The Amazing Race Has Been Renewed For Another Season

CBS officially announced another season of The Amazing Race in February, and posted the announcement to Instagram in March. According to reports, season 38 will feature some familiar faces and has already been filmed. Parade reported that airing two seasons in one year is a rare occurrence, as it’s only the second time in the last 10 years that the network has done so.

Longtime host Phil Keoghan is set to return.

Dutch media outlets began reporting in March that The Amazing Race had been spotted filming in Hoorn, Netherlands. From there, the teams were spotted in the Czech Republic, Italy, Croatia, and Romania. Filming reportedly ended in April, which means The Amazing Race season 38 is a done deal. Hardcore fans of the series love to follow the show’s filming in real time, with eagle-eyed internet sleuths sharing tidbits that help them piece together their whereabouts.

Steve Harvey Has Been Really ANGRY As ‘Family Feud’ host was Offended By Contestant Right on Live

Steve Harvey Offended By ‘Celebrity Family Feud’ Contestant

It seems like hosting a game show would be fun, but during the time that Steve Harvey has hosted Family Feud, he’s had to face some challenges. Sometimes he deals with confusion, sometimes he deals with lookalikes, and sometimes he deals with contestants who inadvertently take digs at him.

One said mustaches are sleazy, another said bald men look older, and now, a celebrity has joined the ranks of those who have upset the host.

During a recent episode of Celebrity Family Feud, the original 2003 cast of Queer Eye faced off against the guys from Netflix’s reboot. As original member Ted Allen faced Antoni Porowski, they were asked to “name a TV host who always makes you laugh out loud.” Even though there was one standing right in front of him, Porowski answered “Alex Trebek.” Needless to say, Steve was a little put off, and Antoni quickly realized he messed up, and not just because Trebek wasn’t on the board.

Ted rang in and guessed Steve, which was the number one answer. Meanwhile, Harvey was still shocked from what happened, asking the audience, “Did he just say ‘Alex Trebek?’” As Antoni tried to explain that he thought Steve meant other than himself, the host stated, “You said Alex Trebek. The worst I’ve ever felt. One of the great TV show hosts of all time. One of my heroes on Jeopardy. Hasn’t told a joke ever. And let me tell you something, if I hadn’t been number one, I’d torn this card up and walked off. I’m not going to be second on my own d–n show. Who the hell they think they saying?”

The original crew wound up getting the points for the round and went on to win the game.

They were even successful in the bonus round, earning $25,000 for The Trevor Project, a non-profit focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth.

“Wheel of Fortune” Celebrates Good Fortune While “Jeopardy!” Navigates Difficult Times. The Latest Scoop!

Wheel of Fortune beats Jeopardy!’s ratings by 1m since Ryan Seacrest took over as Ken Jennings told to ‘watch his back’

WHEEL of Fortune has surged past Jeopardy! in ratings by over 1 million viewers after Ryan Seacrest took over for Pat Sajak.

Wheel of Fortune kicked off Season 42 on September 9 with new host Ryan, 49, making his highly anticipated debut on the ABC game show.

Though Ryan has had a series of mishaps since the premiere, over a million viewers have tuned in to watch the famous host.

The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal that 8,310,000 viewers watched Wheel of Fortune for the premiere week of September 9 to September 15.

As for rival game show Jeopardy!, which is hosted by Ken Jennings, 7,113,000 viewers tuned in for the episodes.

Family Feud came in the number three spot for syndicated television with 6,792,000.

Wheel of Fortune taking over the top spot is a shock, as Jeopardy! brought in more viewers overall last season.

    JOB IN JEOPARDY?

The former American Idol star’s success on the game show could mean trouble for Ken, 50.

A source previously told The U.S. Sun, “Ryan is bringing a sense of youth and urgency to the job that is a lot harder to pull off than it looks, and Wheel is bound to get a bump in the numbers once his episodes start running in September.

“My advice to Ken is that just because Mayim is out of the picture doesn’t mean he shouldn’t watch his back.”

Ken and The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik shared hosting duties until she was let go from the show in 2023.

“In most media markets these shows run back-to-back and Ken needs to make sure he doesn’t suffer from the contrast with Ryan,” the insider continued to claim.

Wheel of Fortune’s Ryan Seacrest slammed for huge mistake and having ‘no empathy’ in contestant’s ‘devastating’ $1m loss
“It’s a tricky situation because their personalities are so radically different from one another.”

