Jeopardy! will officially be heading to streaming services following the announcement of its spin-off, Pop Culture Jeopardy!

The upcoming series will be the first time the game show will be available for viewers worldwide after premiering on Amazon Prime Video.

It will be a new version of the original show with categories reportedly including alternative rock, The Avengers, Broadway, MMA, Gen Z, and Zendaya.

According to Deadline contestants will play in teams of three and will compete “in a tournament-style event for the grand prize and ultimate bragging rights.”

Despite being a fresh and modern twist to the 60-year-old quiz show, the news was met with backlash as some long-time fans slammed the network on social media.

Wheel of Fortune fans are praising Pat Sajak and his humor ahead of his retirement from the long-running ABC game show.

The show recently aired a montage of Sajak’s funniest one-liners throughout his tenure as host and fans couldn’t get enough.

Ryan Seacrest Fails to Mention Pat Sajak In 'Wheel of Fortune' Debut

Sajak’s first joke showed him and his co-host, Vanna White as he turned over to a skeleton figure and asked: “So how long have you been waiting to be a contestant on Wheel?”

Other clips showed Sajak’s hilarious responses to contestants’ careers.

After the segment aired, White turned to Sajak in real time and said: “You are so funny!”

“Actually you’re the best audience because I can get you giggling pretty quickly,” he told his co-host.

Sajak then revealed that the show will be airing more memorable moments from his career in the episodes leading to his upcoming retirement.

The clip was shared on the Wheel of Fortune’s official Instagram account and was captioned with: “Pat’s got jokes—always has.”

In the comments, fans praised the longtime host for his perfect humor.

“Only one more month [crying],” one person wrote, while a second added, “Pat and his humor Gosh I’m going to miss him!!”

“I love Pat’s sense of humor! Pat is so funny and hilarious! He might be a host of Wheel of Fortune but he’s also a comedian too,” a third said.

“I am so bummed. I’m gonna miss him,” a fourth wrote.

A fifth added: “The GOAT of game show hosts. You can never be replaced, Pat. You’re on of a kind!!”

“I’m so gonna miss him. It won’t be the same without him,” another added.

“I hope Ryan Secrest will be as entertaining and funny as Pat. He has big shoes to fill,” someone else commented.

Sajak’s official last show will be on June 7 for the Season 41 finale.

Many fans have shown resistance to watching Ryan Seacrest become the new face of the game show.

In June 2023, the 77-year-old announced he would be stepping down from his hosting duties after landing the role in 1981.

In his announcement, Sajak stated: “I’m looking forward to my final season starting this fall, and then handing over the car keys to Ryan Seacrest in September of 2024.”

At the time, the American Idol host shared his excitement and admitted he was “truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak.

“I can’t wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White,” but despite this, many revealed they were apprehensive about the change in hosts.

Taking to social media, one person questioned: “@WheelofFortune why, why, Ryan Seacrest. A better choice would have been Tom Bergeron..”

Another threatened: “I will not watch and the most logical choice to replace Pat should have been his daughter.”

A third complained: “Enough of Ryan Seacrest…. he’s everywhere…. over-exposed and over-rated. Sad to say after all these years, I won’t be watching.”

Price Is Right fans fume after contestant is booted from game after ‘painful’ blunder

One The Price is Right contestant failed a basic element of the game “four times” before being “asked to leave” in a toe-curling moment.

This The Price Is Right contestant just couldn’t get the hang of the game – even with the help of host Drew Carey.

The contestant in question, whose name was Elvira, set a record by spinning the famous wheel numerous times on the game show, before not moving on to the next round.

Elvira spun the wheel very lightly and landed on the number 65 for her first spin.

Usually, that would be a great first spin, but unfortunately, host Drew broke the news to her that it didn’t count.

“The wheel has to go around at least once,” he instructed.

Drew took matters into his own hands and said: “Here. Let me help you out.”

With Drew’s help, Elvira landed on 75 and he told her she had one more spin.

He tried to help her again, but she told him she had everything under control so Drew left her to it.

The spin landed in between numbers, so it didn’t count… again.

