The Young Sheldon cast have spoken out about which characters will appear in the spinoff

    I’m already so excited!

Whilst the final episode of Young Sheldon is nearly upon us we already have the spinoff series to look forward to, titled Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage, and the current cast have spoken out about which characters from Young Sheldon we can expect to see again.

Whilst there is no set release date for the Young Sheldon spinoff series yet, we know it’s coming sometime late this year or early next year. The show will feature Sheldon’s brother Georgia and his wife Mandy and focus on the two starting their married life in Texas together, along with their baby.

    Via CBS

Young Sheldon’s executive producer Steve Holland explained in relationship to the spinoff: “I think, certainly, the characters in the world of Young Sheldon still exist in this world. They’re still around and can make appearances and drop by.”

Ian Armitage who plays Sheldon himself told TVLine that he’d be “honoured” to appear in the spinoff. He explained: “If I got a call to go back, that’d be so much fun. I’d be honoured to. I’m also just excited to get to sit back on my couch with some popcorn and watch their show because they’re so good. But I could totally see myself getting in the khakis again, putting on the old penny loafers and bow tie, and going back out on the job.

“It’s going to be so fun to see Montana and Miss Emily are both so funny and so talented, and they play off each other so well. They’re very contrasting characters… and I love them together so much.”

But Raegan, who plays Sheldon’s sister Missy isn’t so sure she’ll make a reappearance anytime in the future. She admitted: “I’m not sure. I mean, if Young Sheldon had gotten more seasons, I would have 10,000 per cent signed on to do more. But now that it’s over, I’m also kind of excited to see what else is out there and try different things. Something dramatic would be a lot of fun.”

However, two cast members from Young Sheldon have been confirmed to appear in the new spinoff series, with Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones reprising their roles as Mandy’s parents. I can’t wait to see what new and returning characters pop up!

Tim Allen is reflecting on his Home Improvement costar Zachery Ty Bryan’s recent struggles.

The 70-year-old actor — who played Bryan’s TV father Tim Taylor on the ABC sitcom — admitted that he doesn’t “know what’s going on with” the former child star after his tumultuous few years, which included multiple arrests and an alleged financial scheme.

“Zach is a great kid who has grown into a complex man,” Allen told The Hollywood Reporter. “All you can do is step aside and let somebody go through their process.”

“At a certain point, he deviated from the guy I know to somebody who is reacting to situations that I had nothing to do with and can’t control,” he added. “I don’t know what happens when people get corrupted. You just don’t know.”

PEOPLE confirmed in October 2020 that Bryan, 41, was arrested for allegedly strangling a woman, which he later pleaded guilty to. He also entered a multiple-offender alcohol program after enduring numerous DUI arrests.

Bryan fell into Bitcoin and massive debt as well. He was even accused of running a fraudulent agriculture-technology startup scheme.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Bryan “duped” them into a shady cryptocurrency scheme, with one saying the financial losses have been “a gut punch.” However, Bryan told the news outlet that he was not “running some shady scam deal or something,” insisting that he was “in the same boat” as his investors.

Looking back on his many struggles, Bryan said: “I do know when things get in the way of who you’re meant to be, where you’re supposed to go and what God has planned for you. He sometimes challenges you to do some reflecting by looking in the mirror and taking responsibility.”

Despite his former TV son’s recent troubles, Allen hopes Bryan will find a better path, sharing, “I know Zach’s heart. He’s got to figure out his own way.”

If Tim Allen and Richard Karn reuniting for a reality building competition reminds you of their classic sitcom “Home Improvement,” that’s the point.

See Tim Allen & Richard Karn Reunite For Assembly Required

History Channel’s “Assembly Required” (premiering Tuesday, 10 EST/PST) lets the pair “be exactly like we were in ‘Tool Time,’ ” the DIY show-within-a-show in ABC’s former hit sitcom “Home Improvement,” Allen told a Television Critics Association panel last week.

