’s winning after the game show posted her big moment on their Instagram.
Many congratulated her in the comments section and also praised her adorable reaction.
“Her not looking was one of the cutest things I’ve seen in my life! I’m so glad she won,” one person wrote.
“I’m so happy she was she was so cute,” another added, as a third said: “I’m so impressed she did so well!!”
A fourth praised: “I love her she’s the cutest! So happy for her,” as a fifth commended: “She deserves this BIG WIN.”
Yet another gushed: “This was so exciting to watch yesterday!!”
Drew Carey’s Emotional Send-Off to a “Price Is Right” Favorite Leaves Fans Deeply Moved
Drew Carey emotional over Price Is Right crew ‘who taught him every single game’
Drew Carey’s heartfelt farewell to a beloved team member on The Price is Right left fans teary-eyed.
Drew Carey broke down in tears during a recent episode of The Price is Right as he said goodbye to Scott Robinson, a longtime team member who played a crucial role in training the host when he first joined the show.
“When I first started the show and I was learning all the games, Scott was my contestant for every single game. He taught me every single game on The Price is Right, all 70-plus of them. He knows everything about ‘The Price is Right’ there is.”
“I love this guy so much, and this is his last show. I love you so much,” Carey said while choking up.
The two embraced immediately after Carey’s emotional tribute.
Robinson had served as Carey’s practice contestant during the host’s early days on the show, helping him learn the intricacies of the program’s many games.
The heartfelt moment resonated with fans, who shared their reactions online.
“Aw, that was sweet. I’m sure Drew saw him as a kind of mentor and valued him as a friend.
Props to Drew for being a real man and showing actual emotion,” one viewer commented on YouTube.
Another added: “Awww, that’s so endearing. It’s nice to see people not afraid to show they give a crap about someone else.”
This isn’t the first time Carey has shown his emotional side on the popular game show.
In another touching episode, Carey made a young fan named Carter’s dreams come true, creating another memorable moment for viewers.
Carter, displaying remarkable poise on stage, had brought a letter he’d written for the veteran host.
“How are you feeling? I went to CBS Studios with my mom, I watched people play games, we did everything I wanted…I watched them play The Price is Right…this is a letter of the future. We did so much stuff together, I wish I could watch the Showcase Showdown and spin the wheel. It was so cool. I hope you write me back soon. Your friend, Carter,” Carey read aloud.
After reading the letter, Carey hugged Carter, drawing loud cheers from the studio audience.
“God bless Drew Carey,” one fan commented online after the heartwarming exchange.
The game show’s set is known for its energetic and competitive atmosphere, where contestants’ over-the-top celebrations are common.
However, these emotional moments have added depth to the program’s appeal.
Carey’s visible emotion during Robinson’s departure underscored the close relationships formed behind the scenes of the long-running show.
Robinson’s exit marked the end of an era for Carey, who had grown accustomed to seeing his mentor on set daily.

Kim Kardashian is ‘at the top of the list’ to replace Wheel of Fortune’s Vanna White as she ‘would bring a new audience’

Vanna has been working with Ryan, 49, as they film new episodes of Wheel of Fortune, which will return this fall.
Things between the new co-hosts aren’t going well, according to Life & Style.
A source told the outlet that the duo is struggling to find their rhythm on set.
Producers are scrambling to find someone to fill Vanna’s shoes, and Kim, 43, is reportedly at the top of the list.
Vanna has co-hosted Wheel of Fortune since 1982.
“They’ve compiled a list of folks to replace Vanna, and Kim Kardashian is at the top,” the insider said.
“Kim is a very close friend of Ryan’s and would bring a whole new audience.
“Ryan wants to make the show younger and sexier. He’s responsible for the Kardashian reality show and believes in that family more than anyone!”
According to the source, Vanna was hopeful that she and Ryan could fall into the same rhythm she and Pat Sajak had.
“After Pat quit, Vanna was optimistic about working with Ryan, but they have zero chemistry and no vibe,” the insider said.
Wheel of Fortune fans reject Ryan Seacrest and rage ‘boo!’ as he stars in high-energy new promo with Vanna White
“Plus, she could be his mother!”
The source told Life & Style that no formal offer has been made to Kim.
However, those close to the Kardashians star say it’s an opportunity she would seriously consider.
Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline
Although Pat and Vanna have been a staple on the game show for decades, there have been other hosts
Chuck Woolery was the host from 1975 to 1981
He co-hosted alongside Susan Stafford (1975 to 1982)
Vanna White then stepped in as hostess in 1982 and has been ever since
After a contract and salary dispute, the show got rid of Chuck and brought in Pat in 1982
Pat hosted with Susan for one season
He then left the game show in 1989 to host a late-night talk show for CBS
For five months, NFL player Rolf Benirschke took his place
In July 1989, Bob Goen hosted the show on CBS
He hosted for a year and a half until the show was canceled in 1991
The show was then moved to ABC with Pat and Vanna hosting for the foreseeable future
In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest as quickly named as his replacement
WHEEL BIG PROMOTION
While it’s been reported that Vanna is considering leaving the show, some fans believe she should leave her role for a new one rather than retire like Pat.
Longtime Wheel of Fortune viewers have called for Vanna to take over as host and replace Ryan on the show.
Many viewers have been outspoken about not wanting Ryan to continue hosting the game show.
“Why didn’t they make her the host and have some beefcake dude in short shorts turning the letters?” one fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
They quote tweeted a post about Vanna and Ryan struggling to work together.
“They legit should do that for one episode. The internet would explode,” another fan replied.
CHEMISTRY STRUGGLES
While Wheel of Fortune is on summer break, Vanna and Ryan have been hard at work filming new episodes.
The pair reportedly don’t “jibe,” however, The Daily Mail reported.
A source shared similar claims to Life & Style’s report, telling The Mail that Vanna plans to “retire.”
“Vanna is retiring from the show when her contract ends, but there is a part of her that wants to walk away sooner,” an insider shared with the outlet.
“She just doesn’t jibe with Ryan like she did with Pat, and no one really ever expected her to. There is just no way that she possibly could.”
The outlet’s source said that Vanna feels she has put in her time.
“She devoted her entire life to this show and she had an incredible run while making a fortune,” the insider said.
“She knows that the show needs to go in a different direction and appeal to a younger demographic. She wants the show to continue.”
The source said that to do that, Vanna feels the show needs a younger co-host – someone closer to Ryan’s age.

