Tim Allen‘s sitcom wife Nancy Travis made an appearance on his ABC series Shifting Gears — but what about his Last Man Standing daughters?

“Oh, of course. I have no doubt [about that]. Tim is nothing if not loyal. So it was great to walk on that set and see most of the crew was from Last Man Standing,” Travis, 63, exclusively told Us Weekly about her reunion with Allen. “The director John Pasquin did so many episodes of Last Man Standing and is a personal friend. It was just so great to feel this sense of reunion.”

Travis didn’t rule out more Last Man Standing cameos on Shifting Gears, yubi, adding, “I wouldn’t be surprised if everybody from Last Man Standing shows up on Shifting Gears in one way or another. If Tim has his way, he’ll make sure that everybody from [costar Kat Dennings‘] 2 Broke Girls comes on too.”

Before playing Matt on Last Man Standing, Allen, 71, was known for playing Tim “The Toolman” Taylor on the ABC sitcom Home Improvement, which ran from 1991 to 1999. He moved on to Last Man Standing, where he played Mike for nine seasons on ABC. Last Man Standing paved the way for Allen to reunite with his Home Improvement costars Patricia Richardson and Jonathan Taylor Thomas, who played his onscreen wife and son, respectively.

In addition to Thomas, Taran Noah Smith and Zachery Ty Bryan brought the rest of Allen’s onscreen sons to life. Allen spoke to Us about getting to spend time with Thomas when he visited the set of Shifting Gears.

“Everything is a possibility,” he shared last month. “He just came back [to the last episode we filmed]. He showed up on the set. He’s literally my kid. I raised that kid for eight years on Home Improvement. All of these are my kids and I’m kind of sick about this.”

Last Man Standing was more unique because of the show’s multiple recasting. Alexandra Krosney and Amanda Fuller played the role of the oldest Baxter sister, Kristin, while Molly Ephraim and Molly McCook were both middle child Mandy. Kaitlyn Dever was the only actress who portrayed Eve while Evan and Luke KruntchevFlynn Morrison and Jet Jurgensmeyer all played Kristin’s son Boyd. (Kristin’s husband, Ryan, was also recast after Nick Jonas‘ one-episode stint turned into a multi-season arc with Jordan Masterson at the helm.)

Travis is the first of Allen’s Last Man Standing costars to join him on Shifting Gears.

Most Memorable TV Siblings Through the Years: From 'Wednesday' to 'Stranger Things'

“You wonder how Nancy Travis is going to come back into this Shifting Gears world and I think it’s a unique and clever way that they’ve engineered this,” she noted to Us. “I will say — even on Last Man Standing — it’s almost like a trademark of Tim’s shows where there are winks. Because the people that have followed his career from Home Improvement, his stand-up comedy, Last Man Standing and now Shifting Gears, they know the details of these stories and these characters so deeply.”

Travis continued: “They’re looking for a little inside joke or nod. There were many of them on Last Man Standing so I knew there would be something. I just didn’t know where it would come or how it would come. Viewers will be looking for it too so it is a nice little bow they put on our scenes together.”

While Travis enjoyed sharing the screen with Allen again, she doesn’t see herself reprising her role as his wife.

Home Improvement Cast Where Are They Now

“It was really fun to be able to just come in and have a whole wealth of knowledge and rapport working with Tim. In terms of comedic rhythm, knowing how to set up a joke and how to tell a story together, it was great to be able to take that and apply it to Charlotte,” she said. “I do enjoy working with him but I think that it’s fun to explore new and different relationships between characters. It is very meta — maybe too meta.”

Travis was thrilled with how Shifting Gears was able to incorporate her on the show.

“I really like what they created, which is a soulmate friend,” she added. “Maybe it’s like the ghost of his ex-wife — Vanessa — who comes in the spirit of somebody else. But I like the nuances of what they created with this different relationship.”

Shifting Gears airs on ABC Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET before streaming the next day on Hulu.

The Good and the Bad: What the Latest Update Means for Happy’s Place Fans

Happy’s Place is now on a break for the rest of 2024 (but there is some good news)

It’s that time of year where a lot of shows go on their winter breaks. Happy’s Place has now aired its last episode of 2024, but there is some good news.

