Shock on Set: The Price Is Right Contestant Asked to Leave

‘The Price Is Right’ Contestant Was Asked To Leave Here’s Why

Drew Carey - YouTube/The Price Is Right

A recent contestant on The Price Is Right was asked to leave the stage in a rare occurrence this week. It is the first time any contestant has been asked to leave the beloved game show. Keep reading to find out why the contestant was asked to leave and how fans reacted.

The Price Is Right Contestant Asked Off Stage In Embarrassing Moment

The Price Is Right contestant Elvira made a very light spin when she was trying to earn her spot on stage. On her first spin, she landed on the number 65. Under normal circumstances, this would have been a spectacular spin, but shortly after Drew Carey informed her it didn’t count. The wheel has to make at least one rotation for the spin to count.

So, she spun again and only landed on 45, meaning that the wheel didn’t make a complete rotation once again. That’s when The Price Is Right host offered to help her. “Here. Let me help you out,” Drew said.
Drew Carey - YouTube/The Price Is RightYouTube/The Price Is Right
With the help of the 65-year-old host, Elvira managed to land on 75. Then Drew Carey told her she had one more spin and tried to step in to help her again. However, she told him she had it.

Unfortunately, her fourth spin landed in between numbers, so it didn’t count. She landed on 40 for her fifth and final spin, which put her over 100. Shaking her hand, Drew Carey thanked Elvira for coming on the show and then helped her off stage.

Not The First Time Fans Were Shocked This Week

Fans of The Price Is Right couldn’t believe how “painful” Elvira’s turn at the wheel turned out to be.

“There was just a woman on The Price is Right who couldn’t spin the wheel a full rotation and after 4 times they gave up and asked her to leave hahaha!” one viewer wrote on X. One person asked, “Did they really leave? I have it on mute.” The original poster responded, verifying that Elvira was “politely asked off the stage on the Mother’s Day edition.”

“That’s epic. How do you go on the show and are told FOUR times to spin it properly and don’t! Crazy,” another fan replied. One person questioned whether or not her last spin was a full one and the original poster pointed out that she did not. “Insanity! That was embarrassingly painful to watch! #fail #tpir,” one viewer wrote in response.

This isn’t even the first time this week that fans of The Price Is Right have been disappointed with a fan’s turn. Earlier in the week, viewers were flabbergasted by another contestant’s “disrespectful” bid. Nicholas was called to the stage to bid on an exercise spin bike. Without thinking much about it, he bid $1 million.

Viewers were angry that he took a chance from someone else in the audience who would have loved a chance to actually play the game. “Wish they could send somebody like that back to the audience,” one person vented on social media.

The Price Is Right airs on weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for the time.

’The Price Is Right’ Drew Carey Makes Lewd Joke In ‘Hollywood Squares’ Reboot

The Price Is Right: Drew Carey

The Price Is Right fans are used to seeing Drew Carey as the host of the popular game show. However, he is also part of the new Hollywood Squares reboot as well. Carey had plenty to say from his time on the set of the reboot, including a lewd joke that many were not prepared for. So, what happened with this situation?

The Price Is Right Host Drew Carey Popped Up On Hollywood Squares

Even though Drew Carey has his hands full hosting The Price Is Right, he made an appearance on the new Hollywood Squares reboot, as he occupied one of the squares reserved for famous people. For those fans used to seeing Carey run the ship on his other game show, this time on the reboot was certainly different for him.

Even though it’s technically extra work for Drew Carey to show up on Hollywood Squares, he does not have as much pressure on him here, as he is not the host of the rebooted game show. In many ways, Carey can just relax and have fun. So, there’s certainly some appeal to adding to his schedule for these appearances.
The Price Is Right: Drew CareyThe Price Is Right: Drew Carey/YouTube

Carey Makes NSFW Joke On Hollywood Squares

Another aspect that comes with Drew Carey participating in and not hosting Hollywood Squares is that he does not have to keep it quite as PG as he would while hosting The Price Is Right. Based on recent scenes, it did not take Carey very long to take full advantage of this, either.

This time around, Drew Carey was up to bat to answer the question: “According to the classic slogan, what tastes so good that cats ask for it by name?”

The typically PG Carey took a raunchy turn when he responded with: “This cat says, ‘Your mama’s p***y.”

Shock and awe were present on the faces of everyone on the game show. Because of how PG Drew has to keep things on The Price Is Right, it’s easy to forget that a show like Hollywood Squares gives him the chance to be considerably less so, and he clearly took full advantage of it.

