Michael Bublé Shocked and ‘Hurt’ After Blind Auditions Twist

Recap: Michael Bublé ‘Hurt’ and ‘Astonished’ After Night 3 of Blind Auditions — Who Did Him Dirty?

The Voice Results Michael Bublé Blocked Season 28 Blinds Night 3

    NBC screenshot

After Monday’s episode of The Voice, we’re less concerned with who wins Season 28 and more concerned with the fate of Niall Horan and Michael Bublé‘s rocky bromance.

The two were going strong in Week 3 of Blind Auditions, with Bublé offering to show Niall his underwear before putting the One Directioner into a literal penalty box for “looking too good.” No sign of trouble in paradise whatsoever.

Then came spa worker Sadie Dahl, whose cool, laid-back performance of Black Pumas’ “Colors” (TVLine grade: B+) had all of the coaches feeling good. Well, good and mischievous, as Niall decided to risk it all by blocking Bublé from claiming her for his team. In the end, his bold move was for naught, as Dahl opted to pick Snoop Dogg as her coach.

“When Sadie came out and I heard that voice, I knew she was a real frontrunner,” Bublé said. “You can imagine my astonishment and hurt when I realized that Niall Horan … had blocked me.” To his credit, at least Niall acknowledged, “I wasted my block.” (Was it worth it, Niall?!)

Read on for a breakdown of the other singers who landed on one of the coaches’ teams on Monday:

Cori Kennedy (Team Reba), “Why Not Me” — Grade: A- | Something tells us this furniture saleswoman should quit her day job. Her strong, confident country voice shone through immediately in her performance of this Judds song, with just enough rasp to really give it some edge. Even better than her audition, however, was the original song (TVLine grade: A) that she wrote about getting to since for the Voice coaches. In addition to being a solidly written song, it showed so much of Cori’s bubbly personality.

The Voice contestant snaps at Michael Bublé for not picking him as coach fires back 'be careful!' in tense exchange | The US Sun

Revel Day (Team Niall), “Somewhere Only We Know” — Grade: B | After singing background vocals for people like Stevie Wonder and Andy Grammer, Revel stepped into his own spotlight with a stunningly soulful take on this Keane ballad. The performance faltered a bit, but it ended on an impressive falsetto and featured some interesting musical choices throughout.

Natalia Albertini (Team Snoop), “Out Here On My Own” — Grade: A | It took a single note for Snoop Dogg to turn his chair for this New Jersey party balloon business co-owner, and we can’t say we wouldn’t have done the same. A seasoned R&B performer, her emotional performance was punctuated by effortless runs and topped off with a powerful finish.

Marty O’Reilly (Team Bublé), “Trouble” — Grade: B+ | We were worried (and surprised) that it took so long for any of the coaches to turn around for Marty, given how instantly impressed we were with his smoky voice and strong classic rock vibes. The judges seemed a little put off by his goat-like vibrato, but they ultimately saw his potential, with everyone but Reba McEntire hitting their respective buttons.

Kayleigh Clark (Team Niall), “Stay” — Grade: A- | This Mississippi chicken farmer gave Niall goosebumps with her gentle, beautiful country voice, which she used to bring this Sugarland song to new life. And there wasn’t an unimpressed coach in the line once she kicked up the emotion and released a series of incredible runs.

Daron Lameek (Team Reba), “All Night Long” — Grade: A- | There’s a lot to love about this energetic Queens native, who had the judges vibing from the jump with his spot-on performance of this Lionel Richie party anthem. It was when he decided to cut loose with some interesting melodic choices that the coaches really took notice, including Reba, who couldn’t have looked prouder to turn her chair around.

The Voice Fans Show Concern Over Team Bublé Singer's Cryptic Social Media Post Following Exit

Rob Cole (Team Bublé), “Joy of My Life” — Grade: A- | Rob didn’t get any of the judges to turn around when he first auditioned in Season 25, but he was singing — nay, growling — a very different tune this time around. His mastery of this Chris Stapleton jam proved him to be a solid country singer, but then he released the bear within, showing the full extent of his abilities. If Bublé hadn’t blocked her, we just know Reba would have snatched Rob right up.

