It’s been almost two years since Last Man Standing came to an end, and some fans are still missing their weekly dose of the Baxter family. While there are no signs of the beloved sitcom returning (again), one of its stars is returning to TV with an all-new series, and it looks so good.

Nancy Travis, who starred alongside Tim Allen as Vanessa Baxter, is returning to the small-screen in an all-new role on the Hallmark Channel series, Ride. She’s once again the matriarch of a family, but this time, the plot is very different.

Nancy stars as Isabel McMurray, the mother of three grown sons who heads up a renowned ranching family in Colorado. When tragedy strikes, Isabel must pick up the pieces and keep her family business going, all while dealing with her grief.

Nancy shared the trailer with her followers on Instagram, and they left supportive messages, like “Looks sooo good 👏🏼👏🏼 gave me chills” and “I’m so looking forward to this and something new to watch! ❤️❤️❤️.”

The series also stars Tiera Skovbye (Riverdale), Beau Mirchoff (Good Trouble), Sara Garcia (The Flash), Jake Foy (Designated Survivor), and Tyler Jacob Moore (Shameless).

All in the Family is more than just the only sitcom where “Dingbat” was a term of endearment. The Norman Lear-created series, which had its proper debut in 1971, ran for nine wildly popular seasons — five of which saw it crowned the number one show in the country. Following the adventures of the boorish Archie Bunker (Carroll O’Connor), his sweet wife Edith (Jean Stapleton), their feisty daughter Gloria (Sally Struthers), and son-in-law Mike, better known as “Meathead” (Rob Reiner), in a rapidly-changing working class neighborhood in Queens, All in the Family broke ground examining topics  — while still always staying hilarious.

Sadly, many of the show’s cast members have passed away — O’Connor died in 2001 at age 76 from a heart attack due to complications from diabetes, Stapleton died in 2013 at age 90, and famous supporting actors like Sherman Hemsley, Isabel Sanford, and Bea Arthur have also passed away. However, a number of the show’s stars are not only still with us, but went on to great things long after Archie Bunker sat in his chair for the last time.

Struthers was just 24 when she landed the role of the Bunker family’s only child, but she already had a Hollywood resume: she’d  appeared alongside Jack Nicholson and Karen Black in 1970’s Five Easy Pieces, and had been a cast member on The Tim Conway Comedy Hour. She got fired from Conway’s variety show after only a few months — the network heads, she said in a 2017 interview, didn’t get the show’s sense of humor and thought an ongoing gag with Struthers playing the show’s only dancer made “the show look cheap.” That moment of bad fortune turned out to be a stroke of good luck, as it freed Struthers to land the role of Gloria, who loves her father as much as she battles him and his retrograde worldview.

Struthers, who initially felt the role was flat, eventually won two Emmys for the role. During her time on the show, she also appeared in the 1972 Steve McQueen film The Getaway, and the 1977 made-for-TV film Intimate Strangers, one of the first depictions of domestic violence on television.

After briefly starring in her own All in the Family spin-off, 1982’s Gloria, Struthers took over one of the lead roles on the sitcom adaptation of Nine to Five in 1986, spending two seasons playing the role originated by Lily Tomlin in the 1980 film. She also became an accomplished voice actor — ’90s kids may recall her as the vocal talents behind Charlene Sinclair, the sassy teen daughter on the Jim Henson sitcom Dinosaurs, and Rebecca Cunningham, the businesswoman bear on the Disney cartoon TaleSpin.

Though Struthers spent much of the ’80s and ’90s working primarily as a vocal actor, she did show up on the small screen fairly regularly — as a spokesperson for charity the Christian Children’s Fund, and as a pitchwoman for ICS, a correspondence school (if you watched a lot of daytime TV in the ’90s, your brain is probably already reciting Struthers’ infomercial catchphrase: “Do you want to make more money? Sure, we all do!”)

