The television personality and former model, born in 1957 in South Carolina, has made a living from her many years hosting America’s game show.

White started uncovering letters and helping contestants solve puzzles alongside host Pat Sajak in 1982.

Per Biography, she was chosen out of 200 applicants to join the popular game show.

White has amassed a $70million net worth, Celebrity Net Worth reports.

The longtime game show host reportedly makes $10million annually off her Wheel Of Fortune duties.

Who is Vanna White’s ex-husband, George Santo Pietro?

George Santo Pietro is an American real estate developer who started out as a film director.

The California native produced many TV shows, including L.A. Doctors, True Blood, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Alias and Pushing Daisies, The Big Bang Theory, and Two And A Half Men.

Some films Santos worked on include Muppets Most Wanted, The Good Place, and Think Like A Man.

How long have Vanna White and Pat Sajak worked together?

Wheel of Fortune co-hosts White and Pat Sajak have worked together since 1982.

Speaking to Drew Barrymore on The Drew Barrymore Show, White revealed the pair had one squabble in their decades-long stint together.

“We’ve never had one argument — OK, we had one. It was over putting ketchup on a hot dog. Do you put ketchup on your hot dog?” she asked Barrymore.

She replied that she prefers mustard on a hot dog. “OK, all right,” White replied. “Well, anyway, that’s what he said. ‘You do not put ketchup on your hot dog!’”

Sajak and White have stuck by each other since the show’s inception. White even filled in for Sajak when he had to undergo an emergency in 2019 and took time off of hosting duties.

In June 2023, it was revealed that Pat Sajak would leave his position with Wheel of Fortune as he’s announced his retirement.

Sajak has agreed to continue as a consultant on the show for three years following his last year hosting, executives said.

Following his announced exit, White did not immediately sign off on her new contract and she asked for a salary increase from producers.

After months of negotiations, the contract was finalized. White is expected to remain on the game show until 2026.

At the end of tonight’s episode, Vanna revealed that her cat, Stella, had passed away.

She described her as a “member of the family,” before the show aired a touching tribute to the recently passed pet.

Emotional music played as Wheel of Fortune viewers were shown photos and videos of Stella at home with Vanna and her family.

“I’m so sorry about that” added host Pat Sajak, as he consoled Vanna while she looked on the edge of tears.

Fans on social media flocked to share their condolences and express their sadness for Vanna’s loss.

One fan tagged Vanna and shared: “I want you to know we are so sorry. Show tribute was so touching. Kudos!”

Another wrote: “Dammit, Wheel of Fortune making me get all weepy about Vanna’s cat Stella!”

A third shared: “Just over here with tears watching Wheel of Fortune. A lovely tribute to Vanna White’s kitty Stella.”

Vanna is a huge cat lover and has kept her followers on social media updated with pictures of Stella over the years.

The tribute certainly pulled at the heartstrings of viewers who have also lost pets recently.

One fan on Twitter sympathized: “Watching Wheel Of Fortune and crying because poor Vanna lost her cat Stella, and she looked like our Stella. I’m just so sad.”

Another shared: “I Lost my Lily last month and there’s a permanent hole in my heart. It looks like Stella had a fantastic life with you.”

    ‘WITH GREAT SADNESS’

The heart-wrenching news comes just weeks after the TV legend also announced that her dad had passed away.

Vanna confirmed via social media that her dad, Herbert White Jr. had died at the age of 96.

The longtime television personality shared a recent picture of them together and wrote: “It is with great sadness that I tell you my 96-year-old dad passed away peacefully this morning.

“He lived a full and happy life and will be remembered as one of the kindest and most wonderful human beings of North Myrtle Beach.”

She concluded: “I love you so much, dad. RIP.”

People were quick to react in the comments section as one person wrote: “So sorry, Vanna. I’m sure you will miss him but God has a new angel and I’m sure he will be watching guard over you.

“Prayers for you and your family.”

Another added: “Sending my deepest condolences and prayers for you and your family. May your memories keep him close in your hearts.”

‘The Price Is Right’ Changes: EP Teases Redemption & New Theme Episode

    The Price Is Right

Much like its Shell Game, The Price Is Right is mixing things up. Producers of the long-running CBS game show are preparing a new themed installment and even a redemption episode.

In the past, The Price Is Right has themed episodes around holidays like Christmas, Halloween, and April Fool’s Day, as well as events like the Super Bowl, the Grammy Awards, and NCAA March Madness. And viewers can expect at least one new theme in upcoming episodes.

“We switch it up,” executive producer Evelyn Warfel told TV Insider during our recent set visit. “This year we’re doing Galentine’s [Day].”