That’s right; there are no more new episodes of Happy’s Place in 2024. In a little bit of good news, there is a rerun on Friday, Dec. 20. This certainly suggests that NBC is happy with the series and wants to keep people tuning in. The episode will follow the airing of Shrek the Halls on the network.

What about the return date, though? We have some great news about that.

Why is Happy’s Place now on a break?

If NBC is happy enough with the show to put on reruns, why is the show taking a break? Well, yubi, this is just the time of year. All broadcast networks put a hold on new episodes of their shows this time of year, as the linear ratings take a dip. There’s no point risking the future of a show when a break is possible.

This also allows for scheduling. Even with the extra episodes that Happy’s Place has landed, there are still more weeks than episodes available for the standard September to May schedule. So, breaks are needed, and a longer one at Christmas and New Year helps with that.

    Happy's Place - Season Pilot

When will Happy’s Place return with new episodes?

Those who love Reba McIntyre’s new series won’t need to wait too long for it to return. It’s actually the first series to make a comeback in 2025. Happy’s Place will return on Friday, Jan. 3 at 8/7c on NBC. It will be followed by new episodes of Lopez vs. Lopez and Dateline, bringing back a normal Friday night for us.

This is a shorter break than most other shows on NBC and most other networks. It’s only three weeks, so we really can’t complain!

Will Happy’s Place be renewed for season 2?

Of course, as we get to this time of the year, we look at the chances of our favorite shows being canceled or renewed. NBC doesn’t tend to make big decisions this early, unless a show has taken off more wildly than expected. So, it’s not surprising that we haven’t heard about a renewal just yet.

I do expect to see Happy’s Place renewed for season 2. According to TV Series Finale, the comedy is the third-most popular out of the genre on the network, just behind fellow freshman St. Denis Medical and Happy’s Place. It sits in eighth out of all the scripted shows. Both of those figures are in terms of the demo, which is the number most broadcast networks follow.

Being so high up considering it airs on a Friday is an excellent feat. NBC is sure to want it to stick around!

Happy’s Place returns on Friday, Jan. 3 at 8/7c on NBC. Catch up on the series on Peacock.

  • Reba Star Breaks Silence on Sitcom Revival

Reba Star Breaks Silence on Sitcom Revival

Reba Star Reveals Why Sitcom Revival Hasn’t Happened With New Update

    Reba show cast

Lead actress Reba McEntire explains why there has been little development on the Reba revival. The 2000 WB sitcom starred McEntire as the eponymous protagonist, a single mom who takes over the responsibility of her family after her husband Brock (Christopher Rich) leaves her for a much younger dental hygienist, Barbra Jean (Melissa Peterman).

Reba proved to be a hit ratings-wise for The WB, but after season 5 the show was almost canceled when The WB and UPN merged into The CW, although ultimately it was picked up for a sixth season at the new network.

Even at The CW, Reba maintained its position as the channel’s most-watched sitcom, with its original runs and encores both drawing scores of viewers. However, in 2007, The CW surprisingly axed Reba, leaving the cast and fans in shock. The series now lives on in syndication, though there remains hope for a proper return. In July, McEntire offered hope for a potential Reba revival, saying that she, alongside some of her colleagues, were pushing hard to make the show happen.

However, according to Deadline, McEntire has now offered a disheartening update on plans for a Reba revival. As the actress reveals, the Reba cast remains busy with other projects, so it’s hard to get them together. Nevertheless, there is still some hope. Read what she said below.

“So many obstacles. The TV business changes so much that sometimes reboots are hot and then they’re not. Plus getting everyone scheduled together is also hard. Steve Howie is very busy, and so is Joanna Garcia. Mellisa [Peterman] is doing wonderful and here we are making a movie together. I guess timing and schedule will dictate that in the future.”

    Reba cast

While the update likely disappoints those longing for a Reba revival, McEntire is right about the logistics being hard to figure out. First, the show was produced under the banner of 20th Century Fox, and with the company being absorbed into Disney, the new bosses might not see the appeal.

Reboots and revivals are undoubtedly hot these days, but broadcasters and streaming services tend to prioritize properties that have had mass followings during their runs, and with Reba not being a big-four sitcom, some might not perceive a revival as a safe bet. The sitcom was indeed a bit hit for its channel and parent networks, but with The CW undergoing a leadership change itself, the chances are not so bright that the new management would want to invest in a cult favorite over the more popular hits that are also ripe for a reboot treatment.