A second source told The U.S. Sun that while Ken currently has no long-term contract with the show, he has made it known to higher-ups that he would like to host for the long haul.

“Jeopardy! is Ken’s religion; he lives it, and he breathes it, and despite all the outside pressures, he’s not going to mess this up,” the insider claimed.

“He’s proud to have worked his way into this position and believes he has what it takes to make it last for decades to come.”

The source continued, “What he really wants more than anything is to stick around and make this position work for the long run.

“And if that means making less money to ensure his longevity, you can bet your life he’d be game.

“This isn’t all about the money. It’s a way of life for Ken and then some. He’s in it for the long run and to secure his status in the show’s history.”

Ken has a 74-game streak as a contestant, taking home $2.5 million.

He has made a total of $4.3 million from the game show with tournaments.

    RYAN’S MISTAKES

Ryan had trouble adjusting to his role as host during the first few episodes.

On the premiere episode, a contestant mispronounced the word “ripened” while solving a puzzle.

Ryan ignored the mishap and granted the player the win.

“I thought he said the wrong word but when Ryan said he was correct, I assumed I misheard,” one fan wrote on Instagram.

“Why would the producers allow him to win the puzzle when he was wrong? Not a good way to start the new season, especially with a new host,” another viewer added.

“I don’t like the fact that Terry mispronounced the winning trip puzzle and he won it!!!! Pat would have said, ‘I’m sorry, Terry that’s not the answer,’” another said.

“Really surprised that the mistake wasn’t caught. He definitely said ‘ripeing’ instead of ‘ripened,’” a third pointed out.

“I agree – I agree, Ryan is fired after the first episode,” a viewer demanded.

For his second night as host, he failed to explain the rules to a contestant, causing her to lose a million-dollar prize.

“Pat would’ve explained that if she took the risk, she would’ve lost the million-dollar wedge,” one X user wrote.

“Pat would always remind the contestants if they look under the $10,000 they could lose their $1 million wedge. Ryan needs to do this too…” wrote a second.

    Wheel of Fortune’s big changes

The game show has undergone a major transformation now that Ryan Seacrest has taken over hosting duties for Pat Sajak.

-Ryan and Vanna White now host on a brand-new set, featuring a blue-toned stage, a green screen and art-deco wheel design.

-Ryan and Vanna make their big entrance from behind new sliding, brightly lit doors.

-Vanna turns – or now, touches – a modern, digital puzzle board controlled by lasers.

-Ryan brings a new hosting style, and has ditched Pat’s signature cue cards.

-The prizes have also been upgraded, and now include tickets to NFL games, and tickets to A-list concerts.

Then on the September 16 episode, contestant Vivian made it to the bonus round to solve the “What Are You Doing?” puzzle.

Vivan picked “C, H, M and P” for consonants, while she picked the letter “I” for her vowel.

Vivian screamed out trying to solve the puzzle, “Wondering some help, answering some help, finding some help, looking around for some help, boundary for help.”

The buzzer then went off, as Vivian couldn’t solve the puzzle, which read “offering some help.”

Ryan showed the audience the prize, as they gasped when they saw $1 million.

Ryan smiled and laughed as he said, “You were so close to that million dollars. You almost had it.”

Vivan had trouble speaking and looked visibly upset as Ryan said, “Are you alright? Breathe! You’re still walking away with $27,300 and that trip to Europe.”

Fans weren’t happy with how Ryan handled the loss.

One viewer wrote, “Ryan doesn’t show the envelope correctly. He keeps showing to the contestant when he should be showing it to the audience and viewers at home.

“Also, he didn’t handle the distraught contestant too well.”

A second agreed, “I hear ya. It’s more devastating maybe than he realizes.”

A third complained, “He’s gotta work on his empathy skills. Lol yikes!! Can he even remember what it’s like to not be rich?!”

“Ryan laughed at her, I felt – Pat was way more demure about it,” another said.

A fifth wrote, “Didn’t Ryan say something like ‘You’re going to kick yourself’ or something like that? While Pat acted like somebody died. I’m not here to pile on Ryan but I preferred Pat’s approach better.”

Wheel of Fortune and Pat Sajak fans have been dealt a devastating blow about the celebrity version of the game show. Read on to find out what’s going on with Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.