    The Price Is Right

    Sonja Flemming/CBS

The Price Is Right is also gearing up for a “redemption” episode, Warfel teased. What exactly does that mean? Are past contestants getting another shot at the Showcase Showdown? Details are scarce — Warfel only said it’s a concept “never done before” in the show’s 51-year history.

Producers are also keeping The Price Is Right exciting with its wide variety of games, from Any Number to Vend-O-Price and everything in between. “We have 79 games for a reason,” Warfel explained, referring to the options kept in a warehouse when they’re not in use on set. “When you tune into the show, it feels different every time.”

Manuela Arbeláez - News - IMDb

Despite the variety of games and the upcoming changes, The Price Is Right is still sticking to the format that that has been entertaining audiences since 1972. “For me, the importance of the show is holding on to the nostalgia,” Warfel said. “The reason people continue to tune in year after year is because they remember how it made them feel, the place they were in their life when they watched — like with one of their grandparents or being home sick from school. We do our best with every change we make to still remind people.”

Drew Carey quickly recovered from a flub during The Price Is Right that could’ve crushed a contestant’s hopes.

Carey, 66, is coming up on 17 years as host of the popular game show, which features pricing games and sometimes even unique contestants.

That includes a The Price Is Right contestant fans called out on social media for “bullying” and “disgusting” behavior when she appeared on another TV show.

Viewers have also seen Carey get involved in kicking a game when it wouldn’t work correctly for a contestant.

More recently, viewers saw a clip where a man participated in a game with a brand-new car on the line.

Carey’s sudden mistake during the reveal of the game results came with an apology to the contestant and a quick recovery.

Drew Carey made a key mistake during a pricing game

During the popular Dice Game, a contestant, Joseph, attempted to roll a die to determine each number in the price of the car he was playing to win. Rolling a one or six is ideal in the game because it requires no guessing. The number is correct, lower than a six, or higher than a one.

His first two rolls resulted in a three and a two. The contestant consulted with audience members and selected “higher” for the numbers in the car’s price slots.

His third roll was six, and Carey automatically said it had to be “lower than a six,” so it was a “winner.”

The final roll of the die resulted in a two, and again, the contestant said he’d go “higher” for the final number in the car’s price. From there, Carey began to ask for the reveal of each number.

“Let’s start out with this one higher than a six, please,” he incorrectly announced since it’s supposed to be lower.

“Oh, sorry, lower than a six,” he quickly said, adding, “Haven’t had my coffee.”

“Lower than a six is a four,” he announced after the reveal of the number.

Carey recovered after his mistake, correctly asking for the reveal of other numbers.

Three of the numbers were correct, so it came down to the final number in the price of the car. The contestant had rolled two and chose “higher” for that number.

“Surely this wouldn’t be a one after all that, Joseph,” Carey said to dial up the suspense.

Thankfully for Joseph, the final number was higher, and he won that brand-new car despite the earlier mixup from Carey!

Price Is Right' contestant takes jab at host Drew Carey

Viewers previously called out another Dice Game winner

While some viewers love seeing the Dice Game as part of The Price Is Right, others feel contestants might easily win using a strategy or even that the game is “rigged.”

Monsters and Critics reported that fans called out a previous winner for seemingly having a trick for rolling the die to get one or six each time.

The “EPIC dice game sweep” video below shows that the contestant rolled six, six, one, and six.

“You got a car!” Carey announced, adding, “That was insane. That was amazing.”

However, commenters reacted with some bringing up his technique. One commenter mentioned that “he started every roll with the six facing the wall” and called it “a smart move.”

Others claimed he had “dice at home that he rolls” for practice or called it “obviously rigged” somehow.

Despite those claims, The Price Is Right keeps going, with a recent Emmy nomination for the game show and a nomination at the 11th Annual American Reality TV Awards.

Meanwhile, fans await the return of new episodes of The Price Is Right, as it’s been on a summer break with only repeats airing.

An official premiere date for daytime episodes is unknown, but The Price Is Right at Night will return with a new episode on Monday, September 23, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

‘Price Is Right’ Drew Carey Accepts Harsh Insult From PhD Student

Drew Carey on The Price is Right | YouTube

The Price is Right host Drew Carey is a comedian, so he knows when someone says something that is truly funny. This includes when the jokes are aimed directly at him. This happened on an episode of the game show this week when a PhD student was playing the game.

Here is what the student said to Carey and why it had him almost falling over laughing.