Despite the discouraging news, McEntire is not giving up hope on the possibility of a Reba revival. The show has a better shot at happening if all cast members are on board. However, as the star mentioned, the original Reba actors have been quite busy.

Once McEntire’s cast mates are through with their commitments, the team can sit down and work out the story details, as well as a potential schedule for the revival. That said, progress on the Reba reboot seems to be a developing situation, and whether the show happens will become clear in subsequent months if a proper plan takes shape and some concrete conversations happen.

[VERY SAD] The Tragic Truth About What Happened To “Reba” Star

Scarlett Pomers: What Happened To Kyra From Reba (& Where The Actress Is Now)

Blended image of Kyra Hart (Scarlett Pomers) overtop a background of question marks and the Reba cast

Scarlett Pomers played a pivotal role in the sitcom Reba (2001-2007) as Kyra Hart, so her absence from the sitcom’s fifth season was notable, causing fans to wonder what happened. The six-season show was one of its kind, a multi-cam sitcom filmed in front of a large studio audience. At its anchor was country superstar Reba McEntire as Reba Hart, a single mom of three kids whose husband leaves her for his dental hygenist.

Many Star Trek fans recognize Pomers as the young Naomi Wildman in Star Trek: Voyager, and the child actress was right at home when she joined the cast of Reba as a teenager in the role of Kyra. Reba’s middle child, Kyra was known for her sharp wit, sarcastic humor, yubi, and rebellious nature. Kyra’s character often challenged her mother and older sister, bringing an edge to the show’s family dynamics. As one of the key characters, Kyra’s quick comebacks and teenage rebellion endeared her to fans, and she was sorely missed in season 5.

Scarlett Pomers Sought Treatment For An Eating Disorder

Scarlett Pomers as Kyra in Reba (2001) looking sad

Pomers had appeared as Kyra in every season of Reba up until season 5, where her character was only in two episodes. This absence was due to Pomers’ battle with anorexia nervosa, a serious eating disorder that led to her weight dropping dangerously low. In late 2005, she sought treatment and took time off from the show to focus on her health, checking herself into a treatment facility. After leaving the facility in 2006, Pomers went public about her struggles, and she used her platform to raise awareness about eating disorders (via Wide Open Country).

Following her recovery, Pomers became an ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association, using her experience to help others struggling with similar issues. She also launched Arch-Angels, a charity dedicated to raising funds for those who cannot afford treatment for eating disorders. Pomers started the organization after witnessing families go bankrupt trying to save their children from these life-threatening conditions. She told The Baltimore Sun,

A lot of people only think it affects women – young, white women. It can happen to anybody, and it does happen to a lot of people. No one’s safe.

How Kyra’s Absence Was Explained On Reba

Kyra Says She “Went To Get Something To Eat”

Scarlett Pomers did return to Reba for the sitcom’s sixth and final season, and was greeted by enthusiastic applause from the live studio audience. Rather than offer a lengthy explanation as to Kyra’s absence, Reba simply asks her daughter, “Where have you been?. The middle Hart child replies, “I went to get something to eat.”

This joke was later repeated throughout the episode, an obvious reference to Pomers’ eating disorder. While this may seem like it was in poor taste, Pomers has never publically spoken out about it, and her willingness to come back to the show after departing in season 5 suggests she was fine with the joke.

    Where Scarlett Pomers Is Now

Scarlett Pomers Left Hollywood & Has Pursued Other Artistic Endeavors

Scarlett Pomers as Kyra Hart standing by the fridge and frowning in Reba

After Reba ended, Scarlett Pomers continued to focus on advocacy and raising awareness about eating disorders, following her personal battle with anorexia. She also made the decision to permanently retire from acting and explore other interests. In an interview with StarTrek.com, Pomers was asked if she was finished with Hollywood, and she replied,

Pretty much. I’ve been doing some voiceover work here and there, but for the most part I’m focused on the music and photography. That keeps me busy and happy, and I can make enough of a living doing it.

Pomers has thoroughly embraced her passion for music, forming the band SCARLETT, which played various event venues in Los Angeles. She also released her debut EP, Insane, in 2010, though she confessed in the StarTrek.com interview that it was a pure passion project and she wasn’t in it for the money.

