Beyond the Laughter: Christopher Rich Shares an UNEXPECTED Glimpse into His “Happy’s Place” Reunion with Reba & Melissa

Christopher Rich shares a RARE THING about participating in Happy’s Place with Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman

The Feb. 21 episode of Happy’s Place will be heavy on Hart. That’s because Christopher Rich, who played Brock Hart on the WB classic Reba, is reuniting with Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman on NBC‘s freshman comedy, marking one of his first on-screen roles since he suffered a debilitating stroke in 2018.

TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek introduces Rich’s character, Maverick, a local tattoo artist who also had a stroke, yubi and only has complete use of one hand. He doesn’t let that damper his spirits, though: In the episode, we learn that Maverick likes to tease new clients about which hand he’s going to use when he works on their tattoos.

Below, Rich talks to TVLine about what it was like to be back in front of a studio audience with two of his “best friends,” why he was so thrilled to have his condition written into the episode, and the circumstances under which he’d like to reprise his Maverick role in a hypothetical Season 2.

TVLINE | This week marks 18 years since the series finale of Reba. Does it feel like it has been that long?

In some ways, yes, but mostly it feels like it was just yesterday. I mean, that’s my love. That’s the best set I ever worked on. And I worked on some cool sets, with Murphy Brown and Boston Legal, but that was the best set by far, and Happy’s Place is just like that set. It’s a clone of the Reba set.

TVLINE | How did it feel to be back in front of a studio audience, opposite Reba and Melissa, after all this time?

It was a time warp. It was like going back in time. Their characters are so similar — Reba to Bobbie, and Barbara Jean to Gabby, though now they’re finding the differences, I think, in Gabby and Barbara Jean. But I was with two of my best friends, getting to act — what’s bad about that? They’re there supporting me, encouraging me… it was a blessing. Melissa is still so funny, and when she looks at you with those penetrating blue eyes, it almost knocks your head back a little bit. She’s a piece of work!

TVLINE | That line, where she asks if you’ve got a wife she can steal you away from…

That’s an Easter egg for the Reba fans!

'Reba' Reunion on 'Happy's Place' - Reba McEntire, Melissa Peterman and Christopher Rich in Season 1, Episode 15Casey Durkin/NBC
TVLINE | You play a tattoo artist named Maverick. Can you relate to this guy?

Totally, I can relate to him. He’s a jokester, he likes to torture new customers a little bit because he knows they’re going to freak out about his stroke. He has fun, but he’s a very talented artist. He’s a little bit of a flirt, too.

TVLINE | Only in preparing for this interview did I learn that you also suffered a stroke a few years ago. How are you feeling now?

I’m feeling reborn, frankly, particularly after this experience [on Happy’s Place]. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do it again — that that magic thing in my brain had been destroyed with the stroke. But no, it was right there. I really do feel like I’m ready to just hit it back again, and go do some more fun stuff. I love working.

TVLINE | What was it like to get to play a character who has been through a similar health scare, and getting to find the humor in that experience?

It was very special to me. And kudos go out to the producers, to the writers, for adding that element to it. I was more than willing to come on the show and play a character without referencing the stroke, but they said, “You know, we think we can take advantage of it, maybe get a little comedy out of it. Do you mind if we use it?” And I said, “Please, please use it. Please put it out there that people have strokes, and we are still a part of society.” I’d like for that to become my main thing: getting stroke patients back to work and getting them more acceptance. Yes, it blew up a part of my brain, but I’m still out there, and we can have fun together, and I can still work, I can memorize lines….

'Reba' Reunion on 'Happy's Place' - Reba McEntire, Melissa Peterman and Christopher Rich in Season 1, Episode 15Casey Durkin/NBC

TVLINE | It must have been a thrill to hear the studio audience erupt when you first entered the scene.

It was incredible, buddy. I mean, it really was just incredible. What a surge of emotion I went through. In fact, I wish you’d been there. You would have heard me thank the audience — thank them for sharing the experience with me, and how special and meaningful it was to me. It was a beautiful thing.

TVLINE | Not only are you working with Reba and Melissa, but you’re on another multi-cam helmed by Kevin Abbott that uses a lot of the same crew as Reba. That must’ve been a trip.

Those people are geniuses. Their track records are phenomenal, and you’re safe working with talent like that. Not many people have asked me about this, but one of my favorite directors from the beginning of my career [on Murphy Brown] is Pamela Fryman, and we got to have a little reunion [too]. That was really, really cool. She’s brilliant, and a real blessing for this show.