In the 2000s, Struthers moved back into live action TV, appearing as Babette Dell in over 50 episodes of Gilmore Girls. In 2025, she co-starred in the Netflix mystery dramedy A Man on the Inside, where she played a senior living facility resident who had the hots for fellow retiree Ted Danson.

    Rob Reiner, 78

Reiner’s journey from playing Archie Bunker’s frequent adversary to becoming one of the most celebrated film directors of his generation isn’t that crazy when you realize he’s the eldest child of comedy legend Carl Reiner — but it’s still pretty impressive to remember that the man behind some of the greatest films of the ’80s and ’90s began his career as “Meathead.”

Reiner started out in his twenties with small roles on shows like That Girl, as well as writing on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, alongside a young Steve Martin. All in the Family was his biggest acting role — and although he won two Emmys while working on the show, soon after it wrapped, he decided to change his focus to directing.

After debuting as a director with 1984’s This Is Spinal Tap, Reiner went on to helm some of the most enduring films of the next decade, including The Princess BrideWhen Harry Met Sally…A Few Good MenMisery, and Stand By Me. Reiner has been nominated for four Golden Globes for Best Director over the course of his career, but never won.

His post-2ooo film output wasn’t quite as iconic as his earlier movies, but he has continued to work, with Spinal Tap II: The End Continues scheduled for release in September 2025. He also still periodically makes appearances as an actor — often in his own films or playing himself on TV shows, though he did appear on 10 episodes of the comedy series New Girl, as father to Zooey Deschanel‘s Jess Day.

    Danielle Brisebois, 55

A late addition to the show, Brooklyn native Brisebois began her career at the age of seven, appearing on an episode of Kojak and the original Broadway production of Annie. She joined the series in its ninth season as the daughter of Edith’s cousin, who has abandoned the little girl to the Bunkers’ care. She continued to appear on four seasons of the 1979 spin-off Archie Bunker’s Place, and received a Golden Globe nomination for her work on the show in 1982.

After that show ended, Brisebois had a multi-episode arc on Knots Landing, and guest spots on The Love Boat and Mr. Belvedere. However, by the end of the decade, she decided acting wasn’t for her, and switched her focus to music — a smart decision, as the late ’90s saw her band, the New Radicals, skyrocket to fame. She can be seen jamming out on the keyboard in the video for their top 40 hit, “You Get What You Give,” which received heavy MTV rotation in 1998.

Brisebois has experienced major success in her second career, penning Natasha Bedingfield‘s hits “Unwritten” and “Pocketful of Sunshine,” and creating music for the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Kylie Minogue, Donna Summer, and many others. In 2015, she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song for “Lost Stars,” from the film Begin Again — a tune she wrote with former New Radicals band member Gregg Alexander, who is still a frequent collaborator.

Grantchester Season 10: Drops Major Family Twist for Geordie, He Gets Big Trouble

‘Grantchester’ Drops Major Family Twist for Geordie — How Will He Respond?

Robson Green as Geordie Keating in 'Grantchester' Season 10 Episode 2

    Spoiler Alert

    PBS

[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for Grantchester Season 10 Episode 2.]

Grantchester Season 10 may be set in 1962, but its second installment dove into issues of race and gender expression that are timely for today. Vicar Alphy Kottaram (Rishi Nair) and Detective Inspector Geordie Keating’s (Robson Green) case brought up a sensitive topic for the vicar and one of their suspects, an Indian woman combatting racism and sexism in the workplace but taking high-risk measures to succeed. Meanwhile, Geordie was hit with an unexpected twist involving his young son, David (Carter-Jae O’Neil), and the father failed to meet the important moment. Green previously teased to TV Insider that “past belief systems come to the surface, and that’s difficult for him to deal with” in Season 10, and that has come to pass with his son in this episode.

