The Price Is Right At Night is a fun take on the beloved long-running game show, The Price Is Right, and here’s what we know about the special. The Price Is Right is a beloved American game show that has captivated audiences since its 1956 debut. Its enduring appeal lies in its simplicity, interactivity, and the thrill of winning, coupled with iconic games like Plinko, Cliffhangers, and the Showcase Showdown. The vibrant set, enthusiastic audience, and charismatic hosts create an electric atmosphere, making it a staple of daytime television and a cultural touchstone for generations.

Part of the fun of the show is that its structure encourages audience participation, with contestants randomly selected from the studio crowd. The fact that any audience member can be that day’s big winner adds to the unpredictability and excitement. Beyond the games, the show’s charm comes from its ability to evolve while staying true to its core: celebrating consumer culture with a lighthearted, accessible format. While The Price Is Right airs in the morning, The Price Is Right At Night airs after dark. Read on to learn more about the two-episode special.

The Price Is Right host Drew Carey makes shocking claim about the show

Drew Carey has had a great career in stand up, television and as host of The Price is Right.

One of the secrets to his success is unusual as he revealed before the release of the 30th anniversary edition DVD set of The Drew Carey Show.

‘Not a lot of my fans know [that] I don’t like watching myself on TV. I have a real hard time,’ Drew, 67, told Parade.

‘I’ve sat in the editing room a few times on The Drew Carey Show, and I had to leave.

‘I don’t do it that often because every time I saw it, I was like, “That’s what I look like? And that’s [how] I walk?” I get so tired of seeing myself,’ he said.

He went on to note that one of the producers had some suggestions for his performance on the long running game show.

‘I was like, “Oh my God.” He was like, “I know, I apologize.” And he really had to twist my arm to make me watch myself, even on The Price Is Right,’ he continued.

‘So I’ve always been like this. I don’t watch The Price Is Right. I don’t watch The Drew Carey Show.

‘Once in a while, I’ll put it on [to] just like see a minute of it, or Whose Line [Is It Anyway?].’

Earlier this week, Drew was spotted having a good time at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Drew had his arms his arms around a mystery blonde as they beamed and took photographs together surrounded by revelers in the wee hours.

‘Many people were shocked to see Drew in the crowd, especially considering his age, but he was the life and soul of the event,’ the US Sun reported.

‘He seemed to be having the best time, dancing and laughing with a group of friends all night.

‘Plenty of women were going up to him and flirting, he appeared to enjoy the attention and was very friendly.’

He was also seen last month with OnlyFans creator Niki Skyler in West Hollywood, California.

The lunch excursion came just two months after Drew shared that he is still not dating after his former fiancée Amie Harwick was murdered in 2020 by ex-boyfriend Gareth Pursehouse.

Pursehouse had pled not guilty but in 2023 he was convicted of her murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Carey and Harwick became engaged in 2018 but called it quits later that same year.

During an interview with Us Weekly in February, the TV personality got candid about her tragic death and admitted to the outlet, ‘It destroyed me for a while. I still don’t date.

‘I have women I go out with and spend time with, but it’s all platonic, and I don’t care about anything else. Amie’s death really affected everything.’

He also expressed, ‘I think about her every day. It’s such a loss. Her death still affects me and my ideas about relationships and intimacy.

‘It was all damaged by first our breakup, and then, the day before she died, when she texted me. It had been a really bad breakup for both of us, but a necessary one. I couldn’t think about her or see a picture of her.’

The day before her passing, Carey recalled receiving a message from Amie who brought up the topic of forgiveness and asked to meet up.

He went on to note that one of the producers had some suggestions for his performance on the long running game show that required him to watch himself

‘I texted her that I loved her and that I’d see her the next week,’ the TV host said.

‘I heard from one of her friends that she shed tears about my saying that I loved her still. Which I did. I loved her madly even though we had broken up.’

When her murderer was sentenced to life in prison, Carey opened up to People about finally having closure.

‘I can barely remember the guy’s name — that’s how much I’ve put him out of my life — but ever since the final sentencing, it feels like we’ve all let out a breath and are able to finally move on.’

He continued, ‘The whole process is over now, and there’s nothing else to be done and nothing else to worry about. … Just speaking just for myself, it’s been quite a load off.’