When Elvira spun for the fifth and final time, she landed on 40, going over 100, meaning she was eliminated before Drew escorted her off of the stage.

“Painful! Was their last spin even a full one? #thepriceisright #fail,” @PearlJamPat added, as fan @PearlJamPat agreed, saying: “Insanity! That was embarrassingly painful to watch! #fail #tpir.”

A fourth user @_deeez commented: “That’s epic. How do you go on the show and are told FOUR times to spin it properly and don’t! Crazy.”

Carey bent over and laughed with Julie before asking announcer George Gray to reveal her prizes, which were a boxing trainer, wine cooler, and $7,500.

She played one of Price Is Right’s hardest games, the Clock Game, which sees a player guess the prices of two prizes within 30 seconds.

Julie did this without a hitch and won everything. Once she was victorious, Carey joked again: “Nice win, and I got a dollar sign out of it.”

Sadly, that’s where the player’s luck stopped, as she didn’t get into the Showcase Round.

Players Gayla and Manuel battled it out in the Showcase. Manuel bid $26k on trips to Lake Tahoe and Costa Rica and a European cruise.

Price Is Right player and Drew Carey

Gayla bid $28k on drones, a jetski, and a sedan and won despite being $8k under.

During the May 29 episode, Gray joked about a player’s name before she went on to score a win.

Contestant Dorothy took to the stage to meet Carey after guessing the nearest retail price of a treadmill and rower.

The longtime host, who has been manhandled by over-the-top contestants recently, congratulated the player on her win, before Gray poked fun at Dorothy’s name, saying: “We’re not sending you to Kansas. It’s a trip to Rhode Island.”

The player giggled before she began an easy game of Coming or Going, which sees a contestant shown four numbers that could be the price of a prize.

When tilted in one direction, the numbers on the lever form a price. When tilted in the other direction, the numbers on the lever form a different one.

    Price Is Right's Drew Carey

The contestant must tilt the lever in the correct direction to form the price and win the prize.

Dorothy tilted the lever in the right direction, winning a trip to Rhode Island.

Later, she spun the highest number on the wheel and entered the Showcase Round.

Her opponent, Patricia, bid $38k on a trip to Turks and Caicos, a home gardening package, and an SUV.

Dorothy bid $35k on a keyboard, a trip to Spain, and a boat.

While Patricia was under a couple of thousand dollars, but Dorothy was only under $838, therefore allowing her to win the Showcase.

During the latest episode of The Price is Right, Drew Carey was in shock after a contestant won $10,000 on her first try.

    The Price is Right

“I love you so much,” she said.

Janice’s admiration grew once she realized she was chosen to play the beloved Plinko. She then ran around the stage and screamed in joy.

She admitted: “This is a dream come true.”

The famous game consists of dropping chips down a peg board to win cash prizes.

Before she could guess the price of several grocery items, Carey gave the contestant one to start. To focus on the game, she stored it in a peculiar place. Once she was handed the chip, she placed it in her bra.

Her gesture caused a burst of laughs from the crowd and a humored look from the host.

It seems her holding spot might have given her luck as she was able to guess the right price to two items, giving her three tries to play and win.

She didn’t need the extra chances as she won big on her first try.

Janice walked up the flight of stairs and placed her first chip on the board. Most people don’t get lucky during the classic game but that was the case for the contestant.

Her chip made it to the bottom and slid into the $10,000. She shocked the audience and Carey who responded: “That’s unbelievable.”

The play even stunned Janice as she asked: “Did I just win $10,000? Seriously?”

She jumped up and down before continuing to play and receiving another $1,000 from her other two chips.

Her luck continued later on in the show when she spun the Big Wheel and landed on the $1, which means she won an additional $1,000, a Bonus Spin and a spot in The Showcase.

Unfortunately, she did not win the final round but she still went home with $22,000.

A recent Price Is Right player nearly knocked host Drew Carey down several times, but fans have been concerned about that for months.

The Price Is Right player celebrates after winning car

The Price Is Right’s Drew Carey has seen and been through it all since taking over for Bob Barker in 2007, including being manhandled by contestants.

So, he likely wasn’t too shocked when a recent player nearly knocked him down several times during a recent episode, but fans have been concerned about that for months.