The case of the week involved a murdered university student whose death was made to look like an accident. She was killed by accident, as it turned out, but it wasn’t by her boyfriend, Peter Grayson (Joseph Potter), whom Alphy and Geordie thought might have been involved due to his connections to a gang, nor was it angry science Professor Aldo (Guy Henry), who was caught screaming at Professor Joshi (Maya Sondhi) for publishing her scientific findings before he did. Joshi wasn’t guilty of murder, but she was guilty of plagiarizing Aldo. But as it turned out, his results were doctored, which was wrong of him to do. But the key difference was that he didn’t publish the false findings, which explained his fiery display of dissent in her classroom earlier in the episode.

While explaining the racism she experiences at work, Joshi doubted that being a vicar allowed Alphy the space to truly embrace his heritage. But he explained that he didn’t convert to the Anglican religion like she assumed. He “chose this” and “grew up with it,” he said. “Bible stories before bed every night.”

“You think that what the church has made you into, that’s true to who you really are?” Joshi questioned.

“This is who I am,” Alphy replied.

“It doesn’t get more quintessentially British than the vicar of a quaint little village,” she went on. “You’ll tell me next that your police friend accepts you, too.”

Alphy defended his work partner, saying that, “Geordie’s a good man.” Joshi replied, “He’s using you. Walking around with a handsome Indian vicar, everyone assuming he’s moral and accepting and not the fist of the status quo. Raised by the church. Seeing the world through their eyes. You trust all the wrong people…I wish you could see how much you’ve been skewed.” She later admitted that she was projecting her own struggles onto the vicar. But Geordie did have a very small-minded moment in his own home near the episode’s end.

After the case had been solved, Geordie arrived home to the sound of music playing in the TV room. When he went to see who was playing that “racket,” as he called it, he walked in to see his 10-year-old son twirling around the room in a dress covered in yellow flowers, seemingly belonging to one of his sisters. Geordie scared David with his angry response.

    PBS

“What the hell are you playing at? Get that off. You’re not a bloody girl!” he sternly said. David ran out of the room in fear.

It’s no surprise that a parent in 1962 would have a reaction such as this, but it’s sad to see how even this one interaction is clearly going to impact young David in a negative way. The boy was having fun and feeling good when dancing around the room in the dress before his dad walked in, making clear that this made him feel good. But now, with his father’s angry reaction, David could fear being himself around his dad. Hopefully, Geordie evolves for the better as Grantchester Season 10 goes on. This will certainly be one of his biggest challenges of parenthood yet.

Outside of work for Alphy, his courtship of Meg (Christie Russell-Brown) continued but hit an unexpected roadblock when he found out that her father is Bishop Aubrey Grey (Stuart Bowman), with whom he shares a troubled history at work. Meg insisted that she had no idea her father tried to make Alphy lose his job in the past, but Alphy got stuck in his defensiveness and didn’t fully believe her at first. He made up for the lack of trust in her honesty at the episode’s end with an apology and the following through on his promise to take her on a proper picnic. Alphy used to find reasons to give up on women quickly with past romantic prospects. Working it out with Meg shows that his feelings for her, while new, are serious.

Emotional Confession: ‘Reba’ actor Christopher Rich Leaves Fans Weeping After Heart-Wrenching Revelation of Stroke and Brain Injury Battle.

Christopher Rich, who played Brock on ‘Reba,’ will reunite with Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman on their new show ‘Happy’s Place’

Reba McEntire shares it's important to have fun because 'life's too short' to just sit there and 'be miserable'

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Seven years after he suffered a massive stroke and was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, former “Reba” star Christopher Rich is getting back into acting.

“I’ve basically taken the last decade off and if anybody was going to drag me out of the dark corner of the closet it would be the redhead,” Rich, who played Reba McEntire’s ex-husband on the 2001 to 2007 sitcom, joked to Entertainment Tonight of the country star on Wednesday.

Rich will play a local tattoo artist with a twisted sense of humor about the fact that he’s had a stroke and can’t use his left hand on McEntire’s new show “Happy’s Place.”

He told Us Weekly he was also excited to play a disabled character on the show.

