NBC has officially announced the premiere slot for Reba McEntire’s highly anticipated new sitcom, generating excitement among fans eager to see their favorite star back on screen

Reba McEntire’s New NBC Sitcom Premiere Window Revealed

Reba McEntire Bobbi Belissa Escobedo Isabella Happy's Place

    Summary

Reba McEntire’s new sitcom, Happy’s Place, will premiere in late 2024 in the 8/7c slot on NBC Fridays.
Happy’s Place will be McEntire’s first lead role in a sitcom since Reba and Malibu Country.
The new sitcom reunites McEntire with Melissa Peterman and echoes themes from her past show, Reba.

Reba McEntire’s new NBC sitcom, Happy’s Place, has received an official release window from the network. While McEntire is best known for her country music career, which earned her the nickname “Queen of Country,” she has also had an impressive television career. From 2001-2007, the country musician was the lead star of the sitcom Reba before its cancelation. Now, McEntire will once more be headlining a comedy with the upcoming NBC sitcom, which sees her star as Bobbi, a woman who inherits her father’s restaurant and must run it with her half-sister (Belissa Escobedo) she never knew existed.

NBC has confirmed Happy’s Place’s release window, revealing the show will be released sometime in late 2024. Once it premieres, it will occupy the 8/7c slot on Friday nights. The news arose as NBC unveiled its Fall lineup for the year. On Fridays, Happy’s Place will be followed by Lopez vs. Lopez as the show returns for its third season. Dateline NBC will round out Friday nights, airing from 9-11 PM.

Reba McEntire Makes Her Anticipated Sitcom Return in Happy’s Place

Reba McEntire looks annoyed in Big Sky with trees in the background

Happy’s Place will mark McEntire’s first lead role in a sitcom since Reba and Malibu Country both ended prematurely. Since 2013, McEntire has almost exclusively stuck to recurring or guest roles in scripted series in addition to serving as a coach on The Voice. However, in 2022, she departed from her usual roles and nabbed a lead role in Big Sky season 3. While viewers were delighted by her Western debut, she only got to star in a single season before the show was canceled. Hence, her new sitcom feels necessary to make up for her abruptly canceled shows.

Although some viewers may have preferred to see her in further seasons of Big Sky, McEntire has always had a knack for comedies, and her recent statements have indicated it’s where her heart is, too. Although it has been over 15 years since Reba was canceled by The CW, McEntire has never stopped fighting to have the show rebooted. As recently as 2022, McEntire indicated her interest in a Reba reboot, though she has admitted it may never happen. While Happy’s Place can’t replace Reba, it does finally give McEntire a new sitcom to lead.

Meanwhile, there are a few similarities between Reba and Happy’s Place. The new comedy marks a reunion between McEntire and Melissa Peterman, who starred together in Reba. Additionally, both shows follow a character portrayed by McEntire who has her life turned upside down after discovering a family secret. Since there’s, unfortunately, little indication that a Reba reboot will happen, Happy’s Place is the next best show to usher in McEntire’s long-awaited return to the sitcom universe.

Jeopardy! contestant makes shocking claim about ‘fairness’ in the Tournament of Champions

A JEOPARDY! contestant in the Tournament of Champions has shared a jaw-dropping revelation about how the coveted contest is produced.

A fan on Reddit was convinced that the game show’s producers decided who plays who in each game.

Jeopardy!’s 2024 Tournament of Champions has finally hit the small screens and is now in its quarterfinals.

In an upset for the ages, 21-day champion Cris Panullo lost his first-round match to three-day champion Jared Watson on Monday.

But that shocker wasn’t what intrigued this particular Jeopardy! fan.

Instead, it was how Cris was also matched against Ben Goldstein.

After Ben’s run ended, fans may recall that the five-day champ called out Cris, declaring in a post-game interview: “Cris Pannullo, I’m coming for you, baby!”

The fact that Goldstein was then paired with Pannullo in the ToC seemed more than just a coincidence, given he challenged him.

