‘Weakest Link’ Gets a NEW TWIST for the FIRST TIME EVER

‘Weakest Link’ Gets a New Twist & Moves to Fox From NBC

    Jane Lynch
    NBC YouTube

Weakest Link is returning for a new season with an all-celebrity edition, but for the first time ever, it will air on Fox!

As announced on Monday (May 12), the popular game show is moving from NBC to Fox for its upcoming season. Hosted by Jane Lynch, the rapid-fire quiz show will see eight celebrities competing to win up to $1 million for a charity of their choice.

Despite the change in network, the format remains the same. The show will see the celebs answering general knowledge questions and banking money as a group across multiple rounds. At the end of each round, the contestants vote out who they believe is the weakest link, leading Lynch to deliver the iconic “You are the Weakest Link. Goodbye.”

Weakest Link, based on the British format, originally aired on NBC in 2001-02 with Anne Robinson as host. It was revived in July 2020 with Lynch in Robinson’s role; it premiered on NBC on September 29, 2020, and aired three seasons, with the last airing in 2023.

Speaking to the media ahead of Fox’s Monday upfront, Fox network president Michael Thorn said a big part of reviving Weakest Link was getting Lynch “back on the network.” Lynch was one of the stars of Glee, which ran for six seasons on Fox between 2010 and 2016.

“She’s amazing, and we’re thrilled to have her be back on Fox,” Thorn said, per The Hollywood Reporter. “But the other part of it is we saw an opportunity to have a celebrity game night on Monday night and to have that as real strong counter-programming in the fall. And so when it became available, it just felt like a signature piece of IP and something that could really blend in with our game shows.”

    Weakest Link - NBC.com

In addition to Weakest Link, Fox is also reviving Fear Factor, another show that originally aired on NBC. When asked if the decision to bring these shows to Fox was in response to NBC clearing its schedule for the incoming NBA rights, Thorn said it was more of a “strategic programming decision.”

“I think it’s very similar to the answer we gave a little bit earlier where this was several months ago, Weakest Link, we saw an opportunity to add it to our great roster of game shows and it’s great IP with an unbelievable host with Jane Lynch,” he stated. “And as we were mentioning earlier, there’s a really fun opportunity, we think, for our audience to have a celebrity game that night along with Name That Tune and Celebrity Weakest Link. So that was kind of a strategic programming decision we made months ago.”

Weakest Link and Fear Factor are two of six new series Fox is adding to its lineup for the next broadcast season. The network has also picked up the competition series 99 to Beat, hosted by Ken Jeong and Erin Andrews, the one-hour comedy Best Medicine, the dramatic thriller Memory of a Killer, and the multi-part scripted event The Faithful.

Steve Harvey Breaks Down Crying During Emotional Birthday Surprise!

If anyone in this world deserves celebrating, it’s Steve Harvey!

The TV host, author, philanthropist and family man will celebrate his 58th birthday on Saturday, and in honor of this special day, the people of his home and hometown came together with some surprises on The Steve Harvey Show. The cameras were rolling for all of this, of course, and as you’ll see, the man of the hour was incredibly moved by all the love!

In one emotional moment, the birthday boy learned that not only has the mayor of Cleveland declared January 17 to be “Steve Harvey Day,” but the city also renamed the portion of E. 112th Street he grew up on as “Steve Harvey Way”!

His sister Mona stood on the street outside their childhood home, telling Steve, “We’re here because we love you…If mom and dad were here, dad would be saying, ‘Do you know I’m his daddy?’ and mama would be just shaking her head! We love you, Steve!”

This is where the waterworks began! The father of seven burst into tears, unable to contain his emotion. Before things got too weepy, though, cheerleaders from a local school burst onto the scene and did some custom “S-T-E-V-E” chants and dances!

In another portion of the show, Steve was surprised by Alan Fox, an author and philanthropist committed to educating children. Steve was moved to tears once more when he learned his guest, calling himself “a kindred spirit,” made a $200,000 to the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation!

The “happy crying” continued even further when all seven of Steve’s kids came on the show and shared their favorite moment with the devoted dad.

“This is my best TV moment,” he gushed. “I’m not the person I used to be. It’s not about me anymore…I ain’t working for me. I’m working for them. I’ve got four full-time jobs for them. It’s so that when…when I’m done, I want you all to just have remembered that somebody cared more about you than himself. I want you to care more about someone else than yourself.”

“I will defend your honor until I die. I love all of you,” he said. “This is what it is for me. This is the greatest moment I’ve ever had. I’m very proud to be your father.”

Price Is Right host Drew Carey was pulled to the ground by a contestant – and we’re not sure he was either

Price Is Right contestant gets a little too over-enthusiastic and sends host Drew Carey flying

We appreciate the prospect of winning prizes on a game show might excite a few people – but this contestant just took it to the next level.