Drew also shared that following her passing, he still has photos of Harwick inside of his house.

‘She’s with me always. A lot of times I’ll feel like I’ll be thinking things through, and it’s almost like I can hear her voice saying, “Well, really, it’s because of this and that.” It’s really nice, honestly.’

‘We’ve Been Talking’: Happy’s Place Showrunner Teases Another Exciting Reba Reunion

The cast of Reba poses for a photo

The following article contains spoilers for Happy’s Place, Season 1.

Reba McEntire’s new NBC sitcom, Happy’s Place, is looking to reunite the actress with more of her Reba co-stars in Season 2. Showrunner Kevin Abbott recently shared his plans for the new season.

Happy’s Place premiered in October 2024, with McEntire starring as Bobbie McAllister, a woman who inherits a bar in Tennessee founded by her father. Bobbie soon finds out she has a half-sister, who also has a claim to the bar’s ownership after the death of their father. As one of NBC’s new sitcoms, Happy’s Place performed well for the network, which led to a second season renewal ahead of the first season’s finale. Now, with a second season on the way, yubi, Abbott revealed to TV Insider that he wants to bring back even more stars from McEntire’s original 2000s sitcom, Reba.

Jacob (Harrison Ford) and Cara (Helen Mirren) Dutton appear in 1923 Season 2

Happy’s Place sees McEntire’s Reba co-star Melissa Peterman playing a main role as Gabby, one of the bartenders at the titular bar. The first season also included notable guest appearances from Shameless star Steve Howey, who played Van Montgomery in Reba and Christopher Rich, who played Reba’s selfish ex-husband Brock in the 2000s sitcom, who appeared in an episode as Maverick.

“We definitely want to bring Joanna [Garcia Swisher] in,” Abbott shared, “We’ve been talking to her. It’s a matter of timing for her.” Garcia played Reba’s daughter, Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery, on the sitcom and went on to gain further popularity in other TV shows, including Once Upon a Time (as Ariel), The Astronaut Wives Club (Betty Grissom), and for hosting Netflix’s reality dating show The Ultimatum: Queer Love. It remains to be seen if the show will bring back Scarlett Pomers or Mitch Holleman, the two actors who rounded out the rest of the Hart family on Reba back in the day.

Happy’s Place Showrunner Teases Season 2’s Story

Whether or not Garcia will be able to make an appearance on Happy’s Place Season 2 remains to be seen, but Abbott also shared other plans he has for the second season of the successful NBC sitcom. With Season 2 now confirmed, Abbott has the opportunity to capitalize on McEntire’s chemistry with her real-life partner Rex Linn, who plays Emmett on the series. As the show goes forward, he wants to explore “Gabby’s motherhood, the Bobbie-Emmett relationship, [and also] Isabella and her backstory.”

    Mid-century Modern stars

“Steve’s becoming a really interesting character to me,” Abbott added. “We want to find out more about Takoda’s home life. […] We wanted to spend a lot of time in Season One letting the audience get to know the characters. Then we’ll get to branch out a little bit more in Season Two now.”

Season 1 of Happy’s Place is now streaming on Peacock.

The pair — who loving call each other “Tater” and “Sugar Tot” — look as comfy as ever next to each other. McEntire is all dolled up for filming the show, with complete hair and makeup. She has one hand around Linn’s shoulders, while the other holds onto his arm.

The actor is in a much more casual ensemble, wearing taupe pants, a T-shirt and a rugged brown leather jacket. He topped off the look with a Young Sheldon hat — a subtle nod to the way to the couple started their romance.

Linn and McEntire initially met in 1991. Although they did not date, they remained friends over the years. It wasn’t until they reunited on the set of the Big Bang Theory spinoff that the pair became good friends — that friendship blossomed into a romance in 2020.

Now, nearly four years later, they are still going strong. Yubi. Though they have not revealed specific plans for marriage, McEntire says she is open to it, if Linn is.

“I told him if he wanted to get married that’s up to him totally. He doesn’t seem pressured one way or the other,” she tells Taste of Country Nights host Evan Paul. “We get along so well. We have fun. We travel together.”

“Now, if you can do a road trip with a person and not get in an argument and still like each other when you get to your destination, that’s a pretty good partnership right there,” she adds.