    ‘INTENTIONAL?’

The fan wrote: “I like to imagine that the producers intentionally paired Ben [Goldstein] and Cris together after Ben’s tongue-in-cheek challenge to him after winning five games.”

Suresh Krishnan (who won last Friday’s premiere) wrote back, explaining that’s not the case.

In fact, as he explained, all of the ToC matches are completely randomized.

He wrote: “It may seem like that, but I am fairly sure that had nothing to do with the picks.

“There is a third-party auditing firm that makes those picks (i.e., who plays who), and they are not affiliated with Jeopardy.”

The stunned fan replied, joking: “I’m sure you’re right, but that’s not as fun of an explanation!”

The confession is surprising because many fans were convinced the producers chose each matchup to heighten the stakes.

    CRIS GETS CRUSHED

Meanwhile, viewers expected Pannullo to win easily on Monday as his 21 wins brought him $748,400, the fifth-highest regular gameplay earnings in history, and its sixth-longest run.

However, the ToC’s frontrunner did anything but and lost to a three-time champ in a runaway.

The first sign of trouble came in the Jeopardy! round, when Cris flubbed a math clue picked up by Jared, who then found the round’s Daily Double.

The quality control specialist from Greenville, Texas, and musician went all-in and aced it as “Space Mountain,” tying Cris and scoring a huge round of applause.

By Final Jeopardy, Jared had an uncatchable lead at $32,200, Cris at $14,000, and Ben at $4,400 – the coffin nail was that Jared also aced Final Jeopardy, Cris didn’t and dropped to $0.

As Jared advanced to the semifinals, he exclaimed: “What is even happening right now!?”

Ken Jennings remarked: “Big upsets like that are gonna happen!” and Cris went over to give his victor a handshake.

    ‘JAW STILL ON THE FLOOR’

Fans flooded a Reddit internet thread, shocked that the 2024 ToC’s top seed and the winningest contestant since Matt and Amy is out.

One fan wrote: “Welcome to the Tournament of Chaos, everybody. And congratulations to Jared on his victory.”

Another wrote: “Eventually, I just continued watching this episode with my mouth agape as I tried to process what was happening. Congrats to Jared!”

A third wrote: “THIS is why I love the ToC. It is not to see one of our greatest all-time competitors go out in the quarterfinals. It is a reminder that anything can happen and nobody enters with the competition on lock.”

A fourth wrote: “Oh. my. god. My jaw is still on the floor after that game. did anyone see this coming?? I’m bummed to see cris go, but i have a feeling this won’t be the last we see of him on jeopardy.

Jared then penned: “To all of those that are shocked that this happened, NONE of you are more shocked than me!

“Make no mistake, I prepared harder for this than anything I’ve ever done, and I wanted to play the best I possibly could, but still, I never expected this.

“Playing Cris was my nightmare scenario going in, as I’m sure it was for many of the other contestants in this absolutely loaded field.”

The ToC will all conclude in late March, with the victor earning $250,000, a championship belt, an invite to the next Jeopardy! Masters in May, and serious bragging rights.

Ken, 49, helms the ToC, as he is now Jeopardy!’s permanent and only host following Mayim Bialik’s firing in December 2023.

Jeopardy! fans shocked by ‘brutal’ episode with one of the highest number of triple-stumpers ‘ever’

JEOPARDY! fans were left stupified by how many clues went over all three players’ heads on Wednesday’s episode.

There were an astounding 23 triple stumpers – or clues to which no contestant correctly responded – which is close to an all-time record.

One fan posted: 'I think this was the least amount of questions answered in a Jeopardy! game'

On Wednesday’s episode, Suresh Krishnan, a networking engineer from Suwanee, Georgia, was the one to beat after taking out three-day champ Jared Watson.

He faced Collette Lee, a middle school math teacher from Paxton, Illinois, and Kristine Rembach, a human rights lawyer from Ghent, New York.