Joined by DIY woodworking expert and YouTube star April Wilkerson, Allen and Karn will oversee a competition between makers across the country as they build a variety of contraptions “from a dual, all-season ice-melter/leaf blower and all-in-one riding comfort mower to a do-it-yourself jacuzzi and BBQ bicycle,”  the network says.

Each of the 10 episodes features three contestants building from their home shops, with Allen and Karn, both executive producers, popping in virtually to comment on the competition across two challenge rounds as Wilkerson explains the intricacies of the inventions. Eventually, two finalists’ creations will be tested by Allen and Karn at Allen’s workshop, and the winner will receive $5,000.

The reunion arrives on the 30th anniversary of “Home Improvement,” a ratings colossus that ran for eight seasons, from 1991 to 1999.  Allen played Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor, a married father of three who hosted a home improvement TV show with Karns’ Al Borland as his sidekick.

Allen, now finishing the final season of Fox’s “Last Man Standing,” said he initially didn’t think Karn, a friend, would want to be part of the show, but “he jumped at the chance. And then, all of a sudden it became the two of us, kind of a live version of ‘Tool Time,’ if you will. We were very similar to the characters we play in that show.”

The chemistry between the two actors was immediate when “Home Improvement” began filming, Karn said.

“Our relationship kind of happened before we knew what it was. We took our cues from audience reaction to us, but we didn’t know there was anything really outstanding about how we were playing off each other,” he said. “We were just doing our job, and the writers were able to watch that and lean into it and write for it.”

In shooting “Assembly Required,” Karn provided a calming influence for Allen, who had no experience with unscripted formats and said he felt as if he was “coming unglued” at times.

“Rich was able to go, ‘OK, OK, OK.’ He’s a consummate professional and genuinely calm-hearted person. And it was a perfect match to pull me out of having to go insane,” Allen said. He “was able to bring it back down and be exactly like we were in ‘Tool Time.’ It’s amazing how this is an expansion of that relationship.”

Price is Right contestant rolls her eyes at host Drew Carey for his on-air mistake as he admits ‘I blanked!’

DREW Carey made such a noticeable mistake on Wednesday’s Price Is Right that it caused a contestant to roll her eyes at him on-air.

Barbara, who went by Barbie, came out victorious while playing The Price is Right’s Pocket Change segment.

After correctly guessing her first number, Drew, 66, forgot to tell her to grab a card from the wall to collect her winning change.

The game show host admitted that he “almost forgot,” joking that the player was “doing so well” that he “blanked.”

Before heading to grab her card, Barbie turned toward the crowd and rolled her eyes at the host’s mistake.

The contestant ended up winning a new Chevy with all her racked-up change, which totaled well over the 75 cents she needed.

Barbie immediately walked over to see her prize, shouting, “Oh my god I got a car!” as she opened the front door and grabbed onto the wheel.

    MEMORABLE MOMENTS

Wednesday’s episode had no shortage of wins, as another contestant, Shanetha secured a $10,000 vacation to Australia after playing Pick a Pair.

The player ran on stage with a black knee brace on one of her legs, which she said was from an ACL injury she got from “night clubbing.”

After Drew told her she had a “leg up” since she did the grocery shopping in her household, the contestant responded, “One leg up, just the good leg.”

The comedian then joked to George Gray, the show’s announcer, that she was “SOL with the ACL.”

The comment warranted laughs from both Shanetha and the audience.

    NON-HELPING HAND?

While Drew sometimes pokes fun at players during the popular game show, he also offers help when appropriate.

Drew Carey helps Price is Right contestant spin wheel in sweet moment – but the host’s help cost her big money
However, one helping hand during Tuesday’s episode may have potentially cost the contestant some money.

During the airing, contestant Ronnie was the first one to spin the wheel and was unable to give it a full rotation.

After yet another push, the wheel barely made it halfway, so Drew asked, “Can I help you out?”

    The Price is Right Hosts

The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special

Ronnie agreed, and Drew helped her give the wheel a full rotation and land on the number 15.