In addition to her photography pursuits, Pomers also opened an online jewelry store, The Mermaid’s Lure, though it doesn’t appear to be selling more products. However, Pomers has recently resurfaced on social media, and has begun posting on her Facebook and Instagram pages again. In her Instagram bio, she describes herself as “Writer. Director. Horror enthusiast,” so it could very well be possible that directing a horror movie is in Pomers’ post-Reba future.

  • ABC Pairs Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing and Reba McEntire’s Malibu Country for Comedy Revival

ABC Pairs Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing and Reba McEntire’s Malibu Country for Comedy Revival

TV Review: ABC Pairs ‘Last Man Standing,’ ‘Malibu Country’ on Fridays

I wasn’t a big fan of “Last Man Standing” when it premiered over a year ago but it looks like a landmark program when compared to the vastly inferior new sitcom with which it has been paired, the new “Malibu Country” with Reba (who apparently goes by one name now) and Lily Tomlin.

Both shows hearken back to the old-fashioned TGIF brand of programming, complete with laugh tracks and borderline offensive cliches. Do you miss “According to Jim” and “My Wife and Kids”? ABC has a couple of shows for you.

And I don’t mean that to sound as cynical or negative as it might. The fact is that sitcoms have come a long way in the last decade and what used to be passable in the genre looks cliched now. I have no problem with a well-done family sitcom (“The Middle” borders on being a great show), so don’t presume that I think all sitcoms need to be pop culture parades like “Community.” And there are definite moments in the season premiere of “Last Man Standing” in which one can see what works about the show.

It’s not “All in the Family” but it’s trying for that model of an old-fashioned patriarch being assaulted by a new world. On the other hand, “Malibu Country” can’t shake its cliches and even its talented cast looks like they wish they were on a better program.

    “Last Man Standing”

The night starts with the better of the two programs by some stretch as Tim Allen deftly leads an ensemble that includes some talented performers and a writing staff willing to write a few interesting jokes. When I read that the season premiere would tackle the 2012 Presidential campaign, I presumed all of the jokes would be simple and obvious but there are actually a few clever political jabs as Mike (Allen) realizes that his daughters are voting for Obama while he’s a staunch Romney supporter himself. There are thousands of households right now going through the same dilemma — political divisions at the dinner table. It’s kind of nice that at least one family sitcom was willing to tackle it directly.

Having said that, there are still some frustratingly obvious jokes in “Last Man Standing” and I find the family dynamic much more engaging than the workplace one. “LMS” is one of those comedies that kind of wants to have it all — family comedy, workplace comedy, yubi, old-fashioned comedy — and dilutes it all down to a very safe degree of humor.

The cast works and there’s a joke every once in awhile that’s surprising and so I have to say that “Last Man Standing” is improved over its series premiere but it’s still one of those shows that most people wouldn’t have noticed if it had been canceled instead of renewed.

Reba McEntire Has Finally Landed Another Starring Role On TV, 7 Years After Malibu Country | Cinemablend

    Malibu Country

    “Malibu Country”

Maybe I thought “Last Man Standing” was better-than-expected because I watched this stinker first. The typically charming Reba can’t find the hook in a show that wallows in two cliches — the redneck Southerner and the pampered Californian.

Reba put her music career on hold years ago to support her country music star husband, who the world just found out was cheating on her. So Reba, her mother Lillie Mae (Lily Tomlin), and two kids move to California, where she tries to break into the business in the land of plastic surgery and back stabbing.

What is there really to say about a show like “Malibu Country” that tries to get most of its humor out of jokes about homosexuality (the boy next door claims to be but is caught making out with Reba’s daughter), plastic surgery, or Lillie Mae discovering marijuana lollipops. It’s all such easy writing with such lackluster pacing.

It feels much longer than its 22 minutes and it’s just sad to watch someone as talented as Lily Tomlin caught up in this mess. She looks visibly bored. Everyone involved deserves better.

“Last Man Standing” stars Tim Allen, Nancy Travis, Molly Ephraim, Kaitlyn Dever, Amanda Fuller, and Hector Elizondo. It returns on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 7pm CST. “Malibu Country” stars Reba, Lily Tomlin, Sara Rue, Juliette Angelo, and Jai Rodriguez. It premieres on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 7:30pm CST. Both shows are on ABC.