The Jeopardy! round categories were sweet nods to the late Stephen Sondheim and were all titled after his musicals – but the Double Jeopardy! round left everyone on a sour note.

There were a whopping 16 missed clues out of 30, and 23 missed clues out of 60 overall.

The triple-stumper three-buzz sound became a recurring note, and the contestants looked exhausted up there, either making a wrong guess, not seeming to understand the category, or not buzzing in at all.

When Kristine got the last Daily Double correct (the first two were no-gos), it felt like a small miracle and the in-studio audience loudly applauded.

Going into Final Jeopardy, she had $8,500 while Suresh had $7,000 and Collette $3,500 – no one getting into the five digits.

“It’s time for Final Jeopardy, here’s the category,” host Mayim Bialik simply concluded not remarking on the sorry sight during the episode.

Final Jeopardy! under “European Countries” read: “Of all the nations that border Italy, the one that didn’t exist in 1990.”

Suresh and Collette were correct, thankfully, with “Slovenia” and added $3,499 for a $10,499 victory giving him a two-day total of $21,099.

    ‘WORST GAME EVER?’

One person wrote under a YouTube clip: “Probably the most unanswered questions ever. WTF! One of the worst games ever.”

“In their defense, a lot of the questions were pretty hard,” someone else replied.

“WOW…MUST BE A RECORD FOR MOST UNANSWERED QUESTIONS,” wrote a third.

“I think this was the LEAST amount of questions answered in a Jeopardy game!!!” wrote a fourth.

“That was one of the worst #Jeopardy games ever. Yikes,” wrote a fifth.

“Getting a little disappointed with this bunch” wrote a sixth.

A seventh wrote on Reddit that Mayim could have done more in the way of bedside manner or maybe an ad-lib about the stack of stumpers.

“I feel like Ken or Alex would’ve commented like Alex did when all three contestants didn’t get any clue in the [Talkin’] Football category, but Mayim and the contestants didn’t say anything.”

“I haven’t quite figured it out yet, but somehow this is Mayim Bialik’s fault,” joked one more.

Contestant Collette then chimed into the Reddit thread and wrote: “Kristine and I commented on that to each other before Final, saying that we were worried we’d go viral for not knowing anything!

“I personally tried to ‘keep calm and clam up’ to try to avoid ending up in the red with bad guesses but as the game wore on, especially in Double Jeopardy it was obvious we were collectively riding the struggle bus with our board!”

AND THE TRIPLE STUMPER TROPHY GOES TO…

However, according to the J-Archive the record for Triple Stumpers in one game is just one away at 24.

It took place in 2005 during the Ultimate Tournament of Champions.

When the players whiffed an entire Oscars category an always-quick-on-his-feet Alex Trebek joked: “At least the quotes are entertaining.”

    MUM MAYIM?

Last episode, the host some raised eyebrows for not acknowledging that outgoing 3-day winner Jared swept an entire category before losing.

He racked up $6000 after booking it through “Books & Authors” but host Mayim, 47, did not mention a thing.

Running a category is a respected and rare feat and when a contestant swept a “Phobias” category earlier this year co-host Ken Jennings was quick to applaud: “That’s correct, you know your phobias!”

One Reddit user wrote in an internet thread: “No love for Jared running the category of Books and Authors? Jeez…”

Another spotted the snub too: “For some reason, Mayim failed to give props to Jared on running the BOOKS & AUTHORS category.”

Even Suresh, who won the episode, chimed in to say: “I wondered that too.”

WHAT IS: THE JEOPARDY! HOST SCHEDULE

Ken wrapped the thrilling Jeopardy! Masters special, which was won by James Holzhauer.

Underdog Mattea Roach, 24, came in a close second last month.

Mayim, who is Ken’s co-successor to the late, great Alex, is finishing out the regular season until the summer.

Ken won’t be seen until the 2023 Tournament of Champions, which will kick off Season 40 in September, barring the last week of Season 39.

Many Jeopardy! viewers who have tuned in since Masters have not been overly impressed with Mayim and her hosting style.