Warranting another spin, Drew helped her once more in hopes that she would land an 85 to total 100.

She landed on 95, however, which put her out of the game.

“I’ll take the blame for that. Ronnie, I’m so sorry,” the host told her while shaking her hand.

Drew Carey Opens Up About His Struggles as a Teen, Says His 2 ‘Suicide Attempts Were Calls for Help’

The ‘Price Is Right’ host reflected on his mental health hardships from his teenage years and early 20s, saying, “I was so mad that everybody was having a good time”

Drew Carey is looking back on the lowest points in his mental health journey.

The Price is Right host opened up about his childhood during an appearance on this week’s Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?. During his conversation with host Chris Wallace, Carey, 65, addressed his mental health struggles as a teenager, including just how dire things became for him.

“Two suicide attempts,” he said of the incidents, which occurred when he was 18 and in his early 20s. “I think that suicide attempts were calls for help. I was so mad that everybody was having a good time, and I was just tired of my life and who’s gonna miss me? I have a lot of that still. Like who’s gonna miss me type of thing.”

The comedian continued, “I think when, yeah, like, a lot of times I think to myself. Like, if I die, I’m just gonna have my body cremated. No funeral and anything associated with, like, all my mementos and stuff. You can just burn them and give them away. Like, who cares?”

Carey has spoken about his mental health struggles before, even once telling Access Hollywood he “was depressed for a long time.” But things eventually took a positive turn for the comedian.

“I learned how to believe in myself. Learned how to set goals, you know, self help books man. I just read every single one I can get a hold of and I still do. I read that stuff all the time still,” he continued to tell the outlet in 2007, per Today. “I am always coming out bigger, better, stronger and happier.”

Giving an update on how things are going today, Carey told Wallace, 76, that he doesn’t believe success has “spoiled” him.

“I’d like to say no. But it’s changed a lot of things for me,” he said. “Like, don’t take things personally. I took everything personally, if somebody wrote a bad review, I’d be like, what the hell? Coming after my money? You know, so yeah, that’s — all that’s gone.”

Anonymous Source Hints That Drew Carey Is Done With Hosting ‘The Price Is Right’

    Drew Carey

    Source: CBS

It’s a tough gig to replace a beloved host on a long-running game show. Just ask Ken Jennings, who stepped in for Alex Trebek on Jeopardy!. The same goes for Bob Barker on The Price Is Right.

The daytime game show dates back as far as 1956, and it was re-done in 1972 with Bob Barker as the host. For many, Bob is still considered the OG GOAT of TPIR. However, Drew Carey quickly cemented himself as a beloved personality from the get-go. But is it true he’s leaving the show?

Is Drew Carey really leaving ‘The Price Is Right’? It might just be a tabloid rumor.

It’s important to note that one of the first outlets to report on Drew’s potential departure from the show is The National Enquirer, which is affectionately referred to as “the most reputable of the supermarket tabloids.” The outlet has been known to publish salacious stories that so few people believe that it’s actually news when their stories end up being steeped in fact.

While there hasn’t been any word from Drew as to whether or not he’s leaving the show, The National Enquirer reported that he’s planning on departing from the program. The news comes following the tragic murder of Drew’s ex-fiance Amie Harwick. He stated after she died, “Amie and I had a love that people are lucky to have once in a lifetime. She was a positive force in the world, a tireless and unapologetic champion for women, and passionate about her work as a therapist.”

is drew carey leaving the price is right

    Source: CBS

Drew continued, “I am overcome with grief. I would like to thank you in advance for giving myself and everyone who loved Amie privacy while we try to work through this tragic situation.”

Amie was murdered by an ex-boyfriend, who broke into her apartment and allegedly pushed her off of her balcony, sending the woman to her death.

The anonymous source has stated that Drew is still overcome over the loss of Amie and that “Drew is going through hell, and this has changed his life in every way imaginable. It’s hard to be the jovial host of a TV show when your heart has been torn out by such a horrific tragedy.”