'Reba' Reunion on 'Happy's Place' - Reba McEntire, Melissa Peterman and Christopher Rich in Season 1, Episode 15Casey Durkin/NBC
TVLINE | Gabby clearly takes a liking to Maverick. In the event of a Season 2, how would you feel about coming back as a love interest for Melissa?
I would love that. I would love it. Love it, love it. There’s nothing more delightful than being on that set with my friends, best place in the world.

TVLINE | Steve Howey has already been on Happy’s Place, and I know they’re trying to find a part for JoAnna Garcia Swisher, but it would be great to see the whole gang together again….

Once they see all three of us having worked in three good episodes, maybe somebody will say, “Hey, listen, we can do a streaming movie, get the Hart family together again.” We could do a great Christmas movie, a great summer vacation movie… it’s a super talented cast.

TVLINE | Reba was a hit for The WB back in the day, but it has seen even greater success in syndication. Twenty-four years after it premiered, it still airs on multiple cable networks, multiple times per day. It’s also on several streaming services, including Netflix. Why do you think it has endured when so many sitcoms from that era have not?

Honestly, Ryan, I think it’s because at the center of that show was a solid heart. It was about a family that goes through a devastating thing and then has to navigate that, and it touched a lot of people. I’m very, very proud of that show, and I’m proud of the things that we dealt with on it. But I think one of the reasons it has lasted so long is because of COVID. When everybody locked down, people started streaming it, and I got so many messages about it. People were really grateful for that break in their daily routine that streaming Reba provided. I still watch it occasionally, and it’s funny. It’s timeless, and it’s a great show.

TVLINE | You went viral a couple of years ago, when fans spotted you and your former co-stars at a Reba concert, singing along to “I’m a Survivor.” They love seeing that you’re all still in each other’s lives after this time. How have you maintained those relationships?

While we were working on [Reba], I and other people on the crew frequently said to the cast, “Listen, guys, enjoy this, because this is not what it’s usually like. This is glorious. On other shows, usually a lot more personalities clash,” and we had none of that. I think the appreciation and love that we had for doing the show that way has lasted and kept a strong bond. I mean, we vacation together, we spend a lot of time together… [Reba’s boyfriend] Rex [Linn, who plays Emmett on Happy’s Place] and I are avid University of Texas football fans. Now, every Saturday in the fall, we force Reba to sit and watch college football with us. It’s the most fun thing you can imagine!

New episodes of Happy’s Place air Fridays at 8/7c on NBC (and stream next day on Peacock).

After returning for the 2018 revival season, yubi, Barr sent out a racist tweet about President Obama’s former senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, which led to ABC canceling the series and retooling it as The Conners, without the presence of Barr. She is expected to release a comedy special for Fox Nation in 2023.

Christopher Rich is proud to call Rex Linn his “bestie.”

Ahead of his Friday, Feb. 21 guest appearance on Reba McEntire’s NBC comedy Happy’s Place —where the Reba alum reunited with his former costars McEntire, 69, and Melissa Peterman — the veteran actor spoke with PEOPLE about just how close the cast of The WB series remains. According to Rich, 71, that closeness even extends to the cast’s significant others.

While sharing that he thinks of McEntire as a “sister,” he also revealed that he’s close to her boyfriend and Happy’s Place costar, Linn.

“Her present boyfriend, Rex Linn, is one of my besties,” he tells PEOPLE, adding that the chance to hang out on set with not only McEntire and Peterman but also Linn was a joy.

Rich says, “It’s glorious to me where life has brought us all to be honest. It’s really fabulous. I’m so happy that she’s happy, and she’s happy that we got to spend time together. And Rex is happy and I’m happy for Rex … it’s just a joyous time.”

Linn, 68, and McEntire met on the set of Kenny Rogers’ film The Gambler in 1991, but the two didn’t begin dating until they reconnected in 2020. According to McEntire, the pair hit it off when the country star was eager to order tater tots at a wine bar during a group outing.

During a March 2023 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, McEntire shared that her fondness for tots earned her a new nickname — and kicked off her relationship with the CSI: Miami alum. “Rex said, ‘That’s your nickname from here on out — Tater Tot,’” she explained, before adding that she calls Linn by the nickname “Sugar Tot.”

McEntire continued: “We’re the tots — sugar and tater. We’ve been together ever since. He’s a sweetheart.”