During the May 21 episode of the hit CBS show, player Alexander got extremely excited when he guessed the nearest retail price of a fire pit and practically ran to the stage to give Carey a bear hug that pretty much turned into a headlock.

He played an easy game of Side By Side to win a trip to Alaska and succeeded, only to jump up and down on Carey once again.

Carey joked: “Don’t go to Alaska,” before Alexander jumped on him a third time in excitement.

Price Is Right player and Drew Carey

Thankfully for Carey and his back, Alexander failed to get into the Showcase round when he later spun on the wheel.

Fans of Price Is Right have been growing increasingly concerned for Carey’s wellbeing around rambunctious players for months.

On a Reddit board in March, they expressed their worry for Carey’s safety, agreeing that the contestants who fail to contain their excitement and jump on the host are too dangerous and need to be warned about their behavior prior to the show.

Price Is Right always encourages fans to be as energetic and excited as possible but the fans online think some have been too rough with the beloved game show host.

On the forum called No touchy, one fan wrote: “Before the show tapes, do they announce to the audience, if you make it on stage, do NOT hug, maul, pick up, get rough with Drew? Some of these contestants are too rough. They could accidentally hurt Drew.”

In the comments section, one responded: “Evidently they don’t because some of the women are all over him. One almost pushed him over and the woman today was crawling all over him.”

Price Is Right player and Drew Carey

A second added: “Yeah, Drew isn’t exactly a spring chicken any more. I realize contestants are pumped up, but please don’t damage the host… or the models either.”

A third pointed out: “They show a hype video of people doing crazy things before you go into the studio, which inspires folks to be crazy. My pet peeve is being slow as hell to come down once called.”

A fourth mentioned: “If I remember right from when I went to a taping, they do say not to do it in a pre-show video and they have a montage of people knocking Drew and the models over with hugs.”

Yet another commented: “I’ve been getting worried about him lately. Some of these crazies are getting way too physical with him,” as another penned: “We were there in October and no one said that to us that I remember. But I agree they should! A few years ago Drew had a shoulder issue and I remember them saying something on air at the time about being careful to not hurt him.”

Another scared viewer added: “One day is going to be bad I can feel it… It’s crazy the adrenaline with these people lol they don’t know their own strength and will probably take him down.. he could break a hip.”

Price Is Right player and Drew Carey

Price Is Right player and Drew Carey

However, one person argued: “I think he likes it.”

One fan mentioned that Bob Barker, Carey’s predecessor, got the same treatment: “I remember that happened back with Bob Barker also,” as another noted that some fans would “throw [the original host] around like a ragdoll.”

Carey is 66 years old and has been hosting Price Is Right since 2007, following Barker’s retirement at the age of 83.

The comedian has expressed many times that he loves his job, but that likely doesn’t mean he likes being jumped on.

Breanna Nix was the first of the Top 3 to be axed from the competition, with John Foster and Jamal then going head-to-head.

After Jamal was announced by Ryan Seacrest as the winner, Carrie, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie all stood up and applauded him.

But some fans noticed something odd about Carrie’s body language and how she failed to stand up when Jamal crooned his song a final time after winning.

Reacting to Carrie not standing up when Jamal won, one fan speculated that she might have been asked by show bosses to stand.

“Yall just jealous of Carrie point blank.”

    CARRIE’S CRITIQUE

Last week, Jamal performed Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s hit Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, but Carrie had a major complaint about his stage presence.

“I feel like you missed such an opportunity to move around and entertain,” she said after failing to give him a standing ovation despite fellow judges Luke and Lionel doing so.

“We are getting close to the end here, it is time to pull out all the stops.

“And we know you have that in you. So like pull us all in not just with your voice but everything else going on.

“Put 100% of yourself into it. Let’s go,” she added.

Reacting to Carrie’s judging and comments directed to Jamal, one person said, “Please be fair and balanced in your feedback.

“All we as the viewers ask. In the most respectful way, we come to you.”

Another slammed: “You were out of line about Jamal tonight. Everyone gets to stand still, but he has to move around!! Really?”

While a third demanded:  “She needs to be replaced next year!”