The source went on to say that Amie’s death has gotten Drew thinking that he will ultimately leave Hollywood and The Price Is Right. What does he plan on doing afterwards? Apparently, his work is going to be “in tribute” to Amie’s life, and he’s planning on launching initiatives that will focus on taking harsher stances on acts of domestic violence.

Gossip Cop has castigated The National Enquirer for making a “mockery of tragedies” like Drew Carey’s, pointing out that the publication also reported Matthew McConaughey would replace Alex Trebek as Jeopardy!‘s host and Tom Selleck was leaving Blue Bloods over health issues.

So no, Drew Carey did not leave ‘The Price Is Right’ nor did he announce he’d be leaving the program.

As of now, the rumors are just that, rumors. Drew does still, however, have a contract to fulfill with the show, so only he knows if he’s going to continue as game show host for the program once it expires. But it’s admittedly going to be difficult to find a host who handles a situation like the one below as well as Drew does.

The Price Is Right Drew Carey - YouTube/After Midnight

Drew Carey is under fire by The Price Is Right fans after he made fun of a contestant’s job on live television. Now the beloved host is facing backlash online and being asked to apologize. What could Drew Carey have said that has fans up in arms? Keep reading to find out.

Drew Carey Makes Jokes About Contestant’s Job

Contestant Jack Shannon was picked on The Price Is Right during the April 29 episode. Jack put in a bid on a DSLR camera and, after guessing the closest amount, he was picked for the next showcase.

Before they started the next round, Drew Carey stopped to talk to Jack, as he does with most contestants. He shared with viewers and the live audience that Jack came to the show with his dad.

“Jack and his father making a living, it’s a family business where they make labels for like wine bottles, beer, paint cans, anything you want,” Drew shared with viewers.

Continuing the conversation, Drew Carey asked Jack what the weirdest thing he’s ever made a label for was. After thinking for a moment, Jack said that it was octagon bottles.

“Oh wow. What an exciting life Jack leads,” Drew laughed. Looking rather nervous, Jack joined in on the joke, laughing with Drew.

“Still talking about those octagon bottles,” the host hammered down before moving on to list the prizes Jack had a chance of winning.

The Price Is Right Fans Aren’t Impressed With Drew’s Jokes

Before appearing on the show, Jack’s dad (Richard) shared a photo of them both on Reddit waiting to see if they’d be chosen for The Price Is Right. He shared that Drew Carey greeted them and shook their hands.

Richard noted that the host remembered the family business because he and his wife won the game show the day before. During their conversation, he asked Jack if he worked for the family business and inquired about whether or not he was going to college. Richard didn’t think they’d get chosen again, but he was wrong.

A number of fans were excited for Jack. However, many people were not thrilled about Drew Carey’s comments about his occupation.

“Didn’t like Drew asking what the strangest thing labeled and then laughing at him saying ‘still talking about those octagon bottles,’” one fan commented. “He asked & then laughs & pokes fun about an exciting life. Not nice and not funny!” another wrote. “He’s a young guy following his father’s business. Still rude & not funny,” a third person agreed.

“I didn’t like that either. I happened to be just tuning into the show right at that moment, so I did not hear the context. But it was not nice for Drew to poke fun at the young man like that. A joke at a contestant’s expense is never okay,” another viewer chimed in.

Several people stood up for The Price Is Right host though, stating that he was making fun of Jack’s job and not Jack himself.

Craig played Spelling Bee, where he had to pick a number from the bee hive and it would reveal a dollar amount.

On the back of the cards were letters.

If he picked the right ones and they spelled out “CAR,” he would win the car.

Craig picked, 11, 7, and then 30 and 1, after guessing the correct prices of two items.

His total was $4,000, after each of the numbers were valued at $1,000 each.

Drew, 65, offered Craig to keep the $4,000 instead of the car because if he didn’t have the right letters, he would walk away with nothing.

Craig consulted with his wife and then told The Price is Right host that he was going to “take the money and run?”