Aarick Duncan (Team Bublé), “Birds of a Feather” — Grade: A | First of all, kudos to this man’s parents for choosing the wildest spelling of “Eric” we’ve ever seen. Second, kudos to Aarick for truly making this Billie Eilish tune his own, giving us a rendition that was equal parts funky and smooth. The soft sweetness throughout was thoroughly enjoyable, and that unexpected belting at the end left us curious to hear what else this man can offer.

Which of these singers impressed you the most on Monday? Weigh in via our poll below, then drop a comment with your thoughts on Niall’s “wasted” save.

Vanna White Threatens to Quit Wheel of Fortune Over Shocking Reason — What Could Push the Iconic Co-Host Away?

Vanna White Threatens To Quit ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ If She Doesn’t Get Hefty Raise: Report

“Wheel of Fortune” letter-revealer Vanna White has a puzzle for her bosses to solve: How to pay her more money so she doesn’t walk.

The venerable game show co-host has threatened to quit if she does not receive more than double her $3 million salary to get closer to the $15 million annual pay of outgoing host Pat Sajak, TMZ reported Thursday. The entertainment outlet cited “sources with direct knowledge of the negotiations.”

White has pulled down the same annual wage since 2005, Puck reported. Sajak announced earlier this month that he’ll retire after his upcoming 41st season. White has been at his side since 1982. She hosted the show temporarily in 2019 while Sajak recovered from surgery.

Amid the announcement that Ryan Seacrest will succeed Sajak, White reportedly retained Bryan Freedman, the entertainment lawyer said to be helping Don Lemon and Tucker Carlson with their breakups from CNN and Fox News, respectively.

And Freedman is playing hardball for White, demanding half of what Sajak pulls in, roughly $7.5 million, TMZ reported. But Sony Pictures Television Studios, which produces the show, has balked during what one source described as “difficult negotiations.”

White has characterized her salary fight as a “statement” for all women, a source told TMZ.

She’s got a point. The gender pay disparity has barely budged over the last 20 years, with women earning an average of 18% less than men in 2022, according to Pew Research.

Puck reported previously that White was seeking a raise in her contract renewal. White, who was bandied about as a possible successor to Sajak, struck a friendly tone after Sajak’s surprise announcement.

“When we started @WheelofFortune who could have imagined we’d still be at it 41 seasons later?” White wrote, adding: “I couldn’t be happier to have shared the stage with you for all these years with one more to come.”

The Price Is Right' Fans Want Big Change to Game After Contestant's 'Depressing' Disaster

Viewers of the popular game show The Price Is Right have raised questions about a recent episode where a contestant, Isiah, won a new car.

The incident, captured in a video posted on the show’s official Instagram page, involved Isiah rolling the dice to win a black Fiat 500, showcased by model Manuela Arbelaez.

In the game, Isiah was initially given a $2,000 value on his first dice roll. Host Drew Carey, encouraging the contestant’s family to support him, watched as Isiah tried his luck again.

This time, Isiah rolled the car faces, leading to an outburst of excitement from him and cheers from his family.

The video showed Isiah posing jubilantly next to the new car.

The Instagram post captioned this moment with, “Who knew playing with blocks could be this fun? A perfect roll wins him a new car.”

This caption, however, sparked some confusion and debate among fans.

While some viewers expressed their excitement for Isiah, with comments like “The jump off the top of the stairs!!! This guy killed it,” others pointed out what they perceived as an inconsistency in the show’s social media post.

They questioned the use of “perfect roll” in the caption, noting that Isiah had to roll twice to secure his prize.

One fan queried, “Where was the perfect roll? lol,” and another echoed, “How was that a perfect roll?”

This mix of reactions highlights the close attention The Price Is Right fans pay to the show’s details, and their engagement with its social media content.

Wheel of Fortune has been on the air for almost 50 years and 42 seasons and, in that time, has featured about 24,000 contestants. However, according to Maggie Sajak, there are really only seven types of players.