PhD Student Bashes Drew Carey On The Price Is Right

On a recent episode of The Price is Right, Drew Carey brought a new contestant named Lillian Brown to the stage. He saw she was wearing a Northwestern University shirt and asked if she had graduated from that college. She responded she was a third-year PhD student there.
Drew Carey - YouTube/The Price Is RightYouTube/The Price Is Right
Drew seemed very impressed as he repeated, “Oh, a PhD student.” He then looked at Lillian and said he was thrown out of college twice. “What’s the opposite of a PhD?” he asked. Without missing a beat, Lillian answered, “A talk show host.”

That caused Drew Carey to start cracking up as he bent over laughing. He responded, “You know what? I’m not smart enough to be a talk show host.” Lillian and the audience in attendance joined Carey in laughing, and it was a lighthearted moment in the episode. Before The Price is Right, Drew starred on The Drew Carey Show and then hosted Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Drew Carey attended Kent State University, but the school kicked him out for a low GPA. He served in the Marine Corps Reserve and eventually became a TV star. Kent State eventually gave Carey an honorary degree.

Drew Carey Sent A Contestant Home Later On The Same Show

While this was a nice moment, later in the show, Drew Carey cost a contestant a chance to move to the final round. This happened during the Big Wheel spin round of The Price is Right.
Drew Carey on The Price is RightDrew Carey on The Price is Right | YouTube
The goal is to spin the wheel twice and get closest to 100 without going over. However, the wheel has to go a full rotation. There was a moment in the past when a woman couldn’t get it to go around after multiple tries, so she was just eliminated on the spot.

In this episode, a contestant named Roni Gardner struggled to spin the Big Wheel. Her first spin landed on 90, but Drew pointed out it didn’t do a full spin. Drew helped her spin it and it landed on 15. Drew then helped again, and it hit 95, sending the contestant home.

“I’ll take the blame for that. Roni, I’m so sorry,” Carey said as she left.

What are your thoughts on Drew Carey’s reaction to the PhD comment by Lillian on The Price is Right? Are you enjoying Carey as the host of the popular game show? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

The Price Is Right host Drew Carey reveals a shocking fact about himself and the show

Drew Carey appears on television nearly every day, hosting The Price Is Right and its primetime counterpart, The Price Is Right at Night, in addition to reruns of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, which he hosted from 1998 to 2007. Despite his regular TV presence, the comedian admits he can’t stand watching himself on screen.

In a revelation that has surprised fans across the entertainment industry, The Price Is Right host Drew Carey has admitted that he rarely, if ever, watches himself on television—despite anchoring one of America’s longest-running game shows for nearly 18 years. The veteran comedian and presenter shared his personal discomfort with self-viewing in a recent interview with Parade, while discussing the upcoming DVD release of The Drew Carey Show: The Complete Series, commemorating its 30th anniversary.

Carey Avoids Viewing His Own Work

Drew Carey, who has been the face of The Price Is Right since 2007, candidly revealed his aversion to seeing himself on screen. “Not a lot of my fans know that I don’t like watching myself on TV. I have a real hard time,” Carey admitted, as mentioned in a report by the Citizen Tribune.

Reflecting on his time in the editing room during his sitcom days, he added, “I had to leave. I don’t do it that often because every time I saw it, I was like, ‘That’s what I look like? And that’s how I walk?’ I get so tired of seeing myself.”

Even as The Price Is Right airs daily—along with The Price Is Right at Night and reruns of his classic improv series Whose Line Is It Anyway??—Carey rarely tunes in.

He noted that producers once had to persuade him to watch his own footage for performance review. “I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ He really had to twist my arm,” Carey recounted, as per a report by Citizen Tribune.

    Mental Health and Media Consumption

This avoidance of self-viewing is part of a broader commitment by Carey to maintain his mental well-being. In an earlier interview with Us Weekly, the longtime host spoke openly about his mental health practices. “I’m very careful. I watch my mental health all the time,” he said, noting that he often limits exposure to social media and news. “Sometimes I go, ‘Nope, not today,’” Carey remarked, as mentioned in a report by Citizen Tribune.

While Carey is reluctant to watch his performances, his passion for the job remains strong. The Price Is Right, a mainstay of American daytime television since 1972, recently celebrated its 10,000th episode in February—an occasion Carey called “an honor” to be part of.

A Milestone for a Reluctant Star

Despite his discomfort with the spotlight off-camera, Carey has been instrumental in steering The Price Is Right through a successful new era, bringing charm, humor, and a sense of connection to millions of viewers. His reluctance to engage with his own on-screen image may be unusual for a television figure of his stature, but fans have continued to embrace his authenticity and warmth.

Carey’s remarks offer a rare glimpse into the personal experiences behind one of the most familiar faces in American television. As The Drew Carey Show prepares for its 30th anniversary release, and The Price Is Right continues its decades-long run, the host’s candidness has only deepened the appreciation of audiences for his enduring contributions to television.