In particular, they also noticed that the star takes too long to respond to contestants when they give their responses.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer fumed: “As hard as I have tried I do not care for Mayim Bialik hosting Jeopardy!. She pauses before she answers and it drives me crazy. And I’m spoiled from the Masters.”

A second person agreed and replied: “My sentiments exactly. I think she waits for somebody in her ear to tell her whether the answer is accepted and it annoys me to no end. Then there’s the Masters hangover I have also. Ken Jennings has humor & charisma.”

Last week, other viewers begged Jeopardy! producers to address the issue.

Since Mayim wasn’t fast enough to mark the responses right or wrong, a contestant started adding to his responses while waiting for her to rule.

Thankfully the additions he made to his two responses did not render him incorrect.

Drew Carey mocked for ‘aging himself’ with flat joke that ‘nobody laughed at’ before big Price Is Right win

THE Price is Right host Drew Carey has been roasted by fans for an on-stage quip that wasn’t on the money with the audience.

The long-running CBS series shared the recent clip on Instagram on Wednesday before new episodes return next month.

Drew, 66, joined a contestant named Ryan for The Money Game.

The Money Game involves a board of nine two-digit numbers, two of which are the first and last two digits of a car’s price.

The middle digit is revealed at the outset, and the contestant chooses one figure at a time.

Ryan chose a “25,” the correct first digits of the navy sedan’s cost

Next, Ryan chose “52,” and Drew walked over to the board to find the corresponding panel.

“Car 52, where are you?” Drew asked, referencing the opening theme song from Scooby Doo.

The joke was not met with any laughter, and The Price is Right host nervously smiled.

“No?” he asked the crowd, quietly chuckling with a spaced-out “ha ha” as he found the panel.

“52” was a dollar sign, so it was placed in the player’s cash column.

Ryan still had to pick the panel with the two digits, and Drew awkwardly said, “Let’s try not to stretch it out. I’d like to get it over with.”

Ryan correctly chose “83” as the last two digits of the car’s value, winning the car.

He rushed over to the side of the stage to claim his new whip.

    ‘THAT WAS ROUGH LOL’

Fans drove the comments section of the Instagram clip, where a few dunked on Drew, made worse by the fact he’s a comedian.

“Drew really aging himself with the ‘car 52 where are you’ comment that nobody laughed at,” one fan wrote, which was the top-liked comment.

“Yeah, that was rough lol,” replied another.

Others enjoyed the segment: “This and the die game is my favorite game to win a car,” another comment read.

    COSTLY SCHEDULE CHANGE?

Season 53 of the iconic game show premieres in late September.

Some fans were outraged over the show’s schedule change to its new season.

The Price is Right at Night will return on September 23rd, airing on Monday nights on CBS from 8 to 9 p.m. EST.

However, the night episodes used to air on Wednesdays.

With the switch from Wednesdays to Mondays, some fans are worried that Monday Night Football will affect future episodes.

Football often delays programs when the games go into overtime.

“I don’t know why CBS is moving the night shows to Monday night? They are now competing head-to-head with NFL Monday Night Football,” one fan said on Reddit.

    “That’s definitely unfair,” another wrote.

    CUT IT OUT!

In a bit of a lower-stakes request, fans are also pining for the show to eliminate the Lucky 7 game.

In a recent Instagram comments section, viewers asked producers to cut the game from the show overall, as it has such a low success rate.

“I’ve been watching the show for 50 plus years and it’s very rare for someone to win on Lucky 7 that’s a hard game but good for her that must mean there’s going to be a show on tonight,” one wrote.

“Hope Lucky Seven or what I really like to called it UNLUCKY SEVEN needs to stop playing more often come Season 53 or it’s going to be the producers’ fault,” a second slammed.

Another viewer also called the show’s Time Is Money segment “awful.”

“Your TIME IS MONEY game is awful. First of all, why do you give the contestant only 10 seconds to grab and place all of the items? It should be 15 seconds MINIMUM,” they wrote.