McEntire is in her first season as a coach on The Voice. With two contestants left on her team — Ruby Leigh and Jacquie Roar — heading into the finale, the odds of her winning her rookie season are pretty high.

In March 2024, Meta approved and accepted money for at least one paid ad claiming country music star Reba McEntire “stormed off” the set of NBC’s “The Voice” after producers kicked her off the show.

The headline of the ad read, “Reba McEntire Storms off ‘The Voice.’” A different version of the ad also added, “I was kicked out by the producers for my choice? I’ll Miss Ya’ll!”

A false rumor claimed Reba McEntire stormed off The Voice after producers kicked her off the show, which led to a scam about Bloom CBD Gummies or Natures Leaf CBD Gummies.

However, this ad was both false and a scam. Even so, Meta still hosted the ad for many weeks, with some users still receiving the ad in their feeds on Facebook and Instagram in early June. Snopes confirmed the ad was still active as of June 6.

Users clicking on the ad visited a fake Fox News article hosted on the scam website newkirk.buzz. The article falsely claimed McEntire created a product named Bloom CBD Gummies or Nature’s Leaf CBD Gummies to help “reverse dementia.” The headline of the fake article read, “Reba McEntire reverses dementia solution, sparks huge lawsuit pressure on Fox, she finally fights back on air.”

The website for the British Alzheimer’s Society once published, “There are no research studies that prove cannabis, or products such as cannabis oil (CBD oil), can stop, slow, reverse or prevent the diseases that cause dementia.”

Snopes documented in past articles how Meta and Facebook have for years approved and accepted money for other scam ads showing McEntire’s face and name, seemingly with either little or no pushback from the tech giant and its billions of dollars in quarterly revenue.

On the same day Snopes reviewed this scam in June 2024, we noted other active false paid ads hosted by Meta leading to similar CBD gummies scams. Those ads and scams falsely claimed Dana Perino and Laura Ingraham were leaving Fox News, James Dobson was “[walking] away from the church,” Garth Brooks was leaving “his ministry” and Dolly Parton confirmed “heartbreaking news.” None of these famous people have ever endorsed CBD gummies. Bloom CBD Gummies and Nature’s Leaf CBD Gummies misleadingly appeared in all of these articles, too.

A promotional video was uploaded on Monday to The Voice’s official account on X, formerly Twitter.

The video showed new hosts Dan + Shay blocking Reba from taking an artist.

“The taste a sweet revenge,” they explained.

    “We had our first block.”

The shot cut to show Reba explaining that she can steal the artist back from the pop music duo.

John Legend added fuel to the fire by saying the three judges were fighting over a contestant and that there was a sour atmosphere on the panel.

Dan + Shay explained that they gave each other a look before deciding to block Reba.

“I knew exactly what to do,” Shay said.

“It felt awesome. Blocking the queen of country music, put that one on the resume,” Dan replied.

Fans seemed to be annoyed at the interaction and said the judges rip into each other too much.

“The Voice has put the focus on bantering among judges as opposed to the talent. That has gotten old,” wrote a viewer on social media.

“Dan and Shay have ruined The Voice for me! I can not stand listening to them, never mind watching them,” said another enraged fan.

“Not enjoying Dan +Shay on The Voice,” noted a third.

“The only The Voice winner I know is Blake Shelton,” stated a fourth.

    BLAKE’S DEPARTURE

Blake Shelton left The Voice last year after Season 23.

“I’ve been wrestling with this for a while and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after season 23,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

“This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me.”

“It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people, you are the best.”

Since his departure, many avid fans have been left unhappy and feel as if the show may have run its course.

    TIME TO FINISH?

This season, Dan + Shay have made their coaching debut, replacing singer Niall Horan while he’s on tour, as John and Reba remain on the panel, joined by alum Chance the Rapper.

Some fans aren’t all that happy with the show this season, and they are not keeping quiet on the matter.

“I’m thinking that #TheVoice has run its course,” one person tweeted.

“Are there any fun people that audition? Everything is a sob story, and there is far more church talk than anything…. Just boring. Same s**t different half year.

“I do like me some country music; but I love me some rock & roll & even some pop,” another viewer commented.