When Does Celebrity Wheel of Fortune Come Back?

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune was set to premiere on October 14, but sadly, the date has been pushed back considerably. The show will now air beginning mid-season — and it’s all due to football.

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune will now premiere in 2025, according to an October 11 press release from ABC. “Celebrity Wheel of FortunePress Your Luck and ABC News’ Scamanda will premiere in 2025,” ABC said in a press release shared with TVLine. ABC is adding “six Monday Night Football simulcasts to its previously announced schedule,” forcing the network to bump Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.

The statement explained: “ABC is a destination for marquee NFL programming including, as part of our new deal, Super Bowl 61 (February 2027), the first of two. The decision to add more simulcast games was made in conjunction with the NFL and is just for the 2024-25 season. This schedule leans into the cross-promotional opportunities maximizing the reach of NFL programming across the Disney ecosystem. ESPN has already aired four exclusive games during 2024 season and will have three additional exclusive games, with two in November and one in December. There are 25 Games on ESPN’s 2024 NFL Schedule.”

The statement added: “Furthermore, this move will give the ABC game shows Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and Press Your Luck a more consistent, weekly run in midseason when there are less preemptions (i.e. football, 2024 election).”

So far, there’s no firm date set for the premiere of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. Some of the episodes have already been filmed since it was expected to air in October 2024.

In June, Sajak announced he was leaving his hosting job at Wheel of Fortune but fans were thrilled that he would be on hand to give his final spin on the celebrity version. Ryan Seacrest took over hosting duties for Sajak beginning with Season 42 of the original game show.

The Celebrity Wheel of Fortune trailer, which was shared earlier this month on the show’s Instagram, has now been removed. In the video, Sajak, standing alongside Vanna White, said, “Get ready for an all-new season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.” She noted, “Big names, big laughs, and big wins for charity.”

The post’s caption promised: “The stars are coming out for Pat’s final spin! See you October 14 for the season premiere of #CelebrityWheelOfFortune.”

Among the stars competing for $1 million to go to the charity of their choosing are: Rainn Wilson, Ellie Kemper, and Oscar Nuñez from The Office, Josh Gad, Justin Long, and Rachael Harris, who appeared on New Girl, and Veep stars Sam Richardson, Randall Park, and Matt Walsh. Tiffany Haddish, Regina Hall, Joe Manganiello, Katharine McPhee, Andrew Rannells, Pete Holmes, and Cameron Brink are also set to appear.

Ryan Seacrest replaced longtime host Pat Sajak for season 42

“Wheel of Fortune” fans criticized the new game show set after Ryan Seacrest replaced former longtime host Pat Sajak.

During the beloved game show’s Toss Up challenges, the three contestants were displayed at the bottom of the screen in separate boxes. In previous episodes, the players were showcased at the top.

Fans noticed this change and expressed how much they despised the new setup.

    Wheel of Fortune changes

“Ryan is ok but hate the new set,” a viewer shared on a “Wheel of Fortune” Reddit forum.

“Also hate them showing the contestants at [the] bottom during the toss ups. It’s a distraction. I just want to see the puzzle! Why do they always feel like they need to change things just [because] there’s a new host.”

    Ryan Seacrest on stage

Other fans were quick to agree with the initial comment and were visibly upset about the new look.

“The three box was nauseating,” another comment read. “Let the viewer focus on the puzzle!”

“I’m not going to watch because the set is such garbage, tbh,” one person wrote. “It’s bright, distracting, and cheap.”

“Ugly is too nice a word for what they did,” another fan commented.

An additional “Wheel of Fortune” viewer chimed in and said, “I will concur that the set – despite the nod to the 80s set – does look like in need of more improvement. The new Toss-up/Speed-up round angles also don’t do any justice either…”

Many fans pointed out that they enjoyed Seacrest as a host but miss Sajak.

“Seacrest is OK, though it will be awhile before I stop missing Sajak’s style of patter with the contestants,” one comment read.

Another fan added, “Ryan is a good enough host. The new set is too much. I’m not a fan.”

The new “Wheel of Fortune” critiques came after Seacrest debuted on the game show Monday night.

Although Seacrest recognized he had stepped into a major role, he did not mention Sajak’s name when he opened the show.

After Seacrest and co-host Vanna White were introduced, the new “Wheel of Fortune” host shared his sentiments.