The game show’s social media correspondent shared a video on the Wheel‘s official Instagram page on Thursday, October 17, where she revealed the seven different types of players, complete with an example of their performance style.

Sajak started off with “The Polite One,” where she kindly asked, “Vanna [White], may I please have an S?”

This was followed by “The One Who Projects,” with Maggie shouting, “Is there a T?!”

Up next was “The Excited One,” where Maggie asked for an R and then started clapping and jumping up and down.

Then there was “The Confident One,” where she leaned against the wheel and calmly said, “I’ll take the X.”

This was followed by “The Indecisive One,” where Maggie ummed and ahhed over her choice before asking, “Can I buy an E?”

She then introduced “The One Who Always Knows The Answer When It’s Not Their Turn,” performing as a frustrated, eye-rolling contestant.

Finally, there was “The Supportive One,” where Maggie clapped along and told her opponent, “Nice spin… good letter.”

In the caption of the post, Maggie admitted, “I’m the indecisive one.”

Fans jumped into the comments to share their reactions, with one commenter joking, “I think I’m all of these to the max rolled up into one if that’s even possible???”

“My wife told me I’m one who projects. I’m embarrassed to see my episode now,” said one future contestant.

“I’m between polite and excited!” added another.

Another added, “Who doesn’t love a supportive bestie?!”

One former contestant replied, “I was definitely Excited, polite, (behind the scenes supportive) & a touch indecisive.”

    “Great combo!” Maggie responded.

Another fan added an eighth type of player, writing, “I’m a multiples hunter; if I know there’s multiple instances of a letter, I spin until a big one hits, call the multiple and solve when there’s no multiples left (if I know it, of course).”

‘The Price Is Right’: Hip-Shaking Mom & Daughter Make Drew Carey Blush – Fans React

The Price Is Right has been sharing classic moments on its social media channels while viewers wait for the new season, and a clip posted on Monday (August 5) had fans in hysterics. It featured a mom and daughter duo who made host Drew Carey blush by grinding close to him!

The clip in question was shared on the official The Price Is Right Instagram page and featured mother-and-daughter duo Sharol and Tionna. The excitable pair boogied their way to the stage, where they greeted Drew Carey by dancing and bumping their hips into his. Carey blushed and laughed before explaining the rules of the game.

Sharol and Tionna were faced with the Grand Game, in which contestants can win up to $10,000 by picking products under a target price. For those unfamiliar, the contestants begin with $1 displayed on the board and are then given a target price. They are then shown six grocery items, four of which are priced below the target and two of which are priced above.

The mom and daughter were given a target price of $6.50, with Carey telling them, “All you have to do is tell me which four [are under that price], and every time you get one right, we’ll add one zero to that board.”

Sharol and Tionna were then shown the six items, which included a 16-ounce container of Mom’s Best Cereals Quick Oats, one Scrub Daddy’s Scrub Mommy Scrubbing Sponge, six-count box of Nestlē’s Abuelita Hot Chocolate Tablets, a 25-ounce jar of Yo Mama’s Spicy Marinara Tomato Sauce, one 0.34-ounce box of Mommy’s Bliss Baby Probiotic Drops, and one 11-ounce package of Grandma’s Frozen Noodles Wide Egg Noodles.

“Give me one that you know for sure is less than $6.50,” Carey asked.

The contestants talked it through and looked to the studio audience for guidance, ultimately settling on the noodles as their first guess. Their pick was right, as the noodles were priced at $4.29. They continued their success by picking the oats and the sponge next.

With $1,000 on the board, Sharol and Tionna could have walked away at that point. “You guys have $1,000; you can stop right now if you want because if you get the next one wrong, you lose everything,” Carey reminded them. “[But] you do get an extra nine grand if you get this next one right.”

After discussing their options, Sharol and Tionna decided to continue and selected the hot chocolate. Carey revealed the price of the hot chocolate as $5.49, meaning the lovable mother and daughter bagged themselves $10,000. The pair started screaming and running around the stage as the audience cheered them on.

