Snoop Dogg has shared a cryptic post a few hours after making a huge announcement about a decision he made.

Snoop Dogg has taken to social media with a cryptic post after making the bombshell announcement that he would be giving up smoking.

The famous rapper, 52, uploaded a selfie to Instagram on Friday with the caption: “Respect my privacy”.

The strong arm and praying hands emojis were also used in the post.

It came just 12 hours after the music icon shocked the world by published a blunt statement on his social media accounts announcing he is “giving up smoke”.

“After much consideration and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke,” he said.

More than a million people liked the most recent post, in which he wore a silver necklace and blue and white jumper.

Many were sceptical over whether he was actually giving up smoking in all its forms, including the smoking of marijuana.

Initially some thought the rap legend’s accounts had been hacked.

“Today isn’t April Fools’ Day, Snoop,” one fan wrote.

“This is probably just gonna be some viral campaign where he launches his own line of vapes or edibles or something,” wrote another.

But others believed it was legitimate – even if their minds were blown.

“Damn, the world is really really coming to an end,” one fan wrote.

“A Dogg’s gotta do what a Dogg’s gotta do,” tweeted High Times Magazine, which has been a resource for cannabis news since 1974.

“Snoop Dogg — we appreciate everything you’ve done for the plant, and you’ll always be welcome in the cannabis community whether you’re blazing or not. Respect.”

Back in 2008, Snoop told Esquire he first tried marijuana in the 1970s with one of his uncles. He was born in 1971.

“They had these little roaches on the table, these part-way-smoked marijuana cigarettes, and there was some Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull,” Snoop said.

“I went in there and sipped the Schlitz, and my uncle asked me did I wanna hit that roach. And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ He put it on the roach clip for me and lit it up, and I hit that motherf***er. I was about eight or nine years old.”

Just last month Snoop appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and detailed his wide range of drug connections across the globe.

“Well, last time I checked I was the plug to your plug,” Snoop said. “I’m the connect. It’s good to have friends that have friends that are international and global and able to get you medicated and dedicated no matter where you at.”

Pop megastar Ed Sheeran also recently detailed getting dangerously high with Snoop in a dressing room in Melbourne, Australia.

“We’d had a good amount of conversation, so I have a bit, and I’m like, ‘I don’t feel too bad, this is good’,” Sheeran recalled. “So I have a bit more, I have a bit more, I have a bit more.

“Oh my god, I just remember looking at him and being like, ‘I can’t see right now!’”

Snoop even had a “full-time blunt roller”, a woman named Renegade Piranha who the Drop It Like It’s Hot rapper said was paid about $50,000 a year to prepare his marijanua cigarettes.

But there were also signs he was re-evaluating his lifestyle.

In March he told the MailOnline he was moderating his weed consumption after becoming a grandfather.

“Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways,” Snoop said. ‘The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move, the kind of people I’m associated with, because I want to see my grandkids grow old.

“The only way I can do that is to take precautionary steps as far as how I move, who I hang out with, where I go out, my intake, what am I intaking?

“Am I doing extra-curricular or am I just doing what I’m supposed to be doing?”

Judged and coached by country star Reba McEntire, rapping sensation Snoop Dogg, music icon Gwen Stefani, and Christmas crooner Michael Bublé, the show was watched by the masses.

Singing a solo song to show off their talent, each of the eight singers then performed a second track, but this time with Sting.

However, viewers were up in arms over the way in which the show played out on screen, with many people sharing the same complaint over how the show sounded through their television sets.

Taking to social media to air their complaints, viewers of the hit singing competition were quick to agree that the show was “so loud” and impacted the way in which they heard the singers.

“#thevoice Why tf this ‘background’ music so loud? I can’t even hear the singers,” said one person on X.

Another person then echoed, “They always have the music way too loud during the lives for whatever reason. So loud I couldn’t even hear Carson taking us to commercials.. ”

While a third said, “The audio is awful on the show tonight. All you ca\n hear is echo and background music.”

Meanwhile, on Reddit, fans of the show were quick to agree with what people were saying on X, with some even pointing out how this isn’t a new issue.

“Maybe I need a new tv, I’m also kind of grateful because I’m not enjoying the singers, but I also can’t hear them sing. Turn up the mics,” penned one person, who also asked if the production team was sleeping.

    ‘IT HAPPENS EVERY SEASON’

“Happens every season for some reason,” commented one fellow Reddit user.

“The Voice is always like that. I have to max my speakers to hear. Every other show I have the volume at like 60%,” said another.