“I am your host, Ryan Seacrest. I still can’t believe my luck of being here with you tonight to continue this legacy of this incredible show with all of you. And of course, my good friend Vanna White,” he shared during his monologue.

Pat Sajak and Vanna White in a promo shoot for "Wheel of Fortune."

“Thank you for the very warm welcome,” Seacrest said. “Hosting ‘Wheel of Fortune’ is a dream job. I’ve been a fan of this show since I was a kid watching it in Atlanta with my family. And I know how special it is that ‘Wheel’ has been in your living rooms for the past 40 years. And I’m just so grateful to be invited in. I also know I’ve got some very big shoes to fill. So, let’s play ‘Wheel of Fortune.’”

Although Seacrest mentioned he had “big shoes to fill,” Sajak’s name was absent in his introduction.

“Wheel of Fortune” announced Seacrest would take over for Sajak in June 2023 following the host’s retirement.

Ryan Seacrest took over as the host of Wheel of Fortune in Season 42 after Pat Sajak announced his retirement from the game show. Fans have noticed significant changes to Wheel since Seacrest took over, and some of them aren’t positive. Many think the new host talks too much!

Reddit users initiated the conversation. The original poster wondered if it was just them or if other fans noticed some things as well: More bankruptcies have been spun, the person who wins the prize puzzle usually wins the game (especially since the trips are worth more money these days), cohost Vanna White wears pants more often instead of dresses, and the contestants spin the wheel for the final puzzle instead of the host.

“How is everyone feeling about Ryan? I miss Pat, though I think Ryan is engaging and interesting. He’s light-hearted and has quick comebacks. What other changes have people noticed?” the person wrote.

“I really love Ryan and feel he genuinely connects with the contestants. I agree about hitting more bankrupts, AND it seems most of the bonus rounds are 40K,” another said.

“I think Ryan is doing great. He is very likable and fits right in,” mentioned a third.

A few fans pointed out that Sajak stopped spinning the wheel after COVID-19, so this would make sense as to why Seacrest doesn’t do it.

A positive change that a fan pointed out is that Seacrest high fives and hugs the contestants after the Bonus Round, whereas Sajak would just walk away.

“Ryan is way more generationally comfortable touching and hugging people in a way that Pat wasn’t (which was hilarious but understandable). Ryan also attracts more (lady) contestants jumping to hug him after they solve the bonus round, so there’s that bonus for them,” a fan said.

This was seen on the February 21 episode when a contestant screamed in Seacrest’s ear and jumped to hug him. An ex-TV anchor squeezed the host tight after she won $90,000 on the February 20 episode. In January, one contestant even knocked him to the ground after winning.

“Also, with the closing credits, when Pat hosted, the winning contestant is brought back onstage during the promotional fee plugs. Under Ryan, we see them being brought back out onstage as soon as they start rolling, something that was rarely done under Pat,” a lot of fans mentioned.

One negative change that fans pointed out is they think Seacrest “talks too much.”

“Ryan talks too much, I don’t like it. Not enough play time, Pat had just the right amount of interaction,” a fan said.

“Too much talking. Half the show is that now, it seems,” said another.

One fan said they think that Seacrest doesn’t “engage enough” with the contestants.

Many Reddit users said that they don’t show the game board enough on screen, which makes the watchers at home not able to guess. “And they don’t show the game board enough, making it hard to solve at home. Why spend so much time watching the wheel turn?” a fan wrote. To that, fans replied that they also don’t show the scores enough.

“Yes! When someone hits bankrupt, their score disappears so fast I can’t see how much they lost,” a Reddit user said.

Fans also blamed Seacrest on the February 12 episode for not warning a contestant that he could be Bankrupted. Stephen Bailey landed on a wedge where he could win $10,000 or lose all of his money. He picked it up before Seacrest could tell him that and wound up at $0. He also lost his Wild Card and cruise.

“I wish Ryan would remind people that they’re not just risking the cash when they flip it. At least Pat would mention the Wild Card, any cardboard, etc.” A Reddit user said.

About White, one fan said, “Vanna has definitely been dressing down lately. Haven’t seen her in an evening gown in a while.”

“She’s dressing younger, hipper,” said another.

Drew Carey Calls Out the ‘Price Is Right' Audience Members in Tense Moment

The 66-year-old comedian delivered a sharp-witted comeback to his audience after they reacted unfavorably to a contestant named Brian during one of the game show’s signature segments, “Switcheroo.”