Chris Rich with Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman in 2003

“It’s great to be able to be a disabled person and play a disabled person,” he said. “I’m hoping that when some of this gets out there, that people that I’ve worked with in the past are going to say, ‘OK, let’s bring him back. We can work with him.’”

He said despite everything, he’s feeling “really good.”

“After my stroke and having a brain injury, it is like I got hit with an atomic bomb,” Rich told Us Weekly. “So, it all gets traumatized, and it is a hard reset. After I finally got out of the hospital, I was moving around again. Then I threw a bunch of blood clots and ended up in the hospital with lung embolisms and debris on my heart. After surviving all of that crap, I’m feeling really, really good.”

The guest spot will serve as a reunion of sorts with Rich, McEntire and her “Happy’s Place” co-star Melissa Peterman, who also played Barbra Jean, the woman Rich’s character Brock left McEntire for on “Reba.”

“I needed some place where I could feel safe to really try and trot this broken body out again and they made the place,” Rich told Entertainment Tonight.

    Chris Rich on "Happy's Place"

Rich also credited McEntire and Peterman with getting him out of his house after his stroke.

“I feel so bizarre recovering from this stroke thing that I didn’t even want to go out of my house for a lot of the time, but, you know, they’ve got me back out,” he told Entertainment Tonight of McEntire, Peterman, and McEntire’s boyfriend and co-star Rex Linn. “They would invite me to parties and reunion things, football games, yeah. I spent a lot of time at her and Rex’s place watching the Longhorns.”

“There’s magic here,” Peterman said of the chemistry between the three of them.

    The cast of "Reba"

McEntire also commended Rich for going in front of the camera again after his injury.

“It wasn’t easy for him to come back and do this with a group that has known him 25 years,” she told Entertainment Tonight, “but for him to have the courage to come do this and make everybody feel so comfortable – he did have a stroke and he’s back acting and that gives such inspiration to other people. You can do that.”

Rich added, “I was ready to [quit acting,] but now I’m back in the race. I’m going to get to the finish line. I may have to limp across it, but I’m getting there.”

Rich has said in the past that he suffered his stroke Easter morning in 2018, which made it hard for him to walk, talk and use the left side of his body.

‘Happy Days’ foursome first public REUNION in over 50 years

‘Happy Days’ aired on ABC for 10 years, from 1974 to 1984

Anson Williams recalls ‘Happy Days’ co-star Don Most's best man speech at his wedding

“Happy Days” stars came together for the first time in decades.

During a panel at Steel City Con in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ron Howard, Henry Winkler, Anson Williams and Don Most reunited in public for the first time in 50 years and walked onto the stage with loud cheers from the audience.

“It feels like 50 minutes,” Howard can be heard saying in an Instagram video posted on the event’s official page. “It does. We’re having so much fun hanging, and this is sort of our great excuse to come together, so thank you.”

The foursome starred on the popular family-friendly sitcom together from 1974 to 1984, except for Howard, who left the show in 1980 after its seventh season. The show followed the Cunningham family and their close friends in Milwakee, Wisconsin, throughout the 1950s and 60s.

Henry Winkler, Ron Howard, Anson Williams and Don Most on "Happy Days" in 1975.

At the event, Winkler reflected on the 11 seasons he spent working on the show, crediting the show’s creator, Garry Marshall, for being a “brilliant creator” and “great writer” who put together a “wonderful cast.”

“Some of them, unfortunately, are no longer on the Earth with us, but we played together, we stayed together, and we worked hard together,” Winkler said about the relationships between the show’s cast. “Nobody thought they were better than anybody else.”

Howard echoed Winkler’s sentiment, explaining “that was a huge key” to the show’s success, and that as time went on, “the show evolved as, really, an ensemble.”

“It was a life experience that’s unlike anything else that I’ve ever known,” he said. “And we had great chemistry. We had fun working together from the beginning, and it never failed us.”