“They bumped up a BIG win… nice one,” wrote one Instagram commenter.

    “Great show,” said another.

One fan argued that the pair “cheated” because they were “dollar up bidders,” meaning a tactic where players on Contestant’s Row outbid the previous guesser by $1.

However, another user argued, “They didn’t Cheat! It has always been part of the rules. Recently, someone bid $1 over another bidder. Much to everyones surprise, the original bidder was the actual price and won the extra $500.”

Snoop Dogg Took Off His Sunglasses on The Voice for a Rare, “Insane” Reason — Fans Are Shocked and Intrigued

Snoop Dogg Took Off His Sunglasses on The Voice for a Rare, “Insane” Reason

    He had to see this.

Like Anna Wintour, Johnny Bravo or Morpheus, Snoop Dogg is rarely caught without his signature sunglasses. But on the September 29th episode of The Voice, Coach Snoop had to lift his shades to check out the Artist who wowed him during the Blind Auditions.

    How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Marty O’Reilly, a 36-year-old independent musician from Sonoma, California, blew the Coaches away with his rendition of “Trouble” by Ray LaMontagne. Accompanying himself on a resonator guitar, O’Reilly showed off his raspy vibrato that sounds like no one else in recent memory, and got chair turns from all three of the male Coaches.

“I gotta take my glasses off for that one right there,” said Snoop afterward, telling O’Reilly, “In my mind I was like that sounds like something classic I’ve never heard before, I can’t let this get away. And then I seen [Coach] Niall [Horan] and I was like, ‘No you don’t,’ and then I see [Coach] Michael [Bublé] with his following-the-leader butt.”

“The rasp in your voice is insane,” added Horan, before Bublé, sensing competition, put him in the penalty box. Literally. Bublé had a plastic penalty box hauled out to keep Horan in check while he made his case to O’Reilly. And incredibly enough, it worked. O’Reilly chose Team Bublé! With Steals just around the corner, though, no one should be getting too comfortable…

Speaking of Snoop Dogg’s accessories this season: He’s rocking a necklace with an “S” on it (for “Snoop”) this season on The Voice and gifting every member of his team a matching “T” version of the chain. The “T” stands for team, of course.

In a promo for the season, Snoop revealed what he was most looking forward to on the show—in addition to those moments that make you wanna lift your sunglasses. “I knew I was gonna have fun when they said Michael and [Coach] Reba [McEntire] were back because we already had the chemistry, but Niall? Me and him connected like peanut butter and jelly,” he said

“I love the family side of The Voice. That’s what I love about being here. The family between the Coaches and the family that you make when you build your team. The family with the crew and the people that’s just here every day. I make it fun wherever I work,” he added before spelling out his goal as a returning Coach: “I was the Rookie of the Year in Season 26 but I didn’t get the hardware. This time I plan on leaving with the hardware. My dream for Season 28 is just to have a bunch of singer that really know how to get down, mix and match, really great at what they do and down to be taught.”

“The thing I love most about being a Coach is learning. Learning who I’m Coaching. Because the more you learn about who you’re Coaching the better you can be as a Coach,” he continued. “If you know anything about me you know I love music. Music don’t have no box. Music is music. And that’s what this show is about. My career is a perfect example of showing you how many different styles of genres of music that I’ve been able to engage in…because I have the ear, the heart and the spirit to know great music, that’s why I feel like I’m a perfect fit for this show.” Couldn’t agree more.

Blake Shelton Made a Surprise “Appearance” on The Voice to Help Niall Shade Bublé

    As he should!

Blake Shelton may be gone from The Voice, but he’s not forgotten!

    How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

The longtime Coach may have retired from the show, but his legacy lives on in Coach Niall Horan, his “son.” During a recent round of Season 28 Blind Auditions, for instance, Coach Michael Bublé got a little too brag-y for Horan’s liking, so the Irish singer pulled out a Shelton-ism to shut him down.