The over-enthusiastic woman in question had been taking part on the US TV staple The Price Is Right earlier this week, and got very excited when she made it through one round ahead of her competitors.

So excited, in fact, that she tried to grab host Drew Carey in a hug – and succeeded in knocking him over instead.

It’s safe to say we weren’t expecting that – and we’re not sure he was either. Although he and the contestant (who also ended up on the floor) did quickly get back on their feet again in a bid to regain some order.

We couldn’t imagine this happening on Alan Carr’s reboot of the show.

As it happened the contestant – who went by the name of Sona – had pretty short-lived celebrations, after she missed out on the jackpot prize when she failed to correctly guess the price of a car.

She did, however, go home with $3,000 so it wasn’t all bad news.

This wasn’t meant to happen (Picture: Price Is Right)
And it’s not the first time that someone’s ended up on the floor on The Price Is Right either – remember when this happened back in 2015?

This is clearly getting to be a Price is Right habit then…

Drew Carey isn’t afraid to call out unruly audience members.

The Price Is Right host, 66, had a quippy response to his audience after the crowd negatively reacted to a contestant named Brian as he answered one of the game show’s iconic segments, Switcheroo.

In a clip uploaded to Instagram on Dec. 16, Brian had 30 seconds on the clock to assign missing numbers to five prizes that included a car, an ice scraper, a massager, an iron and a pillow. Instead of rushing to insert the blocks like typical players, Brian took his time to make sure he was confident in his answers.

“25 seconds,” Carey said of the time left on the clock. “20 seconds. He’s not rushing as much as everyone else that plays this game does.”

After Brian moved the numbered blocks into positions he felt were the correct answer, Brian finished the game with 10 seconds remaining. When the buzzer finally went off, the audience wasn’t impressed with his choices and groaned at the final result.

Carey seemed to be taken aback and took a short pause before saying, “Well good morning, judgmental!”

Despite their disapproving reactions, Carey revealed that Brian got two answers correct. The game show host added that one of his correct answers might be the car and Brian asked for another 30 seconds on the clock to try again.

He went back to the board and switched the blocks for the car, but second guessed the changes and put the board back to the way it was before making a last minute swap for the lower stakes prizes.

With the new changes, Carey revealed that Brian had only one answer correct.

“Uh oh,” Brian grimaced as Carey added, “Hopefully it is the car.”

The television personality then revealed that Brian had won a brand new Toyota Corolla.

“Oh my God!” Brian yelled with delight as he ran off screen.

Entrepreneurs who come up with simple solutions for everyday problems often gain a lot of attention and lucrative deals on “Shark Tank.” One such product that turned up on the show was a sauce holder. When the entrepreneurs pitched their solution for this problem and no one loved it more than Kevin O’Leary. He believed that he could “take over the world” with that business.

The company is called Saucemoto, and its three founders were Tony Lahood, William Moujaes, and Michael Koury. They sought $45,000 for a 15% stake in their company. Their pitch was hilarious and entertaining to each of the five sharks. However, only two of them made offers. With only $77,000 in sales, Mark Cuban knew that it was going to be a lot of effort to make it big, and he didn’t want to do that. Barbara Corcoran simply did not believe that the rewards would be worth the time and effort. Lori Greiner never really got a chance to get an offer. The two sharks who did were O’Leary and Robert Herjavec. Mr. Wonderful made a ridiculous offer at first, asking for 50% of the entire business for $45,000. Obviously, the entrepreneurs did not accept, but he still made some strong points about what he could bring to the table.
Screenshot showing the Saucemoto product. (Image credit: YouTube | Shark Tank Global)Screenshot showing the Saucemoto product. (Image source: YouTube | Shark Tank Global)
Herjavec made them a better offer as he wanted 40% for $45,000. However, he was more impressed by the entrepreneurs than the product. Mr. Wonderful then made a much more reasonable offer, asking for 25% of the business and becoming an equal partner. This was a more acceptable deal to the entrepreneurs, who did not take very long to say yes. “We are going to take over the world with this,” he said.

There were several hilarious moments throughout the segment, but perhaps the funniest was when Corcoran asked Tony Lahood if he was even excited about being on “Shark Tank.” Lahood’s natural speaking voice was a lot lower than that of his partners. It seemed like a match made in heaven, but the deal ultimately wasn’t made between the two parties. Lahood appeared on the “Everything Money” podcast to talk about what happened.