    WASN’T A FIRST CHOICE JUDGE

This comes after The U.S. Sun revealed that the decision was “not unanimous” to have Carrie take the place of Katy Perry when she stepped onto the panel at the start of the season.

According to a production insider, Carrie was “not the network’s first pick to be a judge this season.”

“They spoke with a handful of other A-list artists in pop and country before landing on Carrie.

“It was not a unanimous decision,” the insider added.

Not only this, The U.S. Sun also revealed that the American Idol crew thinks Carrie’s “influence” is “ruining” the show’s legacy.

Is “American Idol” About to STEAL “The Voice’s” Crown? Discover the surprising twists and turns in this high-stakes TV showdown, the fan reactions.

‘American Idol’ is Silencing ‘The Voice’ in Ratings War as Live Shows Begin – And Here’s Why

After a strong start to 2024 and finishing ahead of almost every reality competition show on cable, The Voice has entered a massive ratings slump coming into April. At the beginning of February, NBC’s top show was dominating Monday nights, having drawn over 5 million viewers per episode throughout the first seven weeks. However, nearing the end of March, the show finally dipped below that threshold, and since they’ve begun going head-to-head with their main rival in American Idol, total viewership is looking disastrous.

‘The Voice’ Loses Over 1 Million Viewers

    The-Voice-Adam-Levine-2023

In what is one of the most shocking viewership results of the year for reality TV, The Voice lost over 1 million viewers on the April 7 edition of the show, dropping its top spot to Idol. It first seemed like a no-brainer that The Voice would continue to be the preferred choice to American Idol, but fans made their presence known when The Voice only managed to pull in an audience of 3.3 million viewers. When compared to the previous week, total viewership declined by a whopping 27%, with the key 18-49 demographic also dropping by 33%, drawing just a 0.20 in the category.

Despite The Voice managing to improve its numbers this past Monday, the show barely finished above the 4 million viewer mark, and is the second worst rating the program has drawn throughout season 27. By comparison, American Idol has proved to perform well on Sunday nights, with total viewership only continuing to increase during season 23. However, they will also want to maintain their focus on stealing viewers from The Voice, as Idol has shown they can be competitive against their main rival on Mondays for three straight weeks. Most importantly, whether American Idol draws a higher number than The Voice on a week-to-week basis or not, the latter is currently the program that is losing viewers, while the other continues its hot streak.

Page Mackenzie during 'The Voice' Season 27 Knockouts.

Going Head-to-Head with ‘American Idol’ is Damaging for ‘The Voice’

Before the live rounds began, The Voice managed to hold onto the top spot on NBC, drawing more viewers than Idol on separate nights. However, now that the two shows will be clashing going forward, The Voice is proving they are weaker against strong competition, and the scheduling change has significantly impacted their success.

It’s almost unheard of to see a reality TV show lose nearly half its audience in one season, and The Voice was just a couple of thousand viewers away from doing so after drawing numbers close to 6 million earlier this year. However, it’s not just the head-to-head battle with American Idol that is impacting ratings for The Voice, as other programs on Monday nights have become equal threats.

Despite not fitting into the reality TV realm, NCIS and The Neighborhood are not doing The Voice any favors on cable. This past Monday, NCIS drew over 5 million viewers and ranked #1 among Prime Time Telecasts, while The Neighborhood finished impressively above The Voice in the 18-49 demo. Achieving a high rating on Monday nights has always been a challenge for any network on cable, but The Voice needs to consider other options in order to avoid going head-to-head with Idol and posting season-low ratings because of strong competition.

It’s clear that The Voice is sometimes the secondary choice when they’re up against rivals or popular TV shows, meaning it would be beneficial to NBC to develop a strategy where the show airs against less competition. Idol, NCIS and The Neighborhood all broadcast either at the same time or during The Voice, starting at 8:00 p.m. EST. If NBC decided to have The Voice air an hour beforehand instead, it would not only allow them to draw a stronger rating until 8:00 p.m, but also average better total viewership due to it being the only option for viewers to choose.