Drew asked him did he take the money because he didn’t get the fifth card.

Craig said that his gut told him that he didn’t have it.

Drew then walked over and turned the card around one by one.

The first card has a “C” on it, the second an “A”, and the third a “R.”

The crowd then went into an uproar and Craig put his hands on his head.

However, the model working the game told him that he shouldn’t be upset.

“Right. I have $4,000 more than I did when I came here,” Craig said.

    ‘SHOULD’VE GONE FOR IT!’

The clip was posted to the game show’s Instagram page and fans scolded Craig for his “dumb” move.

“Should’ve went for the car!” said one fan.

“That was crazy! sorry should’ve went for the car,” said another.

“The most depressing thing I’ve witnessed all week,” a third added.

    “Crazy move,” said another.

“That was dumb. Always try for the car,” a social media user said.

    EPIC FAIL

This isn’t the first time fans have mocked a PIR contestant.

Earlier this month, a contestant was asked to leave after five failed attempts.

Contestant Elvira spun the wheel very lightly and landed on the number 65 for her first spin.

Normally that would be a great first spin, but Drew told Elvira that it didn’t count.

“The wheel has to go around at least once,” the host said.

The contestant spun again, not even going past the 65, and landed on 45.

Drew offered to help Elvira out and she landed on 75 with his help.

He told her she had one more spin and she rejected his help when he offered one more time.

Her fourth spin landed in between numbers, so it didn’t count.

Elvira’s fifth and final spin landed on 40, which put her over 100, and eliminated her.

Drew thanked her for coming before escorting her off the stage.

One X, formerly Twitter, said that it was “painful” to watch while another said it was “embarrassing.”

The four competitors bid on a reclining chair.

Amylah bid $1200, and won the showcase because the chair was valued at $1,400.

When she got to the stage, Drew, 65, told Amylah that it was nice to see her.

“It’s nice to see you too, Uncle Drew,” she said back.

“Uncle Drew,” the host smiled. “It’s a long story. We don’t have time to get into it.”

After they laughed it off, Drew joked, “What do we got for my niece?”

“Cousin George wants you to have a brand new car!” the announcer said.

When the camera panned back to Amylah, she was on the floor, rolling around.

She then got up and buckled her knees as she said, “Ohh!” over and over.

After they described the car, Drew took Amylah over to the game where she had to guess the price of the car by stepping on the correct number.

Amylah wound up guessing the wrong number, but had a chance to go again by guessing prices of certain items.

She got one right, but guessed the wrong number again.

In the end, Amylah did not win the car because she didn’t guess the prices correctly.

The Price is Right contestant, however, did win the massage chair and got to spin the wheel.

    CAR-NT TAKE IT

This isn’t the first time on the game show that somebody lost out on a car recently.

Contestant Craig played Spelling Bee, in which he had to pick a number from the hive that would reveal a dollar amount.

The cards had letters on the back and if the contestant picked the right ones and they spelled out “CAR,” Craig would win the car.

He picked, 11, 7, and then 30 and 1, after guessing the correct prices of two items.

Craig’s total was $4,000, with each letter valued at $1,000.

Drew offered the contestant to keep his $4,000 instead of taking the car because if he didn’t have the right letters, Craig would walk away with nothing.

The Price is Right player consulted with his wife and then told Drew that he was going to “take the money and run!”

The host asked Craig if he took the money because he didn’t get the fifth card.

Craig said that his gut told him that he didn’t have the correct letters.

Drew then walked over and turned the cards Craig picked one by one.

And as the host turned them over, they were revealed to be a “C,” “A,” and “R.”

Craig put his hands on his head and the crowd went crazy, after it was revealed that he would have won the coveted prize.

But, he took it in stride and said that he has $4,000 more than when he came.

    SEEMS DICEY

In January, fans called out an error on the show after a contestant won a car.

The contestant, Isiah, was given the opportunity to roll two dice again after they appeared as $2,000.

Drew encouraged the family to support Isiah.