Blake Shelton Made a Surprise "Appearance" on The Voice

The hilarious interaction went down after Artist Kenny Iko showed off his beautiful falsetto, and for some reason, Bublé didn’t even press his button. Attempting to cover his tracks, the Grammy winner told the Artist, “I feel like you mighta been a real good chance for me to have a three-peat,” referring to the fact that he’s coached the winning Artists of the past two seasons (Season 26 winner Sofronio Vasquez and Season 27 winner Adam David).

Horan, who coached the winning Artists for Season 23 (Gina Miles) and Season 24 (Huntley), smashed his red button, and suddenly the theater heard Shelton’s iconic Southern drawl: “I don’t give a crap about a three-peat.” As everyone cracked up, Horan looked at the sky. “My father! Is that you?” he asked, then hit the button again to replay the soundbite.

“I miss you dad. I know you’re back there in Oklahoma, harvesting some fields or something…” he told “Shelton.”

Horan’s not the only one with soundbites, either. Coach Reba McEntire’s red chair is outfitted with at least two gag sounds: a sad trombone and a “boo” audience effect that she can play to keep the boys in line. And by the boys, we mean Michael Bublé.

    Photo: Trae Patton/NBC

Though they only overlapped for a single season, it was enough to form a real bond between Horan and Shelton. “Blake, he’s like a dad to me,” Horan told NBC Insider at the start of Season 23. “He’s really helped me during the show. I’ve really enjoyed his company, and watching him has been a real honor…It’s been amazing to work with him and Kelly Clarkson…It’s been so funny to dive into that Southern sense of humor with them and see the stuff that goes on behind-the-scenes.”

The next season, he reiterated how much Shelton had guided him through the process, telling NBC Insider, “I learned a lot from Blake last year sitting next to him…Nothing that he said. Just watching how he does it. I think that made a lot of difference to how I’ve been in the show this year.”

Now that Horan is back, Bublé has occasionally tried to (jokingly) claim him as a “son,” which Horan has said Shelton won’t be happy to hear. “I’m Blake’s son. I always will be,” he said during an early Season 28 episode. But if Bublé gets that three-peat, will it change Horan’s mind? Who wouldn’t want to be the son of a champion?

A singer from Queens, N.Y., likely earned some new fans in Alabama after his performance this week on “The Voice.”

Daron Lameek covered Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long (All Night)” for his Blind Audition on the NBC reality series, and had all four celebrity coaches dancing in their chairs. Not only that: Lameek, 35, has been a singer for the Commodores, performing on tour with the legendary funk/soul group from Tuskegee.

“The most recent thing that I was doing was, I was one of the Commodores before I came out here (to audition),” Lameek told Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan and Michael Buble on Monday’s episode. “The last six months, I’ve been performing with the Commodores. It’s been such a privilege to be a part of such a legendary group.”

Leaving a steady gig to try his luck on “The Voice” might be considered a risky move, but Lameek said the Commodores were supportive and encouraging.

“With their blessing, I’ve been able to come and do this show,” Lameek said. “The founding member (William “WAK” King) said, ‘Go out there and show them why we had you in here.’ It’s crazy to actually get to this moment.”

(Watch Lameek cover “All Night Long” on “The Voice” in the video below.)

With so many Alabama references popping up, it was easy to forget that Richie — a Tuskegee native and founding member of the Commodores — appears on a competing reality show on another network. He’s a judge on ABC’s “American Idol,” and has held that role since 2018.

But no matter. Famous songs like Richie’s “All Night Long” are fair game for contestants on reality TV, and being able to name-drop the Commodores is a bonus on any network.

As it turned out, Lameek’s rendition of “All Night Long” prompted McEntire and Buble to turn their chairs during his “Voice” audition, indicating they wanted him on their teams. He chose Team Reba, causing the country star to beam with delight.

“I can’t wait to see what else you hold in store with your vocals,” McEntire said. “Huge Lionel Richie fan. You did the song great justice. Welcome to ‘The Voice.’”