Henry Winkler smiling wearing a beige blazer and a light blue shirt.

Prior to the panel, Winkler spoke with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette about how happy he was to reunite with his former cast mates publicly, noting that while “this is the first time that we will be together in a public setting” in the past 50 years, they have seen each other and “been together.”

He also reiterated how instrumental Marshall was in the success of the show, sharing he “would not let bad behavior into the set” and brought the cast together.

“No matter who you were, no matter what, you were part of an ensemble. Everybody respected each other. Then, he created a softball team, and we played every Sunday. Then we traveled all over the country. Then we traveled all over the world.”

In a separate Instagram post shared on the events page, the four men can be seen posing for photos while holding a certificate. The caption explained the certificates signify the declaration by the President of Allegheny County Council that April 5 will now be known as Happy Days Day in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

WHEEL of Fortune social media correspondent Maggie Sajak could end up taking over Ryan Seacrest’s hosting job if he doesn’t sign a new contract.

Ryan, 49, took over Maggie’s dad Pat’s longtime job this fall after the iconic star hosted the game show for over 40 years.

Despite her beloved dad’s departure, Maggie, 29, has remained on Wheel of Fortune in her role as social media correspondent.

Maggie has proven popular with viewers, and has created buzz for the show through her use of Instagram and TikTok.

“It’s important to allow Maggie to develop her own voice when it comes to the Wheel fan base, and that makes her incredibly valuable to Sony TV,” an insider told The U.S. Sun.

“Because the whole point of bringing in Ryan Seacrest was to reach more young people.”

    UNCERTAIN FUTURE

As The U.S. Sun previously reported, Ryan’s arrival on the show has brought a major boost in ratings.

But he has only reportedly signed an official contract for two years, leaving Wheel of Fortune’s future uncertain.

“Sony loves the ratings and wants to negotiate a much longer contract for Ryan, but right now they have to have contingency plans in place in case Ryan simply decides to move on,” the insider claimed.

“Maggie has positioned herself to help out if there’s a hosting vacancy, and the franchise is in her blood and her appreciation for the world of Wheel of Fortune is genuine.”

Whether Ryan stays or goes, Wheel of Fortune execs hope to keep Maggie on the show for years to come.

“Maggie’s already proven herself to be a super-valuable member of the Wheel family, especially during this time of transition,” the insider said.

    LAWYER LIFE

In addition to her job on Wheel of Fortune, Maggie also recently became a licensed attorney.

“Thank you to everyone who supported me through this journey,” she proudly posted in November.

“Excited to do some good with this in the future.”

As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported, Maggie’s law license was issued on September 7, 2024, by the State Bar of California.

She graduated from Georgetown University Law School in Washington, DC in May 2023.

    Wheel of Fortune’s big changes

The game show has undergone a major transformation now that Ryan Seacrest has taken over hosting duties for Pat Sajak.

-Ryan and Vanna White now host on a brand-new set, featuring a blue-toned stage, a green screen and art-deco wheel design.

-Ryan and Vanna make their big entrance from behind new sliding, brightly lit doors.

-Vanna turns – or now, touches – a modern, digital puzzle board controlled by lasers.

-Ryan brings a new hosting style, and has ditched Pat’s signature cue cards.

-The prizes have also been upgraded, and now include tickets to NFL games, and tickets to A-list concerts.

    VANNA’S REPLACEMENT?

In May 2023, Maggie filled in for longtime Wheel of Fortune co-host Vanna White, and fans thought she could take over upon the 67-year-old beauty’s eventual retirement.

Vanna seemed to hint Maggie could take on her legendary position standing next to the letterboard in the future.

“I think she’s a good replacement if I can’t be there for some reason,” she told E! in October 2023.

“She’s been around it her whole life, so I think she can fill in for me for sure.

    “She’s precious, she’s beautiful, she’s very good.

“I think she learned a lot from her father because he’s such a good interviewer. I think she’s good for our show.”