In a video shared on Instagram on Dec. 16, Brian faced a 30-second challenge to match missing numbers with five prizes: a car, an ice scraper, a massager, an iron, and a pillow. Unlike most players who rush to make quick guesses, Brian approached the task with calm precision, carefully considering each choice before locking in his answers.

“20 seconds,” Carey said as Brian made his selections. “He’s not rushing as much as everyone else that plays this game does.”

With just 10 seconds left on the clock, Brian arranged the numbered blocks in what he believed to be the correct order. However, as the buzzer sounded, the audience reacted with disappointment, groaning at the outcome of his final choices.

Carey appeared genuinely chagrined by the audience’s protests.

“Well, good morning, judgmental!” the host shot back.

How the ‘Price Is Right’ Contestant Drew Carey Defended Came Out on Top…

Although the audience reacted with disapproval, Carey revealed that Brian had answered two questions correctly. The host noted that one of Brian’s correct answers could potentially win him the car. Undeterred, Brian requested an additional 30 seconds on the clock for another attempt.

He returned to the board and rearranged the blocks for the car, but soon second-guessed his decision. Hesitating, he reset the board to its original arrangement before making a last-minute adjustment, opting instead for the lower-stakes prizes.

In a tense moment, Carey revealed that with the adjustments, Brian only had one answer right.

A clearly defeated Brian muttered “Uh-oh…” as a hopeful Carey added, “Hopefully it is the car.”

Carey then revealed the big news: Brian just scored himself a shiny new Toyota Corolla.

“Oh my God!” Brian blurted as he sprinted off the stage in excitement.

Meanwhile, The Price is Right fans were kinder in the Instagram comments than they were in the live studio audience…

“One is all you need!!! Awesome win,” one fan wrote. “Good thing he left the number that mattered most alone, wow!” another fan added. “Crazy! Lady Luck was looking down at him!” yet another fan exclaimed.

Henry’s wife Alice filled in for Henry when it came time for the contestant to spin the wheel. Alice spun a 95 out of 100 on the wheel, prompting more celebration. “Don’t hurt yourself,” Carey joked.

Jokes aside, the post also included a reassuring update on the contestant’s post-injury condition.

“Henry is feeling better and all healed now!” the show wrote.

Toward the end of the first round of competitors, Drew welcomed the three players over to the wheel for the Showcase Showdown.

He told a woman named Hilary to “start us off” as the first to spin the wheel that day.

She wore a bright pink sweater and red glasses as excitedly spun the wheel.

During this game, the players are spinning to see who gets to advance to the show’s finals.

Each player can spin the wheel, which features various values up to $1, up to two times with the goal of being the contestant with the highest value that doesn’t exceed $1.

Hilary landed on $0.20 and decided to go again, but as she jumped up and down in anticipation, Drew watched the wheel and screamed as he realized it was set to land at $0.90, making her total higher than $1.

That meant she was immediately eliminated from The Price Is Right, and it was time for the next person’s turn.

    MIGHTY MISHAP

While finishing up with Hilary and preparing to welcome the next player, an accident took place.

He should Hilary’s hand but was already looking over to player number two off to the side.

Drew quickly lifted up his hand, face open, to usher a contestant named Chandler over to the wheel, but Hilary hadn’t yet had time to move from her position.

The longtime host ended up accidentally hitting Hilary in the face, knocking her glasses off.

“Oh, sorry!” Drew quickly told her, before continuing to say, “Sorry, so sorry!”

He held onto her shoulder as he apologized, and she laughed it off, as did her competitors standing behind her.

Once she moved out of the way and Chandler stepped up to the wheel, Drew took another moment to joke about the mishap.

He moved both of his arms all around, teasing that that accident happened because he was just “flailing away.”

    SHOCKED VIEWERS

Viewers at home couldn’t believe what they had just witnessed on the beloved game show.

One fan shared a clip of the moment on an online forum and wrote, “Drew slaps contestant in the face!”

“I looked away for a second so I didn’t know exactly what he did, lol,” a second said, before adding. “Well, he did say sorry.”

“Having your glasses knocked off your face is never not clumsy and embarrassing,” a third concerned fan commented.

“Geez…I really need to start watching the show instead of having it on in the background,” another viewer joked.

“This was hilarious lol,” one fan simply wrote.