McEntire has experience in the winner’s circle on “The Voice,” coaching Alabama’s Asher HaVon to a victory on the show in 2024. HaVon, from Selma, forged a strong and successful relationship with McEntire during Season 25, defying naysayers who thought the country queen wouldn’t be compatible with a soul singer.

“I listen and I turn for different genres because that’s what I grew up on,” McEntire said on Monday’s episode. “With Daron, moving forward, I think we can do wonderful things. I’m so glad he chose me. He’s a great singer, had a great look. He was the perfect package.”

Blind Auditions will continue on “The Voice” over the next few episodes, followed by a round known as the Battles.

Alabama already has one contender during Season 28: Jazz McKenzie, a Birmingham native who now lives in Huntsville, selected Team Buble on the season debut episode. She’s a soul singer and graduate of Alabama A&M University. Her powerful rendition of “What’s Love Got to Do with It” inspired a four-chair turn from the coaches.

If you watch:“The Voice” airs at 7 p.m. CT on Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC. The series also streams on Peacock. Early episodes of each season are filmed in advance.

    But it’s cracking us up.

Don’t mess with the queen. Reba McEntire is back on The Voice as a Coach for Season 28, and she’s brought some props with her. Not only did she give the audience fans with her face on them, her spinning red chair has also been outfitted with buttons she can press to trigger some delightfully sarcastic sound effects. So far, we’ve heard her play “wah-wah-wahhh” and “booooo.” So funny.

    How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

This isn’t the first time a Coach has gotten sound effect buttons. Last season, McEntire’s fellow  country singer Kelsea Ballerini had pre-recorded quotes from former Coach Blake Shelton at her disposal, which she used to tease Coach Adam Levine: “Adam’s a big baby,” “Adam…won’t shut up,” “Adam, you say a lot of stupid stuff,” and “Adam’s a crappy Coach.”

But while she’s happy to mock her fellow Coaches, one thing you’ll never see McEntire doing is making fun of an Artist. “I can’t be a mean Judge,” she told Newsweek in 2023. “I mean, when I turned [coaching] down 15 years ago, when they wanted me to do The Voice, I said, ‘I can’t tell anybody that they’re horrible.’ I can’t say to somebody, ‘Well is your mama gonna meet you at the bus station? Because you’re going home.’ I can’t do that.”

Fortunately, that’s not how the show works. “I’m learning…how to let ’em down easy if they don’t get picked up, coach ’em, and if you can give them any advice whatsoever. Like if none of the Coaches turn around, they’re going home immediately. And so it’s good just to say, ‘If you want to come back again, try it again next season, maybe a song that suits you, one that you’re really comfortable with and that really shows your talent,’ give them advice and encourage them to come back,” McEntire explained.

The Voice chairs have more features than you may realize

In addition to the big red buttons, the “Block” button, and whatever extra features the Coaches have installed, the spinning red chairs have all kinds of amenities you may not notice as a viewer.

In 2023, then-Coach Chance the Rapper revealed one of these features to TODAY. “I’m the leak. I’m the one who dropped the info. Yeah, basically our chairs, the famous red spinning chairs on the show — a lot of people don’t know this — there is a heating setting underneath it to get yourself warm, and a cool setting too,” he said.

The 755-pound chairs also feature three cupholders apiece and 1,400 individual color changing LED modules. Per The Voice‘s production team the chairs are “fabricated and assembled by a team that builds training simulators for the Special Forces Division of the U.S. military, using some of the same mechanical components.”

With all that, you’d think they’d be indestructible, but no. Season 27 saw a glitch that freaked out Levine, and some time during the Season 28 Blind Auditions, an Artist came along so mega-talented that Michael Bublé smashed his red button hard enough to literally break it.

“I’m back in the big red chair! And no joke, I smashed my button so hard yesterday that it broke. 😎 The talent on Season 28 is 🔥 #TeamBublé,” he wrote on Instagram on July 9. That episode hasn’t aired yet, but we can’t wait to see how on Earth it could happen! And would a Coach breaking their own chair be enough to get someone to join their team? It’s gotta be, right?