A trip with your close friends is an opportunity to get away from the chaos of your everyday life—spending time catching up, basking in the sun, and, in Vanna White’s case, hinting at your engagement status.

After White shared an Instagram video documenting her recent vacation to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with her girlfriends, some viewers quickly spotted a new addition to the Wheel of Fortune star’s left hand: a glittering diamond ring.

In a conversation with Ryan Seacrest that unfolded on the show, White describes her trip as a video montage plays in the background. “All right, there we are having a good time on the boat,” she says. “We’re walking on the beach talking about old times.” The video then cuts to a shot of White sitting on the sand with her arms slung over her legs—with a diamond on her left ring finger. “That’s a lot of friends,” Seacrest comments as the clips play. “Yeah!” White responds. “We dance, we go out, have a great time,” she adds. “We’re doing a cheer there. We all were cheerleaders, and we were just reminiscing about the good old days.” The final seconds of the Instagram Reel show White holding a finger up to her lips. “I’m saying ‘Shh! Whatever happens in North Myrtle Beach, stays in North Myrtle Beach,’” she tells her co-host. The Wheel of Fortune star captioned the post with the same comment, adding a winking face emoji and a pink heart.

While the co-host of Wheel of Fortune started dating John Donaldson in 2012, the two have not yet announced plans to marry. “I mean, we’ve been together 12 years, and I feel like we are married,” she told People in 2023. “Do we have to get married? No, because we feel comfortable in our relationship. You know what I mean? I know that he’s the one. He knows I’m the one.” However, in the same conversation, she made it clear that tying the knot wasn’t off the table for the duo. “We don’t really talk about it, but you never know,” she told the outlet. “I mean, I guess we could, but in my eyes and his eyes, we are married.”

White credited the success of their long-term relationship to their similarities. “[He] is the male version of me,” she told People. “We really are very similar. We get along so well. He’s easy. He’s easy, and he lets me be me, and I let him be him.” She also pushed for others to have a similar expectation of their partner. “Don’t be in a relationship because you’re lonely, because if you’re not happy, you’re still lonely,” she offered as a piece of advice in her conversation with the outlet. “Just be who you are, and don’t let anybody change who you are. It’s nice when they make you feel good about yourself, or they love who you are as a person and don’t want to change you. It’s got to be easy.” Prior to dating Donaldson, White was married to George Santo Pietro, a restauranteur, from 1990 to 2002. The pair share two children.

A contestant on The Price Is Right pointed out a change in Drew Carey’s appearance recently. The game show host has undergone some significant transformations over the years, but what has he changed now? Keep reading to find out.

Contestant Points Out A Change In Drew Carey’s Face

Drew Carey has been the face of The Price Is Right for nearly 17 years. During that time, viewers have seen him undergo various changes in appearance. Most notably, he’s lost a lot of weight in that time. However, that isn’t what a recent contestant on the show pointed out.

David, a barber from Pasadena, California, was brought down to The Price Is Right stage. As he chatted with Drew before taking his turn, David spoke with the game show host about his hair grooming habits.

“What’s up man, nice to see you! Welcome to the show,” Drew said, shaking David’s hand. The contestant replied, “Thank you so much,” and then spoke about his job as a barber.

“I was wondering when you’re going to grow your beard back?” David asked The Price Is Right host. He gestured toward his own long beard.

“Oh, I don’t know. I just got tired of it,” Drew responded, rubbing his own chin. Then David pointed out Drew’s soul patch, saying that it is “looking good.” Drew Carey complimented the man back, telling him that his beard looked “great.”

Drew Carey Never Saw Himself On The Price Is Right, But Loves It

The Price Is Right host recently participated in an interview with TV Insider. During the conversation, Drew revealed that many of the contestants on the game show will show up to the studio smelling like booze.

“Oh, that happens here all the time,” he said. “They’ll have a gummy or I’ll smell alcohol on their breath. Not unusual. There was a guy here that was tripping on mushrooms.”