Drew Carey Leaned Into Hilarious, Crude Answer

Shortly after giving this unexpected answer on the Hollywood Squares set, Drew Carey leaned in, adding: “Hi everybody, I host The Price Is Right.”

After having his bit of fun on the Hollywood Squares set, Drew eventually gave the correct answer to the question, which was Meow Mix, but, not before generating a memorable moment on the show that people are still talking about.

What do you think of this NSFW answer from Drew Carey? Let us know in the comments.

Mama Mai Surprise Shocks The Price Is Right Fans — The Update No One Saw Coming

The Price Is Right Fans Reveal Stunning Mama Mai Update From George Gray (Does She Still Watch?)

The Price Is Right's George Gray smiles while pointing at two studio audience membersImage via CBS

Fans who attended tapings of The Price Is Right discovered a brand-new update about Mama Mai directly from announcer George Gray himself. The Price Is Right has stayed pretty much the same over the years, aside from Drew Carey succeeding Bob Barker as host.

One of the things that fans can always count on is George giving a shoutout to his mother at the top of every episode because she’s always watching. The announcer has been saying her name on the air every day since 2014.

When fans attended tapings of The Price Is Right, George Gray told them a brand-new update about Mama Mai.

No-Veterinarian9201 on Reddit created a thread to discuss Mama Mai and to see what’s going on her with now. A couple fans replied to give some new insight after attending some tapings of The Price Is Right. When Bibliophiles_Unite was at the studio, they wore a shirt that said, “Hi Mama Mai.” George ended up coming over to talk to the fan after noticing the shirt. “He mentioned that [Mama Mai] watches every day and if I recall correctly he said she sends him a pic from his intro with an emoji.”

Spiritual-Subject-27 replied to that comment to reveal George revealed a similar update when they attended a recent taping. “His mom takes a picture of every episode and sends it to him,” they said. Elsewhere in the Reddid thread, Food_Tastes_Good came up with a nice idea so fans can see Mama Mai every day, which would involve a box in the corner of screen that livestreams George’s mother “and her reaction to everything on the show.” Sometimes, fans will even give her a shoutout while spinning the wheel, as noted by other fans on Reddit.

What Heartwarming Mama Mai Update Means For Price Is Right

George Keeps Fans Update-To-Date On Mama Mai

It’s extremely heartwarming to find out that not only does Mama Mai still watch The Price Is Right every day but also that she sends her son a photo of his appearance for each episode. George makes sure to keep his fans updated about his mother whenever he can.

At the start of the year, he posted a selfie with Mama Mai in front of a display of giant Christmas ornaments and said this was a great way to kick off 2025.

Back in 2022, George said he was impressed by how much his tiny mother could eat during breakfast. In 2020, Mama Mai posed for a photo outside with a garden behind her. According to George’s Instagram updates, his mother’s birthday is on February 27. She turned 89 in 2025.

Our Take On Mama Mai’s Heartwarming Life Update

George & Mama Mai’s Bond Is Really Strong

The Price is Right's Drew Carey stands on the stage with a contestant named Lisa

Since George always gives a shoutout to Mama Mai on The Price Is Right, it’s not surprising that fans want to know what’s going on with her and if she still watches the show.

It’s adorable to see the mother-son relationship between her and George. It’s clear how much she means to him, and the on-air shoutouts and the updates on social media are just some of the proof of that. It doesn’t sound like Mama Mai has any intention of slowing down or stopping her daily routine of sending George a photo of his intro.

Jeopardy! Faces Backlash Over “The Pitt” Triple Stumper — Fans Say It Was Unfair and Confusing

“Jeopardy!” Season 42, October 6, 2025 episode. Contestants TJ Fisher, Brian Dixon, and Kate Kostelnik – Jeopardy.com

[Warning: The following post contains MAJOR spoilers for the Monday, October 6, episode of Jeopardy!]

Jeopardy! faced backlash over a Final Jeopardy triple stumper related to the drama The Pitt, with fans saying the final questions have been unusually difficult lately.

TJ Fisher, from San Francisco, California, returned for his third game on Monday, October 3. He played against Brian Dixon, from Atlanta, Georgia, and Kate Kostelnik, from Orlando, Florida. Fisher, a marketing specialist, has a two-day total of $38,889 after a rare Final Jeopardy wager in game two.

The beginning of the game did not start well for the contestants, as it was filled with Triple Stumpers and a few wrong answers. But by the first commercial break, Kostelnik, a personal trainer, had $2,000. Fisher had $200, and Dixon, a server, had $600, despite him only answering one clue.