There’s one thing that can make Reba McEntire’s feel unsteady, nearly PASSED OUT

There’s no one tougher than Reba McEntire. The country icon, Coach on The Voice and star of Happy’s Place is the definition of “survivor,” but there’s one thing that can still make her feel unsteady: watching her son Shelby in a race!

Shelby Blackstock, McEntire’s only child, is in the construction business. But for many years, he was also a successful race car driver, something McEntire fully supports. It just took her a second to get on board when she first saw him in action.

“When I first went to the Daytona Speedway and he was racing at Daytona — they drop that green flag and here they come racing around — and I was sitting there filming him. And all I could see was his car and then underneath the helmet was this little bitty baby face,” McEntire shared on The Rachael Ray Show in 2018. “It just broke my heart!”

McEntire said she sat down because she was “about to pass out,” until “Carolyn, my tour manager, came over and she said, ‘Are you alright?’ And I said, ‘Oh my gosh, gimme a second,” she recalled. “And then I watched the rest of the race, it was alright … Hits your heart.”

Reba McEntire and her son Shelby Blackstock are super close

It’s not just their matching smiles, Blackstock and McEntire share a tight bond, and Blackstock takes every opportunity to praise his mama. On Mother’s Day in 2025, for instance, he wrote on Instagram: “Happy Mother’s Day to the best there is. Your love, strength, and wisdom shaped me—and I’m forever thankful. Love you always. @reba #happymothersday❤️ #best #mom.”

“Oh, hey!!! I took those 😏 Happy Mothers Day, @reba — even though you never let us win at Skyjo. Or Rummikub… or Phase 10…” commented Blackstock’s wife, Marissa. She’s not kidding about McEntire being a fierce board game player. In fact, it’s been part of her parenting philosophy since day one.

“When we would play games or cards, I’d never let Shelby win,” she told People in 2022. “He wouldn’t have learned anything that way. I always told Shelby, ‘I’ll always love you, but I want other people to like you. So don’t be a little jerk. Don’t be a spoiled brat.’” Well, it sounds like her methods totally paid off! Shelby is humble, and loves his mama.

Reba McEntire Spills on ‘Coffee Camp’ Mornings With Rex Linn

Living and working with your significant other can present some challenges, including balancing different personalities. However, Reba McEntire takes it all in stride when it comes to her morning routine with partner and “Happy’s Place” co-star Rex Linn. In a recent appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” the country music star lightheartedly revealed that she and her beau don’t quite see eye to eye on how to start their day.

“Rex is a stickler on rehearsals,” the singer explained to Meyers. “Every morning we have ‘coffee camp,’ and so, I’ll go get the coffee and he’s got a script.” Although Linn is raring to go with running lines for “Happy’s Place,” McEntire says she has something else on her mind. “I’m like, ‘Can’t we have coffee first?’” the singer/actress hilariously quipped.

McEntire may want caffeine before cueing lines in the morning, but she clearly appreciates Linn’s approach. During her interview, the singer admitted that her partner is more dedicated when it comes to his acting craft during their morning routine, evidenced by his desire to kick off daily rehearsals immediately. She also called Linn’s character, Emmett, “the sane one” in the “Happy’s Place” crew, which allows her to play a role that is different from her more grounded character on “Reba.”

Clearly, their ‘coffee camp’ debate isn’t a deal-breaker, either. After McEntire described their different morning approaches, Meyers jokingly said that Linn should still stick around because he’s such a great actor. The country singer sweetly replied: “Yeah, and he’s a good guy. I like him a lot.”

Horan, who is also 31, posted a throwback photo of himself and Payne, captioning the post with one black heart emoji. On a second slide, he posted a lengthy tribute to Payne, who had remained in Buenos Aires since the October 2 concert where they reunited, according to the BBC.

“I’m absolutely devastated about the passing of my amazing friend, Liam,” he wrote. “It just doesn’t feel real.”

“Liam had an energy for life and a passion for work that was infectious,” Horan continued. “He was the brightest in every room and always made everyone feel happy and secure.”

“All the laughs we had over the years,” Horan recalled, “sometimes about the simplest of things, keep coming to mind through the sadness. We got to live out our wildest dreams together and I will cherish every moment we had together forever. The bond and friendship we had doesn’t happen often in a lifetime.”

After sharing his reflection on seeing Payne at his concert two weeks prior, Horan wrote, “My love and condolences go out to Geoff, Karen, Ruth, Nicola and of course his son Bear. Thank you for everything, Payne. Love you brother.”

Horan signed the note using his nickname, “Nialler.”