A third person then commented, “The band is so loud OR the singers are so bad they are covering them up. Annoying that the background drowns the voices.”

    RESULT PENDING

This comes as the general public will now have their say, with the viewers’ vote taking place right now ahead of tonight’s show.

In tonight’s episode, four of the final eight will be crowned as the top four, while the remaining four will be the winners of this season’s Instant Save.

The Voice coaches for Season 27

On June 5, 2024, it was revealed which four well-known musical acts would take a seat in the spinning coaches chair next year.

In a video shared on The Voice’s official social media accounts, they shared videos from the Season 27 coaches.

    Adam Levine

Adam was one of the original coaches during Season 1 of the reality TV series alongside Blake Shelton, CeeLo Green, and Christina Aguilera.

The singer is most known for his role as the frontman of pop music group Maroon 5.

    Kelsea Ballerini

The Grammy-award nominated artist will join The Voice in 2025.

However, during Season 20, she filled in for coach Kelly Clarkson.

    John Legend

Returning coach John has been on the show since Season 16 in 2019.

The R&B singer, also married to Chrissy Teigen, was on the show during Season 12 as an advisor.

    Michael Bublé

Michael will be joining The Voice during Season 26 and will continue his role as a coach during Season 27.

In the fall, he will sit alongside Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani.

Five artists will then move to the next round, which will take place next week across two separate shows.

The grand finale will then take place on Tuesday, December 10, with the winner of the entire competition being announced.

Whoever wins The Voice 2024 will secure a recording contract with Universal Music Group and a cash prize of $100,000.

    26 SEASONS AND COUNTING

The hit singing competition debuted on American television back in 2011, with the show based on the original program, The Voice of Holland.

In the States, The Voice has aired 25 seasons, with it having the ultimate aim of finding unsigned singing talent from contestants over the age of 13.

The current season, which is airing now, is its 26th, which premiered on NBC on Monday, September 23, 2024.

The next season of The Voice will be its 27th season and will have a new cast of coaches to guide the singers through their journey on the TV show.

The Voice airs Monday night at 8pm ET/PT for performances and on Tuesday night at 8pm ET/PT for results on NBC.

The shows then stream the following day on Peacock.

The Voice fans slam ‘absurd’ and ‘dumb’ schedule change and claim they just ‘want to watch the performances’

THE Voice fans have taken issue with a new prominent schedule change for the reality singing competition.

Annoyed The Voice viewers headed to the show’s community on Reddit after finding out the knockout segment had been moved to the following week.

“Why are they waiting till next week to show the knockouts and not tonight?” asked the curious Redditor.

They were immediately met with answers, most of which were negative about the show.

“So dumb. This show is like 50% filler & reruns when the people just want to see all the performances,” one wrote.

“So tonight is basically a rerun?” another annoyed fan asked.

“But why that seems very absurd,” the original poster replied.

Other members of the Reddit community fielded guesses as to why the schedule change had happened.

“My guess is that it’s because of Easter Monday, but I could be wrong,” one suggested.

“Maybe because the NCAA tournament? Two big women’s games were on, so they might lose viewership,” wrote another.

    SCHEDULE SHAKEUP

The Voice has received additional backlash as of late since moving to Monday and Tuesday nights.

The show, which is currently airing its 25th season, made the change and got under fans’ skin with it.

The latest change meant viewers wouldn’t be able to watch The Voice until April 2.

Reruns of the sitcom Lopez vs. Lopez began airing instead as well as game show The Weakest Link.

That meant Monday’s episode, which fans had aired their issues about on Reddit, was a recap.

    FRUSTRATED FANS

Though schedule changes like these are common with The Voice and even shows like American Idol, it still attracted the ire of fans.

This frustration led to fans complaining about the change online once more, going so far as to say the quality was declining.

“I think part of the reason the show has gone downhill recently is cause of NBC. They give us two seasons a year but one is always super short and makes for a bad season cuz they rush it to make space for AGT (which I personally think is falling off too),” they explained, referencing the network’s other popular competition series, America’s Got Talent,” one viewer wrote.

“The year when we only got season 22 was so much better because the format gave the artists more opportunities to perform and there weren’t a ton of people going home each round,” they continued.

After making their point, other fans chimed in as well.

“Idk about y’all but I feel like the show genuinely fell off long ago,” another commented.

“We have had two seasons a year for most of the shows run (2012-2021). The only seasons where had one season in a year was Season 1 and Season 22.

“I just think some of these shows stay on longer than they need to be,” a third noted.

“I think it’s just a new scheduling issue because we didn’t have shortened seasons like this in the past,” one person said about the schedule change.