Thanks to his relationship with McEntire, Linn is now a member of the extended Reba family, an honor that he shares with Rich’s wife, Eva Halina Rich, and JoAnna Garcia Swisher’s husband, Nick Swisher.

Rich tells PEOPLE that he thinks of Garcia Swisher, who played his TV daughter Cheyenne on Reba, as one of his own daughters offscreen as well.

“JoAnna Garcia is like a daughter to me for real,” he says. “I married JoAnna and her husband, Nick Swisher, I was the officiant.”

Spoken like a true (TV) dad, Rich adds, “They are like my kids. I love them so much.”

Happy’s Place airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and can be streamed on Peacock the next day. Additionally, Reba can be streamed in full on Netflix.

Reba McEntire Will Star In Film Adaptation Of A Beloved Novel By Fannie Flagg

We are very excited about this!

    Reba McEntire

Reba McEntire is a country legend, of course, but she also knows a whole lot about Hollywood. While the singer and mentor on The Voice has a long list of on-screen accolades, including her work in Reba and Happy’s Place, she’s also been busy behind the scenes working as a producer.

Now, comes word that she is adding another line to her Hollywood resume. McEntire will star in and produce a film adaptation of the novel The All-Girl Filling Station’s Last Reunion by beloved Southern author Fannie Flagg.

Based on the book by Flagg, who is perhaps best known for her book, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, the story follows Mrs. Sookie Poole of Point Clear, Alabama. According to a press release, Poole is an empty nester who wants to relax after marrying off her daughter, but is instead sent down “a rabbit hole of self-discovery” when she starts receiving mysterious letters that claim she is adopted.

Reba McEntire To Star In 'The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion'

Her search for the truth about her birth family leads her to ”the swashbuckling story of Fritzi Jurdabralinski and her sisters, a daring group of women who ran the first All Girl Filling Station during WWII and ultimately became the first female Air Force pilots.”

McEntire is expected to star in the film as well as produce it and already has the Oscar and Golden Globe-winning director Callie Khouri on board to direct. If you recall, Khouri created the TV series Nashville, produced Thelma & Louise, and wrote the movie for Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. It’s pretty much a dream team to bring Flagg’s story to life.

This is not the first Flagg project that McEntire has tried to bring to the screen, though. Back in 2020, McEntire announced that she was working on a television series based on Fried Green Tomatoes with Flagg and legendary producer Norman Lear on board to help.

Reba McEntire Tapped to Lead 'The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion' Adaptation

The hourlong drama, which certainly would have been a hit in the South, was in the works with NBC, but sadly never came to fruition.AL.com reports that McEntire discussed the fate of series on a podcast where she explained that it “just kinda went away.” McEntire summed it up as, all part of “showbiz.”

Fingers crossed that this film version makes it to our screens, because we’ll be first in line to watch!

On Monday, Reba McEntire was back at “The Voice” for the finale after hosting the ACM Awards for the 17th time!

“Extra” spoke with Reba, who dished on her surprise performance with “sweet” Post Malone at the ACM Awards and getting to see Gwen Stefani, who’s coming back to “The Voice” next season.

Reba was “giddy” to see Gwen at the ACM Awards, adding, “I’m so glad that she’s coming back.”

Gwen’s husband Blake Shelton made sure to show his disapproval that Reba was hosting the show without him! She noted, “The last time I hosted was co-hosting with Blake… We’re a tight team and we all get along and I love both of them so much.”

Could Blake come back as a co-host next year? Reba laughed, “I asked him, ‘Would you come back and host it with me?’ He said, ‘No way.’”

Reba also spoke about how excited she was to have her two artists in the finals of “The Voice,” saying, “I’m so thrilled to death for both of them… I’m continuing encouraging them and telling them to have fun.”

“The Voice” is wrapping up, but Reba has something special lined up with her new sitcom “Happy Place,” which reunites her with Melissa Peterman and also co-stars her boyfriend Rex Linn!

Reba McEntire Says Rex Linn Is a 'Stickler' About This One Thing

She said, “I love to do sitcoms. They’re so much fun and with Melissa, we have a blast wherever we are, but in front of those four cameras, it’s a lot of mischief happening. The rest of the cast is incredible. I’ve got my boyfriend Rex, Belissa, Pablo, Tokala, Melissa, and Rex and me.”