Competition for The Voice is only going to get stronger as Spring continues, with a variety of TV shows set to begin airing on Mondays, along with the NHL and NBA playoffs being major threats on cable coming into May.

Despite embarrassingly losing over a million viewers last week, The Voice is not down for the count against American Idol, but they may have to live with losing a strong portion of their audience due to the amount of competition. It remains to be seen how The Voice performs down the stretch, and if they will once again post record low ratings or emerge victorious over Idol by the end of the season.

Adam Levine makes a big change on ‘The Voice’ with a shocking chair turn – The audience and coaches can’t hide their reactions

It’s only one episode since Adam Levine returned to The Voice, and it looks like he’s already doing things differently than before!

Season 27 of the NBC series premiered on February 3, and viewers were quickly introduced to singer Grace-Miller Moody. She decided to sing a soulful rendition of Adam’s band Maroon 5’s hit song “Sunday Morning,” which left everyone completely stunned by her talent. As coaches Michael Bublé, John Legend and Kelsea Ballerini all turned their chairs for Grace-Miller, Adam shocked everyone by hitting the red button as well. What’s more, the move had everyone riled up for a surprising reason.

    Watch the video below.

“Adam notoriously does not turn for his own song!” Kelsea exclaimed in a clip posted on YouTube. “So, you have broken the code!”

Kelsea wasn’t the only one shocked by Adam’s surprise move. John also had some thoughts on the entire situation, trying to convince Grace-Miller she needed a coach who’d been on The Voice in recent seasons.

“Obviously, all of us feel like we’re at a disadvantage,” John added, with the audience cracking up. “It’s been a long since Adam has been on The Voice, and he’s quite likely very, very rusty. You’ll need someone that’s got more recent experience and you understand how it’s been on the show for the last 10 seasons and not how it was way back in the ancient era.”

Given the entire audition caused a stir, fans couldn’t stop commenting how good Grace-Miller’s vocals sounded.

“What a way to start off Adam’s comeback season,” one person wrote in the YouTube comments. “Very unique … I love her,” another agreed. “Love the voice and the arrangement,” a different follower added.

The Voice fans rave Snoop is ‘best judge ever’ as the Battle Rounds begin with TWO steals

The Blind Auditions have come and gone, with NBC’s The Voice moving into the Battle Rounds on Monday’s new episode.

Snoop Dogg put two duos together to battle, with fans getting a first glimpse at his coaching style, and they were quite impressed.

Snoop kicked off the show by pitting Gail Bliss and Christina Eagle together to sing Gretchen Wilson’s Redneck Woman and later he picked Mikayla Ayira and Eliza Pryor to sing Vanessa Carlton’s A Thousand Miles.

Many were impressed, taking to social media, with some claiming he’s the best judge in the show’s long history.

While none of Snoop’s singers were stolen after elimination, there were two huge steals to kick off the Battle Rounds.

Snoop realized quickly how difficult the Battle Rounds will be after their performance, admitting picking one over the other was going to ‘break my heart.’

After channeling his ‘gangster Holy Ghost,’ he ultimately picked the 23-year-old Christina over the 61-year-old Gail.

Gail wasn’t stolen by any of the other judges after the performance so she was sent home.

Gwen Stefani teamed up a pair of teens – 19-year-old Sloane Simon with 15-year-old Sydney Sterlace.

They both were given the Billie Eilish song Birds of a Feather, with Gwen realizing in rehearsals it would be a tough decision as well.

She ultimately chose Sydney, but the remaining three judges – Snoop, Reba McEntire and Michael Buble used their Steal on Sloane, who chose Buble.

Buble paired up 18-year-old Kiara Vega with 20-year-old Mor Ilderton, to sing Iris from Goo Goo Dolls.

Michael realized the song wasn’t in either of their ‘lanes’ with Mor admitting he’d never harmonized before.

Also moving forward was Kendall Eugene from Team Reba, who she picked over Alison Elena after they sang Bring On the Rain by Jo Dee Messina and Tim McGraw.

Jan Dan was chosen by Stefani over Jaylen Dunham, as Jan Dan had to leave right after because his wife was due that day with their first child.

The Voice returns Tuesday, October 22 at 8 PM ET on NBC.