“I’ve always said that they should get rid of the instant save, the block & the playoff pass (and maybe replace the Knockouts with more live shows) since they make the show less about the performers,” a fourth suggested.

The actress noted, “We’re still family. That’s the beauty of it. We were family then, and we’re family now. I’ve been lucky in my career that I’ve gotten that with the other shows I’ve done, and we’re doing that again. That was one of my favorite things.”

Peterman continued, “Having our original and our new and how much they just loved each other. As you can tell, I just can’t stop smiling. It’s been a lovely, lovely couple of months and we’re just thrilled. We’re happy it’s out there.”

Why NBC’s Happy’s Place Had To End Reba McEntire’s 23-Year Sitcom Trope Explained By Producer

Reba McEntire looks annoyed in Big Sky with trees in the background

Happy’s Place will end Reba McEntire’s tired sitcom trope of 23 years, and the show’s producer, Kevin Abbott explains why. The Queen of Country Music will return on scripted network TV with a brand-new comedy this fall on NBC. The last time she was in this space was when she made an unexpected return as June in the Young Sheldon finale. While McEntire is not new to this format, having appeared in a number of sitcoms throughout the years, the story of Happy’s Place offers something new for the singer/actor.

Speaking with TV Insider, Abbott explains the reason behind setting Happy’s Place in a tavern as opposed to a family home. The producer has worked with McEntire before, also serving the same role in her famous sitcom, Reba. He also developed Malibu Country — McEntire’s shortlived comedy that followed. Having that connection, Abbott reveals that the shift in the environment is a conscious effort so they can do more adult storylines as compared to the old series.

It’s a pleasure to take everything that we have gone through in our lives, the growth that we’ve had, and continue to apply [that to stories]. It’s nice to do this at a tavern as opposed to [in] a family [setting] show because we’re both now at our stage where the kids are grown. It’s more interesting to us to do more adult stories — even though they are told for a family.

Can Happy’s Place Replicate The Success Of Reba?

Happy’s Place Is Very Different From McEntire’s Iconic Sitcom

McEntire’s Reba sitcom from the early 2000s made the singer a legend in the comedy space. In the show, she played the titular character who was on the heels of separating from her husband while also dealing with her teenage daughter getting married while pregnant. Throughout six seasons, she navigated her new life while also mysteriously maintaining a civil relationship with her ex-husband and extra-annoying new wife, Barbra Jean, played by Melissa Peterman. Reba was fun and family-friendly, and it remains a favorite in syndication and streaming services.

Happy’s Place being different may be a risk, but at this point, it’s best to offer something fresh to viewers rather than rehashing something that has been done before.

However, things are a bit different in McEntire’s new show. Happy’s Place will see Reba play Bobbie — the inheritor of her late father’s restaurant. What she doesn’t know is that she’ll have to run it with her half-sister who she didn’t know existed. Peterman is also part of the cast of Happy’s Place as Gabby, marking the pair’s small screen reunion. This time, the pair’s relationship is less complicated than the one they had in Reba. Add Abbott to the mix, and Happy’s Place has all the ingredients needed for success.

Admittedly, it’s still too early to say how it will be received. However, considering Malibu Country‘s failure, trying something new may be the key to McEntire’s successful comedy returnHappy’s Place being different may be a risk, but at this point, it’s best to offer something fresh to viewers rather than rehashing something that has been done before.

    The gang’s getting back together.

Ahead of the Oct. 18 premiere of Happy’s Place — the new sitcom starring Reba McIntire and her Reba costar Melissa Peterman — series creator Kevin Abbott revealed to TV Line that another Reba alumnus will be appearing on the series: Steve Howey.

According to a synopsis provided to PEOPLE by NBC, Howey will play Danny, “a wealthy business owner that Gabby (Peterman) has met at a dog park. In order to impress him, Gabby has pretended to be Bobbie (McEntire) because she thinks that will make her more interesting … that is, until he wants to hold his holiday party at the tavern.”

“We’re hoping that Steve’s character can come back,” Abbott added to TV Line, but noted right now Howey is slated for just one episode of Happy’s Place.

On Reba, Howey, now 47, played Reba Hart’s son-in-law Van Montgomery, who marries her daughter Cheyenne (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) after she becomes pregnant as a teen. The beloved series ran from 2001 to 2007 and also starred Christopher Rich, Scarlett Pomers and Mitch Holleman.