Reba called it “lovely” to be able to work with Rex, saying, “We’ve gotten to do two other projects together, ABC ‘Big Sky’ and then Lifetime ‘The Hammer’ movie. We love working together. What’s really the best part about it, he’s my coach, so when we’re home, he’s helping me with my lines and to memorize. He’s wonderful, helps me a lot.”

“The Voice” finale is Monday and Tuesday on NBC.

The singer and actress got personal about the emotional connection she has with the NBC series.

preview for Reba on The Dream Role She Didn't Land

With Happy’s Place coming back for season 2 this fall on NBC, it’s clear people adore Reba McEntire‘s latest venture into the world of sitcom TV. While viewers love to follow the story of a woman and her half-sister running their late father’s Tennessee tavern, it turns out there are some hidden secrets folks likely wouldn’t expect come the next installment.

Reba, who is partnering with Realtor.com on their “Nearly Home” campaign, spoke to Good Housekeeping about the exciting things to come when the series returns. When asked about if there were any personal touches viewers may have not picked up while watching Happy’s Place, the singer and actress (who’s also an executive producer for the show) made a surprise revelation. She revealed that the tavern actually has secret nods to all the guest stars and extras appearing on camera throughout the episodes — and they show up in a format folks will definitely need to keep an eye out for.

“The thing I love so much about the Happy’s Place set — especially the tavern — is the memorabilia everywhere,” she explained. “The extras and our stand-ins on our team are so good, that we’ll do polaroids of anybody that’s been on set. We then put them up in little strategic places in the tavern so that they can see themselves there … Any kind of final little small touches like that makes everybody feel welcome and a part of the show.”

Wait — now we need to pay closer attention and look for this surprise set detail on Happy’s Place! And that’s not all Reba shared about how special the show’s set design is for her.

The former Reba star also noted something special that production designer Glenda Rovello does with her team for the set of Happy’s Place. Reba stated how she gave Glenda personal photos from her own life to display in her character Bonnie’s late dad’s home. But Reba also realized there were other eclectic pieces around the set that immediately took her back to her own childhood, too.

“In Happy’s house, there was a little box and it had shells all around it,” Reba added. “I looked at it, took a picture of it and sent it to my sisters. I said, ‘Didn’t Mama have a box just like this?’ And [my sister] Alice [Foran] asked, ‘Where’d you get that?’ I said, ‘It’s on the set of Happy’s Place!’ She said there was one in Mama’s house, right there by her sewing machine.”

The Heartbreaking Truth: The Real Reason Behind “Mike & Molly’s” Cancellation Finally Revealed, Leaving Fans Devastated

The current sixth season will be the last for the Melissa McCarthy-Billy Gardell comedy.

It's Official: 'Mike and Molly' Canceled CBS

Mike and Molly WIndy City – H 2013

    CBS

It’s official: CBS’ Mike and Molly is ending.

Network entertainment president Glenn Geller confirmed at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour that the current sixth season of its Melissa McCarthy and Billy Gardell starrer would be its last.

The Warner Bros. Television-produced comedy hails from Chuck Lorre (Mom, Big Bang Theory) and marks the prolific showrunner’s second comedy to end in as many years. (The network parted ways with veteran Two and a Half Men last season.)

The formal announcement comes after news leaked in December that the network would not continue on with the family comedy. Star McCarthy, who has turned into a box office A-lister whose status has not helped the comedy find a broader audience, is in the last year of her contract for the series. Both McCarthy and Gardell spoke out about the then-apparent final season of the series:

“I was shocked and heartbroken when @CBS canceled #MikeAndMolly. I would have shot this show for 50 more years. I’ll miss my 2nd family,” she wrote. Added Gardell, who has been doing press and openly discussing the final season before the network officially confirmed as much: “Mike and Molly returns Jan 6, it will be our last episodes. There are 13 of them. Thank you everyone who supported us,” he wrote.

Mike and Molly' Canceled by CBS: Melissa McCarthy Series to End After Season 6

The comedy in the recent past had shifted from a fall launch to become a dependable midseason bench player. Mike and Molly returned for its sixth season Jan. 6 as part of CBS’ new Wednesday comedy block with fellow WBTV comedy 2 Broke Girls. The block will run for seven weeks; it’s unclear when its remaining episodes will run. Season six marks the first time the multicamera series has received anything but a 22-episode order.