  • Not Everybody Loves Raymond: Why Fans Are Turning Away from the Classic Sitcom. Examining the Show’s Flaw

Not Everybody Loves Raymond: Why Fans Are Turning Away from the Classic Sitcom. Examining the Show’s Flaw

Why Many Fans Don’t Love Everybody Loves Raymond: A Closer Look at the Show’s Flaws

When Everybody Loves Raymond premiered in 1996, it quickly became a staple of American sitcom culture. With its Emmy-winning cast, relatable family dynamics, and dry humor, the show ran for nine seasons and earned critical acclaim. But despite its success, not everyone was charmed. Over the years, a growing number of viewers have voiced their discontent — and their reasons are worth examining.

Everybody Loves Raymond deserves to be remembered as a TV classic | Vox

📺 The Central Complaint: Toxic Family Dynamics

One of the most common criticisms is the show’s portrayal of family relationships, particularly the constant bickering and manipulation. Raymond’s parents, Frank and Marie, are often cited as emotionally abusive, especially toward Raymond’s wife, Debra. Marie’s passive-aggressive meddling and Frank’s blunt insensitivity create a household dynamic that some viewers find more stressful than funny.

While the show presents these interactions as comedic exaggerations, many fans feel the dysfunction hits too close to home — and not in a comforting way. Instead of lighthearted banter, it can feel like watching unresolved tension play out week after week.

🙄 Raymond’s Character: Lovable or Lazy?

Ray Barone, played by Ray Romano, is meant to be the lovable everyman. But to some, he comes off as immature, selfish, and emotionally unavailable. His frequent avoidance of responsibility — both as a husband and a father — is often played for laughs, but it leaves many viewers frustrated.

Debra, portrayed by Patricia Heaton, is frequently shown as overwhelmed and underappreciated. While she’s meant to be the voice of reason, her constant exasperation can feel exhausting, and some fans argue that the show never gives her the emotional payoff she deserves.

    💤 Repetitive Plotlines and Humor

Another issue fans raise is the show’s reliance on repetitive storylines. Many episodes revolve around Raymond hiding something from Debra, Marie interfering in their marriage, or Frank making an inappropriate comment. While this formula worked for a time, critics argue that it became stale and predictable by later seasons.

Everybody Loves Raymond Was Canceled For A Very Specific Reason, But Fans Are Still Confused Today

The humor, too, is often described as dated or overly reliant on stereotypes. Compared to modern sitcoms that explore deeper emotional arcs or more diverse perspectives, Everybody Loves Raymond can feel one-dimensional.

👀 A Matter of Taste — and Time

Of course, comedy is subjective. What one viewer finds hilarious, another might find cringeworthy. For fans of classic sitcoms like The Honeymooners or All in the Family, Everybody Loves Raymond fits comfortably into a tradition of exaggerated family dysfunction. But for others, especially younger audiences, the show’s tone and themes may feel out of step with today’s values.

    📝 Final Thoughts

Everybody Loves Raymond remains a landmark in television history, but it’s not universally adored. From its portrayal of toxic relationships to its repetitive humor, the show has its fair share of detractors. And while its flaws don’t erase its impact, they do explain why many fans — past and present — just don’t love Raymond.

Would you like a follow-up piece comparing it to modern sitcoms like Ted Lasso or Abbott Elementary? I’d be happy to dive deeper.

Why ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Fans Are Frustrated with Ryan Seacrest — And It’s About More Than Just Hosting

‘Wheel of Fortune’ fans have a major complaint about Ryan Seacrest and we totally get why

Ryan Seacrest had big shoes to fill as the new host of “Wheel of Fortune,” and he has done a decent job after taking over from the legendary Pat Sajak. However, fans have at times pointed out how his odd behavior ruins the viewing experience. Recently, a fan noted on the show’s popular Reddit forum that Seacrest creates unnecessary drama. According to a TV Insider report, the user u/Merrydove527 wrote, “I hate the way Ryan Seacrest reveals the prize card in the bonus round. When it’s the minimum of $40,000, he slowly opens it and slowly turns it around as if it were a bigger amount. Just open it and turn it around without hesitation when it’s just the $40,000.”