When the game show returned, Fisher answered the first clue before finding the Daily Double on clue 17. He wagered the allotted $1,000 in “Possessive Phrases.” The clue read, “Pay TV programming wizard Jerry Harvey pioneered this version of films in a 1974 Wild Bunch screening honoring the Peckinpah vision.” He answered correctly with “What is the director’s cut?” giving him $1,200, and a move to second place.

The rest of the round seemed to be an even playing field between Fisher and Kostelnik, with Dixon picking up one correct answer. However, Kostelnik led the round with $4,800. Fisher had $2,400, and Dixon was trailing with -$600.

Despite Dixon not doing too well, he revealed to host Ken Jennings during the interviews that his mom played on the show 20 years ago. Fisher hopes to use his winnings to help reopen a local theater in his town. Kostelnik started a mobile fitness business with her husband.

In Double Jeopardy, Fisher picked up four correct responses before finding the first DD on clue eight. He wagered $3,200 in “Awards & Honors” with $5,200. The clue read, “The highest prize in British art is named for this multi-initialed man famed as ‘The Painter of Light’ for his land-& seascapes.” “Oooh, I sure hope it’s who is Turner?” he responded. Fisher was correct and moved up to $8,400.

Jeopardy! fans 'astonished' by rare triple stumper on 'incredibly difficult' board as Mark Fitzpatrick scores 2nd win

Fisher answered more clues correctly before Kostelnik found the second DD on clue 17. She had $4,800 and wagered $3,000. In “Pre-21st Century Fantasy Literature,” the clue read, “The main character of this ancient epic poem is described as ‘the man of twists & turns driven time & again off course.’”

    “Who is Odysseus?” she answered.

“I’m sorry, we needed the ancient epic poem, which is called The Odyssey, of course,” Jennings responded. She dropped down to $1,800.

Although there were a lot of Triple Stumpers the rest of the round, Fisher came out victorious with $21,200. Kostelnik and Dixon were both tied with $3,000.

The category for Final Jeopardy was “TV 2025.” The clue read, “The star of this new streaming drama said, ‘nobody could gain a pound, lose a pound… we had to look exactly the same for 7 months.’” The correct response was The Pitt, but none of the contestants got it right.

Kostelnik answered, “What is The Biggest Loser?” She wagered $0 and stayed at $3,000. Dixon lost all of his money when he answered, “What is Severance?” Fisher’s answer of “What is a very sad diet?” was wrong. He wagered $165, so he ended with $21,035.

Although he won three games, Ken Jennings said that he would be back for his third win tomorrow, when it is actually his fourth. Fisher had a three-day total of $59,924.

Fans were shocked that none of the contestants knew The Pitt, but many fans discussed its place as a Final Jeopardy clue. The Emmy-winning show is available only to those who have HBO Max, and many believe that clue would have been better suited for Pop Culture Jeopardy!.

“Judging the writers: They should realize that normal people outside of the entertainment industry have not memorized the story details of every streaming show. If the clue had simply stated the drama’s events take place over a certain number of hours instead of hinting at it, that would not have been a dead giveaway,” a Reddit user wrote.

“I’m shocked no one knew The Pitt,” said another.

“I think several of them this season have been poorly written. There should be something in the clue that you can use to lead you to the correct answer, but many times it seems like they just want people to take a guess, and that’s not indicative of good clue-writing to me,” another Reddit user said about the Final clue.

Mystery Surrounded The Price Is Right After It Was Pulled Off Air — Fans Demanded the Truth

Fans Rage As ‘The Price Is Right’ Abruptly Taken Off Air, Why?

The Price Is Right was abruptly taken off the air on Friday and fans took to social media to express their concerns. Why was the beloved game show interrupted and when will it return to its regular schedule? Continue reading to find out.

CBS Breaking News Report Interrupts The Price Is Right

Fans took to social media to beg CBS to put The Price Is Right back on when it was pulled from television on Friday. The network interrupted the show’s regular schedule for breaking news on Friday.

Right before The Price Is Right was slated to begin, CBS broke into the feed with breaking news from the Supreme Court. This cut off the first few minutes of the game show, which meant that viewers didn’t get to see the intro or the first contestant.

Drew Carey - YouTube/The Price Is Right

    YouTube/The Price Is Right

The Supreme Court ruled that hundreds of people were improperly charged in relation to January 6. CBS broke the news about the court’s decision, cutting off all regularly scheduled programming.

Instead of starting at the beginning, The Price Is Right picked back up six minutes after the breaking news alert was over. Viewers missed the first six minutes of the show and it cut in during a commercial break. Fans were furious.

They missed the introduction for Friday’s show as well as the first contestant winning their prize. Fans didn’t hesitate to take their complaints to social media.