“Truth be told, we wanted to work with Kevin. We love Kevin. Kevin’s awesome. I mean, his team is amazing. Everyone who works with them is amazing. We just…you know, at the end of the day, we didn’t see eye to eye on some of the terms,” he said. The company has done well after its appearance on the show, as per a report in The Daily Meal.

It’s not uncommon for companies with useful products to gain a lot of traction from their appearance on the show. Consistently making good products is the challenge. Saucemoto is still in business and sells the product in different colors now, and has a decent 4.6-star average customer rating on Amazon.

“Family Feud” host Steve Harvey is one of the slickest personalities on TV right now, and his wife Marjorie has been behind it for 17 years. However, a recent video of the pair has gone viral for their fashion choices, and also for Harvey’s etiquette choice when it comes to escorting his wife. The short clip showcases the couple at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix walking hand-in-hand. Harvey posted the short video on his Facebook page, but according to Parade, fans criticized the seasoned host for placing himself on the wrong side while guiding his wife away from the paparazzi.

“Walking on the wrong side of his wife, men our age know better, as should he…!” Shawn B. Mickens called out the host for displaying questionable manners. “Steve always talking about man training……but why is his wife walking on the outside side….lol” Linda Spence noted. “Couple of old people trying to dress young,” Chuck Oliver critiqued their dressing style. However, few fans loved their coordinated moves, “Steve Harvey be sharp all the time! He has a good stylist, and I’m sure his wife puts her touch in it too! He’s not afraid of color. Love it!” Lynette Williams gushed. “Ah, wearing my favorite color! My 90-year-old Mama thinks Steve Harvey is the best. She’s always said he was the best-dressed man ever, said no one can wear a suit like Steve. Sharp!” Angela M McCleskey lauded.

Harvey confessed that he met his future wife during one of the worst financial phases of his life. “When I first dated Marjorie, it was in the eighties. We met in the eighties in Memphis at a comedy club. And when I met her, I wasn’t really making that kind of money,” he revealed while recalling his first date with Marjorie.

However, fate had different things in store for them. The couple didn’t date right away because Harvey struggled with a low income. Years later, when they were respectively divorced, they struck a chord after a reunion at a casino. “I’ve been with her ever since. Ain’t never leave her after that,” he gushed about their bond. The couple tied the knot in 2007 and live a harmonious life with their blended family. Meanwhile, Harvey continues to regale the audience with his sharp wit on the coveted game show. After having completed almost 14 years on the game set, Harvey has established an enviable status as a celebrity and respected host.

Everyone from hosts such as Pat Sajak and his successor Ryan Seacrest or contemporary Drew Carey to models on game shows are called out or go viral for their blunders on air. Vanna White has been a part of “Wheel of Fortune” for more than 40 years now, and the  68-year-old has had her fair share of gaffes. In a recent episode of the “Elvis Duran Show,” she revealed a story about the one mistake that left her devastated afterward.

Initially, her job on the show was to manually flip the letters on the puzzle board. This was long before technology had advanced to the point of digital screens. It was during this time that she accidentally flipped the wrong letter, and this must have made things a lot easier for the contestant in question. White revealed that her mistake led to a re-take.

“Have you ever activated the wrong letter?” Duran asked her as per Monsters & Critics. To this, White responded saying, “One time I did, and that was when I was physically turning them. The puzzle was either ‘Doctor Spock’ or ‘Mister Spock’ — it was an ‘M’ or a ‘D’ — and I turned the wrong one,” she said. “I was devastated!” she added.

White’s contract with the show has been extended until 2026, after which she might decide to carry on or retire. She has been on the popular game show across two eras as her first co-host Pat Sajak was replaced by Ryan Seacrest. Following all the changes, she has adjusted well and, to this day, remains one of the most important members of the cast.

At 68 years old, White has perhaps achieved most of the things that she might have wanted to. But that’s not going to stop her from trying out something new. Recently, the “Wheel of Fortune” co-host got inked for the first time. The tattoo artist was none other than her uber-talented daughter, Gigi Santo Pietro. The 68-year-old made a video of her experience and shared it on her official Instagram handle.

Now the hard part is picking out which heart and what color.” She ended up getting a small pink heart on her wrist, but she was quite nervous during the process. However, White said that she didn’t feel much discomfort during the process.

Wheel of Fortune Schedule Shakeup: Why Reruns Are Airing and When New Episodes Might Return

Wheel of Fortune has long been a fan-favorite game show, captivating audiences across the United States with its engaging puzzles and lively atmosphere.

Every weeknight, viewers tune in to watch the iconic duo of Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White as they guide contestants through the challenges of spinning the wheel and solving word puzzles. However, recent changes in the show’s schedule have left some fans puzzled and curious.