The three contestants wrote their answers to ‘U.S National Parks. Much of this 73-square-mile National Park is located beneath the Chihuahuan Desert.’
But it was a finish that left fans wanting to “walk off the set” as they revealed their answers.
As host Ken Jennings asked them for their responses, one of the contestants wrote down, “What is Arches?”
It was the wrong answer, leading his $12,000 dollars to plummet to just $2.
Next up, the contestant in the middle went for the answer of, “What is Carlsbad?”
Again, it was a wrong answer and so her $13,600 went down to $600.
Finally, the last player revealed his answer, which was, “What is Carlsbad Cavrans?”
But he made a small mistake, in what fans have called an unfair show rule.
The ‘r’ was before the vowel, which changed the pronunciation of the word, meaning he lost.
Jeopardy! fans demand major rule change to shake up format as show has ‘gone downhill’ with ‘carousel’ of one-day champs
Ken said caverns with an ‘er’ they would’ve taken, because the answer was Carlsbad Caverns.
As a result, his money went from $13,600 to $0.
As he lost everything, the female contestant who had $600 ended up being the Jeopardy! champion.
She looked delighted, if not a little in disbelief, and fans were gobsmacked by the result.
Jeopardy! Set Secrets
Jeopardy! fans don’t see everything behind the scenes from watching on TV. These hidden set features make the show run smoothly:
Each podium has a hidden riser so that all contestants appear to be the same height.
After each clue is read, signal lights go off around the game board, indicating players can buzz in and respond.
Buzz in too early, and you’re locked out for .25 seconds.
The podiums have a small white light in the lower left corner, which tells Ken Jennings who goes next.
Contrary to popular belief, the player with control doesn’t have a buzzer advantage on the next clue.
To the game board’s left is a scoreboard so the players can see their opponents’ scores.
All contestants must bring three outfits to the studio, but only the host and returning champion change for the next episode.
There are wardrobe rules, including restrictions on busy patterns, solid white, purple (like the background), and logos.
Five episodes are taped in a single day, and sometimes more.
The categories, players (aside from the returning champion), and Final Jeopardy! for a tape day are all drawn randomly to ensure fairness.
Female contestants are asked not to wear makeup, which is applied backstage, and don’t wear mascara because of sweat.
Contestants fill out a questionnaire, and producers select five Q&A topics for the host.
Host Ken isn’t allowed to interact with the contestants until after the game.
Players can request to sit in a chair while competing without question.
One person wrote on X, “I simply would have to walk off the stage.”
Others called it the “most painful final” they’d ever seen on the show, and someone else wrote, “Really fun, close game, but man that final Jeopardy was an absolutely brutal way to lose. You’ve got to feel bad for Jacob.”
Someone else commented, “Oh my god. What a brutal ending,” and another penned, “Oh my god. What a brutal ending.”
The brutal ending comes after a Jeopardy! contestant in the UK made history after scooping one of the daytime show’s biggest ever wins.
In May, viewers watched as hotel receptionist Ben Jones continued the game, competing against Jonathan and Rosemary.
From Caerphilly, Ben was already a nine-day reigning champion before his major win.
In the final round, host Stephen asked a question based on the category Classic 80s Films.
He said, “Matthew Broderick starred in the title role of the 1980s comedyfilm ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’, directed by this man.”
Ben, 23, correctly answered, “Who is John Hughes?”
His impressive knowledge saw him walk away with a jackpot prize of £64,530 – the largest win for all Jeopardy! series and one of the biggest wins on daytime TV.
Stephen congratulated Ben as he brought the curtain down on the last episode of the series.