He also opened up about his future on the game show. Drew has mentioned several times that he doesn’t plan on retiring from The Price Is Right any time soon.

Now, he has a lot of fun hosting the show and plans to do everything he can to keep it on the air.

“And I want to be a good steward of the show, so I don’t screw it up and wreck it from the very beginning,” he said, as the anniversary of Bob Barker’s death approaches. “I just wanted to make sure it was always on.”

    HOSTING DUTIES

Carey took over The Price is Right when the show’s original host Bob Barker retired.

Although Carey kept up the same energy and ease with contestants, he admitted that he never saw himself in this role.

In fact, he admitted that he used to “look down” at game show hosts.

But after having risen the ranks, Carey affirms that the host’s job is so much “fun.”

With Barker’s death anniversary coming up Carey said he wants to do everything he can to keep the show running and entertaining.

“And I want to be a good steward of the show, so I don’t screw it up and wreck it from the very beginning,” he said.

“I just wanted to make sure it was always on.”

    WHAT’S IN STORE?

The host admits that he’s a fan of the regular shows for the most part, but would love to take a trip to Seoul, South Korea.

The Price is Right host Drew Carey insults contestant after commenting on his grammatically incorrect Plinko game shirt
“Maybe do a whole week and have K-pop bands on as special guests to help play the prizes,” he suggested.

“Korea is one of our strongest allies, and I think it would help put a dent in some of the Asian hate that’s out there right now.”

He also revealed that there are certain prizes on the show that he wished he could win.

Carey mentioned that he’s quite fond of traveling and would love to win a cooking trip to Italy, a tour of the Vatican, or a trip to a different island – if he could.

    TOUGH LOVE

    The Price is Right Hosts

The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special

Drew Carey is known for making jokes at the expense of his contestants.

Earlier this month, the host took a dig at one contestant on The Price is Right, which led fans to praise him for the hilarious moment.

The game show host criticized the contestant who bid just one dollar over the person next to her — a common strategy for getting onto The Price is Right stage.

He took it further, calling out the contestant named Karen for living up to her name.

She also wore a shirt that read “The Original Karen,” in the font of the classic game show.

In another instance, Carey laid into a Price is Right contestant, leading to a pile-on of jokes at the player’s expense.

The game show host commented on a player’s grammatically incorrect shirt.

On Wednesday, June 27, 2024, the official Jeopardy! Instagram account formerly announced Basile was the newest addition to the game show’s Tournament of Champions.

“Watch out, there’s a new ToCer on the block and it’s @SurvivorCBS alum Drew Basile! #Jeopardy!” the show captioned the post.

Jeopardy! also announced the news simultaneously on X.

“Honored to make the ToC, thanks for all the support from Jeopardy fans as well as the Survivor community,” he tweeted.

“They’re not kidding when they say it’s a family. And special shoutout to @anthonyd46 for all the content, screengrabs, etc,” he added.

    DREW NOT DISTURB

Even before the announcement, Jeopardy! viewers had already shared their thoughts on Basile, and they weren’t pretty.

“Drew doesn’t know what being a humble winner is. Instead he’s an obnoxious winner,” commented one Instagram user.

“Someone please break his streak… Please. I was really hoping he wouldn’t make it to the ToC,” commented another user.

“Can anyone see through the fake humility of him? Waiting for a new winner,” wrote another user.

Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings leaves Drew Basile speechless with Survivor news before alum’s ‘over-excited’ 5th win-
“If obnoxious bragging winning was a person,” tweeted one user.

“I could do without his “bro” posturing, but maybe he’ll outgrow it by winter,” added another user.

Some Jeopardy! fans even vowed to boycott the show until a new champion takes Drew’s place.

“I’m a regular viewer, but I’m done until Drew is gone,” one user tweeted.

On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, Drew Basile managed to beat then-reigning-champ Adriana Harmeyer, who won a total of $351,600 during her 15-game winning streak

“He’s arrogant and full of himself. So unpleasant. Hopefully his run will be short and his defeat will be glorious.”