“We absolutely want to bring some of the old cast members on — and in very different roles than what they played on Reba,” Abbott shared with TV Line. “Steve’s our first one up, and we’re trying to figure out how to bring JoAnna in. We only want to have the old cast in if we can really utilize them in a fun, impactful way.”

On Happy’s Place, McEntire, 69, stars as Bobbie, who inherits her father’s titular tavern. She’s surprised to find out she has a half-sister, played by Blue Beetle star Belissa Escobedo, who is also her business partner. Peterman, 53, plays a bartender, while McEntire’s real-life boyfriend Rex Linn, 67, plays the tavern’s chef.

Meanwhile Garcia Swisher, 45, told PEOPLE in July she would be happy to appear on Happy’s Place. “A hundred percent, I would do the show,” she said. “But more importantly, I’m just excited to go watch the show because I am really excited for all of them. It’s going to be great.”

McEntire and Peterman spoke to PEOPLE about their new series on the Emmys red carpet back in September.

“I think that the chemistry that we have, that dynamic, it’s there, so we’re bringing that to Happy’s Place,” Peterman said. “We have new characters, it’s a new situation, so the chemistry is still there. It’s that same dynamic that people want to see. We talked about it, that we’ve been waiting a long time, and this time feels right. It feels like we were waiting for the right cast, the right time, and we’re ready.”

McEntire joked about their reunion, “When we were auditioning everybody she happened to be at the front of the line, I don’t know why she was.”

Peterman told PEOPLE earlier this month that McEntire and Linn, who began dating in 2020, are “adorable” on set together. “We’re taking a five-minute break or we’re having breakfast or lunch and you look over and we have a bar set — it takes place at Happy’s Place — and you look over and they’re in a booth at the bar,” she said. “And it looks like they’re legitimately on a date at a restaurant just sitting together being so adorably cute.”

Happy’s Place premieres Oct. 18 on NBC.

Wheel of Fortune Says Goodbye to Vanna White?

Reports that Vanna White was fired from her hostess role on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ due to her compulsive roulette playing are fake news.

On 11 February 2015, the Empire News web site published an article headlined “Vanna White Fired From Wheel of Fortune After Roulette Scandal” positing that long time letter-turning hostess Vanna White had been fired from her position on the TV game show Wheel of Fortune over her compulsive roulette-playing habit:

Producers of long-running game show Wheel Of Fortune are in crisis mode after being forced to fire presenter Vanna White after over thirty years of service. The shocking firing comes after footage was released of White in a casino, compulsively playing roulette.

“We appreciate Vannas 32 years with us,” said director Bob Cisneros. “However, her recent actions have compromised the production of this all-American favorite. The betrayal felt by viewers upon seeing her spinning around with other wheels is too great to be tolerated. Its as if she is a wife who cheated on her husband, and her husband are the Wheel of Fortune viewers. She is no longer the loyal servant we once knew and loved.”

This report about Vanna White being terminated from her Wheel of Fortune gig was completely fictional and originated with Empire News, a fake news web site whose disclaimer states that all its articles are meant for “entertainment purposes only.”

The rumor has also been promulgated through deceptive online advertisements run by clickbait houses:

    10,000 Episode Celebration For CBS's

Some Price is Right fans were quick to vent about their frustrations after an episode of the game show was interrupted by breaking news.

The latest interruption came during the Monday, May 12 episode of the CBS show, which has been pre-empted for several different breaking news events in recent weeks, and has seen some fans miss out on blunders by host Drew Carey, where he made awkward mistakes, including telling a winning contestant he actually lost.

And while big news events like the election of the New Pope may have made sense to some viewers, the most recent interruption appeared to be the final straw for some.

As the game show aired its newest episode, and saw a contestant who had struggled to get off contestants row finally take the stage, the show was interrupted for a breaking news segment.

The news revealed that the last-known US hostage in Gaza, Edan Alexander, had officially been released by Hamas back to Israel.

While those have followed the conflict likely celebrated the news and found it to be wonderful, others were less than impressed by the interruption.

After it occurred, they took to X to share their complaints.

“@CBSNews why you interrupted my show again no other news had breaking news gonna see this later put my price is right on,” one wrote.

“@CBSNews PUT IT BACK ON PRICE IS RIGHT, I DONT GIVE A S–T ABOUT THE MIDDLE EAST,” another said.

The interruption lasted approximately five minutes before the game show returned.

However, while brief, the interruption did unfortunately keep viewers from seeing the entire game that was played.

The contestant, Rochelle, had finally won the bid in contestants’ row, but viewers didn’t see what game she played–or if she won or not.

The Price is Right airs weekdays on CBS.