“He’s got those American Idol dramatics ingrained in him,” u/NewclearGrapefruit jumped into the discussion while referring to Seacrest’s additional hosting skills on the famed ABC network talent show. “I think he’s varied his approach a little more this season, but I’m in total agreement–the prolonged wait invites contestants to think they’ve won more, so their reaction when the $40,000 is revealed is momentarily ‘false.’ Not that they aren’t happy to win, but that they’re expecting to express a greater joy than they actually do. You can see the gear shift happen on their faces, and I feel bad for them. Also, if he varied the reveal strategy more often, then he could occasionally do the ‘casual’ open Pat used to do, with a huge number, and catch them really by surprise,” u/lacanmunist, reasoned.

“Look at the bright side, at least he isn’t Mayim Bialik. She would pause for 5 seconds before revealing it,” u/Trprt77 chimmed in, taking pot shots and comparing Seacrest with former “Jeopardy!” host. As the thread progressed, it revealed more peculiar actions taken by the seasoned host. “I actually think Ryan is doing a good job as host, but it definitely bugs me that he NEVER says the prize amount out loud in the bonus round!! He just opens the envelope and smiles. It’s odd lol,” u/Miss_Swiss_, wrote while discussing Seacrest’s Bonus Round antics. “I really like Ryan. I think he’s been a great fit for the show if we can’t have Pat anymore! But agreed, the slow prize card turning and not calling out the amount is frustrating,” u/RosiePies agreed.

Other fans had problems with Seacrest’s style. “I hated him at first. He’s grown on me as the host. My only complaint is his casual dress code. Pat Sajak would never!!!! lol”, u/RadRob79 shared. However, his admirers defended the veteran host’s on-screen presence. “I think he’s going a great job. It seems like people want to drag him because he’s not Pat’s clone. To be frank, he seems more genuinely excited to be on the show than Pat seemed for a few years now,” u/FluffyBombs gushed.

“I was a hardcore Ryan doubter, but he’s proved me SO wrong. He’s killing it as host! And I agree, I’m starting to like him more than Pat. I think his banter is way more fun, and he feels a lot more natural than Pat did at the end of his time at wheel,” u/smallbrowngorl fawned. Despite his little flaws on the show, Seacrest has grown on the audience.

“Family Feud” is a game where families compete together as a team and rely a lot on their internal coordination. But sometimes contestants say some things that could embarrass family members, and even land them in trouble with their partners. In one episode, a contestant named Denilson shocked the show’s host, Steve Harvey, by going against his family members to share a bizarre answer to the survey question, “A friend really tests your friendship when they ask you to do what for them?” Harvey had to grab the player by his collar and pull him closer to make sure he heard the answer right.

In the episode, Harvey was playing the game with the Calov and the Whitmore families. The latter won the face-off and chose to play the survey question that appeared normal until it was Denilson’s turn to answer. The young man, looking to score big, came up with the answer, “Don’t cheat with their spouse.”

The answer left Harvey shocked, and he couldn’t believe his ears. He walked up to the young man, grabbed him by the shoulder, and repeated his answer to make sure. “One of your friends ever said, ‘Come here, D. Listen, uh…I’m going to go out of town for the weekend. Ima leave my girl over here. Could you do me a favor and not go over there and spend the night while I’m gone?’” Harvey said, mocking the player. “Think you can do that for me? I guess not, huh?” he added.  Unfortunately for the team, the answer did not show up on the board, and they got their second strike.

Before this, the Whitmores were doing well, with some of the players getting top answers. Even Denilson did well at the podium, winning the face-off with the answer, “Watch their kids.” The turn then went to Donovan, who came with another winning answer, “Keep a secret”. With this, the team seemed to be on a roll with the next players winning points as well, with answers like “Borrow money,” “Give them a ride,” and “Help them move”. However, they got one strike as well before the turn circled back to Denilson.

In the end, the Whitmores lost the round when the answer, “Borrow your car,” got them a third strike. Thus, the turn went to the Calov family, who had to steal all the points collected by the young men and their brilliant answers. The team’s leader, Amber, took to the mic after Harvey repeated the question and answered with, “Lie for them.” Luckily for the team, the answer showed up at the very top spot on the board, which meant that the Calov family stole all the points.

Harvey then went on to reveal the remaining answers on the board, which were “Bury a body” and “Steal.”  While Denilson’s answer grabbed Harvey’s attention, the fan-favorite response was “Bury a body” in the comments section of the show’s YouTube clip. Joining the fun in the comments, a fan @robsteingruber9488 wrote, “Friends help friends move. Real friends help move bodies.”