CBS, for its part, has had a strong fall with all four of its freshman series earning full-season orders. The net has a crowded bench with rookie comedy Angel From Hell — produced in-house by CBS Television Studios — as well as WBTV remake Rush Hour set for Thursdays in March, with Elementary moving to Sundays and bumping CSI: Crime Scene Investigation from the schedule.

Production on the final episode of the series will be completed Feb. 1, with the actors now available to move on to other projects in the middle of pilot season in first position.

Of CBS’ remaining comedy roster of six scripted comedies, three hail from WBTV (2 Broke Girls as well as Lorre’s Big Bang and Mom) as well as CBSTVS‘ The Odd Couple and Angel From Hell plus 20th TV’s Life in Pieces.

As for the future of Person of Interest, which EP J.J. Abrams said would likely be its final season, Geller wouldn’t officially close the book on the long-running drama. The series, which was left off both the fall and midseason schedules, is slated to return “in the spring,” Geller said.

Two and a Half Men stars Jon Cryer, Charlie Sheen, and Angus T. Jones

Will Two and a Half Men be the next sitcom from the past to get a revival?

Originally premiering on CBS in 2003, Two and a Half Men starred Charlie Sheen as a wealthy and promiscuous jingle writer whose neurotic, chiropractor brother (Jon Cryer) and mischievous son Jake (Angus T. Jones) unexpectedly move in to his Malibu beach home. In 2011, Sheen was fired from the series partway through its eighth season after having a very public feud with creator Chuck Lorre.

The two have just recently made up, with Sheen even playing himself in Lorre’s new Max series Bookie. As many other sitcoms have been getting revivals and cast reunion specials in recent years, fans might wonder if that might now happen with Two and a Half Men, though Lorre suggested to Variety that it’s not very likely — but not impossible.

“I don’t think so,” Lorre said about a potential Two and a Half Men revival happening. “Not that I’m aware of. It’s foolish to say never. It’s still to me more gratifying and fun to do new stuff. And to let let the stuff we did in the past be the past.”

When asked about a potential sit-down interview special that could reunite the cast members, similar to Friends: The Reunion, Lorre suggested it may be for the best to just leave it be. As Lorre said, “It was just a lot [to reunite with Sheen], for both of us, we were grateful to be past it. Here we are, so many years later. And there was a lot of gratitude. I think it was warm. People said it must have been healing and you know, it was. It was wonderful to not just give the man a hug. We worked together and we had a blast. It was very reminiscent of those wonderful eight years where we had a lot of fun making a show that we worked hard on and we were proud of.”

Charlie Sheen Wants More Roles After Bookie

Before his controversial exit, Sheen had at one point been the highest-paid actor on television for his role as Charlie Harper on Two and a Half Men. In recent years, however, he hasn’t been acting much at all. He recently told People that he’s now been sober for six years and is back to being the person he was before his public meltdown in 2011. The actor said he’s now looking forward to getting his acting career back on track following his return to the small screen in Bookie.

“For the longest time, I had the best work reputation,” Sheen explained. “I was the first to arrive, last to leave, when in doubt, I would over prepare. I would just check every box. And then that went away. So I was really excited about being that guy again.”

Two and a Half Men can be streamed on Peacock, while Bookie is streaming on Max.

When CBS’ Two and a Half Men first hit the small screen back in 2003, it was revered for its take on the modern family. The show followed the life of Charlie Harper, a dedicated bachelor and notorious playboy, whose life gets upended when his newly divorced type-A brother moves in with his aloof 10-year-old son.

The series ran for eight seasons before Sheen’s struggles with drug and alcohol abuse made it so production couldn’t move forward with him. He famously got into a public dispute with executive producer Chuck Lorre, and was killed off the series. Ashton Kutcher then took over as a lead until the show ended in 2015.

All the drama aside, Two and a Half Men remains one of the most successful sitcoms of the early aughts (and makes for a good weekend marathon). See what Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones and the rest of the stars of Two and a Half Men have been up to since the show wrapped.

Playing the untammable bachelor whose blissful single life gets interrupted was Charlie Sheen. By the time he landed the role of Charlie Harper, Sheen was already a top name in Hollywood — not just because he was the son of Martin Sheen, but because he had undeniable acting chops of his own.

Sheen had been in classics such as Wall Street, Cadence, Scary Movie 3, The Three Musketeers and many more. He co-led Two and a Half Men for eight seasons until his personal problems made it so he couldn’t be part of the series anymore.

Following Two and a Half Men, he starred in FX’s Anger Management for two seasons, he appeared on an episode of The Goldbergs and starred in 9/11 alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Gina Gershon.