“Slowing it down by a few seconds would be more fair and it would still be fast paced. Please consider these minor changes before it affects one of your contestants.”

During the game, players are given seven one-dollar bills to start as they begin to predict each digit.

For each incorrect number guessed, the player must give back one dollar bill to Drew.

The contestant must have $1 left after all the digits are revealed to win.

They can then purchase the car for $1, essentially winning the game.

More often than not, the game ends in a loss.

An engaged couple won a brand new car during their first appearance on The Price Is Right – prompting host Drew Carey to suggest a funny new name for the show.

Contestants Kristin and Matthew got engaged and celebrated the news by winning the whole competition with $104,962 worth of prices.

Their road to fortune began when they played One Away, a game in which guests have to change each digit shown and guess the correct price for a car. The couple got three numbers in a row correct before getting the fourth one wrong. When trying to figure out the other numbers, host Drew joked to Matthew: “Some people call this show The Wife is Right as a joke.” The price was $44,385.

They then headed to the wheel and faced two other couples. It must have been Kristin and Matthew’s lucky day after they spun the wheel and headed to the showcase as they spun 90, beating the couple before who spun 55. A person on X, formerly known as Twitter, felt bad for the couple who spun 55, writing: “For the couple spinning the wheel, husband ruined their night staying at 55. Why?!?! #ThePriceIsRight #PriceIsRight.” Kristin and Matthew ended up winning the competition during the showdown against another couple. They won a Playstation 5, a Mercedes vehicle and more.

Fans were recently upset at the show when a contestant won $100,000 on Plinko in one go. It usually takes people a couple of tries to hit big like Michael Strouber who won $202,000 after using four chips. The show made some changes to its normal rules in celebration of the coveted after-dusk slot. The show used to air during the day but now airs at night.

Fans at home were jealous about the win as one wrote: “Do you ever just sit and wish you’ve gotten to play Plinko on the Price is Right because same?”

The Price is Right has been one of the longest running game shows in the country and has had a long run on the CBS network. The show celebrated its 50th season in 2021 and was named the “greatest game show of all time” on TV Guide in 2017.

The Price Is Right: Popular Show Is Back For New Season

Following a brief hiatus, The Price Is Right is back with an all-new season. Season 53 of the popular game show kicked off on September 23, and longtime fans of the show are glad to see new episodes back on the air. This includes Drew Carey back at the helm to resume hosting duties.

With how long The Price Is Right has been on the air, watching it is a tradition for many families. With so many things in the world changing since the program first premiered, viewers appreciate the consistency. However, some fans blasted one of the popular games recently after a shocking result.

Player Has A Chance To Win Big Money

Sometimes, for a lot of people, just getting the call to “come on down” is a big achievement, as it gives people a cool story to tell their friends. However, once you get to that point, the next big step is to win big money to take home with you when you leave.

A recent The Price Is Right contestant had the chance to win some big money while playing Plinko. The game touts players having the chance to win up to $500k. Players drop chips down the huge game board with corresponding money totals at the bottom. Wherever the chip falls is how much money the player banks.

There’s even one slot where a lucky single drop can give players a $100k win. However, even after having several shots at the big money, a recent The Price Is Right contestant only took home a measly $4k.

While it’s always nice to get on a show like The Price Is Right and take home cash at the end of the day, many game show fans took to social media to slam Plinko after this recent player’s poor showing. A recent The Price Is Right contestant went into a panic during the taping of a recent segment, leading Drew Carey to take action. So, what happened with this situation, and what did the host do to resolve it?

The Price Is Right: Game Show Back On The Air

After a brief hiatus over the summer, The Price Is Right is back with Season 53 of the beloved game show. The program is the longest-running game show in America. Come February 2025, the show is set to air episode 10,000, a monumental achievement for sure.

Drew Carey is back as the host of The Price Is Right. A new season brings with it even more opportunities for eager contestants to walk away with the big money, and everyone who attends a taping hopes that they will be the ones to “come on down” and secure some huge prizes.