The “I’m a Survivor” singer has tried her hand at marriage twice before, but she’s not saying no to a third trip down the aisle with her boyfriend of four years.

“If that’s something he feels totally strong about, that’s fine with me,” she exclusively told E! News’ Francesca Amiker. “He’s never been married before. So, if he wants to experience that, I’m OK with that.”

And though Reba, 69, joked that she doesn’t “have much faith in being bound by a piece of paper or ring,” she is “truly committed to Rex.”

In fact, the two have been “pretty much inseparable ever since June 16 of 2020,” when they reunited after she guest-starred on his show Young Sheldon that January.

“It was just like a magnet,” Reba—who was married to Charlie Battles from 1976 to 1987 and to Narvel Blackstock from 1989 to 2015—recalled of their reunion. “We didn’t get to see each other from January ’til June 16, but we created an intimacy by texting and talking over the telephone that we wouldn’t have gotten if we’d have been together all of that time.”

And the love she shares with Rex, who she’s known since 1991, has even helped The Voice coach feel more confident in herself.

“When you do love yourself, that means you’re confident, you’re comfortable,” she said. “You love yourself, and it’s easier to love others.”

Reba’s message of self-confidence is one she’s exploring in her partnership with Dove, which is celebrating 20 years of real beauty and a commitment to not use AI in ads.

“That’s a great thing,” Reba said, “because in my industry that’s what we’re finding right now: We want to be presented as ourselves.”

Reba McEntire brought country to Hollywood at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The “Fancy” singer, 69, stepped out at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles for the awards show on Sunday, September 15, with her former Reba costar Melissa Peterman. McEntire wore an emerald green pantsuit with a sequined silver top and accessorized with a trio of star brooches on her lapel, while Peterman, 53, opted for a periwinkle cape dress with a floral neckline.

While speaking to Laverne Cox during E!’s red carpet coverage, McEntire and Peterman discussed their new sitcom, Happy’s Place, which also stars McEntire’s boyfriend, Rex Linn. According to McEntire, however, her and Linn’s characters won’t be getting together on screen.

“It’s a possibility later on, like, in season 7,” the country star quipped to Cox, 52.

McEntire is set to present an award during Sunday’s ceremony. She’ll soon be back on the small screen in Happy’s Place, which debuts on NBC Friday, October 18. She plays a woman named Bobbie who inherits her father’s bar following his death. Linn, 67, stars as a cook named Emmett.

Earlier this year, McEntire said it was “lovely” getting to work with Linn on the show. “We love working together,” she told Extra in May. “What’s really the best part about it, he’s my coach. So when we’re home, he’s helping me with my lines and to memorize. He’s wonderful. He helps me a lot.”

McEntire and Linn initially met in 1991 while filming The Gambler Returns with the late Kenny Rogers. At the time, McEntire was married to Narvel Blackstock, with whom she shares son Shelby, 34, but she and Linn “occasionally” kept in touch over the years. They reconnected in 2020 when McEntire filmed a guest spot on Young Sheldon. (She divorced Blackstock, 68, in 2015.)

According to McEntire, she and Linn went out to dinner with friends after work one night, and she “started seeing Rex in a whole new light.” They started texting amid the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and quickly hit it off.

“We talked for hours every day,” she recalled in her 2023 book, Not That Fancy. “All we could do was talk! But that wasn’t a bad thing. It gave us a chance to get to know each other better. From the very first call, I was just my honest self with him — never any pretense or performance. We were just ‘us,’ and it worked.”

That initial dinner also sparked their nicknames for one another: sugar tot and tater tot. The monikers came about because McEntire ordered tater tots at that first outing.

“I love tater tots,” she wrote. “Rex is famous for giving people nicknames. When he heard me say ‘tater tots,’ he said, ‘That’s our nickname.’ And that’s what he still calls me today.” (She calls him sugar tot.)

In addition to McEntire and Linn, Happy’s Place also stars Peterman, who previously acted alongside McEntire on her first sitcom, Reba, which aired from 2001 to 2007.

“We’ve been friends ever since,” Peterman told Entertainment Weekly in July. “We’ve done other things together. I got to go on tour with her and open the show and do stand-up, and we vacation together. We hang out, and we just were waiting for another project so we could actually go to work together again.”