Sheen is a father to four kids: daughters Sami, 19, and Lola Rose, 18, whom he shares with ex-wife Denise Richards, as well as twin sons Max and Bob, 14 , whom he shares with ex-wife Brooke Mueller.

    Jon Cryer as Alan Harper

Jon Cryer played the over-protective, quirky and anxiety-ridden brother to Charlie Harper, and newly single father to Jake.

Prior to joining the cast, Cryer also had some impressive credits on his résumé. He made his acting debut in 1984’s No Small Affair, but audiences really fell in love with him when he played Duckie Dale in 1986’s Pretty in Pink.

Cryer won two Primetime Emmys for his performance as Alan Harper and went on to rack up credits in hit shows such as The Ranch, Justice League Action, Ryan Hanson Solves Crimes on Television, Supergirl and most recently, Extended Family.

Angus T. Jones as Jake Harper

Playing the titular “half man” mentioned in the show’s title was child star Angus T. Jones, who scored the role of Jake Harper when he was only 10 years old.

Though he had various acting credits before the CBS show — Dinner with FriendsGeorge of the Jungle 2The Christmas Blessing and more — since wrapping Two and a Half Men, Jones has hung up his acting cape and largely stayed out of the limelight.

If “say it like you mean it” were a person, it would be the sharp-tongued housekeeper Berta, played by Conchata Ferrell, who kept the boys in check, not withholding her feelings about anything, ever.

Before Two and a Half Men, Ferrell made appearances in Teen Angel, Erin Brockovich, Mystic Pizza, Edward Scissorhands and a host of other films and TV shows.

Ferrell died in 2020 at 77 years old.

Nowadays, fans will most likely recognize Marin Hinkle from her role as Rose Weissman in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but before that, she also played the tightly wound, uncongenial Judith Harper-Melnick — ex-wife to Alan and mother to Jake.

Hinkle has since appeared in other TV series such as Speechless, Homeland, Madam Secretary and more.

Hinkle wed theater director Randall Sommer in 1998. The actress filed for divorce in 2023, after 25 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

    Holland Taylor as Evelyn Harper

Playing the mother to Charlie and Alan was Holland Taylor, whose dry humor, liberal attitude toward sex and detachment from her motherly duties made for a hilarious matriarch.

Of course, Taylor was already a Hollywood legend by the time Two and a Half Men came around in 2003. With a career that dates back to the late ’60s, the seasoned actress was no stranger to lending her comedic chops to big and small screen productions.

She appeared in TV series such as Beacon Hill, Bosom Buddies, Saved by the Bell: The College Years and The Naked Truth, among many others. Her film credits include How to Make an American Quilt, George of the Jungle, Legally Blonde, Spy Kids 3: Game Over and more.

Taylor is currently in a relationship with fellow actress Sarah Paulson, whom she first met at a dinner party in 2005. They reconnected years later via social media and made their relationship public in 2015.

Melanie Lynskey played Rose, a neighbor who had a one-night stand with Charlie, but later became his years-long stalker. Her persistence (and one very diabolical plan) did pay off, however, as the playboy bachelor realized he loved her in season 8 of the show.

Following Two and a Half Men, Lynskey established a solid TV career for herself. The New Zealand native has credits in Togetherness, Future-Worm, Castle Rock, Mrs. America, Candy as well as Yellowjackets.

Lynskey married Jason Ritter in the spring of 2020, almost two years after the ultra-private couple welcomed their daughter in December of 2018.

April Bowlby joined the show in season 3, playing Kandi, another one of Charlie’s “romantic” trysts.

Aside from her 17-episode run on the CBS show, Bowlby also had roles in Drop Dead Diva, The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother; her latest credit is for playing Rita Farr, a.k.a. Elasti-Girl, in Doom Patrol.

Though Bowlby keeps her personal life mostly under wraps, she and her husband Matthew Cooke seemingly welcomed a baby boy sometime in 2022, per her Instagram page.

    Ryan Stiles as Herb Melnick

Ryan Stiles played Jake’s pediatrician-turned-stepdad, who got together with Judith following her divorce from Alan.

Fans probably recognize Stiles from The Drew Carey Show, which aired on ABC from 1995 to 2004. He’s also produced and appeared on Whose Line Is It Anyway? throughout its decades-long tenure.

Stiles has been married to his wife, Patricia MacDonald, since 1988.