Still, Basile has managed to turn a few viewers into die-hard supporters, or at the very least, lukewarm believers.

    DREW CREW

“Go Drew. Hated you in Survivor but I like you in Jeopardy!” wrote one X user.

“Shocking to see a Twitter post about drew and not seeing all the comments hating on him,” tweeted one user.

Drew has acknowledged the haters on his social media, saying it was time to "prove them right," regarding those who called him a "know-it-all"

“Our Survivor legend and Jeopardy kingggg,” commented one user, alongside a crown emoji.

“I think he’s just very competitive and can’t hold it in,” wrote another user.

“How else could you survive Survivor for that long?”

“Listening to his interview about all sorts of students skipping 7th period to watch Jeopardy with him, the Class Officer, he seems well liked and respected by those who know him,” they added.

“Think about that before you lay into such a great player.”

Drew Basile has drawn some criticism from Jeopardy! viewers for fist-pumping, clapping, and outwardly celebrating his wins, big and small, on the show

“Drew is one of my personal top 5 favorite Jeopardy! contestants!” exclaimed another user.

Even Survivor got in on the action, commenting three clapping hands emojis from their official Instagram, @survivorcbs.

    BASILE THE DEAL

Any Jeopardy! contestant who wins at least five games in the show’s current season are eligible to compete in the Tournament of Champions.

Basile, who was featured on Survivor’s 45th season, has won six consecutive games as of Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

“It’s not my first rodeo, Ken,” Basile told host Ken Jennings during his first Jeopardy! interview.

“I had the privilege of being on Survivor recently,” he continued.

“So I lasted out there for 23 days of 26 with no clothes, no shelter, no food.”

“[It] affected the noggin a little bit, but I’m hoping to, you know, be back on the horse for Jeopardy.”

“Survivor’s pretty hard on the body, but Jeopardy’s tough on the mind,” he added.

Drew Basile has now won over $100,000 during his six-game winning streak, and secured his place in the show's spin-off, Tournament of Champions

Tournament of Champions typically airs after the show’s regular season has wrapped.

The game show’s 40th season set to finish on July 26, 2024, though fans shouldn’t expect TOC to air immediately in August.

The majority of the show’s past tournaments have aired in November, with the last TOC running from February 23 to March 19, 2024.

The Survivor alum is faring slightly better on the trivia game show than he did on the survival competition show, though time will tell if he can beat his 23-day streak on the island.

    Jeopardy! Universe

Jeopardy! first aired in 1964 until 1975. Then the nighttime version began in 1974. Since then, many spinoffs of the game show have emerged. Here they all are:

Jeopardy! – (syndicated) 1974 to present, weekdays on ABC at 7 pm ET.

Tournament of Champions – 1984 to present, features the top champions who have appeared on the show since the last tournament.

Second Chance Tournament – 2022 to present features hand-selected non-winners from the season prior, where the prize is entry into Champions Wildcard.

Champions Wildcard – 2023 to present, features all one, two and three-day champions from the season prior worth entry into the Tournament of Champions.

Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament (syndication) – 2023 to present, features past greats invited by producers to vie for a slot in Masters.

Jeopardy! Masters (primetime) – 2023 to present, features the six highest-ranked Jeopardy! champions competing against each other.

Celebrity Jeopardy! (primetime) – 1992 to present, has celebrities compete against each other to raise money for charity.

Pop Culture Jeopardy (streaming) – 2024 to present, will feature teams of three tasked with pop culture trivia on Amazon Prime, host and airdate TBD

Jeopardy! has done away with specialized tournaments like its College Tournaments, Kids Week, and Professor’s Tournament to gear towards a more sports-like model, with Masters being the top of the Jeopardy pyramid.

Other versions of Jeopardy! have fizzled out throughout the years as well, like Sports Jeopardy!.