Fans Beg CBS To Change Their Approach

Calling out CBS News, one user wrote, “Get off the air and put Price is Right on!” Another wrote, “@CBSNews OK Already! You told us about the ruling now get off the TV. You aren’t even saying anything relevant now.”

A third person chimed in, “I’ve been through enough these last 16 hours, CBS, I just wanna watch the Price is Right,” referring to Thursday night’s presidential debate. “I was watching the Price is Right and they broke in for breaking news about the Supreme Court,” yet another viewer complained.

Viewers know that this isn’t the first time the game show has been interrupted recently. In May, The Price Is Right was taken off air for another breaking news segment. This time, it was a speech from President Joe Biden addressing protests that were happening on college campuses around the United States.

Fans’ biggest complaint is that the news could wait until after the game show is over at noon. Typically, there is a news report at that time anyway, so unless the news is actually urgent, they shouldn’t interrupt regularly scheduled programming.

The Price Is Right left in chaos after ‘awkward’ mishap sends fans into meltdown

The Price Is Right is not a show that is known for having major mishaps, but one did happen in 2017 that left host Drew Carey and the rest of the CBS game show team in disbelief

    Drew Carey
Price Is Right’s Drew Carey in disbelief as unusual mishap occurs during airing (Image: (Image: CBS))

The Price is Right, hosted by Drew Carey on CBS, is known for its seamless operation. However, a rare and significant blunder occurred during an episode aired on 24th January 2017 that left everyone watching the episode on TV in shock.

The mishap happened when the host introduced a new round with a grand prize: a Cuisinart espresso machine, thermal programmable coffee maker, and coffee bean grinder. These were brought onto the stage on a flatbed pulled by a small-scale train engine.

The prizes were placed on a shaky table on the flatbed, yubi, which proved to be a poor decision. As the contestants guessed the price of the package, the entire prize fell and shattered into pieces, causing gasps from the live audience.

Carey responded with a nervous laugh as the last contestant humorously adjusted his guess to $1. “Whoops,” Carey chuckled, informing viewers they wouldn’t see the Price Train for some time.

Fans flooded the comments section of a YouTube video showing the blunder with laughter and praise. One viewer quipped: “The guy changing his bid to one dollar was the crowning touch. But I do have to give them credit for not even trying to edit the mishap out.”

Another joined in, saying: “That guy who said ‘one dollar’ is the best person on that show this year,” while a third howled: “Buddy killed it with the ‘1 dollar’ line.”

Someone else highlighted: “They handled that situation perfectly. It was awkward, or cringey or uncomfortable. Well done Drew and the $1 dollar guy lmao.”

A fellow fan commented: “I just think it’s awesome that they have the crew so quickly ready to go to clean it up. Really goes to show you how much work and effort goes on behind the scenes people aren’t even aware of.”

With light-hearted spirit, another joked: “Dude transitioned from retail to thrift store pricing in a heartbeat,” and a different user praised: “The tech crews on these shows are professionals, as are the writers and directors. They deserve our support during the strike.”

In a stunning revelation, this wasn’t the first time a prize has been smashed on the live game show.

Price Is Right model Rachel Reynolds drove a car into a stage wall once. Host Carey was having a chat with contestant Cameron when he found out he was playing for a brand-new Ford Mustang, which was driven onstage by a model who then accidentally bumped into the set.

Rachel didn’t hit the brakes in time, causing the car to careen across the stage and smash into a makeshift wall built for the show. The vehicle appeared unscathed, but the wall was wrecked.

“I’m so sorry Cameron,” she apologised, her cheeks flushing with mortification. Carey checked on Rachel, who was more worried about the car’s condition than her own.

“I think the car’s still okay,” she remarked. The veteran host reassured Cameron that he’d get a pristine car if he won, not one that had been in a collision.

“This is going to be a damaged, used car. We’ll get you a brand new one,” he promised.

‘The Price Is Right’ Plinko Nightmare Costs Player $50,000 – See Drew Carey React

    Price is Right Instagram

A contestant on Wednesday’s (November 13) episode of The Price is Right had an absolute nightmare experience playing Plinko as she landed on FOUR zeroes in a row.

The player in question was Kelly LeBlanc, who made her way up from Contestant’s Row to the main stage. LeBlanc had a chance to play Plinko, the most popular game in the history of The Price is Right. There was a possible jackpot of $50,000 up for grabs.

For those unfamiliar, Plinko involves dropping a flat disc down the Plinko board in hopes of landing in one of the money slots at the bottom. The contestant is given one disc to start and can earn up to four more by guessing the price of four small prizes.