After rolling the car faces, the contestant jumped from his stand in excitement, and his family erupted into cheers.

Drew chanted for a car as Isiah rolled the dice again.

Isiah then posed next to the car and smiled when he won it.

The caption on the Instagram video said that he had a “perfect roll” to win the car.

However, some fan pointed out that he had to roll twice to win it, but he only rolled once.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ Blasted After Contestant Loses $100,000 on ‘Ridiculous’ Puzzle

Wheel of Fortune contestant Kristyn Hobbs on 5/2/2025

Wheel of Fortune has been slammed by fans after a contestant lost out on $100,000 after being given a “ridiculous puzzle.” Viewers said it was the “toughest puzzle ever” with some saying that it was “impossible” to solve.

The controversy came as the episode on Friday May 2 capped off a week when none of the Bonus Round contestants won their puzzles.

The player who missed out was Kristyn Hobbs, from Fort Cobb Lake, Oklahoma, who competed against Annelorrie Brown, from Wellington, Illinois, and David Fisch, from Brooklyn, New York, on Friday, May 2. Hobbs shared that her husband recently built her a greenhouse and she planted over 1,500 seedlings.

She solved the first two toss-ups, putting $2,000 in her bank. The game didn’t start off well as all three game show contestants landed on Bankrupt during the first puzzle. Brown, a self-proclaimed fashionista, solved most of the puzzle, but couldn’t figure out the last letter. Fisch, who loves layovers in airports, wound up solving the puzzle, giving him $1,000.

The same thing happened on the next puzzle. Fisch solved most of the letters. When he called a wrong one, Hobbs solved “I want to hold your hand-me-downs,” winning the money. Fisch explained that he wasn’t thinking of the word “hold.”

During the third puzzle, Hobbs landed on the Wild Card to use in the Bonus Round. She also rode the express train but guessed the wrong letter and went Bankrupt. She solved “Exploring the Jungle” and won a trip to Peru. This gave her a total of $14,000, putting her in the lead.

Hobbs solved two out of the three Triple Toss-Ups. Fisch solved the other one. He also solved the final puzzle — “Clever Endeavor.” Fisch ended with $14,400. Brown had no money so Wheel of Fortune gave her $1,000. Hobbs had $18,000 and a trip to Peru. She advanced to the Bonus Round.

During the Bonus Round, Hobbs brought her sister, Shannon, and her friend, Amy, with her. After spinning the wheel, she landed on the ampersand.

Hobbs chose “What are you doing?” Wheel of Fortune gave her “R,S,T,L,N, and E.” She chose “G,C,H, and I.” Hobbs lost the Wild Card after going Bankrupt in the previous round.

Her puzzle then looked like “R_ _ _ _GING IN THE  _ _C_ _ _R_.” As the clock counted down, Hobbs didn’t guess anything.

“It’s a big puzzle to solve,” host Ryan Seacrest said. The puzzle was “Rummaging in the Backyard.” He revealed the envelope, which had $100,000 in it. Hobbs threw her hands on her head and groaned.

At the end of the show, Seacrest told his cohost, Vanna White, that he got excited because he knew the $100,000 was in the envelope, but then Hobbs didn’t win it. None of the Bonus Round contestants that week won.

However, fans called Hobbs’ Bonus Round puzzle ridiculous. “The writers who concocted that ridiculous puzzle are responsible for the loss, not Kristyn. Be honest: how many times in your life have you said the phrase, ‘I’m rummaging around in the backyard’—? You might say, ‘I’m rummaging around in the… closet…garage…junk drawer…’etc., but not the backyard. Unless your backyard is a junkyard! This was impossible in 10 seconds for the contestant,” a YouTube user wrote.

“No one rummages in the backyard!!!” said another.

That’s gotta be one of the toughest bonus puzzles I’ve ever seen,” commented a third. It was “impossible,” added another viewer.

I got rummaging, but I couldn’t get ‘backyard’ obviously because nobody rummages through their backyard,” said another.