Following Charlie Sheen’s exit, Ashton Kutcher stepped in as lead, playing Walden Schmidt, a distraught billionaire who is reeling from his own disastrous divorce.

The veteran actor had first been in hits such as That ’70s Show, spearheaded MTV’s Punk’d in the early aughts and was a bonafide leading man, following his roles in Just Married, Guess Who and What Happens in Vegas.

Kutcher has been married to fellow That ’70s Show alum Mila Kunis since 2015. The pair share two kids, daughter Wyatt Isabelle, 9, and son Dimitri Portwood, 7.

Big Brother 27 Just Dropped Another BIG CLUE About This Season’s Theme, And Fans Are Excited

House of Villains’ Brings a ‘Big Brother’ Legendary Villain Back to Reality TV and No One Is Talking About It

When it comes to Big Brother, there is always going to be some sort of theme that the Houseguests will have to navigate. Whether it involves around the actual players or the twists and turns, the theme truly dictates how the summer fun is had. Not every theme lasts all the way through, as the vocal fans sometimes influence the real-time game, but when a theme works, like last season, it makes the show exuberantly better.

With Big Brother 27 less than a month away, fans are already speculating what might be brewing inside the BB house. After dropping exclusive key-centric key art, everyone is wondering if there are clues in plain sight. Last season, the theme centered on AI, and the preseason promo art featured a technology-based design. With that in mind, it’s time to examine what we might be up for this season. But don’t forget, expect the unexpected!

‘Big Brother’ Is Unlocked New Secrets

To get the obvious out of the way, the only way to enter the Big Brother house is to receive the coveted key. And it’s all right there in the image for the upcoming season. From there, there are 48 keys in total. Fans of the show know that it’s always important to pay attention to everything, which often includes counting items, so will 48 have a key to the clue? We won’t start with 48 players, right? That would be way too intense. That’s a wild theory out the window. Additionally, we know that if your key is in the box, you head is on the chopping block. Maybe we can hope that the old nomination ceremony ritual of the turntable key wheel reveal will return! Then, looking specifically at the keys, there are a series of repeated vintage-inspired keys, which are much different than the ones we’re used to seeing the Houseguests holding on premiere night.

Speaking to Dalton Ross of Entertainment Weekly, hostess Julie Chen Moonves said, “The keys to unlocking unexpected mysteries in the Big Brother house are right in front of you!” The Executive Producers, Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan, continued to key into vague clues. “The key to a perfect summer is no mystery. Get ready to unlock the most unexpected season of Big Brother yet!’ they said. Isn’t that what they always say? Now, we do know that this season, we’ll have a new bi-weekly Friday show called Big Brother UnlockedCould that play into the twist at all? Maybe the keyholders could have the opportunity to speak with alum for advice!

Perhaps the key to the theme is what these keys can unlock. Is Julie standing in a key room? Will these keys unlock certain parts of the house during the season? Could there be keys for doors that lead to rooms with advantages or disadvantages? Let’s just hope that there’s not a key that will unleash the terror that was JANKIE World on us all! But let’s be honest, the finale promised the little robot’s return, so expect the expected.

The Best ‘Big Brother’ Themes in History

Julie Chen Moonves' promo for 'Big Brother 27.'

With the Big Brother socials officially bringing the key into their profile pictures, fans have brought an array of theories to the comment section. But first, the account trolled us all with their comment, “the clues were all there!! 🤭🤭🤭” One person wrote, “There’s 8 pairs of keys facing each other. 16 houseguests coming in as duos.” We have certainly seen duos in the game. In fact, Big Brother 6, which featured secret pairs, is regarded as one of the best and influential seasons of all time. We had previously been assured that we would not have any returning players, so it’s likely we won’t have a split house of old and new houseguests. Some fans felt that the key art was given mansion or princess vibes. Could that be it?

No matter what this theme is, we know how a great theme can help make or break a season. In the early days of the game, the show really leaned heavily on wild themes. Big Brother 4 featured The Ex-Factor, where certain Houseguests were forced to play alongside their exes. Big Brother 5 introduced Project DNA, where a set of twins swapped in and out with one another, and unbeknownst, half-siblings were inside the house together. Later on in the run, the show tried everything from dividing Houseguests by school clique for Big Brother 11, the ill-fated BB Takeover during Big Brother 17, and turning the BB house into Summer Camp for Big Brother 21. We’ll see if Big Brother 27 has the key to success!