LeBlanc had to guess the correct digit in four different items from their two-digit prices; this included an 8-piece gardening set, a 17 oz water bottle, a fruit and veggie peeler, and a steam iron. She nailed each one, giving her five discs to play with on the Plinko board.

With encouragement from host Drew Carey, LeBlanc made her way to the top of the board and dropped her first disc. The nine slots (in order) include the values of $100, $500, $1,000, $0, and $10,000. That meant if LeBlanc could land each of her five discs in the $10,000 slot, she’d walk away with $50,000.

Unfortunately, her first disc landed in the zero slot. “Just forget that ever happened,” Carey said. “That was close.”

LeBlanc then dropped her second disc and once again landed in the zero slot. “Come on, y’all, give me some good luck,” she called to the studio audience.

After dropping her third disc and landing in the zero slot again, LeBlanc looked absolutely shocked. “What in the heck?” Carey said. “Three zeroes in a row!”

Unbelievably, LeBlanc’s fourth disc also landed in the zero slot. She hung her head in disbelief and said, “What is going on?!”

Thankfully, LeBlanc’s final disc landed in the $1,000 slot, meaning she didn’t walk away empty-handed, even if it wasn’t the $50,000 she could have had with some better luck.

“Thank god! A thousand bucks!” Carey stated before telling LeBlanc, “Don’t leave the house without an umbrella today.”

Fans couldn’t believe LeBlanc’s bad luck and took to social media to share their reactions.

“Man I felt bad for her!! 4 straight zeros,” wrote one Instagram user.

“This was tough to watch. She had all those chips, and hit zero for times in a row. I’m glad she ended up with something. Never seen it and like that,” said another.

Another added, “I have never in my life seen anyone get so many zeros on Plinko.”

Others said LeBlanc didn’t have the best technique, with one viewer on Reddit writing, “If she would have tried putting the chips IN THE MIDDLE, she might have had better luck.”

“Seriously! Like even if you don’t know the math backs that up how is it just not common sense to do that?” replied another.

“That was not the best technique – Drew once said in an interview he thought putting the chip between the N & K were the best odds,” said another fan on Instagram.

While some fans suggested dropping down the middle is the best way to win Plinko, it didn’t help a contestant last month. In fact, Carey told the contestant to drop from the middle and it ended up backfiring big time.

The Price Is Right is inviting fans to come on down.

In honor of the game show celebrating its 50th anniversary later this fall, The Price Is Right host Drew Carey announced The Price Is Right Come On Down Tour. The longest-running game show in TV history will be coming to fans in major cities across the U.S. starting on Friday, March 25 with the first stop at Santa Monica Pier in California.

Fans who attend the one-day launch event will get to play Plinko, spin the wheel and compete for a showdown. What’s more, folks will also win prizes that support local businesses with “deep ties” to the original premiere date back in September 1972. After The Price Is Right fans enjoy a game day by the beach complete with a lit up Santa Monica Pier Ferris wheel, viewers will have a chance to win a grand prize of $50,000. According to the show’s website, fans who are at least 18 years of age can enter the sweepstakes one time from March 25 to May 27. A winner’s name will be drawn on May 30.

Upon hearing the happy news, fans couldn’t contain their excitement. “What?! What!! WHATTTT!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩,” one person wrote on Instagram. “OMG I literally HAVE to go When you come to DENVER 🙌🙌🏻🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼,” another added. “See you in Drew’s hometown!! If you’re interested in attending The Price Is Right Come On Down Tour, check out the scheduled stops below. You can also sign up to potentially become a contestant on the show. Though the tour will consist of 50 stops at “America’s most iconic locations,” there will only be a handful of sites where fans can participate. It’s important to note that proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required at the door and must be in-hand before entering events. So far, we know the tour is stopping in:

Los Angeles, California – Friday, March 25

Denver, Colorado – Friday, April 1

Dallas, Texas – Thursday, April 7

New Orleans, Louisiana – Friday, April 15

Nashville, Tennessee – Friday, April 22

Cleveland, Ohio – Friday, May 6

New York, New York – Wednesday, May 18

While we don’t know if Drew will be at all of the tour stops, he’s previously expressed how close he keeps the show and fans to his heart. As viewers may know, the actor and comedian was named the successor of longtime host Bob Barker in 2007.

“Hosting The Price Is Right has been a dream job for me,” Drew told Deadline in August 2021. “I really never thought my safe space would be on a sound stage, wearing a mic, cameras on me constantly, and with millions of people watching. But that’s what The Price Is Right is for me. I love it.”