The Price Is Right: Drew Carey

Contestant Overwhelmed, Drew Carey Steps In

As much as people dream of being on the big stage on The Price Is Right set, the reality can be quite overwhelming. Between the studio audience, the cameras, the bright lights, and the pressure to win, not every contestant can take the heat.

During a recent segment on the show, Carey asked a player if she knew the game called Pocket Change. The contestant replied nervously, saying: “No…I don’t know the game, but I know the show.”

It was clear that even before she got to the big stage, this The Price Is Right player was nervous. With Drew Carey having a long history as a comedian, he tried to lighten the mood with a joke, responding with: “Well, I’m sorry. Back to your seat.”

The player’s spirit dropped, as she believed the host for a split second before he reeled her back in, adding: “Just kidding.”

It looks like this was enough to break the contestant out of her nervousness, as she was able to proceed with the game.

Did Recent The Price Is Right Player Win?

With all the drama and buildup leading up to this recent The Price Is Right segment, this recent nervous player had the chance to win a new car if she guessed the numbers in the price correctly. This is always a nervous time for any players, even for those who don’t start out anxious like this contestant did.

Despite all of the suspense and a few wrong guesses, she ultimately persevered in the end. With the help of Drew Carey, who lightened the mood early on, this player walked away with a brand-new car in the end. So, it was worth the added anxiety, as she left the stage as the owner of a new vehicle.

Dancing With the Stars’ Emma Slater and Alan Bersten Fuel Romance Rumors With Onstage Kiss

Dancing With the Stars‘ Emma Slater and Alan Bersten kissed onstage on the last night of the show’s live tour, fueling dating rumors. Watch the video and find out what their colleague said.

Dancing with the Stars pros Emma Slater and Alan Bersten just took a major quickstep closer toward confirming those romance rumors.

The two kissed on the lips while performing their final dance duet on the final night of the series’ live 2025 tour. The crowd cheered as Emma, 36, and Alan, 30, locked lips onstage as they closed the show at the Rosemont Theatre near Chicago April 19.

The longtime colleagues, who shared humorous videos featuring both of them on their TikToks earlier this month, have not commented on the kiss or the nature of their relationship. However, Alan did include a photo of his and Emma’s final dance in a tour roundup post on his Instagram.

Many fans have speculated for several months that the pair, who have danced together many times on the ABC competition series and on the franchise’s tours in past years, were dating. And one of the performers’ colleagues helped fuel the dating rumors even further.

“FINALLY,” fellow DWTS pro Ezra Sosa, who also performed on the tour, commented on a fan’s video of Emma and Alan’s onstage kiss, which was posted on TikTok with the caption, “pov you have a front row seat to the greatest hard launch of all time.”

One day earlier, Ezra also raised fans’ eyebrows when shared a video of himself and fellow DWTS pro Gleb Savchenko appearing together backstage at one of the venues. He captioned his TikTok, “When we’re the only single guys on tour.”

Emma and Alan’s onstage kiss comes more than two years after she filed for divorce from fellow DWTS pro dancer Sasha Farber—who was not part of the 2025 tour—after four years of marriage.

Amid their separation, the former couple continued to work together on the show, including on the most recent 33rd season, which also included Alan.

“It’s not a nightmare at all,” Emma exclusively told E! News in October 2023 about competing against her ex on season 32. “We support each other so much that I want the very best for Sasha.”

She added that they even continue to collaborate professionally. “I’ll help him with his dance and he’ll help me with my dance,” she noted. “We do that, all us pros together. I don’t feel that competition at all with him.”

Later that month, Sasha also spoke out about his relationship with his ex. “We’re very professional,” he exclusively told E! News alongside his dance partner Alyson Hannigan. “We are great friends. In times like these you say, ‘Thank you for the beautiful memories,’ and you gotta move on.”

Blake Shelton & Adam Levine Hilariously Bickered When They Reunited on The Voice

“How many miles have you put on my chair?”