When Does 'Wheel of Fortune' Return With New Episodes? Season 43 Update

If you’ve been watching Wheel of Fortune lately, you may have noticed a significant shift: instead of fresh episodes, there have been reruns airing for several consecutive weeknights. This has sparked questions among dedicated superfans who look forward to new content each week. So, what’s behind this schedule shakeup?

The reason for the reruns is quite simple—the current season of Wheel of Fortune officially wrapped up earlier this month. As a result, the show has transitioned to airing repeat episodes, which is a common practice for many television programs during the off-season. While it can be disappointing for fans eager for new episodes, this break allows the production team to prepare for the upcoming season.

As for when viewers can expect new episodes to return, the anticipation is building for Season 43, which is likely to kick off sometime in September!

This timeframe aligns with historical patterns observed in previous seasons. For instance, Season 41 premiered on September 11, 2023, and Season 42 debuted on September 9, 2024. Given this trend, fans are optimistic that Season 43 will follow suit and return to screens in early September. Be sure to mark your calendars and stay tuned for announcements as the premiere date approaches!

In the meantime, if you tune in to Wheel of Fortune this week, you’ll be enjoying reruns from the “Festivals & Celebrations” week, which originally aired from March 31, 2025, to April 4, 2025. This themed week featured exciting puzzles and memorable moments, bringing back some of the show’s best highlights for viewers to enjoy once again.

Additionally, fans may be curious about the dynamics between Vanna White and her former co-host, Pat Sajak, following his departure from the show. Sajak, who hosted Wheel of Fortune for an impressive 41 seasons, has left big shoes to fill, and many are eager to see how White adapts to this new chapter. Discussions about their friendship and professional relationship are sure to continue as the show evolves.

As we await the return of new episodes, it’s a great time for fans to reflect on the legacy of Wheel of Fortune and the joy it has brought to households for decades. From its iconic theme music to the thrill of solving puzzles, the show remains a beloved staple of American television. Keep an eye out for more updates and enjoy the reruns in the meantime!

Now Pat Sajak is done with Wheel of Fortune for good after he wrapped up the celebrity version on Tuesday, June 10, which brings up the question of is Vanna White returning to the game show? Vanna was back for Season 42 after Sajak retired and Ryan Seacrest signed on, but could she also soon be headed for retirement?

Fans will be relieved to hear that the beloved letter-turner is definitely coming back for Season 43, alongside Seacrest. A premiere date has not yet been announced, but it typically premieres the first Monday after Labor Day. The duo will also host the next season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune together, which will be Ryan Seacrest’s first celebrity season. Celebrity WOF does not yet have a premiere date. They wrapped up their first season together on Friday, June 6, after 196 episodes. White and Seacrest have known each other for 20 years.

Season 43 will mark Vanna White’s 44th year with Wheel of Fortune. She joined the show in 1982 and spent 42 years co-hosting alongside Pat Sajak.

In an interview with ABC7, Vanna White, 68, shared how it felt working with Seacrest. “This whole season, I have been smiling from day one,” she shared. “He’s so easy to work with. He’s fun. He’s easygoing and he makes my job easy. You come to work and you make people happy. What could be better?”

She doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. However, according to TODAY.com, White only extended her contract through the 2025-2026 season. So, could this be her last?

Along with her contract, Vanna White negotiated a pay raise with Wheel of Fortune since her last one was 20 years ago. According to TMZ, White’s lawyer Bryan Freedman told Sony Pictures his client hoped for for 50% of what Sajak made.

However, a source told People that the previous report was “inaccurate,” including the claim that White accepted an offer of $100,000 per episode to continue the Celebrity edition of the show.

“50 percent of Pat’s salary is so outrageous that no one in their right mind could say that it’s fair,” the source stated. “The negotiation is asking for much more than 50 percent of his salary. It’s asking for the same pay — if not more.”

The source added that for years, “Vanna was told, ‘If you fight this, you will lose your job. You’re lucky to have the job.’ And when people tell you that for so long, you believe it,’” before adding that White is now ready to fight for her future. “She’s a really, really sweet person. She deserves so much more.”

As TV Insider previously reported, Sajak’s annual salary from the show was thought to be around $15 million a year. Whereas, the source told People that White made around $3 million.

White told Parade in September 2024 that she isn’t ready to step away from Wheel of Fortune just yet.

“I wasn’t ready to retire, so that’s why I’m continuing on,” she told the outlet. “Because I enjoy it. I love coming to work. I love watching people win. I love changing people’s lives. There’s a lot of stuff on TV that is so dramatic, and this is a half-hour of family fun and escape from so much. It’s such a positive family show. I love being part of that. So I’m not ready to leave.”

However, White said that with all the electronics the board has “obviously they could do it without me.” “But people love watching what I’m wearing,” she said.