It has been revealed that John Quinn is taking on additional duties as showrunner and executive producer of the much loved show.

Viewers can expect an exciting variety of specially themed episodes in the show’s new season.

Themes will include Breast Cancer Awareness, Valentine’s Day, Pet Adoption Week, Mother’s Day, and School’s Out.

On top of that, show host, Drew Carey will introduce a brand new pricing game for the CBS game show.

The new season is slated for September this year reports Deadline.

However, last year, The Price is Right faced backlash when the show didn’t acknowledge the one-year anniversary of its former host Bob Barker’s death on its social media accounts.

Bob died on August 26, 2023, at 99 years old.

He hosted the show for 35 years before retiring in 2008 and passing his microphone to fan favourite Drew.

The U.S. Sun revealed in May that Drew was the life of the party as he danced and chatted up women until 6 am at an EDM music festival.

Exclusive photos and video footage showed Drew, 66, laughing and flirting with delighted female fans at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas.

Drew was filmed draping his arms around a mystery blonde as they beamed and took photographs together surrounded by revelers in the wee hours of Monday, May 19.

An eyewitness told The U.S. Sun, “Many people were shocked to see Drew in the crowd, especially considering his age, but he was the life and soul of the event.

“He seemed to be having the best time, dancing and laughing with a group of friends all night.

“Plenty of women were going up to him and flirting, he appeared to enjoy the attention and was very friendly.”

Drew, who has hosted The Price Is Right since 2007, is believed to be single. He has been engaged twice but never married.

His ex-fiancee, therapist Dr. Amie Harwick, was murdered in 2020 by her ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse.

The game show host revealed at the time, he is not seriously dating as he continues to process the loss but expressed being able to “finally move on” after Harwick’s murderer was convicted and sentenced.

Drew was seen in April on what appeared to be a date with Niki Skyler, an OnlyFans creator, at Swingers Diner in West Hollywood.

John Quinn said of his new role as showrunner for The Price Is Right: “It’s the show we all watched during summer break and when we were home sick from school.

“This show is a major reason why I work on game shows in the first place, so to be a part of it now is an honor that I do not take lightly.

“I am beyond grateful and still pinching myself!

“From the second I came on board I have felt at home, and that is a testament to the spectacular staff and crew who have been making this show a staple of American television for 53 years. What a delight!”

Price is Right debuts ‘complicated’ and ‘easily rigged’ new game as viewers fear segment is ‘death of the show’

THE PRICE is Right has debuted a ‘complicated’ and ‘easily rigged’ new game as viewers fear the segment is the ‘death of the show.’

The Price is Right kicked off season 54 on Monday, September 22.

The episode premiered its new game, The Lion’s Share, which is a partnership with BetMGM.

On the episode, contestant Marian joined host Drew Carey on stage to become the first person to play the new game.

She entered into a chamber and guessed the prices of all five items correctly.

The household items included a toaster, whisk and more.

She was then able to pick five balls in the chamber, which floated around her.

After choosing, the contestant then chose the ball number she wanted to play from a digital screen.

Marian ended up winning a $14,419 trip to Tokyo, a hot tub worth $11,421, $2,000 cash from two balls and two guitars worth $5,250.

She won a total of $33,090.

    RIGHT PICK?

But fans weren’t impressed with the new game, as one wrote on Reddit, “The ball wind booth was silly but made for a fun game. Prizes seem really good!

“Not sure what the whole ‘Sponsored by MGM Grand’ disclaimer was about. Could this be a temporary game?”

A second commented, “Sponsored games sound like the death of the show. This game was way too complex.”

A third penned, “Idk if I trust the digital screen giving out the prizes either.”

A fourth said, “I thought the same about the digital screen. They could 100% choose any prize they want and show it on the screen.

“The prizes should have been on little pieces of paper inside the balls she chose.”

    The Price is Right Hosts

The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special

A fifth wrote, “Horrendous game all around. Too long, too easy, too luck based, and on top of that, sponsored by a gambling app. Hopefully that was the last time.”

But the game isn’t the only change the show has made for the new season.

The show also announced a new showrunner ahead of Season 54.

John Quinn joined the game show as the executive producer and showrunner.