Some things never change. When former Coach Blake Shelton stopped by The Voice for the Season 27 Live Finale, he picked up right where he left off with Coach Adam Levine, his longtime frenemy. Both musicians began as Season 1 Coaches, and their playful rivalry became a long-running bit on the series.

Levine left the show first and came back after Shelton left NBC’s singing competition, and things had moved around so much by that time that the Maroon 5 singer now sits in the red chair previously occupied by the “God’s Country” singer and Shelton had a few questions. Like what did Levine do to his button? And “how many miles” did he put on his chair?

Those were just a few examples of the many things the pair had to “fight” about when they reconnected. Other topics included Levine’s new best country friend being Coach Kelsea Ballerini, his many tattoos, and the fact that Shelton hasn’t changed his look since…he was born.

In one moment from their reunion, Shelton hilariously teased Levine about covering up his tattoos with long sleeves. “What’s the point of having a sleeve tattoo if you wear a sleeve over it, you know what I’m saying?” Shelton playfully prodded.

Team Adam was represented in the Finals by Lucia Flores-Wiseman, while Shelton was just on hand to stir up trouble…and maybe do a little singing. Ahead of the Live Finale on Tuesday night, Shelton revealed he would be performing his new single, “Texas.”

Adam Levine asked Blake Shelton which jokes would be “over the line” on The Voice

During an April 2025 chat with Seth Meyers on Late Night, Levine reflected on how he and Shelton developed their bond behind the camera so that they could play at being enemies in front of it. “We had a really specific moment where we were in each other’s trailers,” Levine recalled. “I was like, ‘Hey, is there ever too far? Is there a ‘too far’ for you? Is there an ‘over the line’ for you?’… And he’s like, ‘Buddy, you hit me as hard as you want. You will never go too hard.’ And I think he pretty much stayed true to that.”

With that in mind, Levine kept taking swings at Shelton, even after Shelton was no longer on the show. During The Voice Season 27, Levine repeatedly complained about being seated in Shelton’s “mangy, musty” old chair, and fired off nearly a dozen shady texts to his old pal during a single episode.

Shelton kept up the fight, too, waging a proxy war on Levine via Ballerini. “Blake really made me nervous. He said, ‘Adam’s tough. Sometimes he’s mean, he’s competitive. He’s ruthless,’” Ballerini revealed during the season, quickly clarifying, “He was wrong! You’re lovely! You’re really nice!”

John Legend’s Kids & Gorgeous Mom Crowding Around Him at The Voice Finale Is Precious

Team Legend is pulling out all the stops toward a Season 27 win!

John Legend is in the home stretch of Season 27 of The Voice — and his family has arrived to give him some much-needed support.

In a May 19 Instagram post, the Coach of Team Legend shared an adorable carousel featuring his two oldest kids, Luna and Miles, and his beautiful mom, Phyllis, hanging out with him around his Coach’s Chair. This isn’t the first time Legend’s children have been seen piling onto his Coach’s Chair, and including more of his family this time makes it extra special — and extra cute.

Unsurprisingly, Legend’s fam is firmly in the Renzo camp.

“We’re all voting for Renzo! @dennislorenzo! Get your vote in before 7am Eastern Tuesday morning!” Legend wrote in a caption.

Luna, 9, looks more and more like her mom, Chrissy Teigen, every day. (Before long, she’ll be in contention to be the Banker on Deal or No Deal Island and follow in Teigen’s footsteps.) Meanwhile, Miles just turned 7 years old on May 16 and is basically Legend’s little mini-me at this point.

Having his mother stop by The Voice set is a full-circle moment for the Grammy winner because she was instrumental in encouraging him to follow his childhood dreams.

“Whenever we had opportunities to sing in church or in school, my mom would suggest that I do it. She always encouraged me,” Legend revealed to PEOPLE in 2024.

Now, Legend’s mother has a new role: Encouraging fans to vote for Renzo as Season 27 winds down.
